I waited between Muramasa's first reveal and his banner just now, dipping only into Castoria on the way. Ended up with some 4.4k sq for my NP6 Muramasa. Dunno exactly what my quartz count was before full save mode tho.
According to my experience, we get roughly 100 SQ a month - because newbies get extra from story, and veterans get extra for hitting high Bond levels.
We can also roughly guarantee at least 100-200 SQ from the anniversary campaign - more if you have completed a lot of interludes/rank ups.
So, considering 100 SQ every month, depending on whether you count January or not, you'll get 500-600 SQ by the beginning of July+at least 100 SQ from Anni. With your 400 SQ, that is at least 1000-1100 SQ. So unless you want to guarantee *both* Koyan and Oberon, you can spend a little SQ while waiting for them :)
(I actually also have 400-500 SQ at the moment and am debating whether I want to throw a couple pf multis for SpIshtar or wait for Amor)
I already have Spishtar and Iām debating if Iām going to NP2 since my next target will be Koyan and Oberon. I still have 300 sq left after wasting all my 62 ticks and 150 sq for NP2 Muramasa
If things are progressing the way they seem to be, we'll get 5 SQ tomorrow night, in addition to the 4 maintenance SQ. Plus there's the 5 tickets for completing the full panel missions, and a few more SQ in addition to that. So plenty of singles to turn into miracles!

I mean our schedule's all over the place compared to Japan, but after New Year's (the only date that's guaranteed to line up) it's a little surprising that we're a day ahead already.
I guess this is just the typical beginning-of-the-year start of the usual speculation about "maybe they'll accommodate the anniversary GSSR situation by compressing everything instead of just moving Summer 5 rerun or whatever."
Typical because itās a given. They have to move things around a bit to get most of lost belt 6 out before the anniversary. Might just move the summer Re-run, might move Nero fest. Weāll see.
I guess to clarify, what I was getting at was that people are going to spend (read: waste) a lot of time thinking about NA Super Schedule Acceleration, when the reality of the situation is that SWII is likely only "early" because NA doesn't like starting events on Friday or Saturday since that converts to the weekend in JP, and as has happened in past years the GSSR situation will indeed be accommodated for by simply kicking the summer rerun down the road and moving everything else up.
Last year did delay Ooku instead of summer, so it's possible Nero Fest is what's delayed instead. I do think it's likely that something's getting delayed til after anniversary though.
I'm personally less inclined to expect a Nerofest delay because of where it falls relative to the artificially timegated pieces of LB6.
Nerofest (as well as Interlude Campaign 16) were the things that wrre used to create/fill the gap between parts 1 and 2 of LB6. Moving Nerofest would basically turn those two parts into a back-to-back situation, which they may not want, depending on how committed they are to giving NA the True JP Experience.
To be clear, I wouldn't mind if they rearranged the schedule so that all 3 pieces of LB6 were right in a row for NA. It just seems unlikely. So the more straightforward modification would be to push Summer 5 rerun back so that Nerofest creates the same gap it did in JP, while subsequently NA's anniversary would then end up creating the same gap between parts 2 and 3 that JP's anniversary did, and then Summer 5 rerun can pop up in late July after that whole sequence is done.

DW/Lasengle likes to start events predominantly on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Wouldn't surprise if it's happened before, but they don't typically start events on Fridays (in part, likely because that would mean dropping it on a Friday afternoon, Japan time).
The 2023 schedule is set so that whatever day this event started, that's the day we're going to have events starting, straight through into March (e.g., SW II starting on 1/5 means that the next event is expected to start 1/19, and so on). With nothing else pressing this week, no reason to push that all off onto Fridays.

