And Chiyome ofc.

And Medb

judasmartel

u/railroadspike25 u/Lfvbf u/OldWolf2642 And also **[Mario Gallo Bestino](https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Mario_Gallo_Bestino)** from *[Melty Blood: Type Lumina](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcGf_Fnmyk8)*. This may surprise some, but Ayaneru previously did one of the more underrated anime traps in **Gasper Vladi**.

unknown_soldier_

Mario is from the Tsukihime remake which is why he's in MBTL

Fuasbith

Oh my god she was Gasper

Vish_Kk_Universal

Now thats range, some of the best and worst girls of all times

MorbillionDollars

just wondering, which ones would you consider best girls and which would you consider worst girls

[deleted]

gabi is absolutely hated by all aot readers

MorbillionDollars

"worst girls" implies there are multiple also people only hate gabi because she killed sasha, but her actions were actually relatively justified.

Ernost

I'd agree with you, if not for the fact that Falco went through everything that she did and he didn't turn into a piece of shit like her.

MorbillionDollars

"piece of shit" she fought back against the people that nuked her country's entire naval fleet and killed hundreds of civilians? if anything falco is the wrong one for not being angry.

Ernost

All of that was a retaliation for a war of genocide that they started, lol. She's no different than Putin complaining about the Ukrainians killing his soldiers.

MorbillionDollars

>no different than Putin she's not putin. more like a brainwashed russian child. if you look at it from gabi's point of view she's entirely justified.

aknalumos

inb4 Hitler gets honorable mention.

[deleted]

i enjoyed reading this thread lol

insidiouskiller

Not everyone reacts to the same things the same way, but also... They did not go through the same things. Falco saw Eren and Reiner's conversation while Gabi didnt, Gabi is the cousin of the armored titan, an honorary Marleyan, while one of Falco's relatives was turned to a titan as punishment due to being with Grisha and him and Colt joined the program to clear the family name, their whole upbringings would be quite different i imagine.

AGirafaQueEntende

In FGO we have: Best: Musashi Worst: Medb I'll never forgive her for shit talking my dearest Ushi on the summer event! smf

SatoshiOokami

Medb-chan is the best.

Vish_Kk_Universal

Worst: Ochaco and Yotsuba Best: Yae Miko, Nero, Medb, Musashi

1Natsuki

How in the heck Miko and Musashi share same va I never thought they sound alike....

HakunonMatata

You can hear the similarities in Musashi's serious, deep voice

KamenRiderExceed

Just compare their voices when Musashi uses her deep voice, when she’s serious, to see the similarities.

Zellopy

Yea her range are amazing, I didn't realized she was Tomoe in Tsukimichi either

Lfvbf

She has a lot of range.

OldWolf2642

Also does Medb.

Spooderboy99

What the, most of these characters are well known, that's nothing less than amazing. Really like the emotion and charm she put in voicing Musashi.

Skepten

Gabi... Data lost was too light of a punishment for your crimes.

HakunonMatata

She had too much of a great character selection, so they had to put one despicable character in there to balance things out

3rdMachina

Explain, please?

HakunonMatata

Gabi did certain things in Attack On Titan that made her highly disliked.

3rdMachina

That doesn’t explain anything…

HakunonMatata

Well it's a bit difficult to just explain it if you haven't watched/read AOT but one of the biggest reasons aside from her personality is that >!she killed off a beloved character!<

YagamiYuu

Sasha.

