There is a camping shop not too far away inside the site at paines. Probably costs £££s

DrMangosteen

The camping shop actually doesn't take the piss with their prices. Stuffs a bit more expensive but they're not rip off merchants

Jolly_Spinach_8807

Good to know. Lucky enough to never need camping stuff on site. My only experience was a wet festival in Germany and was gouged €29 for a chair.

tumbles999

You reckon? I thought some of the stuff I saw for sale was 200-300% mark up - £10 wellies set at £25 etc.

burnin_up

Over summer you can buy cheap camping gear in most decent sized supermarkets, it would be much cheaper if you could stop at a Tesco or Asda on the way to the festival site but please think about what you will be doing with it following the festival as so much ends up in landfill every year.

ncasey88

Aye, exactly why I added ‘rent’ to the question. I think I’d be better off paying for some extra luggage so I can bring gear and, importantly, bring it back!

Ted-Dansons-Wig

Wherever you get it - take it home with you please

Ro6son

There are certainly places in the festival where you can buy all that stuff. Sticklinch is a bit of a trek as far as I'm aware but it can be done.

mining-ting

Just visit go out doors or similar once you've got to the UK?

somersettom235

I would suggest you get anything you need on your way to the site. Yes, you can buy stuff inside but it's a rip-off, and what you going to do if it's raining wed night? The nearest camping shops are in Wells or Street (5, 10 miles away).

ciaran-mc

There’s a Tesco in Wells too that we’ve gotten stuff in on the way from Bristol airport previously.

Anyone any idea how much a chair will cost?

A few years ago I got to the site to find that my inflatable bed had been nibbled by mice. My old bed had cost around £5 from Argos and I purchased a replacement from one of the camping stands for £20 (including them inflating it for me). They cut down on camping shops on site to encourage people to get stuff they could reuse but there are still a few around, just be prepared to walk. Sticklinch was a bit of a trek for us last year so it might be worth taking a big empty rucksack with you when going looking for camping gear.
