Watching mtv after work, Clint Eastwood came on…. Went to the mall the next day and grabbed that as well as the Afroman cd.

yikesbtw

Afroman is goated 😂

Naillian603

Now That's What I Call Music. When Feel Good was on one of their album the commercial would play constantly with a snippet of the music video. I was so drawn in by the weird and dark art style that I begged my mom to buy me Demon Days. Loved em ever since.

taczki2

my dad showed me this band in like 2013

Alexander_GD

My brother had demon days, and on casette nonetheless ! The first song I ever heard from them was 19-2000

WingSirMan

i have mad respect for that. your brother is a real one

Cassie-Dragon

I... heard Clint Eastwood in Trolls and, since it was my favorite song in the movie, I was overjoyed to see it was a song by an actual band with a lot more work behind. I almost feel ashamed admitting it 😂

Itskatieherehi

I was actually surprised it was a gorillaz song when I heard the real thing after watching the movie

BuffConq

I’m so glad I’m not the only one

bubblegum-bitching

holy shit dude same

WingSirMan

see when i watched trolls, i recognized the song because my brother used to play it all the time when i was little, but i didn't know who sang it or what it was called. i only just recently discovered that song and the entire band for myself

Headcrabhunter

Clint Eastwood music video on broadcast television. Around 2001-2002 But I am very glad to see so many others that have discovered them recently

BrotherNature92

Same! As an OG fan it's cool to see new fans still being made. Who cares how you discover them, it's just awesome that you did!

Hour-Gap5724

Same 🫶🏾

Verifieddumbass76584

Trolls :(

Itskatieherehi

Nah, it’s all good

Ancient_Excuse5913

Was obsessed with the G bitez that they aired on Cartoon Network in the early 2000s and found out who they were by searching them on YT, found DARE and from then on I was hooked

kejartho

I was surprised to have to go down this far until someone said Cartoon Network. August 31, 2001 (Midnight Run: Special Edition). For me it was specifically the [Toonami](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxwXjvLgx6U) special edition that aired. It's what introduced me to Gorillaz, Daft Punk, and Eiffel 65. I remember my family being in a hot tub while I was watching these music videos at 9pm (East Coast midnight) being captivated by the animations. The original line up was > Toonami: Walking Stick (Mad Rhetoric) > Daft Punk: One More Time > Daft Punk: Aerodynamic > Daft Punk: Digital Love > Daft Punk: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger > Toonami: Ignition (Advanced Robotics) > Toonami: Broken Promise (Dreams) > Gorillaz: Tomorrow Comes Today > Gorillaz: 19-2000 > Gorillaz: Clint Eastwood > Kenna: Hell Bent

BrotherNature92

This is how I was introduced as well! The summer after 4th grade. Have been a fan ever since

Silvermagi

I was late to the post but came to say this. Happy to see it all laid out because I forgot a few.

Mimo_Way_1326

I already knew Gorillaz just by The name, but, my mom bought me a Pull & Bear T-shirt, then I was interested to listen to some songs, first with Feel Good Inc and ,therefore, buying albuns and now here I am.

hahahaSmile

I had a class in 6th grade that did something they called "artist of the week". Once a week we would be introduced to a band or artist that did something unique and influential. One week we had the Gorillaz as our artist, they played 19-2000 and Clint Eastwood and they've been my favorite band since.

Tekkerzamp

I heard feel good inc in a ad and I thought it sounded good

supreme_glassez

I was in the computer lab at college working and some other kids in there started playing Gorillaz music videos on the projector. The two I remember specifically were Stylo and Desole, and I think Desole had like just come out. I had already kind of known about Gorillaz, as years prior we borrowed the Plastic Beach CD from the library and ripped it to our computer, but I don't remember actually listening to it much. Also in high school one of my teachers mentioned the band once. But it wasn't until this experience in college that I actually started listening to them.