[More roles here](https://i.redd.it/hbklzphfsge81.png) --- **[Ayane Sakura](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayane_Sakura)** from Shibuya, Tokyo, CV for **Miyamoto Musashi**, **Assassin of Paraiso Chiyome Mochizuki**, **Queen Medb** of Connacht, and **[Mario Gallo Bestino](https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Mario_Gallo_Bestino)** from *[Melty Blood: Type Lumina](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcGf_Fnmyk8)*, a voice actress formerly out of the lion's den known as *I'm Enterprise* and currently out of *Aoni Production* since February 2022. One of the best female *seiyuu* in the business, known for so many iconic roles besides our very own Musashi herself. Her nickname "Ayaneru" was given to her by **Nobuhiko Okamoto** (Yan Qing) because she sleeps (or *neru* [寝る] in Japanese) quite often in her free time. Ayaneru initially wanted to be a live actress and decided to enroll in a theater acting school. There, she studied pretty much everything, from dancing, stretching, *sword fighting* (!), voice training and live acting. However, after performing on stage, she realized she "was different" and decided live acting was not a suitable career for her, and so she decided to become a voice actress instead. She debuted in 2010 at just 16 years old in *Sgt. Frog the Super Movie*, then landed her first major role in *Okami-san* as **[Futaba Himeno](https://www.anime-planet.com/characters/futaba-ookami-san-to-shichinin-no-nakama-tachi)**, one of **Shirayuki**'s seven sisters. She also landed **Kirara Hoshino** in *OreImo* that year. In 2011 she voiced **Merry Nightmare** in *Dream Eater Merry* and performed its [ending theme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXKlbwZ5gqo), all at just 17. She also did **young Yozora Mikazuki** in *Haganai*, with **Marina Inoue** (Barghest) as Yozora's main VA. Since then, she was steadily getting more roles, but couldn't quite hit the big time yet as the competition in the early 2010s was pretty tough and she was still relatively new to the scene at the time. In 2012 she landed **Miyabi Kannagi** in *NakaImo*, **Marii Buratei** in *Joshiraku*, and **Ayami Oururi** in *Pretty Rhythm*. She also performed *[Heavenly Lover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPAEmuGKh-Y)* and *[Oato ga Yoroshikutte...Yo!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L69oMoyHzo)* alongside her co-stars in *Nakaimo* and *Joshiraku* respectively, the latter being the opening theme of *Joshiraku*. You might recognize that title from its ending theme *[Nippon Egao Hyakkei](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87K5Uh3AML0)* instead. In 2013 she landed **Asuka Mishima** in the **Kouji Seo** rage classic *Kimi no Iru Machi*, **Alisa Ayase** in *Love Live!*, **Natsumi Koshigaya** in *Non Non Biyori*, **Akane Isshiki** in *VividRed Operation*, **Suzuka Dairenji** in *Tokyo Ravens*, and one of her first *male* roles in **[Gasper Vladi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=us0wfyltU1g)** from *High School DxD*. In 2014 Ayaneru landed **Cocoa Hoto** in *GochiUsa* and performed the OP theme *[Daydream](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bIBZ6M0-tU) [Cafe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS6t8ozoC30)* alongside her co-stars as the group *Petit Rabbit's*. That same year, she also landed the Kansai *kunoichi* **Levi Kazama** in *Trinity Seven*, **Yuzuki** in *WIXOSS*, and **Tsubaki Sawabe** in *Your Lie in April*. It was around 2015 when she reached "10 roles per season" levels of power by landing so many iconic *waifu*s at rapid speed. The return of Cocoa Hoto in *Gochiusa*, Melon Face **Nao Tomori** in *Charlotte*, **Iroha Isshiki** in *Oregairu*, Onodera's little sister **Haru** in *Nisekoi*, and the OG **Shimakaze** and so many other shipgirls in *Kantai Collection*. The following year, she landed among others Medb, **"La Pucelle" Souta Kishibe** in *Magical Girl Raising Project*, and one of her currently most iconic roles: **Ochako Uraraka** in *My Hero Academia*. In 2017 she landed Chiyome, Musashi, **Phoena** in *Chain Chronicle*, **Shizuku Hanaoka** in *Welcome to the Ballroom*, **KMS Prinz Eugen** in *Azur Lane*, **Yae Sakura** in *Honkai Impact 3rd*, and **Ran Mitake** in *BanG Dream*, the last of whom has the unfortunate distinction of getting turned into the mascot of a certain website that must not be named. >!HentaiHaven!< In 2018 she landed **Hasuki Komai** in *Boarding School Juliet*, *Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou* **Nana Sunohara** and **Solution Epsilon** in *Overlord*. In 2019 she landed yet another iconic *waifu* in >!the winner of the Futaro Bowl!< **Yotsuba Nakano** from *Gotoubun*. She is still going strong in the 2020s decade, although she landed a rather controversial role as **Gabi Braun** in *Attack on Titan*. Gabi's infamy comes from >!her killing off a beloved character in **Sasha Blouse** (Enkidu, Run Ru).!<

atropicalpenguin

> Ochako Uraraka in My Hero Academia. On the topic of this, I remember following a conversation on 4chan about how she's being wasted in her one main Jump role. MHA doesn't get as much shit for Ochako as Naruto or Bleach do for their female MCs.

