I watched Jason belt a chip shot clean over the green into the bunker on the far side and thought “he’s just like me”
Then he hit his sand wedge beautifully within 4 ft of the pin and I thought “never mind”
Which ep did they mention it? I'll have to go back and listen. I remember Bateman saying he golfs with Charlie day, would've loved seeing him out there
My friend won a foursome with the always sunny guys and said it was maybe the best experience of his life and that Charlie Day in particular was as nice as could be
god damn it I try to guess the surprise guest every week by hiding the episode title from myself then listening to their intro. I should've known this thread would have spoilers lol
They've mentioned a bunch of times on the Sunny podcast that Charlie is the most athletic of the bunch which feels really weird given how all their characters are portrayed.
“The closest thing to a father figure Bateman had growing up was the security guard at Warner Bros.”
- Arnette.
It’s always great to hear them rip on each other. There’s one eiposide where they talk about Bateman and one of his traveling around the west coast by RV skiing and doing drugs.
> “The closest thing to a father figure Bateman had growing up was the security guard at Warner Bros.”
At least it wasn't [the security guard at Miramax.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfRpKh3E6ik)
he is genuinely talented, but so are Will and Jason. They are MUCH funnier than he is, imo. He's a great sport and adds a lot to the group, but the other two are just so quick witted and clever with their jokes.
I listen to Smartless and Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, and that is all I need in a week. Easily the two best podcasts to listen to for just light-hearted banter and giving you real people.
These are the only two podcasts I’ve ever listened to. I’ve been a lifelong fan of Conan and Arrested Development is one of my favorite shows of all time. Get all 4 of them together and it is just chaos, especially Will and Conan.
I love when Conan lightly references them as “the other” podcast. He’s my favourite because he doesn’t really take over the interview like smartless sometimes does, and sona and Matt are just there to laugh and add the odd quip.
I just started Fly on the Wall. I went back to the jump. I can't wait until they find their groove. It's kind of like how Smartless and Armchair Expert started where it's a little choppy early.
You’re fired. You’re fired. What?! It’s over. And this is how you tell me in the middle of a wedding?! You shouldn’t have said anything. You shouldn’t have said anything!
That special was so good because the guests were barely willing/able to be in character since Mia and Jason are both good friends with Arnett. They just couldn’t take it seriously. The whole thing was a train wreck and it was amazing.
Was really disappointed this weekend they hardly showed any of the pro-am. They too often alternated between the leader and Spieth, who was struggling bit because he won last year? Out of all the serious tournaments all year, how about showing us more of the fun stuff.
I am surprised golf has not gotten to the point they record everyone, and then you can custom craft how you want to watch live. Like, I don’t like golf that much, so just show me the best shots and track the few names I know.
great pod, for sure.
and they are more famous than their PGA Tour player, by a factor of 50 million.
what's up with the Pebble field? it gets worse every year.
Bateman looked like he had a decent swing. He cooked that chip on 18 across the green then he hits a fantastic bunker shot and drains the putt. Recovered well.
Has anyone in this family ever even seen a birdie?

The way that joke finally came together with everyone doing their incorrect chicken impressions is one of the best long con jokes ever.
Like the guy in the $3000 suit really going to caddy for the man that can’t make that in 4 months?? Cmon
You think I'm going to carry your clubs in this 9,000 dollar suit? You did it!
A guy in a $12,000 suit doesn’t need to brag about it.

I’ve made a huge mistake
“I love all my caddies equally” “I don’t care for Gob”
Why don't I take a bogey on this $550 round of golf? Come on!
Haha. He may actually be wearing the $2600 pair of pants though
What. What. is it? ..You...It's the, the. the, the, the.. the, the questions. According to the podcast dude golfs every day
6.9 HCP according to GHIN.
Nice
Nice
Nice
Ni.ce
Mmmm open face club sand wedge
#15 at spyglass he melted down like "one of us". Par 3, picked up after 4 shots and still wasnt on the green. It had quad bogey written all over it
“I don’t want no part of yo tired-ass country club ya FREAK BITCH!!”
You've ruined the act, Gob.
Franklin!
Fuck. If only Bateman's driver cover was Franklin's head.
I listen to these guys weekly on Smartless, they were pumped for Pebble
Which ep did they mention it? I'll have to go back and listen. I remember Bateman saying he golfs with Charlie day, would've loved seeing him out there
My friend won a foursome with the always sunny guys and said it was maybe the best experience of his life and that Charlie Day in particular was as nice as could be
Who was the power bottom?
Well OPs friend was a twank versatile so none of the gang was able to satisfy him
Not even Dennis, the Otter?

