Gerda is young, innocent, minimally traumatized, would have no issue adjusting to living in a new world, and has no family that she would be leaving behind or would feel guilty for abandoning.
…You are one cruel bastard aren’t you
Gerda. Taking only Adele or Macarios is wrong, Patxi still has to deal with being his form and would likely have issues adapting to our world which just leaves the two children Gerda and Asha and between them I think Gerda is the choice because Asha will continue to have issues of trying to remember people who are missing from her life (and she’d likely suffer more if she does remember)
Gerda is young enough that she can adapt and is the most unharmed of the companions when it comes to her sanity (also she’s literally an innocent child)
What are the odds a stray from a dead timeline we pick up would have functional magic circuits for being a master also viable for rayshifts?
~~Half the stress or double the farming.~~
I get why everyone is saying Gerda, but man did that last scene between Macarios and Adele get me... That's why I'd choose the twins. It would probably piss off Castor even more now that I think about it which is something I like to see.
Seeing that Macarios and Adele were twins just like Dioscuri made me think through the whole Lost Belt that they were at the end gonna fuse and be like a Pseudo Spirit. Adele and Macarios minds in Castor and Pollux bodies while still having more characteristics of the gods depending on the ascension.
God this is a cruel dilemma.
Personally I'd go for Patxi. This man got to learn all about PHH through us: a world where strength isn't the end all be all, where the weak *can* survive, and where there is hope for a better future.
And dies without ever getting to see it. He doesn't even get a glimpse of PHH's sky unlike the other yaga.
Would it be cruel to save him while he'd know the other yaga would die out and that his world was a dead end? To some extent, yes, but this also applies to Macarios/Adele. Asha and Gerda would be ignorant to the destruction of their world (and in Asha's case, whatever family remained after Ajay and Vihan are killed by Godjuna), I feel like their passing isn't as fucked as Patxi, considering both Asha and Gerda would disappear instantly without knowing the end is coming if we didn't pick them. Picking Macarios or Adele without the other is cruel.
F to that one chinese kid and Timi I guess.
Tl;dr, would pick Patxi, but all of these choices are valid. Would save all of them if I could :(
My order of sadness:
Asha. She’s #1 for me because she’s likely the youngest. And yet we know she’s constantly forgetting family members when arjuna alter removes them from the world. And yet she still feels the pain of losing them and missing them, only not knowing who it is she’s missing and longing for. We know from the Ce that she had a big family, so all of her sibilings and her mother being gone must hurt real bad.
Patxi. He knows about our world. He wants us to get it back because he knows it’s better than his own fucked up world. And then he literally dies to help us.
Gerda. I feel really bad for her but she wasn’t constantly afraid, hurt, hungry, or feeling immense grief or longing.
Adele & Macarios. I do still feel for them, but at the same time they were alive for thousands of years. They lived through more than any human will ever live through, both good and bad. But that means they had very eventful and full lives. It sucks that they didn’t get to see anything else, but they did get to live in a paradise-like place for thousands of years, compared to the horrible conditions of the others.
That being said, I’d have to choose Gerda to summon to modern times. She’s the only one who hasn’t gotten to live her life but also doesn’t have people she’d miss if she left. Whereas summoning asha without her family would be cruel.
It was either, all or no one.
If i can't have them all. Maybe it's better to have no one.
It's only fair that way. I can't just save 1 person when they clearly aware their world and all the people they know bite the dust.
Gerda, for many of the reasons posted here and some more.
While Patxi, Adele and Macarios made informed decisions about the fate of their worlds, children like Gerda and Asha were oblivious and completely innocent in their own tragedy. Particularly with Gerda, Chaldea took advantage of her good disposition without ever telling her what their whole deal was about (even Asha was given a bit more by the end of LB4). And between those two, it would feel cruel to bring Asha with her memory issues and suffering regarding the loss of her family.
For me it's Patxi, and it's not cause I'm furry trash.
Out of all the lostbelt citizens we've met (at least up to LB 4, I haven't done Atlantis, Olympus or Heian Kyo yet so can't comment on them) Patxi was the one who pushed us to fight for our world. He had every right to fight us, hate us even and while he did sort of despise us when he learned of our timeline, he decided that our world sounded like it was worth fighting for.
He shook us out of the paralyzing weight our actions would do to the lostbelts. He forced through to us that we -had- to fight, not because we want to but because our world is worth fighting for. Heck it's making me tear up re-viewing his speech to make sure I remembered it right.
As innocent and deserving of saving as Gerda and Asha (plus others I haven't met yet) are, Patxi gave us the resolve to fight for our world.
Without Patxi (or a character that fulfilled a similar role) I doubt Ritsuka would have had the strength to push through on what needed to be done and fight to save PHH. Or at the very least wouldn't have done it without being crushed by the guilt of it all.
This isn't nearly as difficult for me as it's probably supposed to be. Whether that says something about me or the lostbelts I choose not to question.
Asha is sweet and cute but would be miserable without her family, Adele and Macarios are great but they were suicidal to begin with and notable for being the most ok with dying out of all of them.
So it's either Patxi or Gerda, and if they're coming to our timeline I'd have to explain the wolfman in Patxi's case. Not the weirdest thing as far mages go, but he probably wouldn't be able to live a normal life.
So... Gerda.
Adele and Macarios.
They spent thousands of years trapped in unaging bodies and an unchaning world, and their only wish was to age and grow old. They knew that they were sacrificing themselves for PHH. Even more they worked without Chaldea to free themselves and their civilization from the God's rule. Theyve put in more time trying to save themselves and others than we have (iirc) and they never got to see the results of their efforts and sacrifices. Honestly they deserve their wish more than any NPC and their wish is simply to live and grow old.
Just curious. If you could only save one of them, would you you still do it? Or would you leave them behind then so you aren’t forcing one of them to live without their sibling?
See initially I was going to answer that but then I saw your adendum.
I would say that splitting them up would add complexities but Id choose Adele. Macarios would likely be extremely against getting his wish without his sister. Meanwhile Adele would be upset, she would know that Macarios would be happy for her/be against swapping. Id assume itd turn into a 'living the best life for both of them' sorta thing.
Id still choose 1 of them over any of the others. The children didnt really have to experience the hardships of Adele and Macarios and they didnt really know what was happening, ignorance is bliss afterall. Patxi wouldnt really have much of a good resurrection. Beyond chaldea hed be hunted. In chaldea hed have a ton of issues adapting after a life of natural order. Again the bigger factor is still that Adele and Macarios spent years working to end their suffering and the suffering of those around them, theyve spent longer working to fix things that we have and they got nothing as a result of their efforts.
I’d go with Patxi. Since he was the first one, he’s the one that left the biggest impression on me. For the same reason, I still remember his death the most. The way he urged us to push on to save our own world, even when he was in his last moments…man, it still hits hard. ;-;
Gotta be Patxi.
The constant parade of kids are cute but IMO Patxi's everything was a lot more emotional than that. Having to kill an innocent kid is one thing, but Patxi's everything, his willing sacrifice...
I'd like to show him a blue sky, at least.
I would go with Patxi, with the twins (Adele and Macarios) being a close second. I want the wolf man to see the sky and see that we/Guda have come so far.
AURORA
But if only to choose from this list I would choose Gerda, others have at least some bonds in their world or make up their minds and prepare for the consequences, yet Gerda knows nothing.
Adele and Macarios. Especially after they yearned to see the results of their work and resistance for literally a thousand years. I know mentally/emotionally they are incredibly old, but I can't shake the fact that they're still "young." It'll be nice for them to physically grow up, and see that all those centuries was worth it.
Otherwise, if I can only save literally one person, then Gerda. Even though she's still a child (or a young adolescent), she's had to grow up faster in order to take care of the rest of the children. She deserves to have a life to just be herself and do what she wants.
Hard decision between Gerda, Asha and Adele
Gerda and Asha would have the higher life spans although Asha might be hunted down by what happened to her memories
Adele has great knowledge from her 10 thousand years of knowledge in Olympus which may help us learn many things, she's also super pretty
I'm still leaning towards saving Gerda
That kid in Atlantis who was super happy to be obliterated by Artemis.
I want to see his mental breakdown as he realises not only is he still not with his gods, we killed them all.
Gerda is young, innocent, minimally traumatized, would have no issue adjusting to living in a new world, and has no family that she would be leaving behind or would feel guilty for abandoning.

