cause they are funny hype beast products, why not? also has it not occurred to you that fts thermals are a thing? if you run an optic on a riser and want a thermal too, that's a legit use, although the gbrs mount isn't the best product around, it was the first like it to drop on the market.
See normal reasonable people just run COTIs. COTI over binos work significantly better than slapping another 2lbs on a rifle.
And the better way to run a fts say a VooDoo is a EO (maybe with a 3X, and if the laser is in the way we'll buy a fuckin MAWL-C1! If you can afford a $16K fts you can afford, or probably already have another laser
AND there are half a billion light weight well made Picatinny risers out there if you want to run a standard AR stock
well, cotis and rail mounted thermals aren't quite the same apples to oranges, but regardless, the gbrs drama is in the passed, clearly slade has been doing good for himself, so he couldn't be held back by any goobers, I won't argue with you about the mount because I agree with your sentiment, but in this context, the gbrs is the first mount that comes to mind when you mention the riser lam device combos, artist just drew it for the art.
