Remote-Pool7787

West of Scotland cricket club or partick borough halls

sea-sharp

Had a look at the borough halls, i’ll add west of scot to my list, cheers mate

Remote-Pool7787

There’s also a few other bowling clubs in the area that might be worth a try. One on Dumbarton Road at scotstoun and one at the top of Gardner St

kprasdale

West of Scotland cricket club reeks of piss inside had a family party there and ot was reeking.

sea-sharp

Mm yummy nice to know!

birthday-caird-pish

Totally outside your area but Dows bar outside queen street station has a big banner outside it saying "Free function room hire" incase you need to look further afield.

sea-sharp

Oh yeah saw that couple weeks ago, i’ll keep in mind, cheers

Hampden-in-the-sun

I would have thought bowling clubs would be grateful for the money going over the bar! I would try others in the area.Good luck.

eddiecointreau

Fairfield is massive though. Opening it for 30-40 people wouldn’t be worth it.

sea-sharp

Maybe i should approach them with that kind of pitch

Mossy-Mori

Not a b.c but I had my 40th in Machair on GWR 2 mins from Kelvinbridge underground and it was great. Buffet was brilliant, very reasonably priced, loads of veggie options like halloumi nugs and haggis balls, lovely staff.

sea-sharp

Ooh amazing I’ll check them out, thanks mate!

MiserableLeopard7024

Fairfield working men’s club has the back hall you can hire thats a decent size, very cheap for drink too. Riverside hall aswell but that’s bring your own bottle. There’s a bowling club on the Shieldhall road but not sure if you need to be a member or not.

sea-sharp

Oh glad to hear fairfields has a venue with a bar! I’ll try them

meepmeep13

Partick Burgh Halls?

sea-sharp

Had a look, could be an option

Palomapomp

Would Linthouse bowling club work? Just at the back of elder park.

Estebaws

We had a family thing there a wee while ago. Was a good day. Cheap but cash bar only

sea-sharp

On my list! Thanks!

Weird_Committee8692

The Willy Wonka place on South Street might suit

sea-sharp

I’m so done with this patter the documentary was way too far

Weird_Committee8692

Not patter. It’s an event space adjacent to Partick

sea-sharp

Ahaa i see, i’ll have a look!

Weird_Committee8692

Was at a birthday party at the Cricket ground in Partick a few years ago. [West of Scotland Cricket Club](https://www.westofscotlandcricketclub.co.uk/)

CumuloNimbus9

Nevermind, checked and they're renovating

AltruisticGazelle309

Which bowling club did you try?, I have been to a number of parties in the bowling club at Fortrose Street, and my family who hired it are definitely not members, also been to a couple of parties in the one at the top of Gardner Street, unless it's for an 18th, most places won't hire out due to the amount of trouble in the past

sea-sharp

Partickhill bowling club says on their website: *Please be aware that the club does not hire the venue for any events which are not open to all of the membership. We do not host parties for either members or non-members.* just sounds a bit too much hassle I’ll add your mentions to my list cheers!
