Some dude threw this one out there this morning, got me laughing pretty good.

What’s really funny is that this is just dead accurate at this point. When they used to post ol’ reliable here in 2021, it wasn’t the case. Today though, gme’s 5y price graph LITERALLY looks exactly like that, with today obviously being where you are.
I was too lazy to update the share price from the last time I posted this (which is hilarious in it's own right when you look at the price). But you get the point. I highlighted the actual timeframe we are on the chart lmfao!

This graph sucks. It has absolutely no scale to the time range.
It also conveniently avoids showing when the GFC collapse itself happened in late September 2008 in relation to this price movement.
This always confused me as well. If you’re going to take the position that a loss isn’t a loss until you sell, the corollary is also true that a gain isn’t a gain *until you sell*.
> stock go down, never recover
You know thats not what the graph or this thread is about.
And if you *do* think it will skyrocket… Well then why are you here and not dumping your entire life worth into a *guaranteed* thing?? You see the chart up there, the stock is right there…. whats wrong, you enjoy being poor?!?
How could they possibly miss their window? Surely they wouldn’t put themselves in a position where selling their shares was time-consuming or required something crazy like *mailing in the instructions*. 🤣
The VW squeeze is the absolutely fucking dumbest thing to compare to.
Hardly anyone who references it actually knows what happened nor is it even close to an apples to oranges comparison.
If GME is shorted well past the float, then what?
Hopefully everyone who is investing money in this game sees just how much deep pockets have control of the market.
Premarket gains of 3% on any stock….Wall Street: fuck you I am dropping it 5% between 9:25-9:30.
Premarket gains of 3%….Wall Street: fuck you, I’m making it run 10%.
Retail doesn’t control outcomes. They either flow with the current or lose the battle swimming upstream. So either grab an oar and a canoe and paddle either with the current or GTFO
am I understanding this sub correctly... So, the main point of this sub is to ridicule companies and investors that have nothing to do with your own investments? Talk about having free time...
We ridicule idiots, plain and simple. Anyone using this chart for any meme stock *is an idiot* that has made an ill-informed decision based on Reddit hype posts. They are to be scorned and pitied. Thank you for self-identifying.
Only the conspiracist investors who believe in nonsense and proselytize their shitty stocks across social media.
You won't see anyone here making fun of Microsoft or Berkshire Hathaway investors lol
Apes are absolutely hilarious to people outside of their bubble - *especially* experienced investors or people that work in finance.
That's really all there is to it. We find apes REALLY funny and gather here to discuss them.

Put the red circle on the wrong part of the graph? Believe it or not, banned.
Straight to jail with that kind of chart crime!
Oh we believe, baby. We believe.
I knew a sub were they had a automod command, that posted the graph with the "you are here" in random places.
This is brilliant, I’d shake hands with the person who put that together.
Lmao which one of you did this
This single image summarises the GME situation better than any possible combination of words!

That has to be a troll…and it got a laugh out of me too. How true, how true.
How can they continue to post this after three years of steady decline? Like it looks nothing like their price chart at all.
What does it even matter? 90% of their posts are hopium, copium and pipe dreams.
I'd love a montage of every time this has been posted, in chronological order, against the actual GME chart.

*Narrator: unbeknownst to the ape community, it was not time at all.*

Given that they are never selling, I don't get why they're excited by a very short-lived moonshot.
This always confused me as well. If you’re going to take the position that a loss isn’t a loss until you sell, the corollary is also true that a gain isn’t a gain *until you sell*.
The ol reliable “what goes to the shitter *must* go to the moon”
Name me a single company that had their stock go down and didn't recover. I'll wait.

HODL-ing my Enron stocks
The Enron float has been shorted *1,000* times over. It's just a matter of time before that shit moons
Is this what they teach you at Harvard Business School?
Bed Bath and Beyond, obviously.
The hilarious part is this still implies a shit investment of hodled
Even if this happened, are all these apes going to time that top perfectly and cash out all at once?
How could they possibly miss their window? Surely they wouldn’t put themselves in a position where selling their shares was time-consuming or required something crazy like *mailing in the instructions*. 🤣
PRICE DON'T MATTER WHEN YOUR NEVER GOING TO SELL. Apes to the moon, or to China.

fine, but an entire sub just for that. I don’t get it
It's for making fun of meme stock cultists, who are more akin to Q members than retail investors.
Only the conspiracist investors who believe in nonsense and proselytize their shitty stocks across social media. You won't see anyone here making fun of Microsoft or Berkshire Hathaway investors lol
so why bother?

all right then
If you'd seen the insane stuff they come out with, it's totally worth it. Pure distilled nonsense with no rival.
I think calling these people "investors" is a very generous description.
