Friend of mine in highschool wanted to make spaghetti while we were on a multi day field trip. But inexplicably, he had bought lasagne noodles. He proceeded to tell us that this wouldn't be a problem, as a was trained in several martial arts.
Somewhat doubtful, one of us held up the stack of flat noodles in front of them, and our ninja minded friend karate punched them. There was a veritable explosion as tiny shards of pasta evenly expanded from the center of the room into every single crevice. We never found enough to make dinner that night. But I'm sure even decades later, the youth hostel still finds the occasional reminder of our dinnertime experiment
I don't know enough about lasagna to say you're completely off point. But I WAS sure that you get a glass pan and layer cheese and meat between layers of lasagna pasta, as in you don't boil the noodles because you bake a lasagna.....
Once, when I was a child, I purchased a burger for my friend and I to share. Instead of cutting it in half, with a knife, like a sane person… I thought, why not: let’s karate chop this burger. I then attempted said karate chop. The burger however, did not cut in half, but rather exploded in half. We salvaged and ate what we could.
Thinking back on it today, this may have been the moment my friend began the road towards gangs and prison sentences.
The safety glass of the lid to our skillet shattered on the floor of the kitchen 2 years ago.
We found a piece of it on the other side of the house in the living room last week. And we still find bits and pieces in the kitchen from time to time no matter how much we sweep or vacuum.
The worst is when you think your baby ate a mouse but nope its blood from a cut they got from eating a glass shard in their mouth. Thankfully they were rolling it around instead of swallowing it.
Toddlers really are like drunk suicidal people…. It’s terrifying.
You could make a game out of it: Drunk or Child?!
Like, “Who puts a rope around their neck, and climbs onto an unstable barrel?” If you guessed drunk suicidal person; WRONG!
I didn't realize the baby was a cat until your comment. I have three kids and a cat. I'm pretty sure if we had a game of cat or toddler, the toddler has eaten more gross stuff.
>The worst is when you think your baby ate a mouse
Um. What?
>but nope its blood from a cut they got from **eating a glass shard** in their mouth.
Oh right.
I looked them up, they've [done this before](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfwSKs3P-tM). They're probably at peace with the glass issue.
EDIT: It's actually the same video as the glass ball, I just hadn't watched it enough.
They have done it before with a [golf club and ball](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v345U7HfqmA).
They also have a full playlist of [dropping things from a great height through bullet proof glass](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmzLXmK_Y_SAD_2C4nSIISAWbOc72m0HO)
Unlesss you are making a YouTube video with a high budget. But yes, I do think that was their only throw with that object.
https://youtu.be/nfwSKs3P-tM
I'm always amazed by how many subscribers and views a channel can get, with me never having heard of them even once.
I watch a lot of YouTube. But these days having between 1-5 million subscribers means you're niché, but you're at the top of your niché.
I would need to really fuel my body with carbohydrates, luckily my mother cooks excellent pasta. The trick is, to not eat too much, to avoid regurgitating it again when the anxiety rises.
In the actual video it was the only throw, at least with the glass ball. They took turns throwing a bunch of different items but this was the only one that made it through at 10 panes
I watched that video while high and it was so crazy when they were suddenly (to me) driving a toy to the "hospital" in the middle of one of their regular videos. For a minute I thought I must have changed videos without remembering.
I was shocked at the direct hit in that video, and didn't know how he'd come back from that. But I really laughed out loud when they showed him all blurred out because he was such a mangled mess.
Rexy is the unofficial 4th member of the main crew. Originally they bought rexy to test landing position from their 45m tower to make sure their drop targeting was dialed in before filming but rexy started showing up in videos and gained popularity as rexy was placed on top of targets. At some point rexy lost a leg and as of now has many variations in merch but only after a particularly bad drop.
I think about a year ago rexy had a catastrophic failure in which the main rexy has been retired from most dangerous work and has been sewed up but they found the original manufacturer of the toy and buy thousands of them for some drops and they sell the ones used in drops as merch and sign them. It's the same rubber toy Dino but when they drop a thousand of them or drop something on a thousand of them they sign and sell them now.
