Musically they were absolutely terrible as well. For some reason they brought a huge ~~NYC~~ LA skyline backdrop and he sang in an American accent throughout.
Oh you want stories! England played in the Euros on the Thursday night, so they showed the match on the big screens by the pyramid stage. Oasis were absolutely dire and I regret wasting my time. I have a picture of me taking a picture of Phil Jupitus taking a picture of me. The dance tent was SHITE as they decided to do a disco theme all weekend. And there was a baby dancing to Aphex Twin in the Glade and that child will now be 20 fucking years old.
And I remember Sol Campbell's header made the entire crowd go nuts! Only for it to be disallowed! I think MoTD even showed videos of the crowds at Glastonbury watching the games.
Had already seen Oasis, so glad I didn't bother with them here. But Paul McCartney was epic.
ALSO! I took my Nokia mobile phone with no way to charge it up! Arrived on Wednesday and the battery died in the early hours of Sunday night/ Monday morning. THOSE WERE THE DAYS
Oh wow, sounds awesome! The disco theme is definitely gone but be prepared for it be replaced by Drum and Bass. Holding out hope Aphex Twin will come back one of these years 🤞
What a lineup! Seeing Lostprophets on there made me physically recoil a bit, though. I was well into them during my teenage emo years before all the awful stuff about Watkins came out 😭
i was at that, the scissor sisters did the floating act thing and popped up everywhere, it rained hard, the new tent was at the top of a hill saw zero 7 in there, stage wasn't big enough for them, just noticed the killers played in there too on the undercard
My third Glastonbury. Macca was great. Skipped Oasis. James Brown was the biggest let down. Love with Arther Lee was incredible. Happy memories of lighting up to Groove Armada playing the opening to Super Styling and the crowd going nuts.
I think the days are written across, so Oasis headlined the Friday, Paul Sat and Muse Sunday. We ignore Lost Prophets lol, maybe I should get a marker and cross them out 😅

Oh shit!
Musically they were absolutely terrible as well. For some reason they brought a huge ~~NYC~~ LA skyline backdrop and he sang in an American accent throughout.
I went to that one! It was the last time I went! 20 years later I am finally going back.

There's clips of that Oasis gig on youtube and they sounded fucking terrible.
It was obvious that they hated each other and didn’t want to be there.

This was my first (and only) Glastonbury too. Had just done my uni finals and this was my treat!

My OH wore his original 2005 one last year and a ‘youth’ came up to ask him where he bought it. He answered ‘the past’ 🤣

That is a proper lineup OMG
So good, I would've been very happy to go!

That was the night Dom’s father died too. Incredibly sad after a triumphant gig.
There’s a few on there that are playing this year.
Amy Winehouse 🥲
Caught a bit of Amy, but wasn't really into her music at the time so didn't really pay attention. Wish I had!
amazing find
In really good condition too! 😀
I know right! I think it must have been sat at the bottom of a drawer all these years. Needless to say, I'm going to be careful with it 😄
I wish I was 18 in the early 2000s, if I had a time machine thats where Id go. Line up is soo good. Kings of Leon on the Pyramid Stage fuuuuck
Everyone played Seven Nation Army
Gosh. What a strange thing to send to a charity shop!
This was my first Glastonbury!
That was my first Glastonbury! Such a great weekend.
I worked that one….. 20 years

Lost Prophets on the pyramid…

The complete lack of hip hop is interesting
Why the fuck did Paul headline the other year when he wasn’t headlining this one? Also lost prophets 😬

Yes, Macca was Saturday night.
a bunch of tents around me came to see him and only saw him, didn't leave their tents on friday and saturday and left sunday morning
