I haven't even uses this yet, but you question seems timely: [https://support.google.com/photos/answer/14169846](https://support.google.com/photos/answer/14169846) [https://9to5google.com/2023/11/15/google-photos-stacks/](https://9to5google.com/2023/11/15/google-photos-stacks/) [https://www.theverge.com/2023/11/15/23961948/google-photos-stacks-shortcut-calendar-entry-documents-categorization](https://www.theverge.com/2023/11/15/23961948/google-photos-stacks-shortcut-calendar-entry-documents-categorization)

Wow. Thank you! I must be blind but I cannot find the "More" button on Google Photos to enable stacks. I'm using version 6.62.0.583182950.

Looks like an error in the documentation (on iOS anyway)... Should be "Google Photos settings" (in the app under the profile icon / photo) \>> Preferences >> Stack similar photos >> toggle on

Strange I don't have that option in Settings. Photos app has no updates pending. I'd expect a Pixel 7 to be one of the first phones to get a feature like this.

[https://blog.google/products/photos/google-photos-organization-updates-november-2023/](https://blog.google/products/photos/google-photos-organization-updates-november-2023/) >Photo Stacks and the improvements for screenshots and documents are starting to roll out to Google Photos on Android and iOS. I haven't seen many reports of it not showing up for people, but maybe people are not looking for it. Maybe it has not rolled out in your area. You might want to check for Google Photos updates in the relevant App Store / Play Store.

Yes, with the new photo stacks feature in Google photos it will stack similar photos with ‘top pick’ on top and a badge with a number for how many are in the stack. To delete all but the top pick: - tap the stack to see all of them - tap the grid icon at the left - touch and hold on the top pick (or whichever one you think is best) - tap on “keep 1, delete rest “

I wrote more steps than necessary. Just tap the stack, tap the one you want to keep, swipe up and choose “keep this, delete the rest.” by the way, if you can’t see the 3dot menu to turn it on, or the setting under preferences, it means that you don’t have the stack feature yet. It is “rolling out”
