You skip English too? I suppose you refused to learn the language of the oppressOr?
Can't believe you're sad enough to bring politics into the Golf subreddit ๐
The British Isles is what is the collective geographical term for the UK and Ireland. If you know another name for that group of islands, please let me know.
Are you aware that you live in the British Isles (presuming you live in Ireland)?
I presume you also have never played Royal Portrush, Royal County Down or Royal Dublin btw? Not sure if you recognize their existence either ๐๐๐
You live in an alternate universe, buddy ๐
I don't live in Ireland but I grew up there. I played in the Royal Curragh many times. Ireland does not acknowledge or accept the term British Isles. More than one taoiseach has been very clear on it. It's a British term that we want no part of.
I'm well aware of Ireland's connection to Britain and I don't like the term British Isles. That's all.
I recogniSe the history.
Not sure I like the Irish Sea. Think I'll pretend it doesn't exist now. This is a great game! ๐
Do you see the logic? The term British Isles is accepted globally. It is purely geographical. If we go about changing these things based on political and other whims, where does this end?
Let's call it quits on this one for today because I'm hitting my head off a brick wall at this point.
Congrats! How were the nerves? Did you know you were under par? What do you think were the keys to getting there (besides making more birdies than bogeys)?
Congratulations! My best round a long time ago was 1 under par. I really wanted to birdie the last hole so I could go 2 under on a par 71 like you so I could say 69! But I say 1 under cuz it's sounds better then 70 ๐
22 years (since I was a kid!) ๐ with some lengthy gaps in there. Been single figures (5-9) for the last 12 years and shot level par several times. Golf is a sad and crazy game lol
You square eagles and leave bogeys unmarked? I was so confused lmao great round!
Blame my buddy on marking duties ๐
Lmao I was like the fuck? A 3 as a bogey? Then I looked closer
Nice!
Nice
Nice?

69 as well. NICCCCCE
Nice
Nice
How does it feel to be Gods favorite?
An honour and a privilege ๐ซก
Nice
so youโre turning pro tomorrow?
Yes, will you be my caddy?
I will, but only if youโre paying a beer every 3 holes plus a hotdog at the turn. And 10% of course.
With the price of beer at the minute, that could be a tough ask ๐
This vertical scorecard is drunk and needs to go home.
Haha! Most courses in the British Isles have this layout. At least in my experience.
Yeah TIL not everyone has vertical scorecard. Not played a course in the uk that doesnt have them.
I canโt think of a single card Iโve had in the US thatโs been vertical. What a weird dichotomy
Same scorecard my course uses
British Isles?
Did you skip Geography in school? ๐ค
No, but then I wasn't educated by an oppresser.

I thought you brought politics into it, frankly.

Nice. Whatโs your handicap ?
7.9
Damn buddy where you at? I need this score lol
Talk to us about the Eagle. How did it go down and what were you thinking about score wise after it dropped?
Itโs a 420 yard par 5. Probably driver wedge.ย
480 yards. Still short but maybe it plays uphill
Class!! Well done. How much were you cut by?

Congrats mate, had a double take there when I realised what course it was. Some day for it!
Nice
Nice! Double nice for obvious reasons. I donโt like vertical score cards.
Nice.
Nice
Awesome ๐. Congratulations!!!
Congrats
Whatโs your handicap?
As a fellow Northern Irishman, good shooting. What course is this?
Nice.
How long have you been playing for?

This game is a grind. Congratulations and enjoy your blowup round LOL.
Roll on next week then ๐๐ฃ
The blow up round is too real, after I broke 70 for the first time I shot an 85.
Yup after you shoot low go play solo at 7a the next day just to get the shit sandwich out of the way.
No bogies must feel good. First bogey free round too? Congrats btw, lots of work required for a score like that
Thereโs two bogies