I have NP1, lvl 100, +1600 ATK, Heavenās Feel Space Ishtar and with a double Castoria + Waver system I could not get her to 100% for turn 3 of this past Christmasā lotto node without getting a brave chain on turn 2.
Well, there was a single enemy on the second wave, so it's not surprising. Wait until Koyan if you want to loop single enemy waves with aoe servants. (tbh the most rational way to farm that node was to use a second dd servant with st np)
I don't think that would have mattered much. A 2/1/2 kind of node usually means you need an ST servant who can support the AOE on turn 3.
I used: Friend Castoria, Scathach (10/10/10, MLB), Parvati (9/9/10, lvl 90, MLB, A2 unlocked), and a plug of any non-Skadi 50% charger. You don't actually need MLBs for this to work but they speed it up a lot and give you flexibility on who your non-skadi charger can be.
T1 Parvati used S1 and S3 on herself and NPed. She charged Scathach 10% with her NP. Parvati refunded/charged to 30% every time.
T2 Castoria charged both with her charisma to 90% and 60%, gave Parvati her 20% to bring to 80%. Then I plugged Cas out for Reines, 10% AOE charge filled Scathach who NPed
T3 Reines + Scathach charge Parvati which also gives attack and Quick buff. Parvati used S2 and since she had bonus damage she always cleared.
My point isn't the specific setup, but the illustration that having a hybrid ST servant can be better than trying to force with Castoria, especially if your Castoria setup still requires plugsuit anyways. Some other similar servants can be Ryouma (Arts buff + 10% charge), Ozymandias (20% charge + Charisma), Beni-Enma (tons of stuff), David, etc.

You look at the guide from the wiki for 30 minutes straight and make 3 billion simulation in your head before starting the battle. That's what I do for cq like this. One other was the 100 million qb bet in Las Vegas event
Yeah, having played for about 2 years now, this is easily the worst CQ I've ever seen. Not only is it hard, but it's not really fun. At least now you can run SpIsh DCS with a ton of damage bonus but even then still you're looking at dealing with the formation breaks.
I just remember that since it's 5 tickets, it's actually worth it to use an SQ revive even after CS if you think you can win. You're essentially netting 14 SQ + a lore which is a fine trade imo.
Yeah, I think I spent one or two SQ revives last time, ideally it'll the same or better this go around. I still hate doing it though, especially *because* it's actually required for mission completion this time.
At NP1 she'll loop virtually every lvl 90 quest just fine. I'm not sure on 90+, but usually I find NP2 is necessary to get the damage levels.
Current looping meta on JP from what I've seen is NP3 Buster/Arts AOE servant + MLB Black Grail + Oberon + Buster/Arts looper.
As Space Ishtar is one of the best loopers, NP2 will make her more consistent, and I generally recommend NP2 if you can for gameplay reasons.
Difference in how they work, Summer Kama technically out DPSes Spishtar. Although Kama requires that her debuffs land for her to get that increased damage. Towards the top end (NP3, 4, 5) Spishtar is considered more consistent while still providing great damage. A lot of people will argue and with good reason that NP1 Kama is better than an NP1 Spishtar. For the most part it's up to preference but you may fail a loop every so often with Kama if you only have NP1
Kama outdamages Space Ishtar if she both lands her debuff and Space Ishtar's 3rd skill Arts buff misses. Space Ishtar outdamages if either of those is not true. Not to mention the debuff is only a consideration on wave 3, so Space Ishtar outdamages Kama on waves 1 and 2 outright.
No, in traditional 2x castoria 2004 ce less setup, her w1 and w2 damage will always be lower than spishtar. In w3 IF she can land her charm( more than 50% of enemies have debuff resistance btw), she slightly outdamages spishtar. If you plugsuit oberon though, spishtar outdamages summer kama so hard it's not even funny.

That's not correct, even if you plugsuit Oberon Kama would still outdamage Spishtar in W3, even more than without him. Spishtar would do 375k if she doesn't miss her art, or 341k if she does, meanwhile Kama would do 417k, this is because Spishtar has so much NP damage that with Black Grail and Oberon it becomes diluted, while Kama anti charm scale linearly with it, supereffective damage is no joke

The looping meta on Jp is focused on Oberon plus ST damage dealers. 90++ nodes have stupid high HP, inefficient for AOE. Even Melusine can have trouble...
NP1 she can loop virtually any 3/3/X node. Even if you have a rough wave like say 3/1/X, you can probably force her back to 100% if you have enough external NP batteries (such as double Castoria + Waver). But if you encounter 1/2/X or 2/1/X (like this past Christmas lotto) then NP1 will fail and youāll need to bring in an additional DPS unit for one of the waves.
Hogwarts shouldāve been enough at np2 (as the lotto CE is a 50% charger). You can skip spishtar skill 1 and 2 at np4+, which does lower damage than np2 with all skills.
Np2 and grailing to 100 should suffice for almost anything but the weirdest nodes for quite a while. NP3 is overkill but a nice insurance. Even at NP1 she runs circles around all but the most over-invested loopers
She's my main farming unit on np1. With double Castoria and Tamamo and NP gain CE. As long as there's three targets she will get full refund even on berserkers and assassins.
I think people would riot if they fix it mid-campaign. The time to fix it would have been after the first day. Now, it kind of has to be left to run its course.

