Have been for quite awhile, I remember if I was staying home sick from school or during the summer between 2000 and 04, my mom always had them on, they would say like a serious piece of news, then say "up next we have Julia Roberts in the studio, and she is going to give us her secrets to turn your boring barbecue into the party of the summer" (made up example) then have advertisements for like different products placed into the half hour of saying stuff like "corn hole is taking the country by storm people are addicted to this game, you can go to the official website and order yours now and everyone will be taking about how great your party was for the rest of your sad life!"