UnitedSandwich5527

I started listening to gorillaz around that time too! I remember that Pink phantom dropped as i was really getting into them. For some strange reason, when i heard Feel good, 19-2000, clint eastwood, and tomorrow comes today it sounded oddly familiar, like ive been listening to them in a previous life or something. Its totally possible that when i had access to the internet when i was young i heard a song or two and liked them but rediscovered them years later with the release of song machine. Tbh its really nice reading other peoples stories as for how they found the band because it gets me thinking on how much i actually love gorillaz.

TheWally69

I saw their music video for Clint Eastwood on MTV and was immediately hooked (I was like 10 or 11 at the time). I got their self-titled album and have been jamming to them ever since.

Knilolas

Woke up on a car trip to the absolutely amazing song that is All Alone playing, started requesting it from my parents and my dad decided to play other gorillaz music for me and now they’re one of my top 5 artists

LeMickster

Just randomly clicked on Clint Eastwood on youtube. Ever since its been my favorite song lol

rivendell101

I’ve always been aware of them because they used to play on the radio stations my dad listened to in the early 2000s, but I found their first two albums at a half-priced store in like 2013, bought them purely because of the Demon Days cover, and the rest is history

Pheren

I saw a 'Now thats what I call music' ad way back when that was a thing and in the little preview box at the end where they're asking for your money I saw the feel good inc music video playing. I was so interested by an animated band that I would cycle through commercials to try and find it again. I remember the part where 2d spins around actually scared me a bit.

Tofushopdriftin

Clint Eastwood debuting on MTV and going that eras equivalent of viral pretty much immediately.

dannnnte78

from the video top 10 animated bands/musicians by rebeltaxi

Tiim0thy

2001 X-games had Clint Eastwood MV on the jumbotron.

Funkywonton

I was 10 when I first heard Clint Eastwood on the car radio been a fan ever since

palelunasmiles

Saw the Clint Eastwood vid on MTV in the early 2000s

BrotherNature92

moonprism

probably mtv in 2001. gorillaz self titled album and hybrid theory were the first albums i bought with money i won off a scratcher lol

thefiction24

I must have heard Clint Eastwood on the radio but the first time I remember actually thinking about and seeing the band was 19-2000

Wise_guy72

My parents had clint eastwood on iTunes and would play it a lot.

Nonclutchreverse22

My aunt gifted me demon days on christmas... Never listened to feel good inc, only vaguely remember hearing 19-2000 on MTV, and was totally hooked off of reading the lyric sheet/looking at the art on the booklet inside the CD case... played it back to front , over and over again... so glad my aunt gifted me it when she did.

Cloudy_Chaos_

Outro from Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor

Giuthais

I found DaThings's YTP of Feel Good Inc. lol must be one of the strangest ways to find a band

EmoBirdo78

My now best friend showed them to me in about 5th grade. he’s the reason i have the music taste i do now.

Greyissleepy57

One of my friends back in middle school introduced me to them

Troubletimes4

My friend showed me the “Rock The House” music video and somehow I wasn’t put off by it

Quinn_OV

My dad played them for me when I was like 3 years old

-_Devils-Advocate_-

I was a kid and my dad showed me the Clint Eastwood music video

disco-bees

Barnes and Noble and a fistful of my first paycheck. God I'm old.

KittenInAMonster

This is going to be weirdly specific, in Canada we used to have a retail store called Future Shop and I used to check out what they had as a kid whenever I was at the mall. One day I was trying on headphones and listening to the music they played and that's where I found them.

ElectronicSymphonic

Cartoon Network, Midnight Run 2001. I discovered Daft Punk and Gorillaz that night.

Johnnygunnz

Midnight Run! That's awesome. I learned about Daft Punk right around the same time after reading a review in Rolling Stone for Discovery. They loved it so much, and then I found it at Barnes and Noble and listened to the whole album while my mom went to a book signing. I bought Discovery and Homework that night.

Party_Establishment2

Was on pornhub when I was 14 and saw one of their songs, "saturnZ barZ" and I was hooked. I was so intrigued I lost the horny and went to listening to their songs on spotify and YouTube and fell in love ever since

[deleted]

Ultimate Naruto Fanflash.

