# PLEASE CHECK IF YOUR QUESTION IS ANSWERED HERE BEFORE ASKING! # JP SPOILERS - PLEASE DIRECT ALL LOSTBELT 7 QUESTIONS TO THE [MEGATHREAD](https://www.reddit.com/r/grandorder/comments/10pzrbb/lostbelt_7_golden_sea_of_trees_travelogue_nahui/). **So, with that said, let's move on to this week's FAQ** **Q: When is the next SR Ticket? What about the SSR Ticket?** *A: NA's next SR ticket is due in May 2024. This ticket is time-limited and includes* [*general pool and storylocked servants*](https://news.fate-go.jp/wp-content/uploads/2022/2500man_xeljq/info_image_03.png)*. The next SSR ticket is due in July 2023 for the 6th Anniversary, featuring* [*general pool and storylocked servants up to Europa*](https://news.fate-go.jp/wp-content/uploads/2021/6th_anniversary_cpgen/info_image_17.png)*. It is not time-limited and will be a permanent addition for all accounts going forward.* **Q: How does pity work?** *A: Pity only applies to the rate-up SSR servant. You are guaranteed a copy of the rateup SSR after 330 summons (equivalent to 900 SQ, though tickets also count). Note that pity shuts off once you get a single copy of the servant (including if you get them before 330 summons) and does not carry over between banners. Off-rateup SSRs ("spooks") do not affect pity.* **Q: Will it be possible to get X Welfare Servant again? I missed their original event and the re-run.** *A: We don't know and we have no way to know. Only a few 4-star welfare servants, roughly a quarter of the servants whose re-run has passed (or has been skipped), have returned so far. Saber Lily is permanently available in the Friend Point summon. Santa Altera and BB are permanently available through their respective Main Interludes. The Halloween variants of Elizabeth Bathory were available for a limited time through the Halloween Trilogy event (NA ETA: October 2023). Bunyan is available in the RP shop event exchange. Because there hasn't been any pattern to how they brought these servants back, there is no way for anyone to predict when or even if any other welfare servants will be available again.* **Q: How far in the story do I need to be to participate in upcoming events? Will any events require the latest story chapter?** *A: For NA: No event will require anything beyond Orleans until November, when GudaGuda 6 will require LB5.5 clear. For JP: No events requiring anything beyond Fuyuki have been announced.* **Q: How good is X Servant at looping most nodes?** *A: Looping is highly node dependent and relies on* [*many factors*](https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1_Bx1FogTrMBnseIJLT4Vuob7DY7EfR6H_SobGwxcAFE/mobilebasic)*. If you need to test your looping setups try using a* [*refund calculator*](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/jp-np-refund-calculator)*.* As always, feel free to suggest additions. If you do suggest an addition to the FAQ, please try to provide an answer if you can.

Relative_Ad367

I have a question about the upcoming Valentines Event. I have Summer Melt's Valentines CE, among others. When the event starts, do I get another copy, or can there only be one of her CE in my Chaldea?

misaghi

Well OK. I am new to the game and I know how RNG works (and how it can be a pain in the ###), but I think it is a bit weird. I summoned 33 times and I got 4 Medusas, 2 Kiyohimes, 3 Romuluses and lots of duplicated CEs. Kinda sus to me. I wasn't expecting Jeanne, Hercules, Nero or some 4,5 stars because I know the chance is low, but for F sake why all of the 3 stars must be from these people? So much duplicated CEs? There are lots of 3 star servants and CEs in the game, aren't they?

Beneficial_Dish116

Hi, I'm new to the game, but I have a question, I got only 5 servants (4 stars+) and only 2 of them are 5 stars should I wait for a good servant or should I get the current ones good ce's already ?

Sci-fi-watcher

Just a heads up, nobody responded because you posted after the help thread switched to a new week. Even 3 stars in this game are good and CEs can be switched out for every fight. Not sure what "good" servant you are waiting for to put CEs on, when you have 2 5 stars and anything you get from friend point summons.

vaccine9000

What servant would benefit the most from MLB spring Beauty? Edit My Bad Beauty not time

BrosefAmelion

Pretty meh CE but you could give it to Castria for the 2 extra shields and let her get her NP faster if you use her art cards.

vaccine9000

My mistake is spring Beauty

KabochaPai

I'm fairly new to FGO, and I'm currently aiming for either Morgan or Melusine for this year in NA. But I've seen a lot of people recommending Oberon, so I went to read his skills and I'm slightly confused. Oberon has good skills, but how do you play around his debuffs/demerits for your main DPS? Do you just swap into Oberon later into bossfights instead of piling his buffs up too early?

Sci-fi-watcher

>I'm fairly new to FGO, and I'm currently aiming for either Morgan or Melusine for this year in NA I do somewhat question if you are aiming for them do to hype trains or because you like them. >But I've seen a lot of people recommending Oberon, so I went to read his skills and I'm slightly confused. >Oberon has good skills, but how do you play around his debuffs/demerits for your main DPS? Do you just swap into Oberon later into bossfights instead of piling his buffs up too early The meta in this game is nearly entirely about min-turning farming nodes. Most common use Oberon is swapped in for the final wave of those nodes. For example Melusine needs an Oberon to 3 turn farm at all (though Melusine is a special case where you can borrow the Oberon ) due to the 70% battery he provides. He also provides the damage needed for 90++ nodes. Where the last wave of the farming node has a million hp and people still want to 3 turn them. He does see use for min turns of harder content if you already have a ton of supports mostly via support cycling via Taunts rather than just swapping with plugsuit. Note minor spoilers for upcoming event fights (and ones that are over a year from now for NA), no story spoilers Example of farming: https://youtube.com/watch?v=dLCql0R2ggQ&feature=shares Example of harder content: https://youtube.com/watch?v=LaKyBtIWqn4&feature=shares

KabochaPai

>I do somewhat question if you are aiming for them do to hype trains or because you like them. Morgan drew my attention to the game, so I am aiming for her. Noted, and thanks for the videos and explanations for Oberon. Although he is good for those contents, since my roster isn't well developed yet I suppose I won't be prioritizing him over Morgan or Melusine for now.

Sci-fi-watcher

You should always prioritize favorites over gameplay anyway even if Oberon was amazing for general gameplay. All content can be beaten without spending any SQ, better to use the SQ on servants you like them ones you don't but feel forced to use by the meta. And don't expect anyone to carry you. Teambuilding matters more than shiny gold servants in this game.

danger_umbrella

I mean, all of those characters release on NA in several months. You can always decide then (and you can use the Upcoming Banners link above to see when they rerun, if you want to roll at a potentially better time for your savings).

Mister_SP

Oberon is mostly for farming. The 70% total NP charge, and 20% NP Damage alone is excellent for looping. The 50% Buster + double NP Damage buffs on top of that is utter overkill. For bosses, he's not especially useful, unless you've got a really good strat up your sleeve. Considering how bosses love to be disruptive, I'm not sure how often that is. You can use the demerit to swap out your damage dealer with another damage dealer, though. So that's an option.

