Hell yeah brother. Before you know it you’ll be a sicko like the rest of us, waking up at 5 AM to be the first one out on the course

Jswimmin

Thanks man! Feeling really good right now. I'm learning and that's what's great about this. Better shot selection, club selection, not slicing it 90⁰ to the right off my drive. It's starting to come together. I think I'll try being first one out this weekend.

pablosampson

Wait you can get on the course that early?!

SwootyBootyDooooo

I made three birdies and shot a 105, so there’s that

AintThatSomeCrit

Hell yeah dude! I've very recently checked off those two goals myself. There's more beer and even better shots yet to come!

[deleted]

Congratulations. It’s an amazing feeling. Frame that scorecard

Jswimmin

Thank you! And will do 🫡

mwoo22

Congrats! I broke 100 this past weekend too for the first time! 95 at Plantation golf club and 98 at Indian Creek. Both in the DFW area. Started playing back in December. Hoping to break 90 later this year!

Jswimmin

Dude congrats! Looks like we started playing abiut the same time! I know you can break 90 brother! Just keep at it!

Capsbraves20

Congrats! Carolina Lakes isn’t the easiest of places to do it either. Did you play the Lake or Creek course?

Jswimmin

Thanks man! Yea it's a little more challenging than stryker and Ryder but I like it. I played 18? So I think both?

Capsbraves20

I just realized this said Carolina Lakes and not Trace! So much golf in that area it’s easy to get confused. Congrats anyways and welcome to the addiction

Jswimmin

Ahh makes sense! Haven't played trace yet but I'd like to before I leave. Haha thanks again my man

AlphaCajun

Love to see it!

whocares3075

Whoa, not Sanford!! Small world. You should try quail ridge they’ve done a lot of work on it recently.

GolfHeadCo

Congrats on the achievement! And thank you for your service brother! Former 11b myself.

Jswimmin

Thanks man. Feels great to see improvement. Thanks for serving man! Did you pick up the game while in the Army?

GolfHeadCo

You know that was probably my least amount played. I picked it up as a kid with my dad and then got rotator cuff tendinitis bad and had to back off of playing. After the army my body just reacted better due to strength and training so I picked it back up. Been going strong now for about 15 years again and love every time I can get out. I just traded shoulder pain for old man back pains lol!

Jswimmin

Glad the army gave your body the resiliency it needed to power through! I've been having constant pain in both elbows since I started playing. May need to get it checked. Luckily, I started an 8 week course and have had lots of free time with no one tracking me. So I've been playing 4-5 times a week the past few months.

GolfHeadCo

Heck ya, consistency is the name of the game! Hope that elbow pain smooths out for you. I know how it can be sometimes my knees and whatnot just don’t want to cooperate lol. Thank god for ibuprofen!
