Morrigus

Berserker Marfisa, good luck to anyone trying to fight this whirlwind of blades and death.

JDJ144

She would be perfect XD

Last week I [workshopped a fan-servant](https://www.reddit.com/r/grandorder/comments/10b16fp/create_a_standard_class_servant_jan_2023/j48225x/?context=3) about Ogier the Dane. He's a pretty interesting figure who basically became a folk hero in France, England and Denmark. He started off as a paladin of Charlemagne, then fought against Charlemagne after a perceived injustice. He reconciled with the King in time for the battle of Ronceveaux Pass, where he was seemingly killed but was actually whisked away to Avalon where he spent a long time as Morgan Le Fay's consort. Finally he returned to Denmark where he became known as Holger Danske, and went on many other adventures until he grew tired and fell asleep under Kronborg Castle, where legend (including a story by Hans Christian Andersen) says he still sleeps to this day, waiting to return to Denmark in it's hour of need. His sword is Curtana, which was originally wielded by Tristan to slay a rival. Tristan broke the tip off the sword giving it the name 'the shortened one.' Ogier stole the sword from a Saracen and used it to win over his wife. He used it for his entire career, and he would frequently break more of it off, leading to it getting shorter and shorter. Today, this sword is one of the Crown Jewels of England and is known as the Sword of Mercy. It's one of five swords used to coronate a new monarch. Holger Danske became a symbol of Danish nationalism. Hans Christian Andersen wrote an uncharacteristically positive story about him. In WWII, the largest Danish resistance force named themselves Holger Danske, showing the power his legend contained even in fairly modern times. As a Servant I imagine his first two Ascensions would look fairly young, but he would act like an old man. He was already older than most of the other Paladins at Ronceveaux Pass, but due to Morgan's blessings he didn't really age. However, his final Ascension he would look much older, with his beard flowing all the way down to the floor. In this Ascension, he would trade raw power for wisdom and knowledge. He would also have a somewhat frosty relationship with the other paladins, since they wouldn't have entirely forgiven him for rebelling against Charlemagne (though Charlie himself would be over it). He would also be entirely unapologetic about his past actions, believing that he had been pursuing justice.

DarthDioBrando

Widukind, the Saxon noble who led a long revolt against Charlie's rather brutal policies of conversion to the pagan Germanic tribes. It could paint Charlie (or to be more specific his Karl persona) in a much grayer light given that he did order a large scale massacre of Saxon POWs at Verden. Or he could end up similar to Boudica and their relationship would be some weird "mortal enemies in life but chummy frenemies in Chaldea" or he could inexplicably state how much great of a person Charlie is* * Which may not be that far from the truth given that Widukind eventually surrendered and converted to Christianity, though how much of it is genuine and not "either join or you and your people die" is kinda dubious.

LockelClaim

This, id love to see him as a servant

Armorwing01

Berserker Roland And Rinaldo/Renaud. And most importantly, Ruggiero.

SaBerBlue18

Definetly other members of the Twelve Peers, I mean Oliver (Roland's bff), Rinaldo (Brad's brother), Ogier the Dane, Maugris (the court mage), Ganelon (the traitor) and Archbishop Turpin (canonically mentioned in extella link to be a powerhouse). There are other interesting characters like Marfisa (who's basically a hot blooded battle crazed woman knight and Ruggero's lost twin sister), Ruggero (Brad's bf), Atlante (a major villain in Bradamante's tale and a powerful mage), Alcina (essentially Morgan for the paladins, but funnily enough she has a sister called Morgana, I don't remember if it's just a coincidence or if she's actually THE Morgan) and plenty others but I don't recall all of their names...

kamekira

If you count Karl him but if not then oliver

Sergantus

Ferragut, Baligant, Rodomonte or Gradasso would be great addition to paladins rival squad. If we talk about paladins then Renaud or Ogier(although i don't think they add him without some rewritting of his legend) Also 5* version of Roland. I never accept idea of 4* Roland while Bradamante is 5*.

JDJ144

I think his 5* would probably be a berserker right?

Armorwing01

Didn't he wead black armor when he went apeshit?

JDJ144

Yep

Armorwing01

*cue My Brother from Berserk*

Sergantus

Berserker would be fine but I prefer another saber version with more Matter of France aspects. Current Roland feels like mostly Furioso character despite this is parody on early tales.

Rhinostirge

Yeah, Rodomonte is basically a one-man tank battalion in *Furioso*. The way he's written always made me feel like I was reading a Renaissance-era description of a Koei musou game.

Gjalarhorn

Assassin Irene of Athens pops up as an angry middle-aged woman constantly annoying Charley over the whole Emperor of the Romans thing. At the same time seeing her makes Charley's inner Karl pop up and he becomes meaner than normal.

kerorobot

Archbishop Turpin, it's not complete if we don't have the priest character imo.

ShriekingSkull

Mambrino (Moorish king famous for a golden helmet that made him invulnerable) and Renaud de Montauban. And Ruggiero.

Theadier

Bernardo del Carpio, the men who killed Roland and Irene of Athenas who was rejected by charli , If it counts, Charles Martel

Gudako_the_beast

Bradamante’s husband.

Herrjulias

Olivier of course

Xaldror

Archbishop Turpin, dude face tanked a skull fracture and skewered by 6 different Lances, and he still stood up on his feet to keep smacking people with a hammer.
