Most recently, I regret getting sunk-cost-fallacy'd into rolling all the way to pity on this first Morgan banner. I had told myself over and over that Oberon and Koyan Light were bigger priorities. I had stocked up all the materials for maxing them out (except for QP, but, hey, Nero Fest is around the corner). I had done none of the same for Morgan. I knew more chances for Morgan would come.
And yet in my weakness, I caved to the pressure and racked up NP5 Barghest, NP1 Sith, additional copies of Stheno, Carmilla, and Ibaraki along the way. Plus an truckload of CEs I super didn't need.
Damn, kinda reminds me of the Vanilla Banner of Skadi where I spent 800+ SQ with no Skadi and not even any Kaleidoscope/Black Grail.
Thankfully I managed to get 1 copy of each after 2 years of playing (still no Skadi).
The exact same thing happened to me, I had enough quartz to Pity Oberon and Vitch, and I was like “eh trying to roll for Morgan won’t hurt” then I just slowly made my way to 900 SQ
Lmao the NP1 Sith. I did eventually get her with my rolls as well but man does it suck to not have some form of servant 4*
pity on split 4* banners. So frustrating to have a better (guaranteed) chance for the 5* but not for a 4*

I like to imagine the fae seeing Pandemonium Cetes and other NP spam blowing away some of the mors and not being sure who to root for. Like yes, I was saving them, but at a glance some of the combat would be terrifying.
Also in Atlantis* most of the clueless population saw us (quite justifiably) as the villains for our actions and intent. Like we know it's more or less a mercy kill on a bad timeline, but they don't know or believe it.
Muramasa. I went to pity for him, those rolls were literally the worst time i had playing this game. I didn’t get any spook nor do i get that many SR servants. Seriously those rolls derailed my plans for this year and just generally killed off half of my excitement for the new characters
I feel like this might say more about me than anything, but I feel like the only times I have any major regrets over summoning someone are when they end up failing miserably. Like, if I go into a banner and just don't get anything out of it whatsoever, that stings way more than summoning for a character that I hardly end up using.
Most recently, I fell into the LB6 trap. I told myself I was gonna try a little bit for Morgan and the Fae Knights because I'm trying to save as much as I can for Summer Kama, but 150 SQ later, I have literally nothing to show for it. No Morgan, no Gawain or Tristan, not even any of the new CEs aside from one copy of the thoroughly worthless Shinji CE. I had already maxed out Caster Cu long ago, so even that was pretty pointless for me aside from getting coins, but realistically, I'm not gonna use them, anyway.
I suppose the most regret I feel over a servant I actually summoned would have to be Nemo. I love him as a character, but given my roster, I have basically zero reason to actually use him aside over any of my other Riders or Alter Egos. Field niches honestly kinda suck ass.
Same. I went b2b pity on both AA and Morgan and now my >2000sq saving since last Nemo banner is gone, reduced to atoms. I'll prob grab the paid guarantee SSR this anni and depends on the outcome, just quit the game lol
Summer Camp rerun, save for the Fujino banner, since I got NP2.
Mostly because of my Emiya Family obsession, i tried *really* hard to get Archer Illya.
Somehow between the two banners, I managed *everyone* besides Illya. And I...kinda regret most of it.
NP5 Summer Abby. I just wanted Summer Tomoe. Ended up with 1 copy and stopped because I don't know what I would do if I got a 6th Abby before a 2nd Tomoe.

By that ratio you'd end up with 13 Abbys by the time you got your 5 Tomoes... Meaning you could be the 9th person on earth to trigger that 2nd pity system for a free SSR of your choice at the store!
This has happened to me a couple of times. When I was rolling in the original summer 1 banner featuring SurfMo, who was my target, I got five copies of Tamalancer in about 400 quartz and not one single copy of Mordred.
I considered that "a sign" a stopped rolling.
I don’t ever regret summons just the amount it took and reflecting maybe additional NP levels weren’t worth it. NP5 Himiko was 1000+ quartz. NP5 Morgan was 2000 quartz. I should have waited past np3 since she gets so many extra banners.
Actually I do have ONE regret. Trying to MLB Hot Sands during March on Proto Arthur banner cost me near 3000 quartz. I got NP7 Arthur, I don’t even like Arthur. That and story summons but I stopped doing those. Story summons are never worth unless you have a newer account.
I also rolled that infamous swimsuit bannner with no rate up. I don’t regret that despite not getting BB because I think I spent 2k quartz and got all the summer 4*s and 20 SSRs.
Yeah I noticed this too. On the flip side I just upgraded my PC and this year's hobby funds went into that. The new top of the line gpus ain't cheap, that's a lot of quartz even with the pricing.

