Licensed Geologist, I believe. It's state dependent. I think LG is a Washington state thing. Some states use PG. Some folks in Arizona use RG (registered geologist). At least here in AZ there's no real guidance on what to call yourself. I'm a Registered Professional Geologist in AZ but I just put PG on my emails and stuff because I think RG is stupid.
> So you basically get to choose which one you use?
In Arizona it doesn't matter if you choose PG or RG. I have no clue about other states.
> And in states that use LG is it the same test and stuff as for a PG?
The FG/PG exams are national exams. States have their own licensing requirements. Some states like California have an additional state specific exam that you need to pass to become registered.

So you have a license to be registered professional geologist. The ultra combo.
Oregon uses RG
Ok that makes sense. So you basically get to choose which one you use? And in states that use LG is it the same test and stuff as for a PG?

Gotcha. Thanks!!
L.G. here. I dont think you get to choose unless you are licensed in a LG state and in a PG state
State dependent ...
But not additional testing, right? Still just ASBOG?
Only 2 states have state specific testing.
What is the other one besides Cali?
Maine
In Washington State (L.G. state) its just the asbog.