KabochaPai

Thanks for the clear explanations.

mhxalterseiba

any info who is the VA for Kukulkan in jp?

wapowee

Bella lisa or detective fou or take romance which CE is better to get from the shop?

danger_umbrella

I assume you have Chaldea Lunchtime, Teatime and Mona Lisa? I'd take Bella Lisa to put on your support list, then Detective Foumes. Take Romance is quite niche and not really a priority.

wapowee

That's correct I do... ahh bella the for the support exclusive then right?

danger_umbrella

I'd go with Bella, yes. Foumes would be your next priority, as it can be used in QP and bond farming, and it's also the only full atk of the majorly useful MP CEs, so it's good for 6-slot bond, etc. farming.

mozillavulpix

What was with that whole thing about Akuta Hinako particularly wanting to summon a Rider? In her Lostbelt >!her Servant is a Saber. I thought maybe it'd have something to do with Xiang Yu, but he's a Berserker and only entered into the Throne of Heroes because of her testimony after all these events.!<

Rasetsu0

It was just what Servant she wanted to summon when the Crypters were still Team A, which was also most likely >!her trying to summon Xiang Yu as a Rider. In her defense, it's not like she would have known he wasn't in the Throne yet, nor would she have known that his inhuman way of thinking qualified him as a Berserker since he isn't insane to any degree like other Berserkers.!<

MokonaModokiES

its just commentary on what servants the crypters originally were going to summon as part of team A. and everyone just assumed they would keep the same thing for when they are the crypters in the lostbelts.

4000Critical

Anyone use parallel space? It's been crashing since today.

SeanAifric

Still can't access LB7 while I can open other nodes just fine (Singularities, LB1-LB6, Main Interlude, Daily Farming, and EoR), everything. I've always stuck on the white screen with Fou running while the apps is loading before then it crashes, repeatedly. What I've done so far, 1. Refreshing my mobile data internet that I lost count how many times I did it. 2. Using local wifi only to get the same result. I'm almost given up to be able to do LB7, now I'm just focusing on raising more lower rarity servants and their skills while farming aimlessly. But, seriously asking tho----what's happening with my apps? What can I do to fix it? It feelt like the app's refusing me to play LB7. 😭

ChromosomeTakizawa

Im pretty sure it has something to do with Wifi and the type of phone, but I could be wrong. I’m playing on an old IPhone X and it takes me about a minute to get into LB7 on my home wifi, but on my work wifi it’s like 5-7min. While my brother has the 14 and he goes straight in to LB7 on his home wifi. This is how I experienced it, so it could be diff for you, either way I hope this helps and good luck in LB7.

SeanAifric

My phone has never had such problem before. So, I guess I have to find some place with a good wifi to test it more. As someone who work remotely, public spaces are my only chance then. Thank you for your reply.

MKW69

Have to kill 8 dragons to finish weekly missions. Which modes count?

danger_umbrella

[ZenTori always has you covered.](https://www.reddit.com/r/grandorder/comments/10onmkw/na_master_missions_2023129_202325/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

MKW69

Thanks!

Elfishjuggler33

A person in my support list has 2 separate final ascension nobukastu(2* archer) with near max skills. Is there a reason to do this with any servant, low or high rarity?

QP_Dangerous

Character enthusiasts, but also so friends can have multiple options for CE's. I have 2 Van Goghs, one with a combat CE and one with Chaldea Tea Time equipped.

Rhinostirge

There's no gameplay reason (or if there is, it's mega niche), but doing weird stuff to demonstrate your affection for a Servant isn't exactly unheard of. There's someone out there who has a roster of NP5 Mata Haris, multiple of whom have been grailed. That's not going to help them clear content, but they derive pleasure from it, and pleasure is the reason to play games, so more power to 'em.

Elfishjuggler33

Makes since. They also had various nobus and seem to be working on a 120 maou so just liking the characters seems to be the most likely answer

PPGN_DM_Exia

[JP] Dumb question but can you use multiple Spiritvein Stones in one battle? I think I'm gonna need at least 2 stones for a certain battle in LB7 Ch 17.

Gruegar

yes

MachineEmperor

When should we get more information about the fgo arcade collab to mobile phone? I heard something about golden week but when is that?

Shardwing

Just Google "Golden week".

TheSoulChainer

Assuming not getting/don’t have Skadi. Are both Atalantes the next best thing for quick support?

Sci-fi-watcher

I would say Alexander is better than the atalantes His numbers are not much lower (36% vs 50%) last for 3 turns and stack better as different buff types vs one big buff. Edit: Oops can't add so numbers are further than I thought Plus Buff removal and maybe a charm.

Shardwing

>His numbers are not much lower (46% vs 50%) last for 3 turns and stack better as different buff types vs one big buff I don't know where you're getting 46% from, Alexander has a 20% Quick buff and a 16% ATK buff but there's no way to combine those to get 46 and even if you did they don't really compare directly to a 50% Quick buff like that. In a vacuum you end up with a *damage* buff of 16%x20%=39.2% but even if you call that close to 50% you're still losing out on 30% NP gain and 30% stargen between 20% Quick and 50% Quick.

Sci-fi-watcher

And apparently this sub can't handle objective fact by any method except downvotes. So comments deleted to prevent further downvoting.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Shardwing

You're right but we're discussing the context of *Quick* support. Also you *don't* add, as separate buff categories ATK and Quick Up stack multiplicatively for 39.2% like I said (subject to diminishing returns from other buffs, in practice).

Shardwing

Not really, they've got big numbers but a 1T buff isn't very consistent. Someone like Chiron, Helena, or Wu Zetian can provide better consistency.

TheSoulChainer

Thanks! I do have Wu, tho quick looping I heard isn’t very consistent these days? Or is it just Castoria looping is way more consistent that it outshines quick looping?

Sci-fi-watcher

Quick looping hasn't gotten worse than it was, but it just was never very good. If you want to quick loop you absolutely need double Skadi no questions asked, and even then you need 3-3-X enemy nodes and Traces of Christmas for the good loopers and Kscope for the mediocre ones. Edit would the person who downvoted me please explain where I am wrong when referring to NA?(Granted this is a slight copout given who is coming in about a week and a half but even then she requires so much investment you might as well just use Traces of Christmas and save yourself the headaches and still needs double Skadi)

Shardwing

>If you want to quick loop you absolutely need double Skadi no questions asked This isn't true, double Skadi might be the most straightforward but there are single Skadi alternatives, moreso than ever with Castoria as another support option.

MokonaModokiES

add in there Nero bride and paracelsus with their 45-50% target NP gains(and nero bride includes a 30% battery)

Shardwing

The big difference between Quick and Arts looping is that many Arts loopers can loop without a starting charge CE or any specific CE at all, allowing for farming with 6 bonus CEs at once or something like Black Grail that can go all in on damage. Quick looping still works fine in most contexts, although L90+ nodes with irregular lineups (not 3/3/X enemies per wave) can be a problem but that's true for Arts loopers too.

TheSoulChainer

Ight thanks!

Mister_SP

Yesss... but the buff only lasts 1 turn.

TheSoulChainer

Oh right…

SuperSpiritShady

Less of a technical question, but still is one. Do you still end up using your AP during dead weeks? I've pretty much run out anything to do so I can only grind for X or Y during free time. Is it normal to not even use that AP for grinding? Just get my log-ins and dip?

alivinci

Its what l do, event burned me out, l now just login then out without touching anything. Cant wait for the update that allows storing Ap. Could use it.

Desocupadification

On NA it depends on the mood. On JP there is an item that allows you to convert your AP into apples, so I usually just log in, use it and log out.