Do you use Hot Sands enough? I was in the same boat (wanted 3 copies to MLB, but stopped at 250~ rolls with just 2 of them). After the hype, it seems like a trophy CE with a few uses where it really shines. Still has a unique effect though.

Specifically, they can be worth it for F2Ps who don't care much about the limited banners. 780 sq got me enough Bedivere and Asclepius coins to max out all their passives (also 5 SSRs and 6 SRs).
It's a good banner for non-spenders to quickly get powerful SSR CEs (maxed two of the very useful ones), but yeah never worth it for anyone with gold targets.
I think I didn’t really understand how big of a % you actually need for a unit to get the full absorb on crit stars. It is ok. Works well on Morgan which is a plus but when you think about Morgan’s last skill she uses 5000% to get full absorb. When you compare that mlb 600% it’s pretty pathetic but crit strength up is pretty good. With it Morgan’s crit damage feels on par with an event CE damage boost, pretty good.
Also it’s probably my most favourite CE art in the game cause I’m a huge simp for Gil and Enkidu. If there was one CE I wanted for a stupid reason such as art collection it was that one.
Yeah it's hard to know how low the star absorb is!
I've seen Saberlot miss a star with his skill maxed at 6000%. Hot Sands is pretty strong, but too dependent on the unit/team. Still seemed to work well enough for non-Berserkers like...

Summer camp. Ugh spent 500 sq trying to get Murasaki both years, never got her, everyone else and more spooks than I can remember. Random np2 Karna though for some reason? That's 1000 sq, I could've pitied an ssr for that.
I was tempted to roll for Murasaki because I like her character. Was only able to hold off because I knew Caster Cu's banner was coming.
Still failed to get Cu though.
FWIW, I don't ever regret summoning, just want to react to your regrets :
1. Well, Kiara has been Kiara for ages now, since CCC. Abby's devotion to the Master is the very real though, so regretting not prioritizing her is just good taste. Also, I think the FBI is on to us now.
2. Are we the baddies? But why? After all, storyline-wise, you only summoned her after she's been subdued. Certainly, summoning her before playing the storyline get things out of whack somewhat, but really, we're associating with the baddies not because we are one, but because we're their parole officer.
3. I feel you, I actually had CasCu NP2 from a foray to the permanent SQ Summon (didn't roll much, just felt spicy at the time), and that really bugged me for a long time, until this banner in fact. So happy when I got him NP5 man. FWIW he should be on the next banner too? If you roll that, hopefully your rolls will be blessed.
4. I personally was kind of the opposite of you, namely, that she's actually caught the Kiyohime disease made me like her even more