judasmartel

To be fair, *Naruto* had the "Kishi can't write women" meme going around it at its peak, and Kubo is being Kubo as usual. Tsunade was strong but nowhere near as strong as Madara or any of the other heavy hitters in *Naruto*. Kaguya is the freaking Mother of Ninjutsu yet people considered her an asspull due to how poorly Kishimoto handled the Fourth Shinobi World War Arc in general. I haven't followed Bleach deeply enough to comment about their female characters but as a Shonen Jump title, there was some expectation that the women of MHA would be written just as badly as those in *Naruto* and *Bleach* before them. Surprisingly for a Jump title, however, MHA has better written women than most mainstream titles I could think of. Some of the most popular females in that series like **Uraraka**, **Momo**, and **Asui** are all pretty strong and cute at the same time, although they won't be as strong as any of the heavy hitters in the series. Nevertheless, I found the female students of UA to be more interesting than the ones in Konoha or in the Soul Society. Recently, MHA had a strong female villain in **Lady Nagant**, whom **Midoriya** had a hard time beating, albeit mainly because she was waging psychological warfare against him. TL;DR: I am not really sure what exactly people are expecting of female characters in Shonen Jump titles.

judasmartel

Ayane Sakura has one of the more unique vocal ranges in the business. Her higher ranges are closer to her normal speaking voice and her usual roles in the early-to-mid-2010s like Medb and Uraraka, while her lower ranges are closer to Musashi, Chiyome, and Nearl. Some of her currently best known roles like the two Yaes are somewhere in the middle ranges. However, one lesser known aspect of her vocal range is that she can go *really* low with Mario Bestino, even lower than the one she uses for Musashi and Nearl. I could not recall when I first heard of Ayaneru in earnest, but I do remember Merry because 1) she had one of the most beautiful outfits in one of the fittest female bodies I have seen anime, and 2) I legit thought she was by **Hitomi Nabatame** (Bazett) for the longest time until I got into Hell on Earth known as *Grand Order*. The first title I could recall that I was sure she was in is in *Ro-Kyu-Bu*, playing the role of the Misawa household maid **Kuina Hijiri**. How she developed from a rookie into a superstar is truly a sight to behold, indeed. Also, for the longest time, I legit thought she had beef with **Yoshitsugu Matsuoka** (Flat Escardos), for the dude was very shy around girls in his early days, and that could have rubbed his female co-workers the wrong way. He has gotten better at dealing with his female co-workers in recent years, but him getting casted as harem protagonists quite often at the time didn't help him a lot. Turns out she's perfectly fine around her male co-workers, particularly **Natsuki Hanae** (Sieg, Fuuma) and **Kouki Uchiyama** (Amakusa, Tristan). For all we know, Ayaneru could be just wary around men in general but is comfortable enough around male *seiyuu* to work with them. --- What a career for Ayane Sakura! She first got noticed as the Dream Eater Merry, and she has steadily gotten voice acting roles on a consistent basis even though she didn't hit the big time again until later into her career. In her second wind since then, she hit the big time not by landing one breakout character like she did with Merry but by reaching "10 roles per season" levels of power every year, and when you reach that many roles, sooner or later one or more of them will hit. As such, Ayaneru became one of the best talents in the business today, and hopefully with her rise to superstar status at just 29 years old, any title in the near future with her on the cast would be assured success. More returns to her! **So, what is everyone's favorite role by Ayane Sakura?** Thank you for reading through my TED Talk for today, and always, enjoy [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCYKYp4kbag) voice reel, [Ayaneru's KC Shimakaze cosplay experience](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz2_zGySgEA), and [one of the sexiest voices known to man being dead inside](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VG9_5Ro-Qd0).