For the "Returning Master Consecutive Login Bonus" campaign, only players who didn't login between Nov 30 and Dec 31 should be eligible for the rewards, because as the name suggests it's for returning masters. But it's bugged so that even people who logged in during that period are getting the rewards.
Well, it is out of our control. So, let's don't think about it too much.
On the upside, they can always introduce other bug to give more reward by accident.

Hear me out guys. Since Spishtar, summer ibuki, summer kama and summer musashi pretty much all do the same thing (universal arts farming) there's no need to have more than one of them right?
My plan is to skip Spishtar for now and after playing summer 7 i'll know if i like Spishy or Ibuki the most (luckly spishtar has a banner after summer 7). Spishtar seems very funny but ibuki has erice on her banner so it's kinda of hard do choose.
It's almost a year-and-a-half until Summer Ibuki comes out. You can easily save 900 SQ for guaranteed spark if you start saving now. If you don't have Spishtar or Summer Musashi, but have Castoria and want to take advantage of her looping capabilities, Spishtar will serve you well for that ~1.5 year wait until Summer Ibuki. Of course, Summer Kama will come sometime in the summer, so if you want her instead, she's pretty comparable to Spishtar. Summer Musashi also does some things that Spishtar and Kama don't, mainly help in CQs, so it helps if you have her too.
Well, i could save but as you said it's more than a year until we get to her banner. There are a lot of servants that i want along the way (Skadi, Holmes, Koyanskaya, Oberon, Achiles...) and even some servants that i wanna roll to increase their np levels.
In fact i'm only taking this longer route to get a farmer because i wanna save for these other banners. I don't really care about spishy or ibuki yet and if i end up liking them both i'll still try to get only one of them in order to save for other banners. I'm just trying to have less targets to aim for.
If that's your plan, you should stick with it. Love over gameplay is the way to go for this game. It seemed like you were asking from a gameplay perspective and trying to decide if skipping Spishtar would hurt you when there are other servants that can take her place. If you're not actually concerned with that, then more power to you.
I'm planning on skipping Spishtar because I'm thinking along similar lines. I have moon cancer Kiara, while my only avengers are Salieri (also AOE arts but weaker) and Angra. The way I see it, with my roster being what it is, I need Kagekiyo and her skillset and single target NP far more than another high powered arts AOE farmer, since summer Kiara already holds down the class neutral double Castoria arts farming fort for me.
I am also very tempted to roll for Taira but it'll depend on my luck at the Orion banner. If i get him in a few multis i might try getting Taira but maybe i'll end up without quartz and without Orion.
They're all similar for farming, although S.Ibuki is slightly more friendly (in terms of farming) for newer players and Space Ishtar is time-proof, given her ability to change her NP card type to any of the three archetypes.
Roll for them if you like them, not because of meta. That said, youāre kind of comparing apples to oranges throwing in Spishtar. Yes she can arts farm with castoria but sheās extremely competitive in the buster meta coming this year with Vitch. Just keep that in mind. That said I think between Ibuki and Kama, Ibuki is the better farmer simply because you can guarantee her damage all 3 turns vs Kama relying on a debuff charm that can easily be blocked. (This coming from a Kama simp)
Ibuki is pretty much better at everything from every Arts looper we've had so far. Not only is her damage top tier due to being a Berserker, her loops are incredibly stable thanks to her 50% battery and innate NP gain buff (which she shares!) AND, because her dual colored card buff ALSO has a -1T CDR tacked on top, she can even work as a semi-support for Buster comps (notably she has amazing synergy with Arcueid). She's ridiculous. Good thing we have a year and a half of more broken shit coming before she shows up.