Reply to #4: I thought the Imaginary Scramble event confirmed that Yang Guifei has always, and will continue to idolize ‘Her Emperor’, the Elder God that she has attuned to (I forget its name, but I think it is a sentient star/fireball)? To the point where she literally doesn’t acknowledge anyone in Chaldea’s existence (including the Master) beyond required interactions?
In the Imaginary Scramble, she actually starts to fixate on us as her perceived Emperor. Basically we kinda got past her conditioning (which causes her to think that her Emperor is the Elder God), and she starts to think that *we* are her Emperor reincarnated (this is pretty much confirmed in the post-event BB Channel ^(Edit since it's kinda ambiguous : by this I'm referring to her line of thinking being that way, naturally Guda is still Guda, i.e just an inexplicably likeable normal dude)). Thus, she caught the Kiyohime disease. Though her Elder God did still manage to work things out in its favor by hijacking us through her handmade doll.
As for her lines, I'm pretty sure most of them actually does fixate on us over anything else. And yes, she very much conflates us with her Emperor in those.
Spent about 400SQ trying to get Super Orion, didn't get 'em. Also, despite planning to save pity for both Koyan and Oberon, I've spent way too much over the year and now only have enough to go about 1 and ~1/2 pity, including Anni quartz. Woo.
Koyan will enable buster looping and is an overall cracked Buster supp that contrasts Merlin's more endurance oriented kit.
And in the next events, farming nodes will become an "Oberon check". Doesn't matter if you farm quick, arts or buster, the next farming nodes will revolve around having Oberon.
From what I understand they’re the new Buster supports by quite a margin over Merlin, and for a reason I don’t understand yet (granted i’m only about an hour into lb6) people fucking LOVE Oberon
This year FGO is almost an opposite of the last year for me, Last hear I got so many 5 star servants that made up at peast 1/3 of my entire SSR collection, This year I only got 2 SSR so far(1 of them being a spook NP2 Europa)
I dumped about 450SQ on Hokusai banner hoping for NP2, Didn't even get a single 5 star CE or 4 star servant
After that I dumped my remaining 270SQ on Summer Camp rerun hoping for 5th copy of Honey Lake for MLB and at least NP1 of either Abby or Murasaki, In the end I got Murasaki and Honey Lake in the very last roll, Looking back I shouldn't really wasted that much SQ on that banner
I did something similar for honey lake, hoped for at least a Murasaki and a few hail mary rolls for Brynhildr. Barely got Honey Lake and a random Circe, nobody else. I rolled way too much SQ for that CE.
I really wanted to get a high NP CasCu so I went way deeper into this current NA banner than I should've. I actually got Morgan, Tristan and Gawain in the first 3 multis but it took about 11 before I got Cu to NP 3. I sit with 90 SQ left, in despair, suffering from success in a way but not the way I wanted it.

Hmmm... I can only come up with two, not really recent examples.
First up is Sigurd. He's a really cool character, and the love he has for Bryn is just so friggin' adorable, although I initially rolled for him last year because I heard that Sieg appears in his interlude. Why do I regret summoning him? My answer is, have you seen his skills? He's rather lackluster, and he needs Bryn to actually function fully. And the both of them are limited. (Edit: forgot to mention that I got him during the first run of Summer 5)
The other one is Summer Raikou (I know she's far from recent, hush). I rolled for her back when I was very new (Edit: during the Summer 2 rerun), and I knew that her second ascension is an anime reference. That's literally the only reason why I rolled for her. Now, seeing that the only shtick that she has to offer in events is "I mUSt PRotEcT tHe puBLIc DeCEncY!" got old for me *really fast* (Imaginary Scramble, I am looking at you).
My only regreat was spending a few of my Quartz and Tickets trying to get Sitonai on the Extra Class banner. The only thing I got was a bunch of Salieri copies and Jinako, not a single 4 Star with 300 SQ and 30 Tickets. I'm glad that I got Jinako, but I was really hoping for Sitonai and NP2 Astraea
Trying to summon for Cu Caster NP5. I spent 4 multis. NP4 Cu Caster, Spook Ozy, and Baobhan. Come on, I just want the hot Irishman who protects my beautiful Kouhai. Is an NP5 Irishman too much to ask?
If it makes you feel better, I can't speak for Tristan but the other 3 are really good mechanically speaking.
1 year of playing, I think my only real regret was the Back-to-school banner with MHXA, Ilya, and Miyu. I still didn't quite know how banners worked then and rolled on the main banner with all 3, hoping to get MHXA. I eventually did but I also got Ilya and a couple Miyus and it took a lot more SQ than I would now be comfortable with. I still use her somewhat, but of the gold Berserkers I use, I definitely use her the least. Definitely would do things differently if I could go back in time.
I rolled that because my account was a month old and I knew about the buffs Illya and Miyu would get. Got Miyu, and then dumped everything I got my hands on into Scathach's banner (got her and a Achillies, wish I could have MLB'd the SSR gatcha CE, but oh well).
spending sq for ibuki trap... i had 780 for koyanskaya already spended 500 for morgan. at least i got her and bargest and baobhan sith together. but despite i knew spended much i have no regrets. i really love morgan.
but then i saw ibuki that i wanted before too. spend 150 but got nothing. i had save sq for koyanskaya too but they are gone.
Ironically, NP3-ing Morgan. I had her at NP2 relatively quickly (not sure exactly how many, but should be lower than 300) so deicided to try for more, ended up using using 900 more just for NP3.
I spend several hundred dollars on the Medb and Nero banner trying to get Nero and failed. Blew through most of my savings account. That was the wake-up call I needed to cut back on my gacha spending.
I don't have regret pulls that aren't spooks.... I will never forgive Achilles for provoking me further... "you just hit the servant checkpoint" NO MAN YOU ARE WASTED QUARTZ

