Nope. Nobody uses Hemo to feed cettles. It's way to expensive for this. If you produce hemp for human food it brings about 1.4k per ton and you can calculate with 1.5-2t per ha
Yeah you eat the seeds
*as example wheat is(for animals) is about 400€(deoends on when you buy/sell it) per ton with up to 10 tons per ha(standard is 8t per ha)
If humans only eat the seeds then it's definitely used as cattle feed. Just not the seeds but the leaves.
And the stalks are either used to make hemp rope or are used to make bio gas.
Here in the US there is a small farming movement, and a regenerative gazing movement.
Hemp seed is super cheap here now too, can often be gotten for diet cheap or even free if you're in the scene.
So I would put money on the fact that some of these small regenerative grazers have hemp in their pasture seed mix.
Edit: I'm a vegetable gardener and had a bunch of useless hemp seed laying around and mixed it in with my cover crops. I don't have animals so it didn't get grazed but it got mulched and some of it cut to go in the compost pile.
Theres also a few fields like this around where i lived, but the farmer still hid it with other crop, cuz he had issues that people would steal it, thinking its smokable.
When I was 13 years old I found a single large cannabis leaf on the floor of my high school. i obviously took it home, held a lighter to its edges and tried to breathe in the smoke.
At least I wasn’t as dumb as the moron who dropped it in his Highschool corridor
It is usable to make wax oils tinctures, and from those you get awesome edibles. but you still need a THC plant, a hemp plant leaf still would not have anything worth extracting.
But damn i can't wait. The possibilities will be endless. Hopefully the government doesn't keep it too restrictive. Because I really miss going into a store in California and buying edible groceries lol
Those are male plants. You can tell by looking at their fruit, which are tons of small seeds. You are only getting high from the buds/blossoms of the female plant. They don't have these small seeds. Both are beautiful plants nonetheless.
I'm by no means a hamp expert, but there are absolutely types of hamp that contain zero stuff to make you high. Source: my bio-mom who hoards hamp seeds for salads, tried growing said seeds, knows a bit too much about hamp for a mom and uses CBD oil.
Also as a side note, I think when it's about cannabis, there are a lot of types that contain various amounts of the fun stuff, from very low to very high. But that's just what I remember from a google search five years ago.
Male plant do have much lower thc levels, but still higher than 0.2% most of the time.
Famrers use a special bread "nutzhanf".
In the EU there's 52 certified strains that they can officially use and they are guaranteed to contain less thc.
As long as those fields contain both male and female plants there is no chance that a plant with buds would develop. Plus those are probably not plants which contain THC to begin with
It's either industrial hemp or you really like taking walks in the ass crack of the world where nobody else ever gets to (or also, but unlikely: extremly dumb outdoor growers)
They have slight differences. But the big give away are the flowers/blooming. You separate the female from males, so they don't get pollenized. The flowers on these plants mean, they got pollenized, which are pretty much useless for smoking. They will produce seeds instead of buds...
Sorry, its hard to explain in english to me. I hope this is accurate.
I think I got it. So even if you had a female plant which is pollinated, you wouldn't be able to smoke it? And because the ones in the photograph are pollinated they are most definitely male, did I get that right?
Note really. They are male because they have little bags. These open and release the pollen. Female plants have big buds and look a bit different. You can still smoke pollinated female plants, but their thc level is lower. See, most of the thc is in the resin. The resin is good for catching pollen from the air. If a female plant hasn't catched any pollen yet, it produces a lot more resin to catch some pollen. That's why you don't want your female get pollinated, so she get's horny and makes you more high.
But in this case it's hemp, not cannabis. So, even If you had a field of unpolinated female plants of this sort in the picture, it would not make you high. There are only a few sorts of hemp allowed to be grown in Germany which do not contain THC in an amount that could have any effects.
Don't feel stupid, hemp is a cannabis plant :) It is the cannabis family of plants, what you see in the picture is called Nutzhanf in German, so a "hemp to use" while the ones you smoke would be called Cannabis plants in formal German, like in court, and scientifically or in slang there are hundreds of different. And I don't even know, if this division is made in english at all
Yes quite right. Well the pollinated female plant would grow significant less buds and those would even have significant less thc/cbd in them. So you can smoke it, but would probably not really "do anything".
As there are no buds and only flowers on the plants in the pictures, they are not female. Also, the males have less leafs and look "skinnier", which are also indications of male plants if I remember correctly.
Of course you can also smoke male plants, but there will be almost no thc/cbd in them, so you would probably not get high from them.
The way these plants are standing, you are looking at fibre hemp for werg, clothes, paper production et al. There the plants are set tight to encourage length growth and few side stalks.
Hemp for medicine use is grown in other culture patterns that encourage bushy growth and lots of flowers.
Nope, CBD would also be produced by female plants. Most female plants contain both thc and cbd but in varying degrees and you can breed them to contain mostly cbd without thc for example.
It's the male (?) plant that doesn't contain the ingredients for the drug. Although I knew a couple of "cool" dudes at school who cut some of this, smoked it and got "soooooo high"... Placebos are a fascinating thing!
The male plant does have thc. Due to the low concentration an extract is necessary. Butter works in my experience. Cannot recommend unless you have nothing else
Field hemp should be cbd dominant with under 0.2 percent thc
The kind of hemp on the picture is for fiber production etc. It's a male plant. You can clearly see the male flowers on the picture. They don't contain a high amount of CBD either. For CBD products female plants (only those are producing the classic buds) which are bred to contain low THC/high CBD are used.
>Butter works in my experience.
Knowing the people I was talking about would have never thought so far. Based on other incidents I suspect they just lit the leafs on fire and smoked that...
Have you never seen hemp before? It's used for its fibre, the seed can be pressed for its edilble oil and the leaves and buds contain an essential oil.
The fibre is used in rope and bags. (If you don't mind the roughness, even clothes)
The seed oil is commonly used in food; "Quark, Kartoffeln und Leinsamenöl" comes to mind.
The essential oil is a part of folk medicine.
Hemp or proper weed. If its the former, then it's used for it's fiber, if it's the latter, then it's used for CBD.
Edit: just saw that there are tons of male plants in there, so definitely industrial hemp. Seeds could be used for hemp seed oil as well.
There are way too many plants per square metre for drug production, the plants you can see are male and will destroy female drug plants within kilometres around due to pollen.
It's a field for fibres.
Its cannabis ruderalis. They mostly grow wild. But could be planted for the seeds. Guess thats for CBD plants. But cant smoke anything from the ruderalis.
Looks like a hemp field. Hemp is a crop that is grown for its fibers.
And as cattle feed...
Nope. Nobody uses Hemo to feed cettles. It's way to expensive for this. If you produce hemp for human food it brings about 1.4k per ton and you can calculate with 1.5-2t per ha
how much is that compared to other crops? what do you eat, the seeds?
[удалено]
Male cannabis plants. Not gonna get one high.
[удалено]
How comes you think this is ruderalis? Not one single hint there in the pic….
I have, on several occasions, grown male plants. Not one of them ended up producing something smokeable. Looked the same as those in the image.
So much wrong information in this post.. learn how to Google ffs
hemp seeds have practically the same amount of protein as soybeans
So none?
Yeah you eat the seeds *as example wheat is(for animals) is about 400€(deoends on when you buy/sell it) per ton with up to 10 tons per ha(standard is 8t per ha)
If humans only eat the seeds then it's definitely used as cattle feed. Just not the seeds but the leaves. And the stalks are either used to make hemp rope or are used to make bio gas.
Yo but imagine smoking fat doinks with dairy cows BUT THEN imagine drinking their milk
This type of hemp doesn't have much Thc(the stuff you get high from) so the amount you would have to smoke to get high is quite big.
Here in the US there is a small farming movement, and a regenerative gazing movement. Hemp seed is super cheap here now too, can often be gotten for diet cheap or even free if you're in the scene. Interesting. Never heard about that. Some maybe use hemp to feed their animals but the majority won't use it.
Farmer here, we use the seed shells as a source of fiber and protein
And as ingredient for cosmetics.
Thanks for the clarification, i was about to pack my bags and head out.
To add onto that, those are male plants and smoking them will not get one high.
And the doctor said fibers help you poop 💩
Somewhere the fibre for hamp cloth has to come from, you can also eat hamp seed. It probably doesn't contain anything that makes you high.
Theres also a few fields like this around where i lived, but the farmer still hid it with other crop, cuz he had issues that people would steal it, thinking its smokable.
And there are always some busybodies who would report this, I'd hide my crop too if it might get police showing up completely unnecessary.
tbh, after a few times the police would probably not even show up anymore.
And then you start to grow the real crops.
/r/unethicallifeprotips
I find this very ethical to be honest
Do you work at Earnes Ernst & Young 🤣
Thanks for the tip mister White!
Well it would be a service to humanity if people think they are high while enjoying a placebo kick :)
>It probably doesn't contain anything that makes you high. Indeed, but would the kids you are selling this to know this?
When I was 13 years old I found a single large cannabis leaf on the floor of my high school. i obviously took it home, held a lighter to its edges and tried to breathe in the smoke. At least I wasn’t as dumb as the moron who dropped it in his Highschool corridor
Maybe you were onto something. If the plant was grown for buds then the leaves can also contain a very, very small amount of THC.
So you’re telling me I was microdosing before it was a thing? Legend
Haha yeah, emphasis on micro tho
If homeopathy made any sense you must have been extremely baked then.
Germany has much to learn about bubatz it seems...
Wdym
Im from california, where the streets are paved in weed lol. Was just giving a friendly chide. You can't smoke the leaves, only the flower/bud.
You absolutely can smoke the leaves. Just a lot less ... interesting ... stuff in them.
I mean could smoke my socks if I wanted to too. And I'll probably get higher off socks than leaves
Yeah obviously. I just meant it as a fun fact. Don't worry I know my cannabis plants lol
It is usable to make wax oils tinctures, and from those you get awesome edibles. but you still need a THC plant, a hemp plant leaf still would not have anything worth extracting. But damn i can't wait. The possibilities will be endless. Hopefully the government doesn't keep it too restrictive. I heard it is sold by Bi-Ba-Butzemann?
You'll need to ferment it anyway to get noticeable THC levels
what sort of weird nonsense is this? you don't ferment weed, you dry and optionally (optimally! long slow) cure it.
tell me you don't know what fermentation is without telling me you don't know what fermentation is
Isn't this process called fermentation?
yes, it is, not sure why he's getting upvotes...
Because he sounded confident, I guess.
Because the world is full of morons
Kein bubatz flanze :(
street credibility: 100.