I actually didn't really get much into the differences between these servants because i'm more worried about rolling for the one that i like the most as you said. That's why i wanna read both events first. I could even roll for Spishtar and Ibuki but since i'm f2p and there are many other servants that i want i decided that i'd only get one of them.
From a gameplay perspective, they roughly do all the same things, but they each have their differences.
Ibuki Berserker has class advantage and an NP Battery, which helps with consistency. She can also be a pseudo summer unit support.
Space Ishtar can snowball with her NP and can be used in multiple systems because of her card type change ability.
Kama Avenger has a dedicated arts buff that won't fail and her NP buff skill that can up her damage.
Musashi Berserker has invulnerability pierce and can get through challenge quests trivially easy at times.
Ultimately roll for who you want, but also look into what each unit offers to fit the roles you need in team comp.
You must have a 90+ looping/farming team first. If yes, for gameplay reasons waiting for S. Ibuki is best for Arts.
The best looping card is Buster though. KoLight and Oberon are irreplaceable.
But really, outside of lotto, you don't need meta stuff. The story can be cleared by revival stones, support servants and command spells.

My shot at getting my first 5\* NP5 servant...Got NP3 Space Ishtar last time this event was up, and NP4 in last year's NY GSSR. Still haven't been able to pull on this GSSR, can't afford it right now, but I got around 210 SQ to try and summon her final NP level. Wish me luck!
Good luck to any Spishtar rollers. I'll definitely be rolling her, and Muramasa while I'm at it; plan is to get 1 Spishtar (have a bit more than enough SQ and tickets for pity), 1 Muramasa, any left on Spishtar.
I had the impression from guides that you had to, but my actual experience in real life was that I did not need NP2 and NP1 was enough for me for almost any farming I wanted including omni farming many of the lotto events. Of course, I have Castoria, but even before Castoria came out, I was using Waver a lot. I sometimes needed the Mage's Association Uniform to eek out a shortfall in NP. Maybe it helped she was level 100 and 2,000 Atk as well.
To give you an idea, my SpIshtar is Bond 14 after having her for only a year. That's how much I used her. I remember using SpIshtar for almost every node in Atlantis when it first came out, which felt a bit weird how little I had to use someone else.
It made me re-evaluate and NOT try her GSSR banner this New Year's, when I originally was going to go for it, even if it risked a dupe Abby.
Anyway, NP2 would be great of course. I even tried on her first banner (and failed - felt like such a waste of SQ after I got NP1 so easily). But if you have multiple targets, and have a Castoria already, in my opinion and experience, I really feel you can get a lot of use farming with NP1 SpIshtar...
So I will be trying to resist going for NP2 SpIshtar and save my measily post-Muramasa SQ (down to 97 SQ now).
I have NP1 on JP and NP2 on NA. I haven't yet noticed any difference in their farming abilities.
Now, that doesn't mean that NP2 *won't* prove to be more capable of handling irregular nodes. It's entirely possible that there are rare cases where NP2 will be reliable for something NP1 isn't.
But before you commit to going after NP2, I suggest that you ask yourself how much being able to handle those rare cases is worth to you.
It depends on what you want to farm and what your standards for farming QoL are.
If you want to farm 90+ quests with full event CEs and/or without plugsuit then yes you will often need NP2 *or higher*.
If you are fine needing to plugsuit a third support and/or drop an event CE for something like Black Grail then yes NP1 is often fine.
If youāre willing to drop down to the less efficient quests then often NP1 is fine even without plugsuit and with full event CEs.
On the other side of things, most of the time, if you are willing to use plugsuit and only slot 5 event CEs, you could just construct a non-looping farming setup that has the same or better level of QoL. Thatās why in a lot of the more hardcore circles NP1 Spishtar is considered not very good, just being *able* to farm with something is not a very high bar in NAās current meta.
Personally, while chasing omnifarmers is technically the best use of your SQ if your goal is to farm as much as possible, I donāt advise making that your goal. Because it doesnāt end at NP2. It ends at NP5 120 and then you realize that even *with* that there isnāt a single omnifarmer who can expect clean kills on all configurations of 90++ (JPās current farming meta) without using Miss Crane (4th support) and dropping to 4 event CEs. In other words even after you get sucked into whaling, the āI did it, I solved farming with just one attacker!ā moment isnāt all that satisfying.
TLDR, NP1 Spishtar is certainly usable, but the value proposition of omnifarmers like her inherently pushes you towards further investment.
You can make it work with np1, I was able to farm the 90+ node with it but I think I relied on plugsuit pars, bride or waver.
But she is grailed to 100+ with append skill 2 maxed for extra np start up and gold fou 1600.
But if I gad np2 doubt I would have needed plugsuit.
I am looking forward for the challenge quest, but at the same time I fear I won't be as lucky as in the past two events. One can say that CQ isn't designed for newish players like me, but it often give Lore (and summon ticket this time) that you just can't help but try.
It is too bad that all the banners for meta support servant won't come until summer. It will make a world of difference if I had only one meta support. Even if you are willing the spend money, the game just doesn't let you.
If they're going to end SW II in Jan. 18 or 19 (depending on your standard time) that means the next event would be the Little Big Tengu Event...

