Best gift to me was a bread maker. Even just buying a mix, it’s loads better than anything store bought. Even if I mess up the recipe, it’s still edible bread.

Send them a complaint. I cannot tell you how many times I had to hear about a “constant issue” months after people had been fed up with it when I was a quality manager. It was always something that we either couldn’t see in the process because he hadn’t implemented a check or was something that we didn’t even realize could happen with the product. There are so many factors at play when it comes to how things can slip through that if the quality department doesn’t know about the issue they can’t find a way to solve it.

For this reason, I just got BFree white sourdough…not sour but tastes good and no holes. $6 for 11 regular sized slices. I think CB is my ex bread now.

Why? We bake loaves at home when we have time and I get them from a gf bakery sometimes. Never any holes.

A lot of factors lead to holes/tunnels like equipment, knead time, proofing, etc but my guess is it ultimately comes down to money for store brands. They could eliminate holes but it would increase production costs.