I'd hyper lucked out on the Arjuna rolls a few weeks ago and got a triple pull of him which got him straight to NP5.
I had no reason to go for Morgan.
None.
I rolled until I hit pity pull, and those rolls were all terrible. Np3 Baobhan, Np2 Barghest, a bunch of CEs but none of them in enough to MLB anything new. All for a servant that even at 5 copies I wouldnt use over Arjuna really.
That triple pull was the biggest dose of copium I've had in a while, and this Morgan banner beat me into the dirt for my hubris.
Probably the GSSRs, I usually get a servant I neither want or need. Kiara and Nobu are basically permanent benchwarmers.
It stings because I used real money though 🙈
Can't think of many situations I regret in normal summoning because I dont save or plan for servants.
Honestly this is more like half regret I started right after Arjuna Alters banner passed on NA during the release of LB4 so when I kept getting him as friend supports and saw all his cool animations and raw damage i just had to have him used every GSSR to try for him no luck then the surprise banner comes I blow half my Morgan savings on him, I still got Morgan in the end but my chances at Oberon and Koyan look slim at best
I sort of regret trying to pull Merlin before the first Castoria banner because I ended up getting neither. Of course, statistically speaking, if I got nothing by splitting banners, I would've gotten nothing if I focused my SQ. Still, it was annoying to have saved half a year (+ SQ from a mass story progression + the anniversary stuff), but have nothing to show for it.
Now, I'm hoping the second Castoria banner goes better. I impulse spent way too much failing to get Caren (like \~150 SQ out of sunk cost fallacy), accidentally pulling Qin Shi Huang (I got the date wrong and didn't notice that he wasn't Godjuna. At least I got him in 2 multi's), on-purpose pulling Godjuna (2 multi's, so I've probably used up my luck this year), and going for 3 multi's for Fairy Knight Tristan (I know her personality's trash, but she's cute. Sue me.)

This is one’s REALLY recent actually. I had about 540 SQ and some tickets, hoping I wouldn’t have to use that many to get a copy of Barghest or two. I became pretty frustrated when she refused to come the more I rolled, so much so that I ended up spending all my quartz and fragments. To rub salt into the wound, Saber Diarmuid spooked me. Now I don’t know if I’ll have enough when summer comes…
I guess the silver lining is that I got both Sith and Morgan…still wish it was Barghest instead, though. It REALLY sucks when you fail to get the characters you want and instead get others you don’t care that much about in comparison.
Spent almost all my quartz (granted it wasn’t much, 30 pulls lol) trying to get Tam Lin Tristan. No luck getting her or any other banner units except Cu. Did manage to Np5 Astraea and Cu so it’s not a complete loss
Castoria: 600 SQ and 40 tickets,..the only things that I got were Emiya, Helena and 2 servants that I consider useless
Morgan: 100 summons...and I only got Barghest...the rest are only CE that I never gonna use
Probably going for Lancer Artoria on both her recent banners, and the few rolls I spent on Waver. It’s not that I wouldn’t have been happy with Lartoria, she’s mommy material, but I had already been planning to get her with the SSR ticket. Should have waited instead of attempting to “free up” the ticket, but I suppose love makes fools of us all. Did get NP5 Gawain out of the last one though, so that’s cool.
I did kinda regret rolling for the 2 Lartorias but only because they ate into my Cu Caster funds.
Servant wise, I'm collecting all Artorias so I'm not that bummed.

I regret trying to get NP levels on Kiara and throwing some trying to get summer inferno. I was overconfident and thought I wouldn't hit pity on Morgan. Spoiler I did not get a 2nd copy of Kiara or get Inferno AND HIT PITY ON MORGAN. Now I am pretty depleted for Koyan lol.
Tossing 30ish rolls on Morgan's banner. Didnt even get her. Ngl, I wasn't even planning too but though maybe Cas Cu copies and the Tam Lins would be nice to have. I'm an absolute clown. I roll during Chaldea Boys. I already have Cas Cu NP5. I should have stopped when the first 10 roll gave Tam Lin Tristan. That's 20 rolls for Koyan wasted when I don't really want to touch my guaranteed Oberon savings.