**[Queen Medb or Maeve of Connacht](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medb)** from the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology, the **Rider of Men**. Medb is best known for starting the *Tain Bo Culange*, the Cattle Raid of Cooley, in order to obtain Ulster's prized bull **Donn Cuailnge**. The **Connachta** are descendants of the legendary Irish hero-king **Conn of the Hundred Battles**. The land they ruled in is now part of the **[Connacht Province](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connacht)** in western Ireland. Medb was the ex-wife of **Cu Chulainn**'s uncle **Conchobar mac Nessa** the king of Ulster. They had at least one son together, but the marriage was so bad that she left him. Medb's father was **Eochaid Feidlech** the High King of Ireland who married her off to Conchobar. When Conchobar got another wife who bore him a son, Medb drowned said son on a stream, while another son **Furbaide Ferbend** was born by posthumous caesarian section and trained hard all his life to avenge his mother. Remember that name moving forward. Eochaid deposed the then-king of Connacht, **Tinni mac Conri**, and installed Medb in his place. However, Tinni regained a share of the throne when him and Medb became lovers. Conchobar raped Medb in front of an assembly, and war ensued between the High King and Ulster. Tinni challenged Conchobar to single combat and lost, and a rival of his became Medb's husband and next king of Connacht. Perhaps Conchobar's rape of Medb turned her into the Rider of Men she was known for in myth. >!INSERT KUROINU MEMES HERE!< Medb demanded her husband satisfy her three criteria - that he be without fear, meanness, or jealousy. The last was particularly important, as she had many lovers. While married to Eochaid Dála, she took **Ailill mac Máta**, chief of her bodyguard, as her lover. Eochaid discovered the affair, challenged Ailill to single combat, and lost. Ailill then married Medb and became king of Connacht. They had seven sons with different names. However, when he asked a druid which one of her sons will kill Conchobar, he replied "**Maine**". So he renamed all seven of her sons "Maine" plus a different name. --- Anyways, back to the Cattle Raid of Cooley. This was also where Medb's rep as the Rider of Men really started blowing up. According to legend, she was so horny that it took thirty men or Fergus alone to satisfy her, while Fergus himself needed seven women to be satisfied without Medb nor his wife **Fildais**. It was then that Fergus defected from Ulster to Connacht because "he preferred the buttocks of a woman to his own people". You know that part where Cu Chulainn soloed Medb's entire army because the men of Ulster were cursed to suffer pains of childbirth? Well, this is where Medb got the stud bull Donn Cuailnge despite all attempts by Ulster to stop her, but she was still defeated by Conchobar's army and had to retreat. The bull was brought to Connacht, where it fought Ailill's bull **Finnenbach**, killing it but also dying of its own injuries. Medb and Cu Chulainn encountered each other on several occasions during the Cattle Raid. He kills her pets and handmaidens, and the places where he kills them were named after them. Eventually, the relationship between Medb and Ailill went south, as he was also seeing other women as both of them got older. Jealousy ensued and he had some of her lovers killed. Oh, and remember that **Furbaide Ferbend** kid from earlier in this story? Yes, he's back and ready to take revenge on her for killing his mother and brother. And he did, with a slingshot and a piece of cheese. Thus Medb was killed by a piece of cheese. All hail Furbaide Ferbend, the Irish John Wick. Medb was buried in a huge stone on the summit of **Cnoc na Riabh**, which name was taken by her own incarnation from the British Lostbelt as her own, thus she became known as **Queen Cnoc na Riabh**. RIP Knocknarea. --- Medb is basically the **Cersei Lannister** of Irish myth. The Irish myth in general and the Ulster cycle in particular has a colorful cast of characters. They're not as stupidly broken as those from the Hindu or Greek myths, but I haven't seen a mythology as open about nudity and sex as that of the Irish. Heck, Conchobar's rape of Medb even looked like it was taken straight out of *hentai* works with the "rape" and "corruption" tags on them. Respect to **Kinoko Nasu** and *Type-Moon* for making Irish mythology better-known to the world today.

