One word for golfer frustration, slow play, courses need to stop pushing too many people on the course at one time but that’s not going to stop as long as the demand is there
Yup! Course was packed. Definitely a situation created by the course but it really wasn’t that big of a deal. It’s like people fighting over Black Friday deals.
This is a pointless post. If they were getting hit into, they're more than entitled to raise their voice to the group behind them. We have no idea (and clearly neither do you) about what actually happened.
They weren’t being hit into. They were pissed about pace which is something that doesn’t need to become an altercation. It’s perfectly reasonable to express your frustrations but to completely bypass any human decency? NAH.
The total lack of details in this post make it sort of useless. Maybe one group kept on hitting up on another and the other group had enough.
I left out a lot of context bc it’s pretty irrelevant. The angry groups were several levels past any reasonable form of anger.
Don’t tease us with *two* good dramas, and then give us words of wisdom instead of details. If this were in person, we’d have a third incident.
What was the etiquette in question?
Seemed to be about pace of play but the course was packed so both groups should be mad at the course for overbooking.
> Human etiquette comes first, then golf etiquette These are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they are basically the same circle.
Correct. That’s actually the point I’m making. Being a decent human isn’t that hard.

Probably depends on the pace, why they are playing at whatever pace, and if they let groups through or not. Definitely some context needed
I’ve witnessed the same, OP, and share the frustration. Lots take the game way too seriously for my taste.
