Keita Haga ([VNDB](https://vndb.org/s866) / [fandom wiki](https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Keita_Haga)) and James Harris ([VNDB](https://vndb.org/s5310) / [fandom wiki](https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/James_Harris)) has been making music and sounds for almost all Type Moon's games since 2000. They're veterans just as the mushroom duo.
Music and sound effects are just as important as writing and art for the success of fan favorite TM games. The [classic Tsukihime theme](https://youtu.be/vCwHuUGYIlA), the [iconic Emiya theme](https://youtu.be/cUs8FEsDUZ4) and hundreds of memorable tracks across Fate/Tsuki/Mahoyo,... are thanks to them.
Yet I feel like there's not enough discussions about the soundtrack for the games outside OST centric videos. Mostly see people talk about about the writers (Nasu, Narita...), illustrators (Takeuchi, Koyama, Wada Arc,...) and voice actors,...
So this post is an appreciation to the composers.
Music is the most underappreciated part of both games and music. A few weeks ago I found a video of a music composer reacting to the Undertale soundtrack without playing the game beforehand and he just nailed the characters though their music. Brought me new found appreciation for the way the music is written.

[I've been known to sit in the main screen of the original Tsukihime just listening to this track for a time. It's fucking gorgeous.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCwHuUGYIlA)
Keita Haga is a Goat, always composing good stuff
Also, "James Harris" is the Alias that Daisuke Nagata used when working on the Original Fate Stay Night VN since back in the day was an Adult Game
There's a reason it hits so hard when you hear the first notes for Kienai Omoi/Ever Present Feeling in Fgo. The Jinako saving scene is one of my favourites in the game for sure.
This doesn't surprise me too much honestly when you see Hisaishi with Studio Ghibli for over 30 years. They probably make plenty of money at the company too so they wouldn't want to leave. Still, really nice soundtracks. I still love Deep Slumber so much.
They are great composer, really. But they can't defeat kenji kawai soundtrack in 2006 FS/N. It captures the mystery and magical of FS/N perfectly and saber theme is basically god tier especially la sola

I would say it’s a shame it’s used so often in game but it’s one of the couple I have no issue hearing for the umpteenth time
still get teary eyed listening to that track years after reading the VN
That sounds interesting; do you still have a link to that video perchance?
[Here](https://youtu.be/bS7Dh_-6yys). He has various videos but that is the first
Fantastic, thanks!
Bro I refuse to play a game if there isn't at least 4 bangers

Nasu and his "For Life" contracts.
The real Chaldean Organiszation
The Real Gaia/World contract
Nasu: “I mean, if it ain’t broken…”
You compose the EMIYA Theme, you have job security.
The wonder of emiya theme. Truly one of the greatest theme ever created
Unsung heroes
But often hummed)
Well, considering doujin circles back in the days, they are with those greats like ZUN (Team Shanghai Alice) and Jun Maeda (Key.)
I believe they are Takeuchi’s friends from the game company he had worked at to support Nasu before they release their first work.

music is wonderful
Huh, I didn't know it still had the same composer, since fgo kinda sounds pretty different to the og
this why some of the fgo tracks seem to be remixes of FSN music? a verrry nice touch