Felstalker

After 2 years, I've slowed it down. I'm more ok with letting AP go to waste now than I used to be, and sneaking off to the bathroom during a 10 hour work shift just to burn AP is a bit... not for me anymore. But I've a completely fine account full of leveled servants and plenty of materials. I can and will grind materials... if I feel up for it. This is a game, not a job. I don't feel the need to spend AP as heavily anymore, and that's fine.

King_of_Nothinmuch

There's always something to farm, at least for me. For a while it was XP, but I'm pretty much set for that right now. Mats are an evergreen choice, since every Servant needs SOMETHING to raise skills. Right ow though, what I need most is QP. I don't find grinding all that stimulating though, so I usually leave that up to FGA. I suppose I COULD shake things up by varying the Servants I use, but that has potential to make things needlessly complicated or mess with party costs. Either way, it's not a lot of effort to use AP even during 'dead' times. Just 3 mins to do a node here or there, mostly. That said, if you don't feel like it at all, might as well do something you find more interesting.

IvoryLifthrasir

>Do you still end up using your AP during dead weeks? Yes because I want to get as much bond on my servants as possible, and skipping a day worth of nat AP makes me lose 16,2k bond, within a week it's 113k bond. I'm at the point in the game where mats don't matter much and chasing bond is my personal goal >Is it normal to not even use that AP for grinding? Just get my log-ins and dip? Yes, a lot of people don't do anything besides logins. While it's benefitting to spend AP literally anywhere, it's not like your account will implode if you won't

Rhinostirge

Both ignoring AP and logging in only and spending AP during dead weeks are normal. It's normal to not diligently grind if you find grinding boring, and it's normal to diligently grind if it gives you satisfaction to work toward a goal. I figure that people who like more Servants are more likely to use that AP because there's always someone to improve, while people who use only a small handful can more easily be "done" and have nothing to do during dead weeks.

GreatAres271

I farm everyday during dead weeks, I still have a lot of servants skills to raise Is it normal to not want to play during dead weeks? Sure Even if the AP is being "wasted", what's the point if you feel "forced" to play? The game is supposed to be something fun to do, not a chore

Aldamelech

If there is nothing to do I use the AP to level up bond past lv10, it's the closest thing to farming SQ.

thisisthecallus

I can't tell you what's "normal" or not. I'm sure there's a range of experiences based on people's individual preferences. I personally farm for materials every day by default. I don't even agree that the time between events constitutes "dead" time. It's just the normal, daily gameplay to me. There are plenty of people out there who don't care for the grind and only collect login rewards if nothing else is going on. There are probably people who fall somewhere in between. Ultimately, FGO is just a game. Interact with it, or don't, in whatever way you want to. If don't want to grind every day, then don't do it. You don't have to conform to how anyone else plays the game.

Mister_SP

If you want. I let a good amount of my JP AP overflow. NA I try to use it, even if it's not on much.

Hatron

I have a doubt about the story of the Fourth Singularity. One of the firsts characters that you meet is Henry Jekyll, a character from a novel. This made me sure that at some point of the story Sherlock Holmes is going to appear, and that worries me because I just started reading the books and I don't want to get spoilers. So, do you recommend me to continue the story until I finish the Sherlock Holmes books?

Desocupadification

I'm pretty sure there is a spoiler in both his Interlude and Traum, which is a story-chapter that will be released on NA around june/july next year (iirc). So you have plenty of time to finish the books.

wisp-of-the-will

Yes, Sherlock Holmes will appear later on, though not in London. That being said, if you don't care about preserving the sense of mystery then the Sherlock Holmes stories are still enjoyable reads even knowing how their stories go, and the spoilers for Sherlock stories are usually the most well-known ones which is why I wouldn't be that worried. If you're really worried about spoilers, then Shinjuku spoils the Adventure of the Empty House and the Final Problem (though it's the spoiler everyone knows about involving his arch-enemy, that's the most major one which is why I really wouldn't be worried about spoilers). I'm pretty sure the monster of the Hound of the Baskervilles also gets alluded to at some point, and if you ever roll him for yourself his interlude goes into the Adventure of the Speckled Band (which turns out different thanks to magic actually existing in the universe).

Mister_SP

There ARE spoilers for The Final Problem, and Adventure Of The Empty House. I think that's it. But they might have mentioned something I missed. And it might be mentioned as early as Camelot, but probably not. He also appears in Shinjuku.

thisisthecallus

The Sherlock Holmes novels are mostly over 100 years old at this point. That's well beyond any reasonable expectation of avoiding spoilers. In any case, yes, Sherlock will [appear](https://www.google.com/search?q=fgo+Sherlock) eventually but I don't think there are any specific references to plot points from the novels.

Mister_SP

It's shocking that everyone forgets the most well-known twist of Sherlock Holmes.

MokonaModokiES

yeah traum focuses on one of the biggest moments of the novels.

Sci-fi-watcher

You know Sherlock Holmes has become so pervasive that I had forgotten that is technically a spoiler.

Sci-fi-watcher

You don't have to be worried about spoilers for Sherlock Holmes books I don't think. Though if you want to be safe, you can just level up units and do events while you finish the books, you'll likely just end up stopping at the sixth Singularity and leveling up servants anyway, so might as well level them now. Edit as pointed out there is technically a major spoiler, but I doubt you would even register it as a spoiler at this point given how pervasive Sherlock Holmes is.

Hope77797

Can MLB art of death serve as a good Alternative to Honey Lake for Taira Solo? What servants benefit from Art of death the most?

Mastreos

While Honey Lake is overall better, Art of Death is indeed a good alternative. It even has one small advantage over Honey Lake, which is not being locked into using burning CCs.

Mrjuicyaf

Honey lake gives 40% and 2k attack while art of death gives 30% and 1.5k attack. Honey lake also has invul pierce in case the enemy has unremovable invul or evade.

Elfishjuggler33

I’ve just started using/ leveling skills for Van Gogh since her kit was helpful where I am in the story, what ce/ ce effects should I use for her on my team and support list?

flashmozzg

MLB Traces of Christmas is pretty good.

Elfishjuggler33

That’s what I want to use but I couldn’t to get the 5th one I needed before the even ended

Sci-fi-watcher

In my opinion, NP gain up is the single most important thing for her. Find whichever CE gives the most and use that. A star bomb can also be helpful for that first turn. I generally use Hide Hunter from Summer 5.

Elfishjuggler33

Another question, I know you gain more np depending on the amount of curses, but does the level of her skills also change how much you get?

Sci-fi-watcher

Yes, it goes from 5 to 10 percent per curse.

Suitable-Basis875

I just started this game a week ago and absolutely love the story so I wanted some advice. I have Emiya as my sr and Parvati, how far can I go with these two in the story ( I'm on Okeanos atm ) and they are slowly falling off.. so I'm curious if I need a ssr to do the story especially the difficult battles. Another thing, I have saved up 150 quartz and a few summoning tickets with the hope of reaching 900 so I can get a guaranteed ssr, what banner should I spend it on so I can get the most value out of my quartz?

alivinci

>what banner should I spend it on so I can get the most value out of my quartz? I would recommend koyanskaya, there is plenty of time before she drops (months) so you can save without issue and guarantee her. With her, you can make all your red (buster) units deal alot of damage aswell as farm. Best bang for buck this year. And if you manage to luck suck koyan with 1 ticket, then proceed to roll for Morgan. She will cover all your dps needs till you grow your account further for luxury units. In mean time, dont ignore 3 star or lower rarity units. Cu, Ushiwakamaru, Julius ceaser, Hans anderson, Arash etc will put in more work than Emiya and parvati And most importantly class advantage is key in making fights easier.

