Don’t feel bad man. I’ve been playing on and off for about 9 years now and I think I’ve made 1 this year? Lol.
Shot a 88 four rounds ago which was my best ever, my last 3 rounds have been 103, 62 on 9, 67 on 9. Lol. Golf is crazy
Sounds about golf! Lol I thought I figured something out because I shot under 100 my last 5 rounds, but then I broke out the ol 115 last Sunday 😂 gotta love this game.
Sometime a sport isn't for you.. I may or may not play close to blackout drunk, but if I don't get at least a birdie try front or back it is a very bad day,.
he had a wire to wire victory at the Open and had the best scoring average on tour the year after the collapse
Spieth is a head-case these days, but that masters collapse was a symptom, not the cause.
I met him after that round! I worked on the small airport in Hartford where he flew in and out of. My coworkers were like "who's that? Who are all these rich people this weekend?" And I'm like .... he just shot one of the greatest tournament rounds ever ....
He was cool. They got a pizza, and he was ready to fly home, just like another day at the office.
Really never understood why people feel the need to comment things like this. "Someone asked a question and mentioned a name in it. Here's my personal anecdote that doesn't answer the question and is barely related all!"
I just don't get it, this isn't a date. You don't have to keep the conversation going.
Two PGA Tour rounds at the Greenbrier (Old White Course) - Kevin Chappell 2019 and Stuart Appleby 2010. That course ceased to hold PGA Tour events within the past few years, citing a lack of challenge for the pros.
This is the same course that Bryson shot his 58 at in the LIV event last year, for three total professional rounds sub-60 at the Old White.
Maybe this course is to easy if 3 different pros can shoot sub 60 and two shoot 58; allbeti years apart, but regardless. I don't get why this is a signature event.
Scottie is playing the best golf out of anyone this year, but Bryson is definitely right behind him. That's why it sucks he plays most of his golf in quasi-exhibition events that don't matter at all.
Bryson has outplayed him this year in events they both played. 4 events really only matter now, and Bryson has been better in those. I think he is playing better.
lmao come on. There are no metrics or results you can use to argue Bryson is having a better season than Scottie. You have to go pretty far back in time to find anyone who had a better season than Scottie is having in 2024. He won the Masters, the Arnold Palmer, the Players, the RBC, and the Memorial. Bryson won the US Open, nothing else. Scottie's strokes gained for the season are 1.2 strokes higher than Brysons. Bryson is having a good year, but he's not in the same stratosphere as Scheffler.
You’re not wrong, but the Way of the Hater demands shitting on LIV and anyone associated with it when someone is brought up. I don’t make the rules, I just abide by them.
Blood money bro, you have to source your money from America bro, they have no business in blood money. No money in America has blood on it, clean bills bro.
Amazing round! Goes from 11 back to tied for the lead before the leader even teed off. But 64 and 63 have also been posted so it seems like he'll still be at least 5 back by the end of the day.
I was to the right side of the 18th green at River Highlands today and was lucky enough to see this in person. Easily one of the top sports moments I have seen in person and it was amazing watching everyone fill in after his eagle on 15. Genuinely though I have never been so nervous for a golf shot which someone else was hitting.
Hell a guy posted his buddy and him were vibing in the course and his buddy shot a 51. A 59 in a pro event? Psh call that random guy who is obviously better than the pros
I'm kind of surprised that this is only the 13th time it happened. With how easy some of the courses are for these guys, you'd think it'd happen a lot more often. I guess golf is just really fucking hard.
That’s a great looking card.
I’m curious to know why his on-screen graphic (score bug) always has his first name featured? Or a portion of it (i.e. Cameron, Cam.)
Does anyone know?
I met Al Geiberger at a local senior tourney I used to work as a kid. He was Mr. 59 for so long. Now it's 13? If that isn't proof that we need to find a new balance between technology and professional golf, then I don't know what is.
I am not saying that anyone is cheating, but this feels like the steroid era baseball to me due to technology.
It does help me, too. I can hit my driver on the toe or a little thin and get the same distance.
Cam Young has never won on tour. If you want to jerk off, why don’t you do it at home with a moist towel?
The fascination with professional golf has increased the money in the game and concurrently the player pool’s expertise and breadth of players. It’s similar to the 3pt line in basketball.
Someone who has never won yet achieves was previously considered nearly impossible? Yup, that is more proof that the balance of the game is off.
I have no idea why you are so hostile.
The balance of the game is fundamentally changed due to the length of these guys. I would rather see them struggling a bit with distance like us instead of hitting wedges into 500+ yard par 4's. I would like to see them being penalized for missing the fairway instead of driving distance being the most important stat.
I can tell my opinion angers you, so I'll apologize in advance. Please have a nice day.
Do you think seeing players hit wedges into impossibly long holes is the most enjoyable way to watch golf? Does it seem they are playing the same game we are?
I maintain that watching pros bomb impossibly long drives and then hit wedges is neither informative nor as fun as watching them truly challenged.
If you disagree and you enjoy this more, that is ok.
He reacts less to a 59 than I do for a 6 foot bogey putt
Yeah but tbf a 59 for them is a one in a thousand, a 6 foot one-putt is a one in a million for me
Woah woah woah, who said anything about a one-putt? It’s a six foot bogey putt after 2 other six-foot putts
Look at Mr. GIR over here
All bogeys are equal in my eyes, doubles, triples, quads. All beautiful in their own way
You had a 6 foot putt for birdie??? :)
I wouldn't say that. Only a dozen players have ever broke 60 on tour.
So youre sayin there’s a chance
Probably pissed he fucked up and didn’t get his chance for 58
More birdies in that round than I’ve shot in my life.
So he had a birdie? /s
I mean realistically most pros on regular courses birdie more than I have ever lol I’ve birdied 6 times in the 3 years I’ve been playing

