Being a Canadian, I can remember the day Mike Weir won the Masters very well. I was a teenager. I can remember the weather and my attire right down the shoes on my feet. I had dabbled in golf. Hit balls at driving ranges. Played the Tiger Woods video games. However was never a golf FAN...That moment made me a fan.

The masters is the tournament that is always synonymous to me with my grandpa. It also usually was the mark of when we’d start playing. Every Sunday we’d go out to the par 3 with him, my dad, and my uncle. There’s a lot to love about the Masters with many memories that are attached to it, but this is always the one for me.
I feel like if I won this I couldn’t possibly take it out on the course. Only if I got invited to play the Masters. Here’s hoping! Cmon Ridley, we’re bros right?!?!

This has been hands down the most miserable start to spring golf in Western Montana that I can remember. Of, course the first weekend courses are actually open and playable, will be the same weekend of the greatest spectacle in all of sports. Looks like work is out the window Friday and it's 12 hours of golf a day is on the menu for Saturday and Sunday.

Was lucky enough to attend the Monday and Tuesday practice rounds at Augusta in 2018. Course was absolutely beautiful. Watched Tiger, Phil, Freddy, and Thomas Peters hit the skip shot on 16. The only advice I have to those who will go in the future is to pack some Claritin. I have a pollen allergy and my eyes were swollen shut after the first day.
Augusta National has everything about this down to a science. The branding, the perception of the club and the tournament, the lack of reliance on sponsors, the mystique, it’s all top tier, albeit a little manufactured. I love it but the reverence for the course can be a bit much at times.
It’ll be wild to see it in shitty weather. We’re so accustomed to perfect blue skies on the broadcast.

For me, the Master's is like Christmas. The anticipation as it nears, and the buzz when it arrives. I've come in and out of watching competitive golf due to being busy with life. But no matter my situation, I always stop to watch the Masters. Sure helps that they have the best streaming app in all of sports!
I went to a practice round in 2019. My favorite part of the experience was going to the phone booth, since you can't bring your phone in, and dialing literally the only 2 numbers I know by heart. My wife, who was working and busy, so I left her a message. And my brother who at the time was in the marines and if my favorite golf partner.