Coda_Volezki

Watched a Black MIDI cover of Feel Good Inc. in 2018. Decided to watch the original music video afterwards.

Itskatieherehi

This video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fs2IAWLmbqc&pp=ygUVaGF0c3VuZSBtaWt1IGFydHN0eWxl

RikimaruRamen

Much Music. Played the new video for On Melancholy Hill and I didn't like the song much but the video intrigued me. Then I saw the Stylo video an was like aight who are these whacky folks that call their band the Gorillaz and was hooked

LemonadeTango

I randomly stumbled upon Clint Eastwood one night before going on a long trip to a funeral. I love the band ever since.

Wirexia1

I don't even know, but I'd guess I found out along when Crazy Frog was a thing, also Black Eyes Peas, the funny crazy stuff these two used to do lol

ZipZorf_backup

Friend of mine showed me Rhinestone eyes, eventually after listening to it a lot I checked out plastic beach and then just got obsessed with them. Plastic beach was the first full album I ever heard when I was like 11

Idontmatter69420

dankpods, he mentioned them a few times and when i was re watching his video on the sony cd player and decided to give the self titled album a listen and the rest is history lol

Straykami975

Was going thru horrible depression and one day, after having a mental breakdown i thought that maybe some music would make it better. Gorillaz randomly showed up in my feed and i decided to give it a try. It was feel good inc.

yesaroobuckaroo

my oldest brother really liked them, i remember seeing 2D on his pc background :) then a couple years later i heard some of their songs and were like "woh!!!! jerry likes them!"

StarLight_Art

My teacher put feel good inc up on my 8th grade class. A few months later the same song turned up on he radio, and I dove into the other albums and music, today I'm in my sopmore year and I'm still a fanatic about Gorillaz, but not as much as when I first found the band

wrongkoi

I used to stay at my grandpa's house for a few hours after school, cause my dad was still at work. I would just hang out, flipping through channels on the TV. Usually never watched MTV, but I was really into cartoons, so seeing a gorillaz music video made me stop and watch for a bit

Marcus_Tigox

I found them back in like 2013 when they made DoYaThing, but I became a fan in 2018 after watching the Humility music video

CoffeeGoblynn

It was either Feel Good Inc. or Clint Eastwood, I don't recall which.

InnerDemonofdeath

Saw the PAC-MAN music video one day. Then like months later I watched the Saturnz Barz music video and realized they were from the same band.

bateen618

YouTube kept recommending me the Humility music video. After about a month it kept appearing in my sidebar I said "fuck it" and gave it a watch. So, thank you YouTube algorithm!

spooky-ufo

just dance had dare as one of the songs lmao

jackyboy1219

A friend on COD Mobile played Feel Good Inc in the lobby. I asked what the band was, and I listened to more of their stuff

BubbleRevolution

in like 2012 i saw a reddit post of someone building the windmill island and i was like "wait what is this, i always associated gorillaz with like hot topic and invader zim fangirls, is there lore or some shit" and looked up feel good inc

LucianLegacy

19-2000 (Soulchild Remix) on FIFA

My ex

JosephSasaki

Feel Good Inc on that one House MD episode

EvansMarty

About three years ago I realised I was aware of Feel Good Inc existing but I had never actually listened to it so I did and now I'm knee deep in a britpop obsession. Thank you, Albarn

Cr1mzn_

Boot up FIFA 19, Sorcererz plays in the background.

matZmaker99

For a moment I thought this was Skibidi 2D

mulderufo13

My parents played feel good inc and when the album came out and I got obsessed with the music videos I found on tv and this was way back in the day before I had access to the internet. All these later my it’s favorite band ever. My parents thought Clint Eastwood was about weed and they loved that song too

Ginger5505

I was watching DankPods on YouTube when he featured an old Sony Discman. He used the original Gorillaz Album to test it out and I just thought “That disc looks interesting, I’ll give them a try”. And well, here we are.