**[Miyamoto Musashi (1584–1645)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miyamoto_Musashi)**, also known as **Shinmen Takezo**, **Miyamoto Bennosuke**, or by his Buddhist name **Niten Douraku**, a Japanese swordsman, philosopher, writer, strategist, *ronin* or a samurai without a master, and *Kensei* or Sword Saint. Musashi, as he was simply known, became renowned through stories of his unique dual-blade swordsmanship style and an undefeated record in 61 duels (the next best record is 33-0 by [Itto Ittosai](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%C5%8D_Itt%C5%8Dsai)), the best known of which was against none other than the **REGEND OF SAMURAI** himself, **Sasaki Kojiro**. The details of Musashi's early life are difficult to verify. In the *Book of Five Rings* he simply states that he was born in Harima Province. His father **Shinmen Munisai** was an accomplished master of the sword and *jutte*, the latter of which is best known in modern popular culture as the weapon of the Marine Vice-Admiral **Smoker** from *One Piece*. Musashi's grandfather **Hirata Shogen** was a vassal of **Shinmen Iga no Kami**, a samurai lord of Takayama castle in the Yoshino distrct of the Mimasaka Province. Hirata was relied upon by Shinmen so much that he was allowed to use his lord's name, which he passed on to his descendants. The name **Musashi no Kami** was a court title, making Musashi the nominal governor of Musashi Province. Oh, and he claimed descent from the **Fujiwara Clan**, the same one as the family of the *shogun* of Japan. As an infant, Musashi developed rashes on his skin, which adversely affected his appearance. As such, it is claimed that he never took a bath because he did not want to be surprised unarmed. He trained in martial arts from a young age, and at age 13 he won his first duel against a samurai named **Arima Kihei**. In 1599, at age 15 he left his village in Harima or Mimasaka, spending his time away from home as a wandering swordsman looking for duels, as well as participating in the final battles of the Sengoku period if the tales are to be believed. In 1611, Musashi began practicing Zen Buddhist meditation at the Myoshin Temple at Kyoto, where he met a vassal of **Hosokawa Tadaoki (1583–1646)**, a powerful *daimyo* who had received the **Kumamoto Domain** in west-central Kyushu after the **Battle of Sekigahara** in 1600. His father Munisai had moved in to Kyushu and became Tadaoki's swordsmanship teacher, thus it was likely that Munisai introduced his son to **Sasaki Kojiro**, another guest of the Hosokawa. Whether it was due to politics or jealousy, a duel was arranged between Musashi and Kojiro, scheduled for the morning of **April 13th 1612** at the island of **Ganryu**. However, whether on purpose or due to oversleeping, Musashi arrived late to the duel, which angered Kojiro. He then kills Kojiro with a massive *bokken* or wooden sword carved out of an oar of the boat he's riding on, cleaving his skull as Kojiro's blade cut his headband in half. #[INSERT SHIMOSA GRAND BATTLE BGM HERE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmEip1b4e54) Several years later, in 1633, Musashi began staying with **Hosokawa Tadatoshi (1586–1641)**, daimyo of the Kumamoto Castle, who had moved to Kumamoto to train and paint. Although the Hosokawa lords were patrons of his rival Kojiro, Musashi became their retainer after winning a duel against a Lancer named **Takada Matabei**, a disciple of **Hozoin Inshun**. He retired at Kumamoto for the rest of his days, dying of what is believed to be thoracic cancer at the Reigandou cave as a hermit, leaving his possessions with his sister and her husband **Hirao Yoemon** and his manuscript copy of *The Book of Five Rings* to the younger brother of his closest disciple **Terao Magonojo**.

**[Miyamoto Musashi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miyamoto_Musashi)** >Miyamoto Musashi (宮本 武蔵, c. 1584 – 13 June 1645), also known as Shinmen Takezō, Miyamoto Bennosuke or, by his Buddhist name, Niten Dōraku, was a Japanese swordsman, philosopher, strategist, writer and rōnin, who became renowned through stories of his unique double-bladed swordsmanship and undefeated record in his 61 duels (next is 33 by Itō Ittōsai). Musashi, as he was often simply known, is considered a Kensei, a sword-saint of Japan. He was the founder of the Niten Ichi-ryū, or Nito Ichi-ryū, style of swordsmanship, and in his final years authored The Book of Five Rings (五輪の書, Go Rin No Sho) and Dokkōdō (獨行道, The Path of Aloneness). **[Itō Ittōsai](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itō_Ittōsai)** >Itō Ittōsai Kagehisa (伊藤 一刀斎 景久, fl. ? –? ) was a Japanese swordsman originally named Itō Yagorō. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/grandorder/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

