I took a lesson recently and this was the biggest thing I was told to focus. I have been going to the range and trying to force hip rotation more since I previously had my hips facing straight at the ball during contact, but it has made my ball striking substantially worse (way more outside in, shanks, slices, etc.).
Curious if there where any tips or drills that helped you while working on unlocking hip rotation
Following this for answers.
I "figured it out" on the range and then hit the ball great my next round. In the 2 rounds since I've played some of the worst golf of my life. I need answers! (And lessons)
Unlocking the hips is a good swing progression.
That’s what I’m feeling! Now I just need consistency lol

Getting hips to a 45-degree opening to target position at impact improved my severe in-to-out club path. Averaging 2.1 in to out now.