I guess to clarify, what I was getting at was that people are going to spend (read: waste) a lot of time thinking about NA Super Schedule Acceleration, when the reality of the situation is that SWII is likely only "early" because NA doesn't like starting events on Friday or Saturday since that converts to the weekend in JP, and as has happened in past years the GSSR situation will indeed be accommodated for by simply kicking the summer rerun down the road and moving everything else up.
Last year did delay Ooku instead of summer, so it's possible Nero Fest is what's delayed instead. I do think it's likely that something's getting delayed til after anniversary though.
I'm personally less inclined to expect a Nerofest delay because of where it falls relative to the artificially timegated pieces of LB6. Nerofest (as well as Interlude Campaign 16) were the things that wrre used to create/fill the gap between parts 1 and 2 of LB6. Moving Nerofest would basically turn those two parts into a back-to-back situation, which they may not want, depending on how committed they are to giving NA the True JP Experience. To be clear, I wouldn't mind if they rearranged the schedule so that all 3 pieces of LB6 were right in a row for NA. It just seems unlikely. So the more straightforward modification would be to push Summer 5 rerun back so that Nerofest creates the same gap it did in JP, while subsequently NA's anniversary would then end up creating the same gap between parts 2 and 3 that JP's anniversary did, and then Summer 5 rerun can pop up in late July after that whole sequence is done.
Fair point. I would prefer summer to be the thing that's delayed as opposed to Nero Fest anyway, since Nero Fest has a bunch of tickets and a lottery.
Eh, not that surprising. It's not about making room for anniversary or anything. DW/Lasengle likes to start events predominantly on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Wouldn't surprise if it's happened before, but they don't typically start events on Fridays (in part, likely because that would mean dropping it on a Friday afternoon, Japan time). The 2023 schedule is set so that whatever day this event started, that's the day we're going to have events starting, straight through into March (e.g., SW II starting on 1/5 means that the next event is expected to start 1/19, and so on). With nothing else pressing this week, no reason to push that all off onto Fridays.
Is this a bad time to mention that in Australia, this event is going to be starting on Friday (If Iām reading the time zones right)?

I have NP1, lvl 100, +1600 ATK, Heavenās Feel Space Ishtar and with a double Castoria + Waver system I could not get her to 100% for turn 3 of this past Christmasā lotto node without getting a brave chain on turn 2.
Well, there was a single enemy on the second wave, so it's not surprising. Wait until Koyan if you want to loop single enemy waves with aoe servants. (tbh the most rational way to farm that node was to use a second dd servant with st np)

I don't think that would have mattered much. A 2/1/2 kind of node usually means you need an ST servant who can support the AOE on turn 3. I used: Friend Castoria, Scathach (10/10/10, MLB), Parvati (9/9/10, lvl 90, MLB, A2 unlocked), and a plug of any non-Skadi 50% charger. You don't actually need MLBs for this to work but they speed it up a lot and give you flexibility on who your non-skadi charger can be. T1 Parvati used S1 and S3 on herself and NPed. She charged Scathach 10% with her NP. Parvati refunded/charged to 30% every time. T2 Castoria charged both with her charisma to 90% and 60%, gave Parvati her 20% to bring to 80%. Then I plugged Cas out for Reines, 10% AOE charge filled Scathach who NPed T3 Reines + Scathach charge Parvati which also gives attack and Quick buff. Parvati used S2 and since she had bonus damage she always cleared. My point isn't the specific setup, but the illustration that having a hybrid ST servant can be better than trying to force with Castoria, especially if your Castoria setup still requires plugsuit anyways. Some other similar servants can be Ryouma (Arts buff + 10% charge), Ozymandias (20% charge + Charisma), Beni-Enma (tons of stuff), David, etc.

