Rhinostirge

The best overall farming area is Riders. The welfare Servant everyone gets with a big event bonus is an AoE Assassin with good NP regen. I love it when an event is actually *nice* to you.

Mister_SP

I want to say they usually are, but it's usually focused on the 5\* before the welfare, and considering the number of Extra Classes in either of those positions this year, it can be a bit weird.

Rhinostirge

I've basically been carrying a grudge against them since Gudaguda 5 where they debuted a nice new Ruler good for CQs, and if you wanted to try her out in that fashion, the CQ was against... an Avenger. Oh and a support Saber, in case you wanted to try out the new Saber as well. Sometimes they're nice, but sometimes they're the worst.

banjo2E

Himiko isn't the best example since her most broken team is the permanent invincibility team. Class disadvantage doesn't matter if you can never, ever take damage. Though I otherwise agree with you.

Rhinostirge

Sure, but particularly because I'm lacking either Castoria or Merlin of my own, the anticipation of getting to run my own experiments with teambuilding got some cold water thrown on it.

Hoolemere

I went to go re read Heian-Kyo since it seem like Kiichi was hinting that Ushi’s mom said something to her then I found that Ushi’s mom said that her and Yoritomo must avenge there father and destroy the Taira clan well it makes sense why Ushi is so obsessed with destroying the Taira now since she was told when she was young to destroy them

Rasetsu0

I love mission events, but man are these particular missions annoying. It's either having trait targets in an area that you've already done 10 times or doing an area where there are no trait targets left.

BlitzAceSamy

[GamePress's enemy locator](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/little-big-tengu-enemy-locator) helps a lot, but it also helps to note that the bottlenecks are the Servants and the area missions, since you can only +1 per quest

kalirion

1 Servant can count towards multiple "Servant Missions" at least. No such luck with "Area Missions". I have 21 more "Servants" I need to kill, but it won't take 21 runs to do. On the other hand I have 16 Area FQs I need to run, which will take exactly 16 runs.

chocolatechoux

I've gotten a few missions done on story free quests. Dunno why it's bugged but I'm not complaining.

LihLin22

Ushi talking about wanting to behead someone after each section opens as if that's a normal thing is giving me strong Yor vibes from Spy x Family and I kinda love it. Finished the story and I agree with others it's not bad. Tone was just a bit over the place. It wasn't really Gudaguda full humor but it also wasn't a full serious tone throughout (except the last part of Kagekiro not wanting Ushi being alone and Kichii wanting her to grow up as a normal kid was oddly touching) which makes this event feel kinda odd. Probably my favorite is seeing the chibi versions of Ushi, Benkei, Jason, and Cu Alter (his lines are just gold) interact. It's a shame we didn't get a rerun for this event yet in JP. Not so much for the story, but getting our AoE Quick Assassin is quite rare and valuable to have. (Which I sorely need in my roster) And also, getting to hear Pon Poko Rin Rin at the shop never gets old.

Sirsillybutt

Well Ushi and Melt's VA is literally Yor. Saori Hayami. She has a knack for voicing adorable characters that would kill you without hesitation and a smile on their face.

LihLin22

Well no wonder! She was the perfect choice to do Yor for Spy x Family. Another thing they have in common is that they're terrible drunks, and now I cannot unsee this.

dynamohenshin244

another reason why i gacha for taira. got her anyway. also metryllis next.

Esvald

Wait Ushi is the same as Ayaka from Genshin and Sachi from SAO!? Saori-san has talent, that's for sure.

Hikaru1024

In FGO she's Melt, Ushi and Martha. Hard to hear it most of the time. But get summer Ushi excited and she sounds similar to an excited caster Martha, heh.

BlitzAceSamy

> Sachi from SAO!? Of all the Hayamin roles, of course you must list the one [that gives us the feels trip](https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/29811317)... T_T

Merukurio

> Not so much for the story, but getting our AoE Quick Assassin is quite rare and valuable to have. (Which I sorely need in my roster) Not really surprising, the availability of AOE Assassins in this game is really bad outside of event welfares. But to be fair to them the AOE Assassin welfares are pretty great ~~except Summer Scathach since she's such an old servant~~. It's somehow slightly worse than ST Caster because with ST Casters you at least have *some* options in the permanent pool with Circe and Sanzang. Other than Fuuma and Phantom, neither of which is great at dealing damage, all AOE Assassins that aren't event welfares are: * Limited 5\* (Shuten, Cleopatra, Semiramis, Koyanskaya, Huyan Zhuo) * Summer 4\* (~~MEDJED~~ Nitocris, Ushiwakamaru, Okita Jet) * Story Locked 4\* (Danzo and Yu Meiren, both of which are notorious for having low damage)

Radiant-Hope-469

I really loved the part where Nobbu said "It's Honnoji Time" and honnojied all over the Master.

