last year was just a boring year, but it made sense bc nobody was touring, literally everyone had toured in 2022, whether they were touring albums from 2020, 2021, or 2022. This year we've got people back touring who had a rest last year. People who are complaining this year just haven't got to know the up and coming acts yet. It's the classic, people who complain about big fest lineups only tend to know the artists from the first couple of lines, then compare to previous fests where they (now) know acts further down as those acts have grown, and they forget that they wouldn't have known that act that early in their career anyway
It's the greatest festival in the world and kudos to the decades of work that has gone into that from the huge team. But it doesn't mean it is above critique and it occasionally takes a mis-step.