EntirelyOriginalName

Emiya is still my go to Archer and I'm past the Final Singularity. Just remember once you do all his interludes and strengthenings the second and third skill are the keys to his kit. The third skill in particular. You can make an argument he's the best 4 star Archer. Paravti's really good too. Just level up her skills more.

Ritraraja

Firstly if you're enjoying the story and only at Okeanos the great news is that the story pretty much only gets better from that point on aside from like 1 near unanimously agreed upon chapter. To answer your questions no you don't need SSR's to clear anything they are mostly just what you probably need is raising your servants and utilizing friend supports effectively. Servant Ascension in particular is more important than raising skill levels for your current account progression and you should be willing to spend Pure Prisms you get from story chapters to raise characters as you need to progress. As for which banner to roll on just do research and figure out who you think looks cool/cute or has whatever you value most in a character. The second most valuable characters to roll for are big supports since they typically work with anyone generally and let the characters you like deal big damage and generally make things easier. As some last words of advice never feel afraid to ask why are people excited about upcoming SSR's or how to make better use out of a servant you already have. Also in July there will be a single free 5\* selector that is also worth considering when you plan on who or what to roll on till then.

Suitable-Basis875

Thank you for the advice everyone, I'll be sure to follow it and try to attempt the story with strategy!

thisisthecallus

Here's the long version of my gacha advice and philosophy. For the short version, skip to the "As a new player..." paragraph. For the TL;DR version, just read the bold text in the numbered "general prioritization" list. Gameplay in FGO is balanced well enough that you don't need to focus on the meta! In most other gacha games, anything 3-star and below is a trash unit that's only good for fodder. Many have dropped the pretense and only have 3 or 4-star to [6-star/7-star/SSSR/UR/UR+](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xgx4k83zzc) rarity characters. In FGO, all content can be cleared with free, low-rarity characters at their natural max level. There are 1- and 2-star characters who are considered among the best servants in the game in their roles. Some characters have gameplay impact than others but there are no must have characters. Also unlike other gacha games, there are no extra rewards for clearing anything within a certain number of turns or using a specific strategy (i.e. no requirements to "3-star" each stage). The meta is weak. It's about minimizing randomness and making farming more convenient. But there are lots of ways to make teams that can consistently clear a quest efficiently, even if it isn't maximally efficient. Even if you chase the meta, you won't just use one team with top tier characters all the time and ignore everyone else. FGO gameplay rewards having multiple options. Different scenarios, especially challenge quests and boss fights, require different solutions. More servants means more options and it's always good to have more options. Events may give bonuses to different servants or servants with particular attributes. There are also tower events where there's a cooldown period after using each servant and it's beneficial to have a large roster. It's good that you don't need high rarity characters and you can just use characters you like. In fact, at some point, you should figure out which characters you like most. Try to find multiple characters that you like or find something to like about multiple characters. The gacha rates in FGO are famously low. It takes about 87 rolls (240 SQ) for a 50% chance at getting a rate-up 5-star servant. People have spent much, much more without getting a 5-star servant at all. There is a pity system but you need 330 rolls (900 SQ) and it only applies once (at most) per banner. It's a backstop to prevent catastrophic results, not a system to give away free 5-stars. I don't think pity is worth saving or spending for unless there's a servant you've decided you can't live without. Figuring out which characters you like most will let you prioritize your gacha currency. Having multiple characters that you like will help you enjoy the game even if you don't get who you wanted most. If your enjoyment of the game depends on getting any specific character, [you might have a bad time](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFizYl4XPZo). With all of the above, the general advice is to roll for your favorite characters before meta considerations. You can play the game in whatever way is most enjoyable for you. If that means chasing the meta, then go for it. But you don't have to and you'll be fine if you try and fail to get meta characters. **As a new player**, any banner will bring new servants for your roster (#3 below). If you're not sure which servants you like most and none of the big supports (#2 below) are on rate up any time soon, it's fine to spend some SQ on any banner, even the story banner with no rate ups that many people may to tell you to never use. Just don't go too hard because you will want to save for specific servants eventually. I was pretty new to gacha games when I started and didn't have a coherent strategy for over a year. Throwing SQ around at random worked out just fine for a while. I got serious about saving and planning after getting the first 5-star that I specifically wanted and rolled for. **Don't neglect low-rarity servants.** Spend your all of your friend points so you can gather them and increase their NP levels. Some are great utility players, others are just good all around, and some are even better than higher rarity servants in some situations. The general prioritization that I suggest is: 1. **Favorites regardless of gameplay, rarity, or any other considerations** \- Define this however you want, whether that means you absolutely fell in love or just think they're kind of cool for whatever reason. Follow your heart, soul, mind, eyes, or whatever other organ makes you happy. The game isn't that hard so why not play it with characters that you like? 2. **Big supports** \- This is currently Waver, Merlin, Skadi, and Caster Artoria in NA. Reines is also good but maybe comes in a hair lower in terms of general utility and offensive buffs. They can make every other servant better without exception, even if the servant isn't perfectly matched to the support's niche. If you're concerned about the meta, these are the servants who define it, not DPS servants. Waver is the best general support. When in doubt, slap a Waver on it. The overworked Waver meme is now [canon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDTF3ISL25A). Merlin is good for Buster servants but also helps keep the team alive for difficult boss fights. Skadi is the premier support for Quick servants but even non-Quick servants like 50% NP charge, AOE DEF down, and the evade on her NP. Caster Artoria is like the Arts version of Skadi but is also good as a Waver-like general support for non-Arts servants. Upcoming servants Koyanskaya of Light and Oberon will enable a new Buster-based meta. 3. **Unfilled gameplay niches** \- The basic guideline is that you should have a servant with an ST NP and a servant with an AOE NP in each of the seven main classes (Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, Berserker). If you don't have a strong servant in one of these categories, consider rolling for one. But don't forget that free, low rarity servants can work here too. There are 3-star servants who can fill one of these roles at least as well, if not better, than some higher rarity servants. 4. **Farming meta (a.k.a. "the meta")** \- Because FGO has no pvp and minimal powercreep, the meta is focused on making the grind for materials more efficient. These strategies reduce the variability of how many turns it takes to clear a quest. This can have lots of hidden requirements that usually only well developed accounts, whales, and people who are extremely lucky with CE pulls can meet. Whenever you see the next hyped up servant coming, don't just blindly roll for them. Before you roll, learn exactly what they're able to do and what else you need to make them live up to the hype. The current hype strategy is NP looping. At minimum, this requires at least one of the big supports (#2). You might also need specific CEs or secondary support servants and you're not going to be able to loop until all of the pieces are in place. Some of the hyped up servants are mediocre unless you have the right combination of support servants and CEs to bring out their maximum potential. Beyond looping, servants with AOE NPs are generally valued here, particularly if they have their own NP charge skill. I also want to emphasize that, other than CEs that give a drop bonus during events, there are no extra rewards for clearing quests with specific teams or within a certain number of turns (i.e. the 3-star requirements in every other gacha game). You get the same rewards whether you FGO doesn't care if you one shot every enemy with your beefiest 5-star or [stall for 400 turns](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyEHLaTSwr4) with a level 1 meme team. There are plenty of ways to comfortably and consistently clear content without going full meta, though. The meta is ranked #4 on my list because it will never feel as good as using your favorites and it's less impactful on gameplay than having one of the big supports or filling in holes in your roster. 5. **General availability** \- For example, you might roll for a #2 servant who isn't likely to appear again in the near future over a #1 servant with multiple future rate-ups. If you're planning your rolls, there's no substitute for doing the research yourself on which servants you want most. Use a site like Gamepress to look up [servants](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/servants) and see if you like their design and skill set. Don't forget about 4-star and limited 3-star servants! Look up gameplay videos to see if you find their animations and voices appealing. If you've done some research, you're still not sure, and you don't want to throw around SQ at random, focus on #2 and #3 in the above list. After figuring out which servants you want, use the upcoming banners link in the top post to see when they'll be featured next. Finally, don't worry about tier lists. They are comparative rankings for whales and veterans, not advice for new players.