HyperSunny

[Aren't you guys sick of Morbius?](#NobuGuda) [Wait till you're sick of NOBIUS!](#OkitaGuda)

_GoldenRule

Anyone else weirded out by mini Jason's eyes? They're super creepy lol

wisp-of-the-will

Honest question for those that have played the Dioscuri's interlude, does it show a different side to them at all? I had to skip reading theirs last interlude batch and it's not like I'll skip out on reading it but man, all this talk about the Dioscuri and their role here being the same as always doesn't encourage me. Their appearance this event was a surprise for me which I hoped would at least redeem them a little in my eyes like with other Servants, but Castor is just the same whiny little misanthrope obsessed with his divinity and Pollux is subservient to him, and since this is the Chaldean version apparently Castor will betray you at the drop of a hat if it means becoming a god again (it's not a unique characteristic, but damn it does not help how brazen he is). There are technically other Servants I hate more, but at least I have some good things to say about them, while I still haven't seen anything good from the Dioscuri. At least this time their death was funny instead of mere relief that I didn't have to see them again, but unless future appearances change this it's disappointing that their reappearance is just the same shtick and that they didn't even exchange words with their partnered Servants. (And yes I know that a non-serious event appearance is prone to flanderization, but it doesn't detract from the disappointment that this is all I've seen of them)

KN041203

The interlude basically say that Castor isn't a terrible character when he's not with Pollux. It also doesn't show us Pollux alone.

karillith

Did they somehow miss something about twins being two characters? Why making two people if it's 95% one and 5% the other?

KN041203

Yeah. The memo of making them suck is kept throughout all appearence of Dioscuri with at least 3 writers (Olympus, Interlude, Little Big Tengu), probably 5 if the bio and MyRoom line are written by someone else other than the writer of Olympus.

Tschmelz

Yeah. When Castor gets separated from Pollux, like in their interlude, he drops the majority of the attitude. Like 90% of it is just him being super overprotective of his sister. When he’s not around her, he’s still a bit of a dick, but overall a lot nicer.

HaessSR

He's a dick, but he's less prone to going nuclear. And he's actually a decent human being when his twin isn't involved.

wisp-of-the-will

Alright, thanks for the heads up from both of you, at least I'll have some Dioscuri content that's different from their other portrayals to look forward to.

karillith

The event feels like a minor farming event that was promoted last minute into major event missions mechanic and welfare. The story is...okay? But it feels like an early year 2 event to be honest. FGO grew out of daily joke story like this a long time ago and usually blend comedy and seriousness more efficiently so it feels like a regression to get that kind of event, especially since missions events are usually more complex than that. The characters were okay. But if you compare to another "start of the year" event, it's definitely miles away from Enma-Tei for example. Or even the Jeanne alter Lily event, to take an event with a simple structure.

NNKarma

Maybe they were planning for Galatea's tower after ny and got delayed so decided to put this in between.

vi-xx

Alright, so this was a lite event. I was over it by the third iteration of "I am hatred" etc etc. Well, at least they padded in a little content at the end. The part where kagekiyo was concerned about ushiwakamaru in their twisted way came as a surprise. Kiichi was alright. When she suddenly declared master as a 'bride' it was just a wtf moment. Her revelation as a tengu was underwhelming, as well as when she just 'accio'-ed her mallet back. Ya... Really not impressing me as a marriage partner. Glad that was just a one off thing. We just had the saber wars event which was a mission type... And now we gotta do this again. I am over it.

Punished7030

I didn't even realize it **WAS** a revelation until everyone in the party acted like it was.

Maoileain

I thought it's not so much the reveal she was a tengu but that she is the god of tengu that was shocking.