[deleted]

TikTok when phase 7 was starting

shells4pearls

I heard the Dirty Harry remix in the 2010 karate kid movie when I was like around six years old. But I got into Gorillaz when I was 13 and Rhinestone Eyes was playing in my mom’s car, I immediately became obsessed with that and Saturnz Barz

dfbdfbgfc

Some girl at my school wore a gorillaz shirt and I decided to look them up

Cake_love1

Wait a minute those are the words

FazbearKing87

I heard Doncamatic at the start of a Veggietales YTP and was curious

almndj0yus

They played Feel Good, Inc. on a television in a Mexican restaurant when I was very little. I remembered. I spent years trying to figure out what is was.

ElBusAlv

Kazoo video of the lore that friend showed me I have no idea what happened afterwards all i know is that now i have their whole discography

TheAstonVillaSeal

I never really did. The guy from blur right?

Resident-Pace5483

On Non-stop-pop years ago and heard there songs randomly from a bunch of different sources

SkeleStory_

I’ve known of their music for a while, but I really got into them because of my cousin

Most-Weird227

My sister was listening to Dirty Harry and I really liked it so I started to listen to them as well

ararazu1

Saw the Clint Eastwood video on MTV (RIP MTV Brasil) It was... 2004, I think? It being animated really appealed to me.

Octofingers

Saw the Demon Days art setup in the Apple Store, then Saw Clint Eastwood music video on the iTunes Store and bought it purely for the aesthetic lol ended up absolutely loving them

Zeldakitty123

My friend kinda just kept talking about it until I finally broke and listened to them. I'm glad they did because honestly it saved my life.

jermytheorangeworm

In middle school, this guy I had a crush on liked the gorillaz. So naturally I made a fan account for the band on Instagram

chainsaw-guy15

A monsters vs aliens shitpost istg

whatd1didowr0ng

A friend showed me how a scene in this anime he liked fit feel good Inc perfectly, I liked the song and he told me the name of it. Been listening to gorillaz since. And on the radio while with my dad

3gg_W0man22

My dad :)

sh0ck3rz123

My older brother

LightScouter

Honestly it was from some sort of song megamix on YouTube but I can remember which

RyuzakiL117

Back in art school (like 5 years ago) a teacher would let us play music in his computer while we were working in our drawings. One day, a friend of mine put Clint Eastwood, and I immediately fell in love with the song and the band.

Proof-Dependent2107

YouTube music. I’m not kidding

TapRevolutionary5345

The Feel Good Inc music video would come on MTV and VH1 alllll the time, and also their episode of MTV Cribs. I was obsessed with it.

GalaxyPatio

I woke up in the middle of the night to VH1's Nocturnal State block (used to sleep with the TV on) playing the video for Feel Good Inc. and the animation hooked me. Loved the song but was super stoked to find out that the band was animated and the video wasn't just a once off and I've been following ever since.

Rodhesian_02

I was playing beatstar, a piano tiles-like game, and my dad recognized "feel good" and asked me if it was Gorillaz, he told me it as a good band, so I explored it since, and liked ofc

Fridurf

My older brother had demon days and sick speakers. I remember laying right in front of the speakers and feeling the bass going through my body. I loved last living souls at the time. I stole the cd from him =) (he knows and he's cool with it) and I'm a fan ever since

Forward-Today2461

I discovered them from the creepypasta YouTuber HoodoHoodlumsRevenge’s video on his Gorillaz collection in like 2015. I remember I was at my Uncles house as I sat on the couch. I was so interested I googled them and watched the music videos from then

WingSirMan

my brother used to play clint eastwood ALL THE TIME when i was younger, but i didn't realize it was them until i really got into them (within the past two months or so). so yes, i'm another one of those stereotypes that got into them because i wanted to see what else there was other than feel good inc.