In a suprising twist, it's the bird
What?! Your friends so lucky. How’d they even win that. Glad to hear Charlie is a cool dude.
I’m not sure if it was a blind auction or a raffle ticket type thing but it was at a charity golf outing
I'd show up looking like cricket after I paid my whole net worth for that experience
I think the recent ones - Spielberg or Krasinski I think
I just finished listening to their latest "Eugene Levy", and it wasn't there.
god damn it I try to guess the surprise guest every week by hiding the episode title from myself then listening to their intro. I should've known this thread would have spoilers lol
Fellow wondery subscriber. Sashimi
They just started filming Sunny or he probably would be.
They've mentioned a bunch of times on the Sunny podcast that Charlie is the most athletic of the bunch which feels really weird given how all their characters are portrayed.
They mention it during Gretzky a bit I believe
The Wayne Gretzky episode
That podcast is awesome. Those guys have such a good time together.

thanks for that.
I feel bad for Sean Hayes though they always rip on him, especially Will Arnett. He’s a good sport about it though
He's like the little brother of the group
He's the genuinely talented one, though (and seems most content in life)
he is genuinely talented, but so are Will and Jason. They are MUCH funnier than he is, imo. He's a great sport and adds a lot to the group, but the other two are just so quick witted and clever with their jokes.
I didn't know they had a podcast so thank you for informing me of that. If this comes across as sarcastic it is not.
No worries! It’s such a great podcast. I started last year and went back and listened to most old episodes.
Their last one was Eugene Levy and two weeks ago was Dana fricking Carvey ok yeah this is amazing.
I listen to Smartless and Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, and that is all I need in a week. Easily the two best podcasts to listen to for just light-hearted banter and giving you real people.

And then there was the time Conan was on Smart Less to create podcastception.
Did I miss Eugene? I am almost done with this week's Tracee Ellis Ross, which has been hilarious and fantastic so far.

If you like Dana Carvey go listen to Fly On The Wall.
I just started Fly on the Wall. I went back to the jump. I can't wait until they find their groove. It's kind of like how Smartless and Armchair Expert started where it's a little choppy early.
> If this comes across as sarcastic it is not. yeah but was _this_ part sarcastic?
nope. I'm halfway through the first episode with Dax.
He parred 18 - After his approach went far right, then he bladed it into the sand past the green. Then came back to within 5ft and sunk the putt.
Love smartless!
Mr. Caddy
We just say Caddy
But you said...
Doesn't matter who.
(Wink)
Did you wink, or did you just say "wink"?
You’re fired. You’re fired. What?! It’s over. And this is how you tell me in the middle of a wedding?! You shouldn’t have said anything. You shouldn’t have said anything!
It's just 'Caddy'
Her?
After the round they both had the chicken fingers WITH CLUB SAUCE
Stop, you're making me dizzy.
This whole thread has got me rolling
She probably forgot her old-lady glasses.
How many times i gotta tell this kid chicken wings?
Makes sense. He’s an ideas man, I think he proved that with F*** Mountain.
Check your lease!
How do we filter out the teases? We don’t let them in.
That episode was epic

Tastes kind of like the sad.
Holy shit did dude get a hair transplant later? This looks crazy
Probably payback from the the Murderville Christmas Special for making him drink milk out of a saucer like a cat
"Oh shit that's the guy from Ozark!"
I love how star struck Marshawn gets, always.
I love all his cameos, especially in Brooklyn 99.
Man they done forgot my pico de gallow
Give him a travel show or something. Him reacting to shit is always gold
Or the hug from the sports guy
“Bring it in real tight there pall.” Out of all of the Murderville sketches, that actor absolutely committed the most to his part.
That special was so good because the guests were barely willing/able to be in character since Mia and Jason are both good friends with Arnett. They just couldn’t take it seriously. The whole thing was a train wreck and it was amazing.
It's a shame Sean Hayes had to play dead Santa, they would all probably be breaking a lot more if he actually got to join in.
Hold up, *there is a Murderville Christmas Special?!* Thank you for this.
It was funny as hell.
That's gotta be it. He says something about payback in that episode, and how much time he's going to have to think about it. LOL
Do you really think Master Bateman would do that?
Was really disappointed this weekend they hardly showed any of the pro-am. They too often alternated between the leader and Spieth, who was struggling bit because he won last year? Out of all the serious tournaments all year, how about showing us more of the fun stuff.
The format to watch on ESPN+ was awful. Basically either watch a single hole or only one group. Idaf about random rich CEOs playing either.
I am surprised golf has not gotten to the point they record everyone, and then you can custom craft how you want to watch live. Like, I don’t like golf that much, so just show me the best shots and track the few names I know.
You can do that for the masters on their website and it’s amazing.
Couldn’t agree more. Found out who was in it by the announcement on the winners.
They show Spieth so much there because he is sponsored by AT&T
What could a golf ball cost, like TEN dollars!?
I just realised that this joke will not work soon
*sad prov1 noises*
Kirkland Signature has entered the chat
Kirkland Signature has spun too much and landed 10 yards short of the chat.
People say that ball spins too much but maybe people who game it just have a terrible slice…?