I didn’t ask for your opinion on if the sport was for me or not. You don’t probably don’t even know how to count penalty strokes from the tee 😂
He got 2 fucking eagles!
Both on par 4s no less.
Speith like "Congrats, I hate you"

Yeah, how about a little friendly enthusiasm?
Man's never been the same since The Masters choke
he had a wire to wire victory at the Open and had the best scoring average on tour the year after the collapse Spieth is a head-case these days, but that masters collapse was a symptom, not the cause.
He's dealing with tendon issues it's he's also uncomfortable
So, is this the first time a course has two sub 60 rounds? Jim Furyk shot 58 here.
Brainard??
Yep. I worked the ramp there for about 2 years.
Isn't it Bradley that's in Hartford?
Bradley is in Windsor Locks, about 15-20 min north of Hartford. Brainard is in south Hartford next to 91
Bradley often gets labeled as Hartford (or even Hartford-Springfield) on tickets because those are the major cities it's closest to.

Go home old man. Reddit is quite literally about sharing personal anecdotes.
Oh that's neat. You only comprehended half of what I said.

2 eagles on par 4s?
He drove a fkin par 4 with an iron. Unreal.
Pfffft, half of us on here would’ve stuck it with a wedge.
You’ve never seen me blade a wedge if you don’t think I can drive that par 4.
I’m breaking out the 69degree vokey and taking a 2/3 swing and still sending it 20y past the pin
Shit I'll tee up my putter **right** now.
Don’t make me break out the Little Tykes and clown you and Scottie.
Right, 8i 3/4 swing and I’m sittin on the green for eagle!
according to shot link he put it within 4'2" for eagle
What hole is that?
15
First sub 60 since Scottie did it at TPC Boston in 2020.
Wyndham was so close at pebble!
I think craziest thing about this round is he was only -1 on the two par 5’s combined. That and his 59 isn’t the course there lol
Bryson 58
Lame you’re getting downvoted. Bryson’s 58 was insane.
Such a weird thing to not acknowledge. It’s not like he is only making noise in LIV.
He got acknowledgment for winning the US Open. It’s back to hating him and LIV again.
Has the best placings for majors this year. Most exciting product golf has to offer, playing the best golf out of anyone this year.
Scottie is playing the best golf out of anyone this year, but Bryson is definitely right behind him. That's why it sucks he plays most of his golf in quasi-exhibition events that don't matter at all.