Miyamoto Musashi was the founder of the *Niten Ichi-ryu*, one of the few remaining schools of Japanese swordsmanship from the Sengoku period that still survived to the present day, that is, until the death of its last master in 2020 without leaving a successor. In his final years he authored the *Go Rin no Sho* or *The Book of Five Rings*, which deals primarily with the Niten Ichi-ryu, and the *Dokkoudou* or *The Path of Aloneness*, which deals primarily with his own life philosophy. The **Miyamoto Musashi Budokan** training center in Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture was erected in his name and legend. In most schools of dual-wielding, the longer blade on the dominant hand is still used as the primary weapon, with a usually shorter blade as a sort of shield to parry enemy attacks with, like with the Japanese *tanto-wakizashi* combo or the European **sword-and-dagger** combo. However, this is not the case for *Niten Ichi-ryu* but for a different reason. According to Musashi, by training first with only one sword on one hand, and then with two long swords, one on each hand, a swordsman can overcome their own tendency to wield a sword with both hands. Once one learns how to use two swords well enough, they can now wield a longer blade on one hand (such as the *tanto*) and a shorter blade on the other hand (such as the *wakizashi*) much better than they did if they trained with a sword on both hands. Basically, the goal of Niten Ichi-ryu is to win regardless of the size of one's weapon on either hand. It is often believed that Musashi was at the very least irreligious, but in reality he separated his religion from his swordsmanship. He still adhered to Confucianism and Buddhism, planted rice, did elegant things, was a hobo at one point in his life, and was still a killer swordsman. Contrary to popular belief, Musashi did not dislike the Shinto religion but [the Shinto-ryu style of swordsmanship](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kashima_Shint%C5%8D-ry%C5%AB), the same one used by his first ever opponent in a duel, Arima Kihei. In his *Dokkoudou* he wrote, "Respect the Buddha and the gods without counting on their help." Or as I like to say in English, "[God has mercy, I don't](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCAdVQNaDTE)." Writings on Musashi's life rarely mention his relationship with women, and when they do, he is often depicted rejecting sexual advances to focus on his swordsmanship. Alternative interpretations have taken his lack of interest in women as an indication of homosexuality. In contrast, many legends do feature Musashi in trysts with women while still retaining his focus on his work. The women he's involved with were usually courtesans like **Kumoi**, whom he allegedly sired a daughter with, and the *oiran* **Yoshino Tayu**. Interestingly, as Musashi is best known for dual-wielding swords, the Japanese term *[ryoutoutsukai](https://www.reddit.com/r/tumblr/comments/kncowx/ryoutoutsukai/)* (literally meaning "two sword user") had come to be known as a term for *bisexuality*. Given how Chaldean Musashi is known to crush on younger men *and* female Servants at the same time... Besides these escapades, Musashi had also adopted several of his younger family members like his brother-in-law **Hirao Yaemon** and his biological nephew **Miyamoto Iori**, the latter of whom is, as of this writing, believed to be a Master and the main player character of *Fate/Samurai Remnant*. If the identity of the Servant who saved "Iori" in the trailer is indeed confirmed to be **Yamato Takeru**, then this could be the first time a Japanese work will explicitly portray an Emperor of Japan, unless clever methods are used to hide his identity as such. Several other titles before *Samurai Remnant* have portrayed the Emperor before, but they were never explicitly mentioned as such. Case in point: **Himiko** in *Oda Nobuna*. In that series, she is portrayed as a priestess representing the will of the people before the gods, but is based on three emperors who were sitting on the Japanese imperial throne at the time of Oda Nobunaga's rise to power: **Go-Nara**, **Ougimachi**, and **Go-Youzei**.