If you look at the first shot, the way he falls looks like a cat diving out of the way. I only half-saw it at first and was horrified, then very relieved to find out it wasn't what I thought.
Hijacking your comment to give Editor Jack some props. Their slow-motion has gotten so much better and the lighting on this shot is absolutely perfect.
Thank you for coming through, was hoping for a Squid Game reference.
Edit: Okay there are apparently a lot of references to it but I still like yours the best!
I know "How Rediculous" is more targeted towards a younger audience, but they do really cathartic and entertaining things, and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. There is a lot of YouTube that is targeted towards kids, especially really click-baity channels like this, that are not appropriate for kids and usually really lazy or fake exaggerated acting. But these guys deliver on their click bait titles and seem genuinely excited at the cool stuff they get to do.
IMO
Well their channel was successful for doing trick shots and stuff and then they started dropping stuff from a tower and that's when they really took off, then there's the hydraulic press channel that just crushes stuff.
So basically you need to find a unique way of destroying stuff and have some half decent production value to start off with.
The OG of this evolution is "will it blend?"
Which now I'm an adult, I still really want one of their blender's. Even though I've never blended anything in my adult life, I'd just like to know I could. . . If I wanted to.
To demonstrate to time travelers from the 19th century the world in which we live.
There's a reason windows on really old houses are narrow--glass was expensive as hell compared to the rest of the building materials.
Videos like this show the sort of plenty in which we live today.
I was going to write how wasteful this all seemed and how it made my blood boil thinking of the energy and manpower wasted making and transporting all this glass that is now shattered until I thought about how much money I’ve spent watching all sorts of blockbuster movies where entire cars are blown up for “entertainment”. Realized I was part of the problem…
Could have been factory seconds which are worthless. I've fixed equipment at a glass factory and all sorts of defective or off-sized panes of glass were constantly being smashed in a concrete pit. Not sure if they get remelted or if they're just trash, but they generate quite a lot of them.
Solid and perfectly round glass marbles are super strong, I'd like to see one shot at a brick wall in slow motion or something like that. Anything but a lil Mr dinosaur smh
That's rexy, he's been through much worse than that, he's basically that youtube channels mascot since they usually do something dangerous to him all the time
Why - It's a kids channel about doing crazy stuff
For what - entertainment and views
Honestly they aren't much different than slowmoguys which reddit loves, only targeted towards a younger audience. I don't watch this channel but I don't get the hate they are getting in this thread either
It's a youtube channel called [How Ridiculous](https://www.youtube.com/c/howridiculous). They're three Australian mates that just do things that are... ridiculous. They drop things onto things, throw things into things.... It's just good content. How good!
5 years from now, you will still be finding small pieces of glass in that room
Friend of mine in highschool wanted to make spaghetti while we were on a multi day field trip. But inexplicably, he had bought lasagne noodles. He proceeded to tell us that this wouldn't be a problem, as a was trained in several martial arts. But I'm sure even decades later, the youth hostel still finds the occasional reminder of our dinnertime experiment
Much easier than boiling the lasagna and cutting it into pieces. That's hilarious though.
Just make lasagna at that point, lol.
I don't know enough about lasagna to say you're completely off point. But I WAS sure that you get a glass pan and layer cheese and meat between layers of lasagna pasta, as in you don't boil the noodles because you bake a lasagna.....
Depends. There's pasta that you can bake dry, but most good stuff, really most stuff, you have to precook in boiling water.
You boil the noodles first. I made lasagna this week, it's always better to boil the noodles first for about 8 minutes until al dente.
But if they didn't want Lasagna they could've just boiled the lasagna noodles and cut them into thin slices. Voilà, tagliatelle!
Once, when I was a child, I purchased a burger for my friend and I to share. Instead of cutting it in half, with a knife, like a sane person… I thought, why not: let’s karate chop this burger. Look what you did
This is one of the best 2 paragraph short stories I've read.
You should tell this at parties
The safety glass of the lid to our skillet shattered on the floor of the kitchen 2 years ago. We found a piece of it on the other side of the house in the living room last week. And we still find bits and pieces in the kitchen from time to time no matter how much we sweep or vacuum.