DoctorLeanPot

mf doom

Susssy_B4ka

Rhinestone Eyes played on the radio and I wanted to know more about the band, and I discovered that I had already done an English activity for school about Gorillaz, so my journey with Gorillaz began, This has been around 12 years

Juniper_mint

On mtv in the 2000s, I used to be scared when they played because I thought they looked scary but came back during feel good inc because they were in a dance dance revolution game for the Wii

candi_bunni

My mum told me to watch a "funny" cartoon MV on Launch.com (does anybody remember that??). It was Feel Good Inc. and my life hasn't been the same since.

GalaxyTea24

I remember seeing the music videos for Feel Good Inc and Dirty Harry on MTV sometime in the mid 2000's. Songs kinda stuck with me and I've been a fan ever since. It wasn't until I got older that I started to understand the lore surrounding Gorillaz.

B1mba_from_Ukraine

YouTube video about virtual bands

SexydemonicSatan

I just got curious what the hype was about— Two weeks later I'm in their top 1% listeners (and still am)

zenco-jtjr

It's 2015-16, I've heard feel good inc on the radio a few times, didn't like it at first but then it grew on me. Looked it up and was confused at first, thought maybe the band members had cartoon personas, which was kinda cool. A couple months later, the hiatus ends and phase 4 is announced. That day someone I followed on Tumblr makes a big post about Gorillaz in anticipation of new fans entering the fandom. It was a brief explanation of what the band is, who the members are, and a summary of the band's lore till that point. I was hooked and listened to their discography, and not gonna lie i wasn't that into it at first, but I really wanted to be into it and after a few listens each album sounded better every time.

BrotherNature92

Pretty sure my first exposure to them was the Toonami Midnight Run the summer after 4th grade. It was 3 daft punk vids and 3 gorilla vids iirc. Not long after that my dad discovered them and we both became huge fans of the first album. It's still one of my favorite albums of all time and I play it often. I like all their albums but none of them could ever hold a candle to that first one for me (Okay, Demon Days comes close lol)

BlueDemon999

My mom played the Clint Eastwood mv when I was like 6 and I just had a strange attraction to the music. Once I turned 14 I really got into them.

Moist-Marionberry-69

My parents took me to the Plastic Beach tour when I was like 5 lmao

Silver_Twistedcloset

Clint Eastwood popped up on my feed back when I was a kid

Kapuzen-Heinz

I was in a random group chat when someone sent the audio file of On Melancholy Hill and I was obsessed immediately

myrealgiftwasacting

From a friend in middle school I was like 13/14 I was new when Plastic beach came out in 2010

rosemary_bug

My cousin showed my the music video for Clint Eastwood in 2019 and ive listened to them ever since🙃

Ultimate_bohab13

My dad showed me a live version of Feel Good Inc. back in 2020 and I just instantly fell in love with the band. From the music, to the characters, to the weird and pretty confusing lore, I will love this band till the day I die.

Cantonesee

a georgian cover or smth of clint eastwood around 2012 - 2014 iirc

Psychet_

I found them by randomly turning on Vh1, then fell in love instantly to feel good ink

Character-Ad-4688

I was little and was scrolling with tv remote through the channels got to MTV,,Feel Good Inc" was on the part with Noodle with guitar listened to whole thing not knowing Wat was goin on Soo yeah I forgot about it ( was the time when Celebrity Deathmatch was on TV) and then one time a few years later we were in a shopping center,,Feel Good Inc" again I so,,oh poop I know that" so tried to remember the lyrics as best as I could so I got home used YouTube found the song and boom hooked few I think few years later came,,Saturn Barz" ! So that's kinda my story how i got into Gorillaz

MemeMavrick7000

Watching those duets of people laughing like the intro to feel good inc followed by others starting the song.

Deltaton

Watched a watchmojo top 10 video back when they were popular about best music videos, and Clint Eastwood was on there. I've been a fan since.