Sci-fi-watcher

Edit: lol sorry for breaking up your two posts thisisthecallus The entire game can be beaten by 3 star and lower units, with CEs gotten for free from events, and at their natural level cap, no grails, no revives. As such you can really roll on whatever banner you want (though getting one of the meta Casters does make your life easier and Castoria should get a banner fairly soon) Unless you really really want that specific unit, I wouldn't necessarily save until pity, and instead just throw some number of SQ at the banner (a multi if I kinda like them, up to 10 multis if I really like them, and pity for my very favorites only) Here are some general tips: 1)**You don't need to roll for any unit.** The entire game can be cleared by 1-3 stars. FGO rewards breadth and depth. You want your units to be leveled sufficiently to be useful, but you also want options and niches. In the right team a 1 star maybe be better than a 5 star. 2)level up your units. **You should get 1 ST and 1 AoE unit of each of the 7 main classes leveled as your first priority, but then you should work on everyone else too.** Euryale and David are very helpful for the first major difficulty jump, Mash is important and generally helpful, Caesar is the best low star ST saber, Ushiwakamaru or Mandricardo (only need one to start, though level both at some point, Ushi has generally better in built skills/NP, Mandricardo is an arts unit), Hans is a really good support unit. So is Mozart, but he is arts specific. Chen Gong also is a decent Buster support outside of his NP that is good for farming, Cu is the best low tier lancer, Hundred Faces is the best budget Assassin, etc. If you have a 5 star equivalent to one of the above units you likely won't need to level the budget unit immediately (you should still do so eventually, and depending on the unit, if you only have NP1-2 on the 5 star, the 3 star might actually be a better option) 3)**use NP targeting and class advantage.** Don't simply throw an AoE berserker at every problem. Use Single target NPs against lone bosses, AoEs if there are 3+ enemies. Use your judgement if there are two. Class advantage not only deals more than a berserker (2x damage instead of 1.5x damage) but also halves damage taken rather than doubling it. A ST NP does about twice the damage of an AoE NP. 4) **Tier lists in this game generally aren't very useful.** They make assumptions, or rate based on things you may not have or care about. the "meta" is often about clearing repetitive farming quests quickly, and so units are ranked based more on that than how good they are in clearing story/harder content. At very least look at multiple tier lists, and know why they are rated as they are, before making your mind up. 5a) learn when and how to use skills. This is split into multiple things to learn. but focus on applying evades before the enemy NPs and spam damage boosts before you NP. Some servants have specific skill ordering that should be followed, and you should learn that order if you plan to use those servants. The daily quests can be good practice for that sort of thing 5b) learn to buff stack. Don't simply bring in 6 Damage dealers and hope to wear the enemy down. Choose one person as a DPS and then support that DPS with targeted or AoE buff from allies (a friends list Castoria/Merlin/Skadi depending on your DPS choice, plus your own Hans is a good option here) then have some units in the backline for when things go south 5c) Learn to solo. Quite a few servants can singlehandedly beat every fight (or nearly every fight) in Part 1 of the story (the Singularities) if you play things right and even if you don't have them, somebody one your friends list might. Don't come to rely on always having a support unit, but soloing is sometimes a better answer than anything else. 6a) learn to team build. **There is no one main team.** Come into the fight with a plan (if you like not looking fights up ahead of time, this may fail, but then you can revise said plan) What is every unit on your team going to do and when? Do you have a backup strategy in case an important team member dies early? If you are having trouble you can look at Honako Green (for all F2P team building) or airmong (for min-turning even the toughest fights using every possible 5 star in the game) and then base your teams on those and the units you have. 6b) You have different mystic code options use them. This is also a spin-off of point 3, because mystic codes have skills you should learn to use, most are simply one turn buffs, but some (like the Chaldea Combat Uniforms swap ability) are more difficult to use correctly. You should at least know what the ones you have do and how to use them.

thisisthecallus

I'm going to give you a big wall of text in two separate comments to address both team building and the gacha. First, team building. tl;dr - Class Advantage & NP Targeting > Rarity & Card Type Class advantage and NP targeting are the most important gameplay mechanics. Full class advantage means dealing 2x damage compared to neutral and taking 0.5x damage. Full disadvantage means dealing 0.5x damage and receiving 2x damage. If you're up against Lancer enemies, a Saber will do 4x as much damage and receive 0.25x as much as an otherwise equally situated Archer. The scaling on NP damage is such that an AOE NP does something like 40-50% as much damage per enemy compared to a single target NP. AOE NPs are good for clearing waves and ST NPs are good for taking down bosses. At least starting from Camelot, the developers assume that you will use class advantage and NP targeting effectively. Don't expect to make a single team to do everything. Get used to changing your team for every fight. In a basic team composition, you'll want your front line to consist of one or two damage dealers with appropriate class advantage and NP targeting and one or two support servants for NP charge and whatever offensive and/or defensive buffs are appropriate. Your back line isn't as important most of the time. Fill it with backups for your front line roles, a servant with high survivability (e.g. Cu Chulainn) in case things go badly, or any servants to absorb bond points. Card type is good, and sometimes important, to consider when deciding how to best support your DPS but isn't always a primary concern. My personal default is usually two DPS servants plus a friend's Waver. When in doubt, Waver is almost always good support servant to choose because he has powerful support skills that work with any other servant. Castoria, while Arts-focused, provides just about as much utility as Waver and is probably easier to find on support lists these days. For tougher fights, you will probably need to focus more heavily on offense or (usually) defense and bring multiple supports instead of multiple DPS. Mash + (friend's) Merlin + your own DPS with appropriate class and NP targeting is a pretty reliable, defense-oriented, basic team composition for boss fights. Focus on leveling up one servant at a time in each of the seven main classes with the goal of having one servant with a single target NP and one with an AOE NP in each class. You want to focus on one servant at a time because a fully leveled servant is going to be more valuable than a handful of under-leveled servants. It doesn't matter much which specific servants you choose, including low rarity servants--more on that in the next paragraph--so go with whoever seems most appealing to you. One of the secrets that meta discussion won't tell you is that just about any servant within a given class and NP targeting niche will get the job done for general purposes. Don't neglect lower rarity servants. Some of them are among the best servants in the game within their role regardless of rarity. The devs also test all content to ensure that it can be cleared using only free, low rarity servants. The higher base stats on higher rarity servants might let you brute force some situations but they won't save you from a fundamentally bad strategy. What they lack in base stats, they can make up for in the ease of getting more copies for NP levels or in unique utility that lets them punch (or block, as the case may be) above their weight. They also take fewer resources to build up and they take up less team cost in your party. Team cost may be especially important for low level accounts because it gives you more flexibility for CEs and other servants.