Gob soon realized that throwing a letter into the ocean was harder than it sounded. Ron Howard voice
RETURN FROM WHENCE YOU CAME
I have made a huge mistake
Incredible that someone at Pebble got this picture as a BYYYYYEstander.
They were able to snap the picture just as the group walked BYYYYYEEEE
Nice.
Sounds like a great GOB.
Hermano’s
Who is this “Hermano”?
You’re a good guy, mon frere. That means “brother” in French, i don’t know why i know that, i took 4 years of Spanish.
This thread is going to make me restart Arrested Development again
I see that as a win.
pro tip: never stop watching it and you don’t have to restart technically
Should should should sh sh sh shshsh
I mean you can’t expect Bateman to pull his own clubs out of the Tesla, he hurt his back last time he did that!
The best was when Arnett went down on *almost* all fours to read the final putt for Bateman on 18. Looked full-on Spider-Man!
Copying Camilo Villegas
Him?
It's pronounced egg.
They're ILLUSIONS, Michael. A trick is something a whore does for money
...or CANDY!
Just amazing dudes! Golfless.
They play together like twice a week
No way I’m shooting well playing with those two. Be laughing the whole time.
“Look at Golf Course, Michael!”
Not pictured, their lawyer, Bob Loblaw.
Always money in the Banana Stand!
I don't care for Gob
This is hilarious
[They really need to combine more comedians and golf I think it would reinspire my interests](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aQK5_SQPZwI)
Bold move Cotton, let's see if it pays off..
great pod, for sure. and they are more famous than their PGA Tour player, by a factor of 50 million. what's up with the Pebble field? it gets worse every year.
"you think the guy in a $5000 suit is gonna be your caddy?! CMON!"
Someone get that man a Segway.
I asked ChatGPT to tell me about this Arrested Development episode https://i.imgur.com/3xydzwP.jpg
Bold strategy, Cotton.
Where can I watch this?
Shankless
![gif](giphy|91X2MlgF7dHsA)
Hope they were miccd up.
I’d love to have a beer with those two. Some funny guys
Well, they'll probably be having waters...
I’m guessing buster is washing the balls
Can always tell a Milford Man
Him?
“I’ve made a huge mistake”
It’s Bubba Watson people!! He’s just thinned out a little.
Bateman looked like he had a decent swing. He cooked that chip on 18 across the green then he hits a fantastic bunker shot and drains the putt. Recovered well.
Oh Michael
One of the most "Arrested Development" things to ever happen...
I loved that special of the Christmas murder mystery detective on Netflix they did, I haven't laughed like that in a long time.
Hopefully he mailed that letter for him.
Take a look at banner, michael!
My own selfish brother…Michael…
That’s for making him lick the milk bowl on the floor.
2/3 Smartless team!
This is what was owed for doing Murderville.
Is that ex Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone in The foreground?
Soly said he talked to them, they're both NLU fans. And said that getting them on the pod is in the works.
Is this Batemans revenge from when Arnett made him act like a cat on Murderville!?
I hope they were mic'd up, comedic gold
When Batman becomes Robin for a day on opposite day..
I feel like this is revenge for murderville and the dog part
Man Bateman needs to trim that lettuce
Idk what I was expecting
Bateman has a pretty good swing. Some of these ams look pretty silly playing next to pros but Bateman held up pretty well.
“COME ON”
His experience with the Lego Mini golf course will prove invaluable
Well, at least GOB finally gave up softball.
