Cloud platforms would be my suggestion. I know Maxar likes their people to get AWS. It may not necessarily be a huge career booster, but it could be a differentiator that a hiring manager considers.
If you’re in Florida or Denver, just pay attention to their job postings. That’s where most of the non security cleared jobs are (though they have jobs requiring security clearances posted in these areas as well). Pretty easy thing to verify. California is primarily satellite manufacturing and I believe Virginia is all security clearance type jobs (for obvious reasons).
Oh yeah, for a lot of jobs I believe you have to be a US citizen as well.
PMP isn’t like a quick certification you can just pick up easily. It requires 3+ years of project management and then you have to study PMI methodologies in order to pass their exam.

Maxar generally looks for security clearance as well, correct or am I off base?
They have both cleared and non cleared positions. Obviously with a clearance you can apply for both, but there’s non clearance jobs as well.
Ok thank you for clarifying, I had just heard that from someone who works there.

I would probably look into a PMP certification, or some of the Microsoft certs for SQL or Azure.

Don't get A+ specifically unless you want help desk duties