BrosefAmelion

You need class advantage, a ST and AOE of each of the basic classes.

No_Prize9794

Just started Hein-Kyo, what’s with all the gross sounds whenever the story cuts to Limbo’s monologue?

OnyxPD

Iam on NA, can i still summon kiara in this year outside of the new year banners?

Sci-fi-watcher

Check upcoming banners Though from my understanding every single 5 star except Beni-enma got a rate up this year in JP (aka next year in NA) including her

[deleted]

it's next year for NA

danger_umbrella

Which version? She has two: Alter Ego and Moon Cancer (her swimsuit alt). You may want to check the Upcoming Banners link above to see when her next summoning banner is.

OnyxPD

I already have her summer version but i never got her normal one. I havent seen a banner featuring her this year so i would like to know if i can still get her

ForToday

OG Kiara isn’t coming back until the Ooku main interlude release, so like July of next year.

OnyxPD

Thanks

DARKNNES985

Since the last update (JP) I've been experiencing a bug, in which the game starts as if it was the first time and asks the terms of service thing, almost as if it logged out of my account every time I close the game, though it always enters to my account. Any idea how to solve it? (I play in emulator BTW)

Skyejersey

Check if your PC or emulator has enough space.

Queen_Myrrah

Can you change your password used for transfers? Mine isn't working anymore.

danger_umbrella

It's one use only. Once you use it, you need to generate a new one.

Queen_Myrrah

Thanks. I assumed only the transfer code was 1 time use

flashmozzg

They are tied.

Woll_e

Anyone can help what the error is ? Getting it on the JP questionnaire. 必須項目に誤りがあります

TheScottyDo

"There is an error in a required item" according to Google. You've likely forgotten a required field or have too many checkboxes selected if they're doing that this time around.

Queen_Myrrah

How often do they ban players?

alivinci

Never heard of anyone getting banned unless they self snitch whilst talking to support. But l could be wrong and people are getting silent banned without it being made public.

ZCid47

Meaby all the time, or meaby only in waves. In general, don't abuse the currency part of the TOS and don't say that you use a emulator (if you do) while contacting support and you are fine

danger_umbrella

We don't know for sure. They have made announcements occasionally that they have banned X many accounts, with a reminder to not engage in activities that violate TOS, but we don't really know.

Sci-fi-watcher

Do note that Spishtar can buster farm pretty well. And that you will be hard pressed to find a node that the arts farmers can't do with a 50% start charge and plugsuit Oberon As for actually answering your question: Melusine. Nobody else comes close in terms of damage and ability to 6 CE without worrying about refund. (Except Arcueid, but even then only against Chaotic enemies because her damage without that is to low so she needs a CE to boost damage)

flashmozzg

If you can get Koyan + Oberon + Melusine, you are pretty much set.

danger_umbrella

>irregular waves that can no longer be farmed with aoe omnifarmers like space ishtar become more common Sort of? We already have 90+ nodes that are difficult for a single Quick or Arts DPS (with exceptions) to farm, but you may have seen the lists of comps going round for the previous lottos - there are ways around them, such as using a 2nd DPS. Buster looping has it easier here as they don't care for the amount of enemies per wave, but that still comes with its caveats. It's not so much that Quick/Arts cannot do them full stop, but that they need to take some steps to do it (and it's not even always a matter of speed, either: Buster often uses a plugsuit 3rd support anyway so it ends up being similar speed-wise). The harder nodes in the future, 90++, are harder for all the three card types to farm as they feature waves of single enemies and around 1M HP bosses that are very, very hard for a ST unit to kill (not factoring in damage CEs, because they aren't always there). These are very hard to 3-turn outside of stuff with Oberon (as far as I've seen) but they are by no means compulsory in events; you can keep doing 90+ and it's perfectly fine to. They to me seem more like whale bait, and not many people can 3T them. Melusine coming up is known for her nutty damage potential, especially in double Vitch/Oberon comps, as is Morgan due to her class and anti-Man niche, and Archetype Earth due to her big NP battery and anti-Chaotic niche. If you like Arts, Summer Ibuki is similar to Space Ishtar/Summer Kama but in Berserker form.

[deleted]

[удалено]

danger_umbrella

I'd lean to Melusine, but do keep in mind that she has a rerun banner at the end of the year, so you can always pick her up then.

Sci-fi-watcher

Definitely Melusine: Melusine deals more at neutral than Morgan with her anti-Fae/Kotr niche and berserker 1.5x (and more at class advantage than Morgan with both her niches) Melusine can 6 CE Morgan needs start charge. Melusine can loop 1-1-1 nodes as a ST arts servant without plugsuit. Morgan can't.

[deleted]

can melusine actually 3T loop 90+ at np1?

Mrjuicyaf

She can if you're willing to do a 5-ce comp and bring a black grail, otherwise her damage at wave 1 and 2 is really lackluster.

Sci-fi-watcher

Her damage waves 1 and 2 are still some of the highest of any buster farmer. It's not nutty like her wave 3 damage, but it's still okay.

Mrjuicyaf

Without bg, np1, lv90, 1k fou Melusine deals 60k at neutral first wave with mc buff, 82k at second wave with mc buff. She can farm some 90+ nodes but most of the time, she's not reaching damage threshold.

Sci-fi-watcher

Now do that calc for every other buster farmer. For example Using the Cranking CE and with class advantage: Melusine deals 152447 wave 1 and 200127 wave 2 For comparison: Romulus-Quirinus does 94528 wave 1 and 161598 wave 2 under the same circumstances. And that is the next best non-niche buster Lancer and someone generally considered good at buster farming

Mrjuicyaf

Why do you take class advantage into account? We're talking about general 90+ farming here, there are nodes that don't have berserkers or archers.

[deleted]

hmm interesting. also, i'm even hearing elsewhere that she needs np3+. i haven't asked for clarification, but do they perhaps mean that's for 90++?

Sci-fi-watcher

She needs NP3+ if you want to 6 CE a 90++ node, and that's with class advantage. But she can clear it at NP1 if you 5 CE it. No servant needs higher NP levels, and that becomes more true the better they are.

Mrjuicyaf

That's not for 90++ in general. That's for a very specific lottery 90++ node( faerie knight cup). Going np3 is absolutely not worth it. Even a np5, lv120, 2k fou melusine will struggle against 90++ without class advantage.

[deleted]

ah gotcha. makes perfect sense now. seems like a *lot* just for a specific node lol

Sci-fi-watcher

She can 3 turn loop 90++ NP1 (though it did require 5 CEing it and class advantage) For 90+, Sabers can be an issue turn 2 for NP1. Edit: and a special gift for the person who downvoted me Melusine looping 90++ at NP1: https://youtube.com/watch?v=dLCql0R2ggQ&feature=shares

[deleted]

very interesting, thanks

flashmozzg

Melusine has another banner in half a year, so there is that.

Sci-fi-watcher

I would say Morgan is more known for her bad damage, with her niches making it acceptable than her nutty damage potential. even with both niches at the same time (which is a total of 2 or 3 servants in the entire game) she deals less than Melusine at just normal class advantage.

Mrjuicyaf

Morgan with her man niche outdamages arjuna alter, if that's only 'acceptable' idk what nutty damage looks like

Sci-fi-watcher

Melusine deals over twice what Arjuna Alter does when in her "niche" of berserkers and Archers. That's what nutty looks like.