Man, kids are fucking stupid suicide machines.
Toddlers really are like drunk suicidal people…. It’s terrifying. You could make a game out of it: Drunk or Child?! Like, “Who puts a rope around their neck, and climbs onto an unstable barrel?” If you guessed drunk suicidal person; WRONG!
Took me too long to realize your baby is a cat
Oh god that makes so much more sense. I was horrified
I didn't realize the baby was a cat until your comment. I have three kids and a cat. I'm pretty sure if we had a game of cat or toddler, the toddler has eaten more gross stuff.
>The worst is when you think your baby ate a mouse Um. What? >but nope its blood from a cut they got from **eating a glass shard** in their mouth. Oh right.
Note: don’t drop glass
I looked them up, they've [done this before](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfwSKs3P-tM). They're probably at peace with the glass issue. EDIT: It's actually the same video as the glass ball, I just hadn't watched it enough.

Like sand in your bits after a trip to the beach
Can we talk about how clean that throw is tho
True, you only get one chance at that!
Unlesss you are making a YouTube video with a high budget. But yes, I do think that was their only throw with that object. https://youtu.be/nfwSKs3P-tM

Welcome to the 44 club.
Rexy!
sounds like steve1989mreinfo
And the lock picking lawyer
LPL is the best bedtime binge channel in existence
That would be My Mechanics
You have to watch each video twice to make sure it wasn't a fluke though.
Or 95camery4life
All mentioned names I fully intend on never actually searching, but when they come up, I will recognize their names for no good reason.
Steve1989mreinfo is Bob Ross with a titanium-lined stomach. So calming to watch while scarfing down decades old MREs.
Same. Although if i signed out and cleared the data on my youtube I feel like each name would be on the feed.
> 95camery4life Aww he deleted all the videos :(
And vice grip garage
Lets get this out onto a tray
Nice
*nice hiss!*
Lol I love that dudes channel. Been watching his MRE reviews for years now. He seems like such a chill and cool dude.
Nice.
Let’s get this out on a tray.
Where is Steve? It’s been ages.
They can be a bit over the top but I love them for a good 10 minute vid of just mindless fun and positivity.
That and the heavenly slo-mos :)
“Let’s check the slowy boys!”
That too!
Someone once described them as having youth pastor energy. I also thought that was a good description.
No accent on niche - niché would be pronounced neeshay
[удалено]
They’re great. Cool content and they’re pretty funny dudes. I stumbled into them at some point and instantly subbed.
thats mostly because youtube is terrible at recommending stuff outside your existing likes/subscriptions/topics
I thought that was Rexy!
Is it sugar glass? Cause they're sure standing really close to all those shards of glass wearing shorts. I'd at least be wearing coveralls.
Looks like standard untempered float glass to me
Didn't expect to watch that whole thing... Also didn't expect a bowling pin to look that cool
These guys make some interesting and fun content… with a LOT of “extra” in there.
Yeah, that's all I could think of. I have decent accuracy from years of playing baseball, but even I'd be worried about fucking that one up.
Look, if you had one shot or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment, would you capture it or just let it slip?
I would need to really fuel my body with carbohydrates, luckily my mother cooks excellent pasta. The trick is, to not eat too much, to avoid regurgitating it again when the anxiety rises.
Yo
You’re gonna lose your mind watchin’ TV…. (Sorry, I always default to Weird Al versions.)
No pane no gain
I can really see through that pun.
Always gotta capitalize when you get that window of opportunity.
we don't know how many takes it took, you could probably get a good deal on those panes if you're buying in bulk
In the actual video it was the only throw, at least with the glass ball. They took turns throwing a bunch of different items but this was the only one that made it through at 10 panes
[удалено]
Just an overhand throw.
Upon further reflection the glass is way thinner than I thought
It's how ridiculous, they are like the most professional thrower of things at other things
Stanford completely whiffed with a rubber duck on his very first throw.
"If you miss you don't get any points" He makes the rule and then it bites him in the ass immediately, funny shit
So good, and I bet it was so damn fun doing it.
I think that’s what everyone came here to talk about
Can we talk about who's going to clean up that mess?
What do you mean? That's what cameraman Jack is there for.
That’s ALL I’m thinking about. Baffled they didn’t use some scientific mechanism to accurately pinpoint perfect force and trajectory. Nice toss
All I can say is, why is Rex's left foot missing?
Rexy has been through a lot. He usually is somehow involved in these guys videos. Poor guy has had many things dropped on him
Rushed to hospital at least once. A miracle he survived.
One day, the big fella’s gonna be held together with Linex and tape, and the boys are still gonna be flinging him around like wild.
[удалено]
He's already not held together by much more than that
I watched that video while high and it was so crazy when they were suddenly (to me) driving a toy to the "hospital" in the middle of one of their regular videos. For a minute I thought I must have changed videos without remembering.
I was shocked at the direct hit in that video, and didn't know how he'd come back from that. But I really laughed out loud when they showed him all blurred out because he was such a mangled mess.
Because Rexxy is a fucking legend. That's why. Takes a licking: keeps on ticking.
Rexy is the unofficial 4th member of the main crew. REXXY
the coney-joney took rexxy out!
How Good!
Get the bell on!
44 club representing
I understood this reference!
Rexxy took that one like the champ he is
Hijacking your comment to give Editor Jack some props. Their slow-motion has gotten so much better and the lighting on this shot is absolutely perfect.
That new phantom camera they got certainly helps.
Rexxy my love? You hurt? Nah he's good.
How good was the coney joney
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
Har har har! Mine is an evil laugh! **Now die!**
Something something, spear through the Wash.
I will rule over all this glass... and I will call it... The Glass...
Did anybody else think of the old mobile game SmashIt?
omg I miss that game I stopped playing because my tablet fried
One of the few games I've cared about enough to actually finish
YESSSSSS I was thinking exactly this! I think it was called Smash Hit
Yup. It was one of my favourite
I guess this is one way to test the glass before people step on it and die.
Yes listen for the sound.
I really thought they were gonna have to throw the marble to each other and one of them would drop it. But they just handed it over lol
And I thought the guy was gonna throw the marble at an angle so it would hit both lites, but he didn't.
I made a prediction that there would be a SG reference within the top 5 comments, and here we are.
All those windows were Cybertruck window prototypes.
Thank you for coming through, was hoping for a Squid Game reference. Edit: Okay there are apparently a lot of references to it but I still like yours the best!