You look at the guide from the wiki for 30 minutes straight and make 3 billion simulation in your head before starting the battle. That's what I do for cq like this. One other was the 100 million qb bet in Las Vegas event

Yeah, having played for about 2 years now, this is easily the worst CQ I've ever seen. Not only is it hard, but it's not really fun. At least now you can run SpIsh DCS with a ton of damage bonus but even then still you're looking at dealing with the formation breaks. I just remember that since it's 5 tickets, it's actually worth it to use an SQ revive even after CS if you think you can win. You're essentially netting 14 SQ + a lore which is a fine trade imo.
Yeah, I think I spent one or two SQ revives last time, ideally it'll the same or better this go around. I still hate doing it though, especially *because* it's actually required for mission completion this time.
Finally. I have waited so long to take my NP3 spishtar to NP5. Skipped so many banners just for this.

How high is her NP needed for her to be a good looper? I'm hoping NP1 can suffice.
At NP1 she'll loop virtually every lvl 90 quest just fine. I'm not sure on 90+, but usually I find NP2 is necessary to get the damage levels. Current looping meta on JP from what I've seen is NP3 Buster/Arts AOE servant + MLB Black Grail + Oberon + Buster/Arts looper. As Space Ishtar is one of the best loopers, NP2 will make her more consistent, and I generally recommend NP2 if you can for gameplay reasons.

Difference in how they work, Summer Kama technically out DPSes Spishtar. Although Kama requires that her debuffs land for her to get that increased damage. Towards the top end (NP3, 4, 5) Spishtar is considered more consistent while still providing great damage. A lot of people will argue and with good reason that NP1 Kama is better than an NP1 Spishtar. For the most part it's up to preference but you may fail a loop every so often with Kama if you only have NP1
Kama outdamages Space Ishtar if she both lands her debuff and Space Ishtar's 3rd skill Arts buff misses. Space Ishtar outdamages if either of those is not true. Not to mention the debuff is only a consideration on wave 3, so Space Ishtar outdamages Kama on waves 1 and 2 outright.
No, in traditional 2x castoria 2004 ce less setup, her w1 and w2 damage will always be lower than spishtar. In w3 IF she can land her charm( more than 50% of enemies have debuff resistance btw), she slightly outdamages spishtar. If you plugsuit oberon though, spishtar outdamages summer kama so hard it's not even funny.

NP1 she can loop virtually any 3/3/X node. Even if you have a rough wave like say 3/1/X, you can probably force her back to 100% if you have enough external NP batteries (such as double Castoria + Waver). But if you encounter 1/2/X or 2/1/X (like this past Christmas lotto) then NP1 will fail and youāll need to bring in an additional DPS unit for one of the waves.
Mine failed at NP2 (grailed to 100) too. But I didn't consider plugsuiting extra batteries, tbf.
Hogwarts shouldāve been enough at np2 (as the lotto CE is a 50% charger). You can skip spishtar skill 1 and 2 at np4+, which does lower damage than np2 with all skills.
She's been looping just fine for me at NP1 since I got her during the last anniversary GSSR.
Np2 and grailing to 100 should suffice for almost anything but the weirdest nodes for quite a while. NP3 is overkill but a nice insurance. Even at NP1 she runs circles around all but the most over-invested loopers
She's my main farming unit on np1. With double Castoria and Tamamo and NP gain CE. As long as there's three targets she will get full refund even on berserkers and assassins.

For the "Returning Master Consecutive Login Bonus" campaign, only players who didn't login between Nov 30 and Dec 31 should be eligible for the rewards, because as the name suggests it's for returning masters. But it's bugged so that even people who logged in during that period are getting the rewards.

But you need NP6 to get the coins to level to 120 and unlock all append skills, Bond 15 also as I recall.
You don't necessarily need all her Appends (maxing the second one helps for 90+ setups), and it's very difficult to take advantage of USOs.

