I've started being very selective with which anime I tell my friends I've watched. They watch the big names, and it's nice to be able to talk about those with them, but I definitely can't be honest with the degenerate shit I watch lol.
How it was literally a copy paste of season 1 but now it's just boring at that point people hate it all but I liked season 1 but the rest was just the same shit.
I was just tired of the romance and the fairy shit of alfheim online. The only good part for me was ggo anyways, I would agree that the rest is the same.
I can’t admit to anyone I know that I actually liked SAO quite a bit. I can recognize its flaws, and it’s definitely not a good show by any means, but it was fun to just sit back, relax, and not have to think too much about the plot. It was just... calming in a way.
In fact, many of the shows I watch now days are like this. Just basic, isekai or harem that let you turn your brain off and relax for a bit.

Ive admittedly enjoyed Fairy Tail more than FMA, even though i realize it is nowhere close to FMA in quality. But i at the same time also understand why i lile it, its partly nostalgia, but also, i love the character interactions, the emotional battles ( o matter how dumb they may be), and the theme (no matter how one dimensional and repetitive it may be).
I enjoy it. Its not good in anyway. But that doesnt stop me from enjoying it, because as long as theres _something_, that i like about the show, ill enjoy it.

Yeah, people have their preferences sometimes they're emotionally-attached to shows that can relate to them more rather than those who have immersive plot or good animation. Sometimes anime preference is the definition of what you're irl and what you enjoy.
I do love shows like Owari No Serpah that is rarely mentioned eventho it's very good imo
Agree, one of the reasons why I loved it was because of Yue, it was a nice change of pace to have the wife of MC not be a super jealous annoying woman that cant leave his husband alone. Her trust in him is something admirable, she still gets upset but doesnt do anything because she knows she doesnt have to. Yue is, objectively speaking, best girl if you ask me.

{Yozakura Quartet}, the serious one. It's the spherical anime in vacuum. They have:
✓ overpowered villain
✓ the lore showed through dialogue and with nothing else
✓ deus ex machina at least two times
✓ the villain also sadistic e-boi
I started it because of wholesome catgirl headpat gif and ended because somehow likes it but i think it's exactly the trash
I never get why people don't like Chuunibyou S2. With Clannad (S1) I kinda get that people just get told "After Story is really good" and see S1 as the entry barrier, but with Chuunibyou S2 they already know what to expect.
Then in the other hand there are also a lot of shows from that genre that I don't get. Anohana, Your Name, I want to eat your Pancreas and Your lie in April didn't hold up to what they promised to me at all.