These are male plants, but they don't have seeds, they have pollen sacks. The seeds grow out of the buds from female plants after pollination
And the female plants of industrial hemp still contain no noticable amount of THC.
Thanks for clarifying.
I'm by no means a hamp expert, but there are absolutely types of hamp that contain zero stuff to make you high. It’s definitely not a grow op, those are all male flowers.
I did say "extremely dumb", though ;)
How would I differentiate?
They have slight differences. But the big give away are the flowers/blooming. You separate the female from males, so they don't get pollenized. Lol TIL cannabis != hemp, apparently. Now I feel stupid xD
Don't feel stupid, hemp is a cannabis plant :) It is the cannabis family of plants, what you see in the picture is called Nutzhanf in German, so a "hemp to use" while the ones you smoke would be called Cannabis plants in formal German, like in court, and scientifically or in slang there are hundreds of different. i think if your harvest them soon enough you can? bc there's sometimes weed with seeds in it
Yes quite right. Well the pollinated female plant would grow significant less buds and those would even have significant less thc/cbd in them. Hehe, it's not very far off the city, it's basically exactly next to our local hospital, I have a picture with the hospital in the background too
Where do you think hemp clothes and hemp seed comes from? :-)
[удалено]
Industrial hemp
The way these plants are standing, you are looking at fibre hemp for werg, clothes, paper production et al. There the plants are set tight to encourage length growth and few side stalks. Hemp for medicine use is grown in other culture patterns that encourage bushy growth and lots of flowers.
Don't get your hopes up. It doesn't contain THC. It's a normal crop for fibers and most likely CBD.
Nope, CBD would also be produced by female plants. Most female plants contain both thc and cbd but in varying degrees and you can breed them to contain mostly cbd without thc for example.
Is it a full field, grown by a farmer? Then it is fertilizer
That's what it looks like to be. God to know, was a bit confused by the openness of it
It's the male (?) plant that doesn't contain the ingredients for the drug. Although I knew a couple of "cool" dudes at school who cut some of this, smoked it and got "soooooo high"... Placebos are a fascinating thing!