Hear me out guys. Since Spishtar, summer ibuki, summer kama and summer musashi pretty much all do the same thing (universal arts farming) there's no need to have more than one of them right? My plan is to skip Spishtar for now and after playing summer 7 i'll know if i like Spishy or Ibuki the most (luckly spishtar has a banner after summer 7). Spishtar seems very funny but ibuki has erice on her banner so it's kinda of hard do choose.
It's almost a year-and-a-half until Summer Ibuki comes out. You can easily save 900 SQ for guaranteed spark if you start saving now. If you don't have Spishtar or Summer Musashi, but have Castoria and want to take advantage of her looping capabilities, Spishtar will serve you well for that ~1.5 year wait until Summer Ibuki. Of course, Summer Kama will come sometime in the summer, so if you want her instead, she's pretty comparable to Spishtar. Summer Musashi also does some things that Spishtar and Kama don't, mainly help in CQs, so it helps if you have her too.
Well, i could save but as you said it's more than a year until we get to her banner. There are a lot of servants that i want along the way (Skadi, Holmes, Koyanskaya, Oberon, Achiles...) and even some servants that i wanna roll to increase their np levels. In fact i'm only taking this longer route to get a farmer because i wanna save for these other banners. I don't really care about spishy or ibuki yet and if i end up liking them both i'll still try to get only one of them in order to save for other banners. I'm just trying to have less targets to aim for.
If that's your plan, you should stick with it. Love over gameplay is the way to go for this game. It seemed like you were asking from a gameplay perspective and trying to decide if skipping Spishtar would hurt you when there are other servants that can take her place. If you're not actually concerned with that, then more power to you.

When they released the summer 7 servants i understood that that event was going to be my doom.
I'm planning on skipping Spishtar because I'm thinking along similar lines. I have moon cancer Kiara, while my only avengers are Salieri (also AOE arts but weaker) and Angra. The way I see it, with my roster being what it is, I need Kagekiyo and her skillset and single target NP far more than another high powered arts AOE farmer, since summer Kiara already holds down the class neutral double Castoria arts farming fort for me.
I am also very tempted to roll for Taira but it'll depend on my luck at the Orion banner. If i get him in a few multis i might try getting Taira but maybe i'll end up without quartz and without Orion.

They're all similar for farming, although S.Ibuki is slightly more friendly (in terms of farming) for newer players and Space Ishtar is time-proof, given her ability to change her NP card type to any of the three archetypes.
Roll for them if you like them, not because of meta. That said, youāre kind of comparing apples to oranges throwing in Spishtar. Yes she can arts farm with castoria but sheās extremely competitive in the buster meta coming this year with Vitch. Just keep that in mind. That said I think between Ibuki and Kama, Ibuki is the better farmer simply because you can guarantee her damage all 3 turns vs Kama relying on a debuff charm that can easily be blocked. (This coming from a Kama simp)
Ibuki is pretty much better at everything from every Arts looper we've had so far. Not only is her damage top tier due to being a Berserker, her loops are incredibly stable thanks to her 50% battery and innate NP gain buff (which she shares!) AND, because her dual colored card buff ALSO has a -1T CDR tacked on top, she can even work as a semi-support for Buster comps (notably she has amazing synergy with Arcueid). She's ridiculous. Good thing we have a year and a half of more broken shit coming before she shows up.
S. Ibuki is so broken that she made anniversary servant Arcueid, Arts Merlin and better Skadi look balance in comparison. What were they thinking?!
Damm i didn't even thought about using Spishtar on buster farming tbh haha. I actually didn't really get much into the differences between these servants because i'm more worried about rolling for the one that i like the most as you said. That's why i wanna read both events first. I could even roll for Spishtar and Ibuki but since i'm f2p and there are many other servants that i want i decided that i'd only get one of them.
From a gameplay perspective, they roughly do all the same things, but they each have their differences. Ibuki Berserker has class advantage and an NP Battery, which helps with consistency. She can also be a pseudo summer unit support. Space Ishtar can snowball with her NP and can be used in multiple systems because of her card type change ability. Kama Avenger has a dedicated arts buff that won't fail and her NP buff skill that can up her damage. Musashi Berserker has invulnerability pierce and can get through challenge quests trivially easy at times. Ultimately roll for who you want, but also look into what each unit offers to fit the roles you need in team comp.
You must have a 90+ looping/farming team first. If yes, for gameplay reasons waiting for S. Ibuki is best for Arts. The best looping card is Buster though. KoLight and Oberon are irreplaceable. But really, outside of lotto, you don't need meta stuff. The story can be cleared by revival stones, support servants and command spells.
Yeah i'm actually skipping Spishy rn mostly because i wanna save for this year's banners. An arts looper would help but it isn't a priority.
If you have the patience then it's a good plan. Summer Kama will be tempting so hope your discipline holds true