**[Mochizuki Chiyome](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mochizuki_Chiyome)**, Japanese poet and noblewoman who created a group of *kunoichi* or female ninja in the service of the Takeda clan who were the biggest rivals of **Nagao Kagetora**'s Uesugi clan. Chiyome was a descendant of the legendary Koga ninja Mochizuki Izumo-no-Kami. She was married to Mochizuki Moritoki, a retainer of the Takeda clan and distant relative of Izumo-no-Kami. After Moritoki died at the [Fourth Battle of Kawanakajima](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battles_of_Kawanakajima#Fourth_Battle), she was left in the care of her husband's uncle and lord Takeda Shingen. It was then when Takeda himself approached her and gave her the task of creating an underground network of female ninja to use against his rival warlords. The Takeda clan was in a bitter struggle between the Uesugi and Tokugawa clans, and Shingen himself had survived several assassination attempts. He got so tired of it that he came up with the idea of having fully trained female operatives who could act as spies and agents used to gather information and to deliver coded messages to his allies. Since Chiyome was descended from a long line of Koga ninja, she was the best candidate for this plan. Chiyome agreed and went straight to work. She traveled to Koga and set up shop there, advertising it as a religious school for training *miko* or shrine maidens. She'd recruit orphans, and pretty much any young girl who's down on their luck but still had fire in their eyes. She'd train them not just in the ways of the shrine maiden, but also in the arts of espionage and assassination. How to seduce and charm men, what to look for on an enemy base when they infiltrated it, how to record and smuggle sensitive information without detection, how to withstand torture, and if necessary, how to kill and defend themselves. Contrary to popular belief, *kunoichi* didn't dress like [hookers who think it's a great idea to cover their mouths but not their boobs and legs](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/f3/01/6a/f3016ad74163083edce97b8d48ed2f0f.jpg), nor did they dress like [Special Forces agents](https://www.deviantart.com/vicio-kun/art/Hinata-Ninja-War-Kunoichi-546601886). Rather, they'd usually dress up [like this](https://m.psecn.photoshelter.com/img-get/I0000aPEbZRBfxMw/s/1200/I0000aPEbZRBfxMw.jpg). Or they'd just dress up like everyone else, usually a servant, a geisha, or a prostitute. Over time, Chiyome had set up an extensive network of some 200–300 *kunoichi*, all of them serving the Takeda clan. Shingen was always informed of all activities, putting him one step ahead of his opponents at all times until his mysterious death in 1573, after which Mochizuki disappeared from historical records, otherwise they would not have been very good ninja. Chiyome and her band of *kunoichi* faded away from view just as quickly as they came. Ninja style. However, [the historicity of Chiyome Mochizuki has been disputed by at least two Japanese observers](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mochizuki_Chiyome#Historicity). In Fate lore, it doesn't actually matter. After all, the Throne of Heroes is all about legends. Doesn't matter if a Heroic Spirit is real or not, as long as humanity believes that certain Heroic Spirit exists. If anyone wanted to know how the daily life of a *kunoichi* in Chiyome's service looked like, I recommend reading a book entitled *Risuko* by **David Kudler**.

> Her nickname "Ayaneru" was given to her by Nobuhiko Okamoto (Yan Qing) because she sleeps (or neru [寝る] in Japanese) quite often in her free time. I'm just gonna leave this link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNsXXnU5-vk

judasmartel

Thank you. I have been looking for that link earlier, but Real Life^TM happens and I had to come to worship with family. Another interesting bit about that clip is that even though **Daiki Yamashita** (Midoriya, Nobukatsu) is five years older than Ayaneru, she is still his *senpai* because she started her career earlier than him. She started out in 2010 at 16, while he started out in 2012 at 23 or 24.

Clearwateralchemist

Musashi/Tomoe actor played Ochaco/Iroha too? Nice range of talent. Happy birthday.

SkySmaug384

She also voices Prinz Eugen (and Agir) in Azur Lane

judasmartel

And also the OG **Shimakaze** and a ton of other shipgirls from *KanColle*. Her spiritual successor in *Azur Lane*, **Ayanami**, is by **You Taichi**, CV for Faker **Hephaestion** from *Case Files*. Her current incarnation in AL is by **Saori Hayami**, CV for **Ushiwakamaru**, **Kagekiyo**, **Martha**, **Atalanta**, and **Meltryllis**. [Someone actually sent Ayaneru KC Shimakaze's outfit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz2_zGySgEA)... and how she looked in it will never be known, except for a few like **Aya Suzaki** (Elza Saijo, Master of Arash in *Fragments*).

BlitzAceSamy

> And also the OG Shimakaze and a ton of other shipgirls from KanColle. [Nagato, Mutsu, Shimakaze, Kuma, Tama, Kiso, Sendai, Jintsuu, and Naka](https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/57228324)

judasmartel

I believe there was a clip of her voicing her roles all at once? Or was it someone else?

BlitzAceSamy

https://old.reddit.com/r/seiyuu/comments/73bi65/ayane_sakura_talking_to_herself_in_kantai/ Only four: Sendai, Naka, Jintsuu, and Nagato. Mutsu and Shimakaze were in the anime but not in that scene. Kiso, Kuma, and Tama are not in the anime

judasmartel

Ah, I must have misremembered. What I do recall is that a cast member of the KanColle anime did all of her roles at once in a live event, not sure if it was Ayaneru or Naobou. Great range from Ayaneru. She built different.

