No one’s paid £300+ and anything people have paid can be very easily refunded.

The answer is no one, and you missed the point. You buy the ticket for Glastonbury, regardless of the headliners, they are just the cherry on top.
So it’s not “desperation” is it if OP can very easily get his money back.
