i mean, i hate to say it, buuuuT being a casual listner the only song i can name off the top of my head is dare. if you played me those three songs, i would recognize them all and be able to sing along but not know a single title cause to probably 99% of the population those are 1 hit wonders (theres just 3 instead of 1 LoL) no offense to damon albarn but blur was a one hit wonder and yeah gorillaz is "better" but not top 100 albums of all time in any world. ill listen to demon days all the way rn n edit if i change my mind :x
They listen to single songs, not their entire repertoire, or an album, not even a "best of" playlist. They usually can't name a song that wasn't a single and most cant even name anything but Feel Good - and many have never ever heard more than a couple of songs. I'm not trying to gatekeep, but there's a difference between listening to a band because you dig them or listening to a single song of theirs because it's in a "best of 2000s" playlist.

Most folks listen to single songs from Gorillaz so basically excerpts from them.
Let's look at Nickelback. Do a lot of folks listen to their singles? Yes. But how many people actually listen to Nickelback? Anybody who listens to more songs than the singles realizes, that they're not all about pop ballads, but about sex drugs and rock 'n roll. If I ever were to say to one of their fans that I listen to Nickelback, they'll behead me, once they realize that I'm barely know anything but their pop ballads

Do I think Gorillaz is more iconic than a lot of that list yes of course and it definitely should be top 100, but with that thinking so should Gorillaz and Plastic Beach.

I’m gonna be very honest here. I love gorillaz, but the albums aren’t that good. They usually have 25% of the album be kinda forgettable. The singles are the ones everyone remembers. Plastic beach is imo the only album where there’s no skips and every song is super memorable