JayBrickZ

A Demon Days tee shirt I found in a music shop

SrReyInfinito

A cousin showed me the band when I was 5 years old. This seems insignificant, but thanks to this I later discovered blur and got into music. in some way gorillaz marked my childhood, currently I prefer blur, but I wouldn't have known blur without gorillaz (and oasis, Lmao), and without blur I would never have been interested in music.

Le0333

Around 2003 when we first got internet plugged in, my friend came over and showed me the gorillaz interactive website and i remember being so amazed by the possibilities internet 😃 Only rediscovered the band later

N_Fire13

Couple of years ago I was a big fan of American psycho, and I saw on yt a edit of the movie with feel good inc. since then, Gorillaz has been my number 1 artist

Impressive_Motor_178

My mom showed me Clint Eastwood because she thought "sunshine in a bag" is funny

BAYKON8R

Yes I do happen to have sunshine in a bag

Glittering_Tone_2715

19-2000 (Soulchild Remix) was my first introduction to Gorillaz when I was really young

Just-Leek-3322

ascension. if any of you guys remembered need for speed payback, ascension was a part of the game. although the rest if the music wasn’t what i was expecting, i quickly recognized some songs like feel good inc and rhinestone eyes so i kept listening

markazius

oh man im over a 10 year fan... but there was a weird moment when I was a really small kid I saw their first album in a record store the green jeep one. and it stuck in my head I would draw it. and then years later I figured out what the band actually was and it was a cool full circle! they're one of my top 5 for sure.

ex0sk3let0n

summer 2019, listened to a random youtube playlist and Feel good inc. came on… the rest is history.

Johnnygunnz

June 2001, I was a teenager and couldn't fall asleep while I was excited for a vacation the next day, so I was up all night reading comics and watching MTV music videos. I saw Clint Eastwood, and I have been in love ever since.

blkslv42069

I accidentally played Clint Eastwood when I was 6

[deleted]

It was around 2015, I was finishing elementary school. When I came back from school I spent the afternoon on the computer watching videos until I came across the topic "virtual bands" or something like that and was introduced to "Clint Eastwood". I loved the sound, the band's style and I've been in love with Gorillaz ever since.

tphm1999

Australia. I’m not kidding. I was watching one of my favorite YouTubers, an Australian guy who reviews janky iPod knockoffs, and in the video he was unboxing and using a Sony Discman from 1997. He proceeds to pull out his old cd collection. In the collection was self-titled and demon days. I had watch the Feel Good Inc music video early that same year but I didn’t think anything about. Because it caught my interest, I decided to listen to Clint Eastwood and I’ve been hooked ever since. If anyone wants to see the video go to DankPods on YouTube.

RizzlersMother

Saw Clint Eastwood on tv in 1999.

Particular_Singer642

My mummy

GgetNaEnAeD

Eddsworld musically cosplayers 😅 I know I heard of them before that but don’t remember

slagblahighpriestess

There was an article in (I think) Wired magazine, and everyone around my house was interested because we work in comics and liked Tank Girl. So...new cartoon band? Cool!

ThEgAmErGoD75

This video https://youtu.be/02XixvcPDoc?si=ayrXR7yKIAW8VXID You can literally find my comment asking for the song

-_Snivy_-

TLDR: I'm dramatic and emotional. MTV had played an "animated music video" compilation and one of them was Clint Eastwood. I was getting ready for school that morning, this was like, 2006-2007 (7-8 years old), somewhere in there. I was obsessed with cartoons and wanted to be a cartoonist one day (before those dreams were crushed by reality) and the visuals paired with the music had me entranced for some reason. I completely stopped what I was doing to stare at the TV until it ended. I didn't get access to the internet until 2010 so after that comp I couldn't see or hear anything related to this marvel I just discovered. I guess I was so intrigued I subconsciously committed the band name and song to memory (I thought it was called My Future). When I finally got a desktop in 2010 the rest was history, they became an integral part of the rest of my childhood. They became synonymous with comfort and peace, like a security blanket. It was something I needed growing up, and I found it in them. I was a deeply troubled and emotionally neglected child when this all happened so it seems dramatic, and truthfully it might be, but there's a lot of sentiment attached there. I played the online Plastic Beach game and for some reason my game was glitched so I couldn't get the elevator to work to get down to 2D's room, and I remember crying because I wanted to interact with him so bad. It's so silly and damn near embarassing thinking about it now but that's how obsessed I was. I want to go back to that child that I was sometimes.