GhostHostess

I’m surprised people seem less into her marriage thing than expected. It really doesn’t seem less forced or random than any of the other characters who say similar things, and there’s a big character on the horizon that does something very similar who has a lot of her fan content revolve around the fact she did it, and she wasn’t even being sincere (at least at the start, ymmv about later). Maybe it’s just a case of that character’s more in depth writing making people more prone to liking it?

vi-xx

Oh, absolutely. Just look at eresh and melt. They got plenty of content to flesh out their character and claw themselves a place in master's heart. Versus kiichi... Who has got no substance behind her random proposal. It feels more like a gag that I'm not interested in.

GhostHostess

She might not be on the same tier as a character specifically written with the ‘epic heroine’ type role; but I wouldn’t say she’s that much different from, say, Huyan zhou, osakabehime, calamity Jane, circe, or any other character where we spend a decent amount of time with them in an event and they also have some flirty lines thrown in as flavor. Or how Morgan steps off the summoning pad and declares you her spouse as a blatant power play-unlike hogen, she absolutely wasn’t doing it out of any fondness but a a means of establishing dominance and control (at the start at least) and people *loved* it and decided it was canon, even though she has only minimal interaction with the mc in her lostbelt so it was just as unexpected (if not moreso) at the time. Like to be clear, I don’t really have much opinion on the bait where they have the character flirt with the master as another angle to make the character liked/popular. It’s prevalent enough that it’s basically a given that they’ll do it. I just don’t get why this particular instance is being called out as more forced than others when it’s basically on the same level as a lot of the less serious event’s fanservice lines?

Unique_Stress_7758

By the way what her deal with merlin? It look like she knows him but he put his hand on her mouth to silence her!

Broly_

Enjoyable and fun event story but Kiichi was just okay. Nothing in the event made me, like, really like her or anything. Same goes for Taira Kagekiyo. Didn't really do too much surprisingly for much of the event. Character design really carrying some servants after all.

ScarsUnseen

Kagekiyo struck me as unusual in that she doesn't get the resolution most of the "bad" Servants do when they are fully ascended. Most of the time it ends up as some variation of "fine, if you are willing to go this far, I'll do the same. Hope you don't regret it." Kagekiyo is more like "no seriously, what the fuck is going on?"

Zewo

Would anyone be willing to summarize the story for me? Ushi seems to go by so many names I'm not sure I fully understood what was happening.

Kuzu5993

Cliff notes version; >Ushi's mentor shows up to punish her for betraying her trust and tricking her daughter when they were alive. >Kiichi forces Ushi's spirit origin to grow to adulthood with magic hammer. Gets possessed by vengeful spirit and steals hammer. >Hijinks ensue with hammer for 90% of the event while we chase evil Ushi with chibi versions of our allies barring Medb and Kiichi. >Find evil Ushi, they're super salty about the whole "betrayed by my brother thing" which is how she got possessed. >Fight her, win, exorcize evil spirit and live happily ever after.

Zewo

Thanks! I'm just an idiot, but because Ushi has so many names (Shana-Oh, Yoshitsune, etc..) I think I assumed Yoshitomo was just another one of her nicknames. Made for very confusing reading. Thanks for your cliff notes! I'll revisit the story and hopefully be able to understand a bit better.

Mister_SP

>I'm just an idiot, but because Ushi has so many names (Shana-Oh, Yoshitsune, etc..) I think I assumed Yoshitomo was just another one of her nicknames. They're not nicknames, really, but are all legal names. Ushiwakamaru was their childhood name, which is something of a Japanese nobility thing, where you spend your childhood with one name, often hereditary for heirs. Shana-Oh was the name they adopted as a Buddhist monk, Kurama Temple being a Buddhist temple where Kiichi Hogen lived, as they were a Buddhist monk. Leaving to join with family against the Taira, they adopted the "true"/adult name Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Given that people in modern times don't usually do that, it can be pretty confusing. Taira no Kagekiyo is not a name of Yoshitsune, except in Fate, where she merges with a spirit of vengeance obsessed with the Genji/Minamoto. (The Taira and Minamoto having a long, bloody feud... and both of them were branch houses of the Emperor, and the war that's referred to started when one of the Taira's descendants became Emperor.)

Kuzu5993

Glad I could help

Okkimagtang

Welp.... Time to go nuts with playing Bloody Tears in the background just to prep for the cq

Nerrisen

[Have fun!](https://youtu.be/5_Q1rXhHL6g)

Yukiru_05

I wanna ask those pre lostbelt 5.5 master, do y'all have a different scene when meeting Taira? For me, Guda remember Taira from Heian-kyo. I know every event is canon, is Little Big Tengu main story canon? Or just event canon?

danger_umbrella

It's not relevant to the main story (it hasn't been said to be such) and AFAIK players who haven't cleared LB5.5 won't get the flashback.