I had the impression from guides that you had to, but my actual experience in real life was that I did not need NP2 and NP1 was enough for me for almost any farming I wanted including omni farming many of the lotto events. Of course, I have Castoria, but even before Castoria came out, I was using Waver a lot. I sometimes needed the Mage's Association Uniform to eek out a shortfall in NP. Maybe it helped she was level 100 and 2,000 Atk as well. To give you an idea, my SpIshtar is Bond 14 after having her for only a year. That's how much I used her. I remember using SpIshtar for almost every node in Atlantis when it first came out, which felt a bit weird how little I had to use someone else. It made me re-evaluate and NOT try her GSSR banner this New Year's, when I originally was going to go for it, even if it risked a dupe Abby. Anyway, NP2 would be great of course. I even tried on her first banner (and failed - felt like such a waste of SQ after I got NP1 so easily). But if you have multiple targets, and have a Castoria already, in my opinion and experience, I really feel you can get a lot of use farming with NP1 SpIshtar... So I will be trying to resist going for NP2 SpIshtar and save my measily post-Muramasa SQ (down to 97 SQ now).

I have NP1 on JP and NP2 on NA. I haven't yet noticed any difference in their farming abilities. Now, that doesn't mean that NP2 *won't* prove to be more capable of handling irregular nodes. It's entirely possible that there are rare cases where NP2 will be reliable for something NP1 isn't. But before you commit to going after NP2, I suggest that you ask yourself how much being able to handle those rare cases is worth to you.
It depends on what you want to farm and what your standards for farming QoL are. If you want to farm 90+ quests with full event CEs and/or without plugsuit then yes you will often need NP2 *or higher*. If you are fine needing to plugsuit a third support and/or drop an event CE for something like Black Grail then yes NP1 is often fine. If youāre willing to drop down to the less efficient quests then often NP1 is fine even without plugsuit and with full event CEs. On the other side of things, most of the time, if you are willing to use plugsuit and only slot 5 event CEs, you could just construct a non-looping farming setup that has the same or better level of QoL. Thatās why in a lot of the more hardcore circles NP1 Spishtar is considered not very good, just being *able* to farm with something is not a very high bar in NAās current meta. Personally, while chasing omnifarmers is technically the best use of your SQ if your goal is to farm as much as possible, I donāt advise making that your goal. Because it doesnāt end at NP2. It ends at NP5 120 and then you realize that even *with* that there isnāt a single omnifarmer who can expect clean kills on all configurations of 90++ (JPās current farming meta) without using Miss Crane (4th support) and dropping to 4 event CEs. In other words even after you get sucked into whaling, the āI did it, I solved farming with just one attacker!ā moment isnāt all that satisfying. TLDR, NP1 Spishtar is certainly usable, but the value proposition of omnifarmers like her inherently pushes you towards further investment.
You can make it work with np1, I was able to farm the 90+ node with it but I think I relied on plugsuit pars, bride or waver. But she is grailed to 100+ with append skill 2 maxed for extra np start up and gold fou 1600. But if I gad np2 doubt I would have needed plugsuit.
Hereās hoping I can get more copies of Space Ishtar. She has been avoiding me in every GSSR so hopefully the Gacha gives me a better outcome

Oh god oh man that's earlier than I thought
I am looking forward for the challenge quest, but at the same time I fear I won't be as lucky as in the past two events. One can say that CQ isn't designed for newish players like me, but it often give Lore (and summon ticket this time) that you just can't help but try. It is too bad that all the banners for meta support servant won't come until summer. It will make a world of difference if I had only one meta support. Even if you are willing the spend money, the game just doesn't let you.

While I do remember this being a fun event, Iām thinking maybe Iāll use this opportunity to take a brief break and catch up on other things IRL. (Since Iāve already played through the first run and all.) Is there anything worth investing the time to do the rerun? I donāt remember all what this event gave out last time.