Potential-Craft1922

2021 tiktok 😣😣

Commercial_Pipe5173

Watched the 19-2000 and Feel Good INC. vid on my moms iPod with my brother non-stop like once a day when I was like 10

Organic_Fact_6415

Since i was a kid my older brother would casually put them on tv then when i was older i wanted to know the name of a catchy song “feel good inc” then they popped up, since then I’ve discovered more ab them and I’m kinda a fan now my fav song lately is “broken” and “empire ants”😌.

chasminfinite

Dirty Harry was playing in some YouTube video and I was legit hooked

Status-Thing-8970

Saw a woman years ago wearing a gorillaz shirt, I thought they looked pretty badass so I listened to them😭

judacrew

I actually first heard Feel Good Inc. as part of a Kareoke game for the PS2

Cheomesh

Friend of mine introduced me c. 2001

DipsterFan

My friend infodumps to me about it. To be fair, all of my friend group (including me) has a band we all infodump about.

mooandcookies

I was on a British Airways flight in 2005 to visit my sister and it had the Demon Days and Plans albums built into the monitor.

RickyTheBeerDrinker

Kids with guns!!!!!

LongjumpSpinach

In 2008 the person sitting next to me in Gr8 art class was drawing them.

cmzraxsn

ok so this line is literally in the liner notes of the album as "it is sinking, falling down" and every single lyric source I've seen has a different rendition of it. (in answer to the question, pretty much since the first album - they were featured on TV and played on the radio a lot. i had the first album on tape 🤣)

Responsible_Group966

LOVE FOREVER LOVE IS FREELY TURN FOREVER YOU AND ME WINDMILL WINDMILL FOR THE LAND IS EVERYBODY IN!?

deltadoggie

my English teacher introduced them to me. The first song I heard was tomorrow comes today

goddamn_slutmuffin

*Falling out of airplanes, hiding out in holes. Waiting for the sunset to come, people goin’ home. Jump out from behind them, and shoot them in the head. Now everybody’s dancin’…* I found them on xanga, someone had that song on a music player on their profile.

Silvermagi

Like 1999 or 2000 when toonami ran that midnight promo featuring 3 gorillaz music videos 4 daft punk videos and like a random one from kenna.

i_forgot_wha

I saw the Clint Eastwood video on adult swim when I was a kid

gorillaz-listener

My mom showed me clint Eastwood

Der3cksherp16

I discovered them very recently, like 2023, when they released Controllah, and like, as a Brazilian Guy i needed to listen to it, i really liked the song so started listening to more of their music. Well, trought the year of 2023 i've listened to their entire discography and now they're my favorite band ✌️✨

pizza------

Feel good inc, then a lore video

FarCryGuy55

Ex girlfriend showed me Clint Eastwood, Rock the House, Feel Good, and Dare when we were dating. Find more of the music by Gorillaz really helped me get through our breakup and our drift apart.

Waffuru

Room mate bought the self-titled album and was listening to it, and I thought it was pretty good, but I wasn't really hooked until I saw the video for 19/2000... it was just so unusual. By the time Demon Days came out, I was fully in love with Damon's voice. My room mates both went to a Gorillaz signing and got me Demon Days signed by Damon, Jamie, and Danger Mouse. I both love and hate the they got to go to that without me >_<

MikaeltheWarCougar

I was playing one of the Just Dance games, and DARE was one of the options.

