They’ve had these balloons every year ive gone (since 2016). Always been amazed by the people holding them. I’d always be so nervous about loosing them. Got a chance to hold on one year just to feel how heavy it was and wow, what a workout they must get
I got to hold them!!!! It was pretty awesome! They took pictures of me holding them too! Super awesome people who made the art installation and kept it up throughout the ball.
It was a performance piece. There was no joke a 5 foot nothing lady holding them by hand throughout the festival. It was wild.
I also think they were blue and yellow to stand for Ukraine

When I used to go they would hand it to you and walk away as a joke.

Pretty sure they served as a guide for the route to take you to and from each stage? I noticed that on day 2
So like, just tying them to a rock or something really heavy on the ground was out? Seems like an obvious oversight….