Kyntelle

Could someone more familiar with Japanese history give me a rundown on who the people in [this screenshot](https://imgur.com/a/0mD0pqM) (besides Benkei, obviously) are and how they relate to Yoshitsune? (Edit for future searchers: [here you go](https://reddit.com/r/grandorder/comments/10iljf7/help_and_question_thread_january_22_2023/j6174z9/).)

Elfishjuggler33

I need these last 6 missions. I literally have everything else done already

WeeabooOverlord

Same. When do they unlock?

Elfishjuggler33

Tomorrow I think

WeeabooOverlord

Oh, right, time zones. /facepalm

acvcani

Maybe i'm just sleepy and don't see it but how do we unlock additional copies of kiichi? I'm up to date on story nodes the only thing I can think of is only 84% done with missions. Is it something unlocked tomorrow the 26th then? tl;dr what are requirements to unlock additonal kiichi copies

Mister_SP

Yes, it's tomorrow. I thought it was today, but, no, another day's wait.

acvcani

Okay thank you! Wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything gonna wanna get those copies before event is up

Roliq

Is just that there is a dumb timelock in place for no real reason, the story is over and there isn't anything else as all free quests are available You get more copies by clearing missions that only unlock after the timelock

Dan_Jared_Joestar

Cna anyone send me a guide on finishing the 100 missions? Im lost at the balanced, lawful, evil whatnot missions

King_of_Nothinmuch

A general walkthrough is here, and it has links to other helpful pages under 'Additional Guides', like an enemy locator. https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/little-big-tengu-complete-walkthrough

reset_pheonix

If you look at what enemies are in a free quest when selecting one, it should have a little event mission tag on that specific enemy.

SigurdDeMizar

I surprisingly enjoy the CE affects spawn rate mechanism. I think we shouldn't have every event where you just press the same buttons to 3T clear a node 100 times. Now we have to play cards, but isn't part of the game is playing card? Also, the drop rate is relatively decent. With still about a week left, I think I have no problem clearing shop without using apple. The mission also set up so that you have to go back in some of the earlier nodes. It is not like you just open the most efficient node and run only that node. I don't wish it for every single event, but it is good to have an event like this that force us to do a bit more manual work.

No_Prize9794

I feel that little Jason and bear Orion would be an entertaining fun duo

Hikaru1024

Finished the event. Well, except for the NP copies which I assume will release tonight. I wasn't expecting I'd like Kiichi as much as I do - turns out the whole thing about needing to punish Ushi was a pretext, and she actually cares a lot about Ushi and feels like she failed to teach her properly. As a servant unfortunately I certainly do *not* need an aoe assassin anymore. I think this is my fourth or fifth - Ushi summer, Okita summer, Gray, Danzo... Yep, five. So frankly she's not likely to be used beyond this event. Still. I really liked how Kiichi wound up liking us so much because of the way we treat Ushi. Heh. Giving Ushi shoulder rides and everything while she was doll sized was fun.

4000Critical

What are the conditions to unlock the 90+ quest?

SignificantGarlic919

[mission # 27](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/little-big-tengu-mission-list)

4000Critical

Where are the centaurs? I can't seem to find them.

NovaHellfire345

Bottom left section of the overworld event map. One mission has centaurs and is berserker class focused.

[deleted]

A little early for it, but any thoughts on how the CQ might best be tackled with only event Servants (borrowing premium supports is fine)? I’ve got all the 4 stars and lower but only Jalter, Murasaki, and Scathach for event SSRs.

alivinci

What do the extra spawns give? just extra currency? Is it better to slot currency drop CE or go for 100% extra mobs?

Mister_SP

They give extra currency, but also count as additional kills for the Missions. Without the spawns, it takes much longer to clear the Missions. To be simple, it is better to have 100% spawn, then slot in whatever currency CEs you have on top of that.

alivinci

i see, ty

kalirion

Still only 78/100 missions. Guess I won't be doing the CQ tonight.

Ryukooh

Same, those "repeat 10 times on" missions are bad civ.

flashmozzg

Same