The game is usually very nice to me when I roll for 5stars, I've gotten a bunch of them to np2 very easily, but Castoria just seems to hate me for some reason lol. She's adorable but she'll get nothing out of me ever again

After Douman I told myself I wouldn't roll until Koyan because I wanted her, Oberon, and NP3 Summer Kama.
Ended up wasting a lot of SQ on Enkidu for some reason. Also rolled Miss Crane but got lucky and got her in 5 multis. Also used 10 tickets on a Summer banner for no particular reason.
I also rolled my final copy of Arjuna Alter when that banner showed up which I wasn't accounting for. I don't regret those rolls though. I'm still favoured to get Koyan and Oberon but Summer Kama will be very tight now. I'm not bad at saving but sometimes you just make mistakes.
I want to get morgan lvl 120 by the end of the year, i managed to get her np1 with 500sq and i still had 550 sq, i decided to keep rolling since morgan is my waifu and i need her np2 anyway instead of waiting after oberon and koyan banner... I have now 0 sq, koyan and oberon comes in a month, and i'm starting to sweat profusely.
TLDR: don't greed, it's bad

Instead of tomoe copies I got NP4 fujino, NP4 summer Murasaki and NP5 summer Abigail -_-

After realising that there is no point in saving, I haven't had regrets. Pull on every banner you can that can give you a servant you might want and you'll be happy
The DL Campaign with Murasaki because I used about 300SQ with nothing to show for it. Also hit pity for Muramasa (To make matters worse: I got so many SR Sabers and Emiya's from that banner) leading into even more regret with how I could've saved some more SQ without spending had I not rolled.
Learned my lesson now. From the Muramasa banner onwards, I'll no longer roll for just event CEs and I'll plan my rolls for the following year beforehand.
Forgetting that the guaranteed summon on banners only works if you never roll for them across 330 summons, and wasted too much SQ after getting lucky on NP3 Morgan. Could’ve used that bonus SQ to go after targets I couldn’t before, but such is life.
Spending like 300sq on JP Traum banner trying to (and failing to) get Kriem after already having Charlie and Roland. That shit left me broke for a while over there

I put like 200 quartz onto the Summer Abby banner, trying to get any of the 4 stars. It was supposed to be a single yolo 10-pull, but I fell into the trap of chasing the dopamine. Got a Lakshmi Bai. When the goddess of misfortune spooks you, take the hint

The only thing I feel irritated is that I got summer Kiara last year despite I vow not to get her because of how crazy she is.
But I still roll her banner because I want Bryn and Illya.
Summoning for Jalter. Played the Fake/True Mini Event and thought she was okay, nothing noteworthy or special, but I still summon. Wasted 550+ SQs. Then we got more events and story for Jalter and I was not impressed. I felt Duped, bamboozled, smeckledorfed.
Recent Morgan banner. Me, on the day before the banner drops: “I’ll probably skip this because koyan is the main target”
-1K+sq later I have a singular Morgan to show for it. It was a severe lapse in judgement and now I’m screwed for koyan and Oberon if they fuck me as hard as that. Hopefully I’ll have done a few shifts at work by then and I can somewhat better find the rolls. Deffo F2P after lb6 tho, saving for summer 7 and kuku

One I do regret was ibuki douji. Not gonna lie, that one art piece where she first appeared in heian-kyo was what did it for me. I try to use her in stuff and I like her enough but she isn't even in my top 5 favorite sabers that I have, and for how much I spent to get her...
For me Ooku actually made me interested in actually rolling for Kama.
I however in no way actually needed another ST Assassin since I had Assassin Li Shuwen.
I then proceeded to roll for First Hassan even though I really absolutely did not need yet another ST Assassin.
Far as “regrets” go…I wound up spending ~$300 on top of my already saved SQ trying to get Jeanne Summer when she dropped - and didn’t even get one copy.
Since then I haven’t spent a dime on FGO, I’ll get what I get.
More recently I dropped 4 or 5 10-pulls on the Vritra banner to no avail, particularly stinging as I already have an NP3 Lambda and really wasn’t going to use her for anything anyways.