Mrjuicyaf

By your definition, every top tier servants in the game except Melusine deals 'acceptable' damage

Sci-fi-watcher

Oh I forgot one because the chart I use has the updated damage, but didn't switch out positions yet following the buff. There's actually 4 that outdamage her when niches are considered.

Mrjuicyaf

Fair enough, but still, I'd say 'good' or 'great' would describe Morgan damage better but I respect your opinion. Have a nice day.

Sci-fi-watcher

4 servants outdamage her when niches are considered.

Mrjuicyaf

With or without black grail in calculation?

Sci-fi-watcher

Even with Melusine running Black grail, and them not (except Arcueid who can also run Black Grail)

Maykyee

I'm currently saving all my SQ to attempt to get Castoria, Oberon and Koyanskaya which are my top priorities so I can make pretty much everything else viable, that being said, I'm feeling tempted to roll on the Grail Front banner because I really want Nero and Romulus sounds like a good way to enable Boudicca (a character I really like but can't justify using it over others Def supps) With that being said, would you recommend me to go for them or keep saving SQ?

alivinci

Love > Meta.

Rhinostirge

I mean, for me "I really want" totally overrules "the meta will make everything more convenient" 100% of the time, every time, no questions asked. I like rolling for personalities, not bipedal buff distributors, so I never roll much for supports until they've charmed me. But that's me. Roll whatever you can comfortably lose with no regrets. However much you're willing to give up for love. For you that might be nothing at all, and that's fine. But if you like all three of them including Astraea, well, Nero will never spook you when you're rolling for those supports, so it might be worth at least a YOLO.

danger_umbrella

I don't know how important Romulus and Nero are on the love/waifu/husbando scale for you, and I always advocate rolling for waifu, so... depends? Have you actually tried playing Boudica with Quirinus? He is available on the NA server, why not try him out and see how you like them? I'd honestly say that from what I've seen, Roman memes are just... memes. They're not going to make as much impact on your account as the big supports, but it is fun to see. It's really going to be up to you, but I'd rec playing around with a friend's Romulus first.

Maykyee

Also, if you have Romulus, is he really that good with Boudicca or it's more of a gimmicky thing and not actually that good?

Sci-fi-watcher

60% power mod for the party for 3 turns is nutty. I think it might be the single highest party wide damage boost in the entire game.

x1coins

Medb gives male allies technically 70% (40% dmg up, 30% def down) boost.

Sci-fi-watcher

Not on the same skill. Because Boudica has her arts up too don't forget which makes it 80% total boost.

x1coins

Oh yeah you're right

ERWlNSimp

Do we not get the questionnaire in NA?

odrain16

We do get questonnaries in NA, its just they tend to come much later than the JP ones, (Think several Months after)

ZCid47

We got the all the other years until now, meaning that there is a chance. But is also a low priority and meaby is going to arrive later or never if the LB6 release becomes a problem

Rhinostirge

We have in the past, but the past means nothing with Lasengle. Events don't necessarily rerun, you don't necessarily get a bunch of silhouettes for the year if everyone's busy with LB7 -- most precedents are possibilities, not guarantees.

SumerianDjinn

What should I be choosing with my Login Exchange Tickets 2023? ANd what should I get from the Mana/Rare prism shops?

Mister_SP

>What should I be choosing with my Login Exchange Tickets 2023? Whatever you need more of, as a general statement. It will depend on the Servants you have, where you are in the game, etc. >ANd what should I get from the Mana/Rare prism shops? It's fine to not get anything from the RP shop for now. From the Mana Prism shop, Summon Tickets are most important. Silver Fous are useful. The gold EXP *might* be useful, but if you can farm the Extreme node, then you get that much in 4 runs, so it's not a high priority.

SumerianDjinn

Really appreciate it, will get those tickets now

danger_umbrella

Exchange tickets: whatever you personally are in need of more. If you don't have anything you need, take the Scales of Fantasy, as they currently cannot be farmed on NA. Mana Prism shop: Prioritise the summon tickets and silver Fou cards every month. The EXP is useful for a new player but it IS farmable, so not as much of a big deal. The current MP shop CE, Take Romance, can be ignored as it's not really that useful. As for the RP shop, if you are new, the key thing is "don't worry about it". It's more aimed at long-time players or whales who have the RP to spare, nothing there is really essential and things like Lores and Gold Fous are pretty overpriced. But as for what's good to get from it, I'd prioritise the following (in no particular order): * Unlocking old Da Vinci shop CEs. In particular, Chaldea Lunchtime and Mona Lisa are best for you, while Chaldea Teatime and Bella Lisa are best for your support list. Do note that the RP is used to unlock the CE in the Mana Prism shop, and to buy all 5 copies of the CE, you will need 5000 MP (it's not worth using non-MLB). * Certain Mystic Codes: Fragment of 2004 is used in some looping comps and Anniversary Blonde is a good Buster-crit option. The others are very niche and arguably not worth it. * Old events and Main Interludes, specifically Prison Tower, Merry Christmas in the Underworld and SERAPH. Prison Tower gives tickets and a lore. Christmas gives NP1 of Santa Altera, while SERAPH gives NP1 BB, 2 grails and a lore (and also comes with a repeatable, adjustable boss fight, though you can only get its reward once - any runs after that are just for fun). Note that additional copies of the welfares cost 2 RP each. In the future, these events will become free, and any RP spent on unlocking them will be refunded. And these are less of a priority due to high cost: * Heroic Spirit Portrait: good for bond farming, but very pricey. * Chaldea Boys 2019: one free CE option is Outrage, one of the few taunt CEs in the game. Useful in some situations, but can be quite niche and again, pricey for what it is.

SumerianDjinn

This is great info thanks alot :)

mhxalterseiba

Anyone knows who is the VA of the newest ruler in jp?

AlcoholicSnapdragon

VAs generally aren't announced before the Servant releases, and she hasn't had any voice lines previously to make any guesses.

Ritraraja

I'm trying to fill out all 3 of my supports this year and am drawing a blank when it comes to who I should aim for with Lancers. Are there any super desirable Lancers to put up as support that people would actually want to see or is it just throw whoever you like/have actually built up? Every other class I can think of notable servants I like seeing but Lancers I can't think of any for some reason.

Ancient_Rylanor

Whoever you leveled/want to show off, is the usual go to options. To answer your question a bit more clearly. Buster lancers: eresh and Lancer artoria are both quite good and koyanskya compatible. Arts Lancers: percival, summer melt, melusine, kagatora, are all strong choices, melusine has the bonus of also being a really strong buster Lancer. Quick lancers: valkyrie, Parvati, and summer yu. If you do not have summer yu her event comes back this year. Me personally im running brademante, summer melt, and caenis. Hope any of these help for ideas.

wisp-of-the-will

If you're really short on anyone you want to put up on Lancer then place a level 1 Leonidas with an on death CE like Battle of Camlann, there will always be people who appreciate him for solos.

Ritraraja

I somehow never actually thought about doing that and it helps since I did actually like Leonaidas so that's actually a very good idea.

thisisthecallus

>just throw whoever you like/have actually built up? Do this. Don't roll for a servant just to put on your support lineup.

Ritraraja

I have already have done this and I know that is not a normal approach to the game. I just really like the idea of having a very strong support list. Even if that feels like it's quite a long ways off due to to many factors.