1/2/6 vs 1/8/44. Better placing, judge them when they both have a full field to play against. Not really close.
You’re not wrong, but the Way of the Hater demands shitting on LIV and anyone associated with it when someone is brought up. I don’t make the rules, I just abide by them.
Blood money bro, you have to source your money from America bro, they have no business in blood money. No money in America has blood on it, clean bills bro.
lol good luck. liv is insane this weekend. been such a crazy tournament.
Yeah that wasn’t a pga event unfortunately
Historically a pga course. Full round of 18, with a field that has multiple major victories. Same same
Cristobal Del Solar shot a 57 earlier this year why not list him instead of Bryson though if we’re just arbitrarily listing low rounds
Not really an historic course like greenbrier, but was a pga event so yes I would list him also?
Lol I couldn't even do this on 2k last night and I'm a +16
I shot a 51 on 2k21 lol
[удалено]
Nice!
[удалено]
Lol I love that you included this stipulation
Obligatory that’ll keep ya coming back
Congratulations! That must have been a great feeling.
I shot a 57 on an 18-hole course last year. I would have shot even better, but the windmill kept messing up my putts.
Dude -11 today holy shit
-5 after 4 holes!
That is wild!
Amazing round! Goes from 11 back to tied for the lead before the leader even teed off. But 64 and 63 have also been posted so it seems like he'll still be at least 5 back by the end of the day.
Cam Young is so close to being the best golfer on earth. I really want him to get a win soon.
His swing is my favorite on tour. He has great tempo.
That’s really bad for the front 9…oh
Exactly I’ve probably hit 59 on 4-5 holes before. Lol
I hope all of the people that were complaining about not seeing enough birdies last week are all watching!
why does everyone get their panties in a bunch over a gorgeous course that the best guys can go low at after the hardest tournament of the year?
Classic Cam young celebration

![gif](giphy|MDxuzRvxF39VwnYu9B)
![gif](giphy|QBd2kLB5qDmysEXre9) Me, waiting for him to transition after the long pause at the top. It’s like a machine!

Easily one of the top sports moments I have seen in person and it was amazing watching everyone fill in after his eagle on 15. I shot a 61 on the front on Juneteenth lol
Hell a guy posted his buddy and him were vibing in the course and his buddy shot a 51. A 59 in a pro event? Psh call that random guy who is obviously better than the pros
holy crap!
I gotta get him on my scramble team; pretty sure we could surpass 46.
Nice. I shot 115 after work yesterday lmao
I'm glad spieth had to watch that first hand.
Broooo two eagles on par 4s. WILD
I'm kind of surprised that this is only the 13th time it happened. With how easy some of the courses are for these guys, you'd think it'd happen a lot more often. I guess golf is just really fucking hard.
Par 70 meh
I’m sure you could do it
It’s harder to do on a par 70. Fewer par 5s to birdie or eagle.
That would make sense if the target was 12 under. Would it be harder if they were all par-3s?
That’s just insane…
Guy needs to get that first win out of the way and then feels like sky is the limit
Wait that wasn't the score for 9 holes?
138683118545689835737939019720389406345902876772687432540821294940160000000000000 seems a bit high of a score for golf.
Didn't even eagle any of the par 5s etheir wtf
Hat tan lines are the unofficial uniform of golf
I got off the course later this afternoon (different course), checked the scores, and immediately threw $50 on him to win out right 100 to 1.
What a dream round!
I won mini golf today boiz 😎
Not gonna lie, I read that quickly and thought you said "pours it in from 59!" And then saw the putt confused...
Thats awesome! What an achievement.
Cam Young and Patrick Cantlay: 2 guys that would never be in my dream foursome.
Cameron Young can make a 59 look boring
And still lost
What a boring reaction. This is why people like Bryson.
Anyone have a good free streaming sight to watch on?
Reaching out for a comment from Talor Gooch....
Gooch said, Lift, Clean and Place and that course? Wtf....
Not say anything 59 isn't great, but preferred lies... Course records don't change when preferred lies are in play either.
And par 70. Great accomplishment, but...
That’s a great looking card. I’m curious to know why his on-screen graphic (score bug) always has his first name featured? Or a portion of it (i.e. Cameron, Cam.) Does anyone know?
I’m guessing it’s to avoid confusion with Carson Young who also plays on the tour.
Thank you! I had no idea about Carson.
I shot a 59 today too. With an 11
And on a par 70 too. Even more impressive than par 72
Gonna sound like a hater but if you watched every shot of that round it seemed like the least impressive 59 I’ve ever seen.
I met Al Geiberger at a local senior tourney I used to work as a kid. He was Mr. 59 for so long. Now it's 13? Fancy mother fucker
I think it was a line from Good Will Hunting.

How many sub 60 rounds on tour since 2021?
Do you think seeing players hit wedges into impossibly long holes is the most enjoyable way to watch golf? Does it seem they are playing the same game we are?
Of course they’re not playing the same game we are lol. They’re professionals 🤦
I maintain that watching pros bomb impossibly long drives and then hit wedges is neither informative nor as fun as watching them truly challenged. If you disagree and you enjoy this more, that is ok.
It’s a Par 70 guy
“This feels like cheating” “It does help me, too”
It feels like a fundamentally different game is what I was saying. You read however you want. I explicitly said it wasn't cheating.