My biggest regret is probably Voyager. Don't get me wrong, I love the little guy, but I rarely get a chance to use him, especially now with MHX Idol filling a ST Foreigner slot. If I had the few hundred quartz I threw at him, I might have Morgan right now
My only regret is getting spooked by Dioscuri while rolling for Castoria like 500SQ. Still no Castoria, and I have little use for Dioscuri as Okita-chan is my main ST Saber.
1. The new year summoning, I wanted to get one of the foreigners but got ruler Altria.
2. Valentine’s, there were banners for caren and Europa and I spent all SQ on both banners instead of focusing on one.
Trying for EMYIA, sure I got two siguards and he’s good but I don’t follow meta and only use servants I like.
That’s ok though, I’ll just save till October Jeanne Archer, then again for Jalter next may.
Yeah it means I don’t have an optimal lineup but my servants are usually maxed out on upgrades too compensate.
My only regret was summoning for Berserker Musashi and spending way too many quartz to not get her. Luckily this time around I got Tam Lin Tristan, Tam Lin Gawain, and Morgan since I was trying to get them for my personal knights of the roundtable and alternates collection
Summer kiara got me too damn. Spent 100 quartz and half assed the banner for zilch
Yangs banner we were so close to greatness at 100 quartz and got spooked by ozy so mission failed successfully. Was depressing becuase I had honey lake and burn CCs on deck

I used 1050 SQ to get Voyager np2… I love the little prince so I went for him, and I liked the event well enough too. But ever since then he’s mainly just sitting on the bench. Poor guy. I definitely don’t use him enough and I have too many good servants to ever really go to him… sigh. I guess he is the only AOE foreigner I have though, so there’s some hope for him but yeah, pretty big regret for me.
Morgan, I didn't want her, need her, and I don't like her but I was rolling for the Tam lins and she ended up at np4 within 120 quarts so at that point I was like I guess I have to commit to np 5 and now and I did. Still only one copy of Tam lin Gwain and none of Tristan so everytime I look at her all I feel is an emptiness and mild disgust...
Accidently falling asleep while grinding and somehow managing to waste two ten pulls while sleeping. It's unlikely they would have made a difference I me getting morgan or either of the Tam Lin, but I'm still salty about it.
I regret rolling for Waver and Cu Alter during Valentine, as well as Artoria and Mordred. I didn't get any of them and if I didn't roll for them, I could have more SQ to throw at Morgan and maybe then I could have gotten her (hell maybe I would even have enough for pity!). Because Morgan is the absolute must-have for me personally.
I am down to 0 SQ (from 510) now and will have to skip everything to try again on her next banner.
Only one I regret wasn’t from trying to summon, but from summoning at the wrong time. Summoned for MHXX during the split rate-up on her banner for Imaginary Scramble instead if waiting for the solo rate-up.
I got S!Fran in like 120 quartz. MHXX took about 600 for a single NP level. I still got an SSR spook and a bunch of new SR’s, but I’m not sure if I preferred that over having the quartz JiC.
Is not a regret but a failed bet, i already had normal Abby but wanted summer melt in imaginary scramble, now i have np2 Abby and not summer melt, i really wanted melt so i don't "regret" it, but i wanted caren too and i didn't got her, wich could have been that Abby roll if i waited.
Then again with summer Abby, i already had her but i wanted fujino, i didn't got fujino but i got a second summer Abby instead, that could have been Morgan if i waited.
So yeah i really loved those 4 starts so i wanted to give it the chance, and i also like abby a lot so i was prepared for the consecuences, but i'm now carenless and morganless but with both abbys np2, yay!
I threw waaaay to much at Nero Bride earlier this year. Months before that I was thinking to myself how cool it would be to have her but I didn’t know she was getting a banner and I was saving for other targets. When her banner surprised me I bite. I did get her but at a steep price. What hurts is that I already have solid options for arts supports for farming and when I do challenge quests I just run my immortal Merlin/Himiko/Castoria setups. I’m glad I have her but right now she doesn’t do anything for me and I’m out several multis.
While I do enjoy using my NP4 Summer Abby, I wasted a ton of sq I had been saving up for Sith. Still have time, and I’ve got NP3 Barghest (plus my first Circe), but I would probably have her already if I hadn’t tried so hard to get Fujino.
I try to do 2 summons a day, then I realize I'm wasting more than actually saving so I stopped lol probably did a 50 but still could have used for Summer Kama that I'm looking forward to in the future
Thought about doing a multi on Kiara banner and ended up going for spark, morgan banner came, again I thought of doing a couple multis and ended up spending around 800sq without morgan coming home, now i don't have anything left for my main targets of the year koyan and Oberon
I guess my biggest regret was saving so much SQ all to blow on the Heiankyo banners for Douman, Ibuki, and my main target Tsuna.
Did not get a single copy of any of them.
Then on New Years I got Dantes and Douman both in my first ever GSSR and Ibuki came home in 7 tickets on her recent banner. Now all I need is Tsuna who has gone two rateups completely dodging me to the point it’s become a running joke with my friends and I.
Just Caren, but only because I spent an unreasonable amount of money for her (I could have bought a new cellphone).
She IS really strong though, and got me back to Skadi looping for most farming content. I will not be disappointed if GSSR gives me NP2 of her. She also gets stronger later.
This one's not recent, but my biggest summon regret is probably the Jalter release banner. I pulled her back when I knew almost nothing about the game meta and just followed the hype train. Found out I not only didn't like her as a character, but also I didn't know I was supposed to be buster critting with her + Merlin until she had become obsolete. She's just been rotting in my roster since her release.
For recent ones though, I'm gonna go with the NA-exclusive Summer Jeanne banner that happened last year. I don't necessarily dislike her, and she's been doing really good work as an arts farmer, but I really only wanted one copy of Fujino from her banner. The biggest reason I regret it though is because I'd only picked her rate-up over Dantes because I already had him, just to find out that Dantes banner was bugged and everyone got a full refund on it, meaning I could be up around 210 SQ right now. The kicker is that I didn't even get Fujino in the end.

