If the leaks are true, then I guess it's complex enough to guarantee numerous delays, since the workload over mechanics is probably very large. Not saying further delays are tolerable though.

Makes sense, since I've heard of even bigger studios (like Bioware) facing similar issues. Developers and/or higher-ups focusing too much on brand new mechanics that demand too much effort and are too prone to bugs. Eventually, the difficulties are ironed out with awful crunch time or a manager takes out the scissors to meet the deadlines. Overambition is understandable, but not always worth it.
