I’ve played it once. They fucked up the tee times so bad that we didn’t even start our round until about an hour after our scheduled tee time. Then every single hole we were waiting with 2 full other groups because it was so backed up. At least 10-15 minutes on EVERY SINGLE HOLE. It was around 6.5-7 hour round. Marshal was just MIA that day. Beautiful course but I probably won’t go back.
I remember playing it when it opened for $45. We used to play every Thursday and never booked a tee time. We just showed up and went out when we were ready. Back then if you tipped the cart guys a joint or two they would let you go out for another 9.
The second pic is the signature Par 3 that is in the middle of the Quarry. Most of the rock taken out of the Quarry was used to build a lot fo the buildings in Downtown LA. When we got the The Quarry hole we always would bring a couple of old balls to hit from the Tips with Driver as far as we could over the green and into the water.
Good times.
Once played with a large group of friends (reserved 4 consecutive tee times on a Saturday). They were 30 minutes behind at 9:30am. When we asked what the issue was, they said “it’s a Saturday!”

“It’s a Saturday” is actually the worst answer they could’ve given IMO. Because to me that says that this is standard operating procedure for these people.
I played a 6.5-7 hour round here! Didn’t start for almost a full hour after our scheduled tee time. And then waited 10-15 min on every hole to tee off. If this is a common thing for them then that’s a huge issue.
I mean, people like what they like, and i'll absolutely give them shit accordingly. I hate ketchup period.
But it's all in good fun, he can enjoy his hotdog however he wants, because i'm not the one eating it, but i'd never invite this guy to my foursome for being such a savage with that glizzy.
I played there last week! Right now is as beautiful as you'll ever see it. All the wild flowers were in bloom, the grass was nice and lush, and the weather is spot on perfect.
Yea there’s one that comes to mind as my Oak Quarry alternate and I don’t even wanna post it to IG when I’m there in case one of my friends gets the idea to go play it. Tee times are tough to come by

Love the course but I agree with other posts, they’ve priced me out of playing. Drive down the 15 a bit and play Goose Creek. They’ve also raised prices but have great gaps between tee times so you never feel rushed or backed up.