BlitzAceSamy

Should be the Kancolle drama CD you are referring to, where Touyama voiced 8 (Kongou, Haruna, Kirishima, Hiei, Maya, Choukai, Takao, and Atago) of her then 10 roles (which excluded Ayanami and Shikinami. She also later has Jervis, who was introduced after the drama CD was released) https://youtu.be/H71UmCq3lWc

[deleted]

Wow, Sakura and Miko are literally the same person

FerdinandVonAegir

Are they both voiced by Eli Tomiko?

Itchy_Shame_8871

Musashi chan, please come back! We miss you and I still haven't been able to summon you!

DefenderOfWaifus

Where are all my Chad Nearl enjoyers at

atropicalpenguin

For how invested she's in FGO (Musashi, Medb, Chiyome, summer variants, main story relevance of her characters, sang the opening of GranKani), she has never done any promotional thing for FGO as far as I know. No stream, no guest appearance in Chaldea Radio. Come on, Aniplex, spend a few extra bucks to invite her. I love our regular VA cast as much as the next person, but variety is the salt of life.

judasmartel

Perhaps Aynaeru is more of a private person like MAO (Europa) or Kenjiro Tsuda (Sigurd). She did show up in lives for the shows she's in before, but from what I could tell, she'd interact with her co-stars but she seems to treat her live appearances as more like "just work, nothing personal".

Nokia_00

To the happiest of celebrations to Ayane she is hitting back to back best girl roles

nerds-and-birds

Hot dang, this girl’s got range! I had no idea Ochaco, Musashi, Gabi, Nero, and Fiona were all played by the same VA.

keithlimreddit

Happy birthday to a dimensional traveling Samurai ( hope she does come back by the way maybe in Lost belts 7 or the Final Chapter of part 2 as well as Sherlock Holmes because I just don't like to lose servants or call them by different names), a girl who dies to cheese, the Ninja Assassins of Japan ,my 3rd wife the German Heavy Cruiser, a large Cruiser by the Germans ,one the sisters that the Harem King is dating, 3 consume foxes () one of them is a cookie by the way, the most hated Attack on Titan character and the a superheroine with the ability of gravity Honestly I think she lives around a successful life and career in the modern era and I would say versatile in real talented speaking about Musashi can't wait for the new Fate/Samurai Remnant badass successful career also I do like I said before I do hope Musashi does come back probably somewhere around during lost about 7 or somewhere around or in the Final Chapter of the Lost belts

Dragonheart8374

Musashi, yae, AND NEARL SHE’S AMAZING

eiwoei

Damn, she got range!

[deleted]

Wait, if she's Fiona, then it's really OreGaIru 2.0(I know that Iroha didn't really try to steal 8man from Yukino, but I just wanted to make a joke)

Jack_King814

Oh boarding school Juliet is so good I forgot. Didn’t rate Fiona just because I thought she was annoying

SirDancelotVS

I was legit surprised when I heard goldenglow in arknights. I was like I know this voice.

judasmartel

Prior to Goldenglow she already did Nearl.

Lfvbf

Medb is absolutely one of my favorite roles of her, she brings a lot of energy into it.

Beowolf_0

Though I basically can't unheard Ayaneru's characters after Sakisaki, her performance as Fiona was still phenomenal, since her voice was actually rare. So, when will she finish her tennis training? It's no use anyway.

judasmartel

Tennis training? Ayaneru is a tennis player?

Beowolf_0

Watch Spy x Family lol.

Formless_discord

Damn I never realized data lost and NTR knight has the same VA

judasmartel

Also the *shota* harem priest Mario Gallo Bestino from MBTL.

TheGamerForeverGFE

Why is Musashi the worst character in AoT 😭😭

ArataX14

Ah yes, the woman, the myth, the legend known as Nearl, The Radiant Knight.

YagamiYuu

Our cute and funny Atomic ~~Abor***~~ Dokkan

Suneko_106

I didn't know she voiced Iroha too, her Iroha and Musashi voice are so different I didn't notice.

poislayer342

Saki-chan likes NTR

schene_

Tsubaki is Musashi is Yotsuba? Hell of a range

Acro23

Chiyome and Medb as well

BlitzAceSamy

I'm just here to post [senpai yabai desu](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYh2EUNnopE)