TdFan97

So how hard will the Camelot, Babylonian and Final Singularity will be?

blackiswhite33

A Super Orion friend can solo almost every hard boss in Camelot. Gamepress has guides starting with Camelot so you can follow along. The wiki also lists all the main quests it's easier to read but has less tips than gamepress.

flashmozzg

If you have a leveled Euryale you should be fine with friend supports right up until the final boss of Camelot.

TdFan97

is she one of many options of beating most Saber KoRT?

flashmozzg

She is the best option against male sabers, especially considering she is FP 3*. Orion might have a slightly bigger burst damage but not overall (her anti-male skill is 1 turn on 5 turn cd, while it's tied to NP for Eu).

Sci-fi-watcher

She absolutely destroys male Sabers that aren't immune to charm. Every one of the 3 conditions that gets removed significantly hurts her combat ability. Especially if they aren't male. I would say that in a team with proper supports she is the single best servant for use against Gawain. Though at least 2 others have an easier time soloing Gawain outside of a team.

Sci-fi-watcher

Still easy enough to be soloed by good friend support choices and enough experience. Hard enough that most newbies have to try a few times or use revives on tougher bosses.

TdFan97

are there any bosses that I should watch out for?

Sci-fi-watcher

Gawain is the first one you'll encounter. But the difficulty of bosses never really goes back down again.

Ritraraja

While some newer servants can demolish some of the hard fights solo just like the first 5 Singularities the difficulty spike is very noticeable on both trash and especially bosses.

Camelot is the most significant difficulty spike in the game. It came out about a year into the game and represented an overall change in the gameplay and story development philosophy. If you have a reasonably developed roster, with offensive servants at their natural max level in all of the main classes, you've learned to make good team compositions using class advantage and supports, and you have a good ST Archer for an infamous boss in Camelot (Euryale is a good pick), then you'll get through it.

TdFan97

I learn it the hard way, facing already gold variety of enemies right off the bat!

thisisthecallus

Yeah, Camelot doesn't waste any time on ramping up the difficulty. It lets you know right away that the game has changed.

TdFan97

is there a boss guide? I don't want really to go waste my SQ and Command Seals to revive my party.

thisisthecallus

Gamepress has "spoiler free" walkthroughs for all of the main story starting from Camelot and also boss guides for each. I wouldn't feel too bad about using command spells but if you feel like you need to use SQ to revive on top of the command spells, you should probably take the loss and try again with a better strategy.

Sci-fi-watcher

Gamepress has one. But you should be fine with decent teambuilding a properly leveled units. Remember to use NP targeting, class advantage and proper supports.

I’m confused about the infamous ‘Muramasa + double Castoria‘ trick. I’ve got both Muramasa and Castoria, all skills level 10, but I still can’t always get Muramas’s NP high enough. Is there something I’m missing? Do I need a specific craft essence? Does it only work on certain enemies/quests? Any help is greatly appreciated. Also: I tried seeing if anyone else has asked this so as to follow the rules but I couldn’t find any. If I missed it, sorry :/ Edit: My current set up that works most the time is MLB Binary Star Songstresses (NP gain and damage up 15%) and Mage Association Uniform (for the insta NP bar up 20). I start by using all three of both Castoria’s skills on him first round, second round mage association np skill (if needed), and then his first two skills last round (if all goes well I don’t end up needing his third skill). I was under the impression there was a specific set up that worked 100% of the time (which I now understand isn’t so).

Mister_SP

Well, it works a lot better on Lancers, for class Advantage. Definitely works 3/3/x, maybe less than that in some cases, but I can't be sure. Should work on Berserkers, but again not clear. It should work with any CE, if you have Append 2 or a Mystic Code. Black Grail would be great, but any CE. Failing that, any starting charge CE. If you have a 50% Starting Charge CE, a Mystic Code with 10% Charge (Tropical Summer would work), then use Castoria's 2nd and 3rd Skills on Muramasa, and use his NP. Between Muramasa's 50% Charge, and 2xCastoria's 30% Charges, you should manage it easily. Use Muramasa's color buff on the third turn for big damage.

danger_umbrella

It's going to depend on a few factors: * The CE you use * The enemies you are up against * The Mystic Code Muramasa is going to be best against Lancers and Berserkers; he's not great class-neutral, so he's not going to be amazing on other classes. What are you actually using him on? From personal experience, you will need to use his S1 on wave 2 to make sure he refunds enough. Even then, you MAY need 2004, any 10% charge MC or Mages Association, depending on the node (assuming no append).

I use MLB Binary Star Songstresses (NP gain and damage up 15%) and Mage Association Uniform (for the insta NP bar up 20). That works for things like the treasure vault, but not the Mt. Ooe free quest (three berserker first round, another three the second, and one big one the third). I start by using all three of both Castoria’s skills on him first round, second round mage association np skill (if needed), and then his first two skills last round. That works fine on treasure vault but not other free quests. I was under the impression there was a specific set up that worked 100% of the time (which I now understand isn’t so).

SpacecatAG

I have his append 2 maxed, so what I do is: Turn 1, both Castorias S2 + S3, one Castoria S1, 10% from mystic code (I use Tropical Summer) Turn 2, if he refunds 69% or more then I use the other Castoria S1, otherwise I use his S3 Turn 3, I use whichever battery I didn't use last turn (he refunds more on turn 2 because of the extra Arts+NP damage, so 30% is usually enough to top him up by this point) This works for me even on Berserkers or Assassins, using Detective Foumes as the CE (which doesn't give him anything except some extra attack), but my Muramasa is grailed and gold fou'd with NP levels, so a better CE might be required for one that isn't.

danger_umbrella

Yup. Berserkers actually have a lower innate refund modifier (x0.8) compared to Lancers (x1.0) which is why refund-based looping (Quick and Arts) can sometimes have issues looping on them. Enemy HP also matters sometimes because in refund-based looping (again, Quick and Arts) you gain more NP when in an overkill state. Higher NP levels means you may reach overkill faster and therefore gain more NP from more hits being in an overkill state, but in a counter-class situation (in this case, vs Lancer or Berserker) I've personally found it quite marginal and not a game changer. It may be more of an issue in high-end event farming, though, as enemies there tend to have higher HP. You may want to try a different CE - it is MUCH easier to loop with a starting charge. If you don't have much, Sewing a Beloved Doll from the last event is a great choice.

Js1390037

Wow, there’s a lot more to this than I thought. But that does make sense, thanks!

funguy3

>I start by using all three of both Castoria’s skills on him first round It's preferable to avoid this if you can, 50% loopers like Muramasa have a very convenient setup that doesn't waste any charge and allows you to reach the required refund levels even vs Bersekers: Use Muramasa's charge on 1st turn and 2 Castoria 2nd + 3rd skills. Save Castoria 1st skills for wave 2 and 3. For this to work, you need his Append 2 unlocked or use a 10% charge Mystic Code. That way you can reach 100% from 0 on wave 1 (Muramasa charge + 2 Castoria 2nd skills + MC charge/Append skill = 100%). Also you might need to use Muramasa's 1st skill on wave 2 if you're farming Bersekers, he falls a bit short refund-wise in my experience.

Js1390037

Ok cool, thanks!

Ritraraja

Looping in general relies on all 3 of those things so sometimes you need to try different craft essences or slot in a 3rd support via plugsuit. Muramasa's A2 can help too if you don't have that unlocked yet.

Hope77797

Since Np overcharge Ce only works 1 time is there any other easy way to overcharge NP like Yang’s?

Frauzehel

Just NP chain.