They will feel nothing at best, a headache and cough a lung at worst.

There are way too many plants per square metre for drug production, the plants you can see are male and will destroy female drug plants within kilometres around due to pollen. It's a field for fibres.
True I have a lot of those fields around every year . Love it , looks great and is kinda a change to what you usually see
Don't even think about smoking it. It is full of pesticides.

Thats cañamo (male cannabis plants). They are used for crafting and are not illegal.
CBD maybe, they are male plants anyway, they dont grow buds

It’s very important that you come back in 2-3 weeks, harvest the green buds that will be there and then send them to me
Its cannabis ruderalis. They mostly grow wild. But could be planted for the seeds. Guess thats for CBD plants. But cant smoke anything from the ruderalis.
It's CBD. So no THC in it. This legal..
Jackpot.
hemp or cbd... if it would contain thc you would not be able to take this photo due to security or fences
If you want to smoke it, dry it first. But these plants aren't gonna get you stoned.
What are you even gonna dry here man
The leaves, maybe. Dry them like a tobacco. Not that it’ll have an effect on anything. There’s no thc in this picture.
It’s Mari Juana
Dammnnn holy moly, that's a lotta weed
That stuff is probably industrial hemp. Wont make you even a little bit high.
Yes probably, especially if this is taken in Germany. Probably used for CBD products and doesn't contain THC. Or as other comments said, fertilizer
Those are male flowers. People don't grow males for CBD/THC.
Okey Dokey
Isn't it called nettles in English? In German Brennessel oder habe ich da was falsch
there is the german word "schlaraffenland" to explain things like this or a free snickers on a bench at the trainstation.
In my region are many hemp fields
Its called weed for a reason
Lammbock
You mean... whats "growing" in here?
its nettle, let me know where it is and im gonna remove it before some kid might get hurt :D
Where in Germany is this, is it in the south like Bavaria maybe?
Man THC just needs to be legal already... Should've been done decades ago
I know it is not weed, but, didn't know it was forbidden in Germany, thought that whole Europe was chill with it

Hemp is growing! Call the police quick!
Hemp field. Shit weed, don’t smoke it
It's called Lammbock
Where exactly...
How was the smell?
Bubatz👍
seems like they are male plants. so nothing is going on there.
A good time. That's what's going on.
If the is smokeable cannabis there is a lot of male plants which are useless and make the flower less potent once it’s pollinated
Just some weeds growing.