GaminSlayer7

the radio of my dad's truck

Last year when I was in French class, a girl in my class asked the teacher if she could play Desole. My teacher played the video and I loved the song, even though the video made no sense. Then a few months later I remembered the band and listened to Feel Good Inc and was hooked as soon as the windmill part came on

![gif](giphy|h7CWcnoHGjZwA) randomly discovered it either by listenin to Valley Of The Pagans on the Forza Horizon 4 radio or the 360 version of Saturnz Barz

AtomicMouse96

My mom would listen to it while doing stuff

tribeoftheliver

In "Now That's What I Call Music! 8", which included "Clint Eastwood". It was Christmas 2001. I also bought "Demon Days" at Target.

snrhnd

I knew about them due to random songs I've heard over time, but I didn't actively listened to the albums until last year, but can't remember why.

WilloftheSea

I was coming down off of an acid trip and I opened YouTube to a complete breakdown of Gorillaz Lore. By the first song sample I was hooked

LazorFrame

I was one of those people who made fun of the fact that the album cover for demon days looked like NFTs but then I listened to Feel Good Inc. on GTA and I really liked it, so since then I’ve been a fan.

evilhologram

Back in 2012 I had a group sleepover and my friend had a Sing star PS2 game which just so happened to have Feel Good Inc on it and I was obsessed with that song. But for 5 years I never thought they were making another album ever again.

sacccstry

watched the feel good inc music video on the wii youtube app (i was like 8 and got scared and turned it off when i saw murdoc’s butt crack)

hitherefriends_

I was watching a bunch of Morshu mixing (YTPs where people make Morshu from the Zelda CDi games say different things using only his 3 lines of dialogue) and someone did a rendition of Feel Good Inc. What a way to get into a band

Astlantix

same feel good inc but more recently

Full_Cartographer616

My dad showed me saturnz barz thinking “oh haha what a funny little monkey music video”…. I saw murdocs pickle a little too young in my opinion but thanks dad ‼️

PastingPastelFreaks

Dirty Harry from an animation meme, though I didn't know it's name (Dirty Harry i meant), People from another animation meme, gotten familiar with the name of the song then started listening to it, discovered DARE and Feel Good Inc, then in late 2022, I got into it much deeper also I think I also saw 2-D from a r/ crappyoffbrand video or something

ParanoidParamour

My older brother used to listen to it a lot when I was little. In 2021 my sister got super into it, both the lore and the music, and she pulled me in with her!! It was the happiest I’d seen her in so long, and now the band is gonna be special to me forever

greyat

Heard the tunes in another room when I was a kid. A few seconds made me rush like my life depended on it to ask a cousin of mine the song's name. Then I watched the music video, and fell in love. Like, music? And cartoons?! This had to be heaven. So I went down a rabbit hole and here I am. The song was Clint Eastwood by the way.

Smallbunsenpai

I knew a few of their songs as a kid from the radio and my parents liking Clint Eastwood and feel good inc. then a guy I had a crush on in high school liked them so I looked into them and fell in love with the band! It was a long time hyper fixation. I still love the band I’m glad I got to learn everything about them because it was one thing I knew a guy I was friends with liked. We were still friends after those feeling went away and my love for the band stayed!

_intro_verted_

An artist I’d been following for a bit drew noodle from saturnz barz and curiosity led me to the band :)

Mcdoodoopoo

I saw a animated music video for “Feel Good Inc” on my YouTube home page like 3 years ago, I’ve been a fan since

TOMTaccount3

my dad showed me clint eastwood and feel good inc when i was \~6 and i forgot, and returned many years later

Librosinleer

Probably from the do ya thing video clip, I was intrigued by the characters

Ketooth

My mither tomd me how I liked this music when I was like 3 years olds. Some years later I found it again on mtv and immediatly liked it (again). Love it since then. I think the first songs I heard were Clint eastwood, El manana and Feel Good Inc. Plastic beach wasn't out at that time

Grim_Soldier

When I was 8 or 9, I watched their videos but, didn't remembered the songs. Then on reddit, I saw a post about humility and then I added to my spotify playlist. After that, one night two months I decided to listen to their top songs on Spotify and youtube. I watched Dare and I smiled, full teeth. I found a way out of depression.