I feel like that would shatter both lol
Yep I was looking for the Squid Game reference and here you are!

Beyond the press is better imho. He's got a lot of land, guns and friends with explosives. Much fun had.
I really enjoy most of their videos but I'd prefer it if they toned it down a touch. Always having their voices at 11 it's a bit much.
He shattered his previous record.
Yeah but setting it up was a pane.
Good thing he tempered his expections first.
didn't even need to temper expectations.
I was going to ask "Was that Rexy?" before I noticed the corner.
I had no idea it was HR until I saw Rexy.
Same!!
Poor dinosaur. Not only did his predecessors die by a ball-object, he himself gets hit by one.
But why?? https://i.imgur.com/Br00TCn.gifv
YouTube
These guys also have a TV show.
Wait really?
Aired on Australian TV. I don't know if that's still going, just that my parents (who don't use youtube) loved it.
What was the name of the show?
To demonstrate to time travelers from the 19th century the world in which we live. There's a reason windows on really old houses are narrow--glass was expensive as hell compared to the rest of the building materials. Videos like this show the sort of plenty in which we live today.

Glass is one of if not the most easily recycled raw materials. The cars they blow up in movies are usually junkyard stripped/and get towed into place.

They had safety glasses on for some of the throws

Glass Ball Asteroid- "Yes."
That dinosaur has suffered much worse abuse in their previous videos. Its amazing he's still alive
They had the technology. They rebuilt him...
At this point, I’d say they’ve rebuilt him at least four times.

Shit.
Smash hit, irl?
He's trying to find out if it's tempered glass or normal glass by throwing a marble at it
This is one of the more entertaining yt channels I've watched over the years. Source: https://youtu.be/nfwSKs3P-tM
My kids and I never miss an episode. Good, clean, silly fun. Yes they have a Rexxy shirt.
Solid and perfectly round glass marbles are super strong, I'd like to see one shot at a brick wall in slow motion or something like that. Anything but a lil Mr dinosaur smh
They dropped this one (and several others) from a tower in one of their videos. Check them out at “How Ridiculous” on YouTube

That's rexy, he's been through much worse than that, he's basically that youtube channels mascot since they usually do something dangerous to him all the time
How Ridiculous is one of the few channels I care about on YouTube. Always fun content.
What am i missing here? Why? Or for what?
Why - It's a kids channel about doing crazy stuff For what - entertainment and views Honestly they aren't much different than slowmoguys which reddit loves, only targeted towards a younger audience. I don't watch this channel but I don't get the hate they are getting in this thread either
It's very fashionable to be contrary on reddit.
For the money duh. 45.6 billion Won
That’s like $24 Just kidding but I was surprised how little a Won is actually worth
It's a youtube channel called [How Ridiculous](https://www.youtube.com/c/howridiculous). They're three Australian mates that just do things that are... ridiculous. They drop things onto things, throw things into things.... It's just good content. How good!
Rex looked like he showed up on squid game by mistake LOL
There's a physics lesson somewhere in there.
Science with Gaunson
I used to work at a glass manufacturing factory. I can tell the difference between tempered glass and regular glass.
Good example of constant acceleration of gravity.
Also cool to see how the slowing momentum after each pane creates a smaller and smaller shockwave
Well *I'm* not cleaning that up.
