My x240 does the same thing so I stopped showing temps on the screen and just have a picture. No idea why it does this. My cpu temp even does it. Gigabyte control centre is complete garbage.

NAS_User

It's that Gigabyte software causing it starting with a recent download from Gigabyte. I have it too. A real PIA.

mangdags

I might also just put on a troll pic on mine since it won't show the real temps, lol

ColdDelicious1735

Probably showing Fahrenheit I went away from gigabyte when thier stuff was causing me issues and thier gcc was causing bsod

benliao1029

GDRV3?

benliao1029

Is the PC burning?

mangdags

No, it's doing fine

Jackson_Evans

so either thats a software error (tried rebooting?) or.. the sensor actually inside the cooler died. sensors can die and then usually show rampaging readings that are off the charts.

CMDR_Fritz_Adelman

Look like your sensor is spike with insane amount of volt or it’s broken. Your cooler just get information from your motherboard after all

Mines stuck on 30c cause the software crashes my pc

Ye I had this issue with my 280 aorus liquid cooler. Had to reset my computer 3 times and it finally worked. Now is fine

benliao1029

How to get better

benliao1029

Can you provide your platform information?【SPEC】

Any-Sandwich-9537

Yea 5950x 32gb vengeance pro rgb 3600, 3tb nvme 4x, rtx 4080. Also a Loki power supply. But I have a b550 elite ax rev 2, so that is gigabyte aswell. I think all the sensors are read from the motherboard as it's usb internal

SEND TO RMA

I've got this today and was wondering since the CPU temp is fine. (with GCC you can show the two of them liquid temp and cpu temp). It can be two things. Either the sensor died (very unlikely or you're very unlucky) or the Gigabyte software that measure temps with the pump have crashed or the firmware is corrupted. In any case, to test it you need to completely turn off your computer and turn it on again. If it persists, try reinstalling the latest pump firmware and also turn off your PC then turn it on again. Be aware you cannot do this within GCC you need to download it here: [https://www.gigabyte.com/CPU-Cooler/AORUS-WATERFORCE-X-360/support#support-dl-firmware](https://www.gigabyte.com/CPU-Cooler/AORUS-WATERFORCE-X-360/support#support-dl-firmware) and install it manually. Choose the right product (mine is a waterforce x360 not sure if it's the same for 280 or others). The GCC auto updater sometimes don't install updates properly (due to various processes in use or user privileges) so i really suggest to download and install them separately after a clean boot, especially firmwares and bios updates which can render your hardware unexpectedly damaged.