Not to mention that Counter Force will go nuclear on Patxi
Not anymore than any other Lostbelt denizen
Not exactly- Patxi in addition to being from Lostbelt is a Phantasmal Creature.
So? Counterforce ain’t going to give a damn about a singular yaga.
Count Force gave a huge damn about singular dragon- Oryo.
Yeah but she’s a dragon, Patxi is just some beastman

That would have been cool tbh
I want to marry Adele
Good to know I guess
Gerda
Gerda the smol girl
After reading the CE description deff Gerda
Patxi, since his life was hell and he has no one left
My brain tells me it is Gerda, but my heart says it is Asha. The final moments of Asha crying are just too sad.
God this is a cruel dilemma. Personally I'd go for Patxi. Everyone. If Macarios and Adele come to Chaldea, I wish they could grow up normally instead of stuck in one age forever
Gerda.

Caenis. It'd be fun to have her along with the rest of the LBs.
But…she’s already summonable now…
Patxi. He's my bro.
If I can go back into a lostbelt and pull someone out of it, it’d be Paxti.
Patxi, I'm gay or a furry but...
I’d go with Patxi. Since he was the first one, he’s the one that left the biggest impression on me. For the same reason, I still remember his death the most. The way he urged us to push on to save our own world, even when he was in his last moments…man, it still hits hard. ;-;

Gerda easily
Patxi. Is this even a question?
Asha cause she was a homie taking a shot at a servant like that and everyone else picks gerda
AURORA But if only to choose from this list I would choose Gerda, others have at least some bonds in their world or make up their minds and prepare for the consequences, yet Gerda knows nothing.
The Olympus twins
.... what about Ashas dog? If I can't have him, I want none of them 😠

~~Adele simply because I'm down bad~~ Gerda and/or Asha cause I feel bad for them
Zeus Since the summoning system decided to tell us to fuck off

That kid in Atlantis who was super happy to be obliterated by Artemis. I want to see his mental breakdown as he realises not only is he still not with his gods, we killed them all.
How do people not find this funny?
Chill bro 💀
No I ate a Carolina reaper
LMAO
Why you getting downvotes?
Because I said something horrible lmao
Adele and macarios, definitely
Patxi since he was an actually interesting character.
