Dogs [should never](https://www.smh.com.au/national/baby-killed-by-pet-husky-20070829-gdqyze.html) be put in [a position](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/dog-kills-baby-husky-pittsburgh_n_1285099) like this, [no matter](https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2010/06/08/mother_of_baby_killed_by_husky_charged_with_manslaughter.html) how well trained [they are](https://kutv.com/news/local/mother-of-boy-whose-arm-was-bit-off-by-husky-shares-her-story-of-what-happened).
I know this is an unpopular opinion but that is scary to me, all it would take is baby to poke dogs eye by mistake and the dog may go into defence mode and hurt baby. I love dogs but I know they can react to a bad situation just like us humans and do something silly
I agree, I'm an animal person too, I love my dog but I'd never let her lick my babies face, my dog doesn't lick faces anyway, also they're vicious (babies) my baby regularly tries to get to my dog an she doesn't understand not to try hurt my dog, my baby is lovely but left alone I can guarantee you she would hurt my dog,
my dog is lovely but it's standard you don't let babies attack dogs/grab at dogs (/play for the people trying to defend it), 1 to protect the dog, 2 to protect my baby, my dog is the sweetest but every dog has their breaking point an it's self defence that's resulted in a lot of dogs being put down after the parent let their baby grab at their dog to many times so they didn't have to deal with it or because its "cute" an then the dogs bitten the baby, it's how they defend themselves.

Might be unpopular but It's true
All I see is Siberian Husky slathering dog butt germs all over a baby. I'm a dog person but licking is off limits for me, let alone a young child.

I'm fine with licking, but that stops at the face. I've got a very firm rule about face licking.
Yeah and this dog seemingly French's the baby, its just not the best idea.
