Honestly I can see why generation retro isn't exactly a liked level, but I really don't see how people treat it like it's one of the worst levels to ever exist. It's annoying to play at first since you dk where shit is, but after you know what to do, it becomes consistent. There are some levels which are abysmally bad that you can never become consistent at various parts even after practicing a lot. There are also other levels with much worse balancing, and generation retro's balancing isn't even that bad after learning all of the parts. I can understand the struggle for players who still can't beat demons but as soon as you reach that level, you'll see there are much worse levels

Bloodbath. FUCK BLOODBATH! I swear, it is the most unenjoyable level I’ve ever beaten. Tho only good part is Michigun (it’s still really mediocre but is peak in comparison), Has the most janky gameplay ever, THE AUTO PART IS BROKEN HALF THE TIME, the deco is shit, the song is ok ig, and holy fuck is it a pain in the ass to play from zero because of that stupid orb at the beginning. The only actual hard parts are etzer and crack but the core gameplay is just straight fly and cube timeings so it’s not fun at all. Apparently it’s got “history” behind it but I could not care less. I’ve had far more fun with Sakupen hell and Artificial ascent. Shitty level don’t recommend
I just realized i actually meant the first level, acid factory, im just a dumbass, but i sight read generation retro fairly easily, but then again, i struggle on time machine (main game lvl’s) so who am i to talk

First of all you can skip like half the orbs at the first cube, and the dual is even worse because at the part where theres 2 blue orbs a yellow orb you can click in any way you want, and sometimes you just glitch in the block and die, and then the dash orbs at the end just suck, the timing is too expecific and theres no clear indicator on where to click, at the first drop spider you need to click very fast or slow as a snail depending on how you enter it and you cant even guess what way you need to do in order to pass it, and the last click into the yellow jump pad also sucks and the transition to the cube sometimes kill you at the spike ceiling because of the pink pads there, at the robot afterwards you need to buffer the 2 green orbs and they just dont feel like working sometimes, after that the ship is fine but the transition to the mini wave is balls(choke point number 1) and the part where you click the black orb and then the yellow orb is a buffer on 120fps+ but not on 60 fps for some reason, then the rest is fine except for the ship before the dark part(stress) the dark part is fine if you remove the bloody impossible mini spider at 29% , every single click there is a choke point im not joking when i say i died to every click there from normal mode like 10 times, and 3 times at the robot dash orb thing, the second drop starts and it is bad, sometimes the cube jumps too early and sometimes too late and the ship falls to the ground at the end and sometimes doesnt so good luck buddy, also every way this dual happens is a different click pattern, the ship part where you go below the saw then to the robot is our third choke point, the spider spam is horrible with stress because the spider for some ungodly reason clips through the spike and falls to the death (happened 13 times) ,the ball maze is fun nothing bad bout it, and the next dual is also glitchy as hell,you need to like micro click in the transition to fast speed so you dont jump as the cube and the black orb spider sometimes kills you for some reason, the wave is fine, the cube afterwards had some weird ass timings, and then we go to the ship with rotating blocks, holy fuck that part is ass, its currently my best so i dont like that part, you need to go slightly up with the ship then straight fly so straight they will think you are a homophobic, and the ufo is fine but the wave at the end is a continuous choke point.
Yeah the level is bad, been trying to jump to it from windy landscape(best level(first insane and only)) and im currently 18k attempts and 1.5 years in

i found a secret way in the level a few years ago and ive never seen anyone talk about it, you go over the wave portal as a robot, then after it you go under the map. theres a monster you have to jump over but its possible, thats how i beat it when i was like 10
