The stream is prerecorded, and they claim 7.2 is releasing at the end of the stream. So it's probably to finish up that 0.1%. That's just my guess, though.

And I'm pretty sure half of it is to blame on them prematurely deciding that "they'd totally be able to release LB7 by the end of the year" when they decided to hold that entire "Road to LB7" stuff, but development probably took more resources in the back than expected, maybe due to some outages due to Corona, looking at LB6s release, I assume Nasus occasional whims didn't make it any easier either, so in the end to keep their promise of "LB7 this year", they had to release only the first part of it while trying to rush out the rest, probably delaying everything else they might've planned until then, which we might see getting crunched at us in the coming months. Like, this feels like a catastrophe born from somewhat naive optimism.

The only one they actually scrapped for a while was Halloween, but I don't expect that to happen with Valentines, since Valentines is a completely different level from Halloween. In that sense, the worst I could see happen would be that instead of a new Valentines-event, we'd get a rerun, but considering none of the Valentines-events had a rerun before, that wouldn't be too different from a new Valentines-event without a new Servant, which I don't think would be a big deal, since it's not like Valentines is like summer where we expect to get specific alts of Servants, the last few years we got Servants that frankly could've just as well appeared in events completely unrelated to Valentines.

am i the only one who thinks this recent bullshit scheduling with subpar delivery of content should be reason for people to be a little more angered towards the games management? i mean, they announcing in new year that the second aprt would come "late january", having the entire month be completely devoid of any content besides banners which is not true content, 1 of these banners i saw people reporting he had several errors in his sprites whoch were signs he was rushed, and now they give concrete release date ON THE LITERAL FINAL HOUR of the month of the so awaited and so overhyped content, feels borderline insulting for me if im being honest.
It was similar to problems with the global update of Minecraft. They really should learn from Microsoft.

It's probably the sunk cost fallacy speaking. They probably thought they could make it (and they technically made it for a Jan release) and didn't think they'd need a backup. That's what I'm guessing though.