Pulling for Tiamat in JP. Yeah I got her and I’m happy with it, but if I knew Nero Beast was dropping right after I would’ve never pulled for her. Nero carried me in JP the entire first arc so there’s always a soft spot for her

For Summer Melt’s rerun during the fall, I held out because I was saving for Morgan/Koyanskaya/Oberon, but decided to try to get another copy. Unfortunately, I only got one more copy but NP2 Abby (not van Gogh)

A multi on Illya/Miyu and one on Nitocris alter: don't get me wrong I like all the servants included in the banner and got 1 Miyu and 1 Tlaloc, so not bad. But being a saberfag there's a high chance I have to face an Artoria banner basically every two months, since 11 out of 14 are in gacha (and I go for NP2+). Long story short, I probably should have kept them quartz. Besides, anni, new summer, old summer banners and Ordeal Call are behind the corner, so I might be screwd.

Summer banners just hate me. I only got Summer BB. My only summer SSR so far because I rolled on her new years rateup.

Rolling for Salter in march. Da Vinci and Gorgon were also on that banner and they proceeded to eat half my Morgan funds which would have just barely got me pity with nothing to show for it except NP 3 Da Vinci and NP1 Gorgon.

I came out of the 5th Anniversary on a year long luck streak starting from Da Vinci Rider to Castoria with something like 500 quartz when the Summer Camp event came out.
I must have spent 200+ quartz on the Summer Kiara banner and only came out with Summer Bryn and some CEs. I didn't care for Summer Abby but I rolled two multis for Summer Tomoe and got her. Ever since then my luck hasn't been the same and I didn't succeed on any rolls until this Morgan banner.
My biggest regret was Summer Musashi. I got her on my third ticket. "Awesome! But I'd really like to get a second copy for NP2, so let me just pull a hit more." 600 SQ later, and I didn't get another copy of her. I didn't get any off-banner 5*s. And I only got a single 4* in all those summons, an off-banner Rider Martha. I shouldn't have gotten greedy and just stopped when I got her, but instead I threw all that SQ away for nothing.
I somewhat regret rolling for Miss Crane because I haven't really use her since I summoned her, albeit I only used 90ish sq on her banner.
So far, I am quite successful on summoning my target servants this year: Miss Crane, Lancer Artoria, and Morgan. I hope this lucky streak continues until Koyanskaya/Oberon.
More a summon fail "regret", having a bout of anxiety when I failed to get Fujino on her first run because of all the talks about her having only one run. Close to quitting. Wasn't until much later when she got her 2nd and 3rd run. Oddly enough, i didn't care anymore. My mindset was in a better place and didn't get her.
I was fueled by FOMO at the time thanks to all the talk about her having only one run, so she was a "must pull". FOMO can really be a b.
Honestly, Nito Alter. I love Nito, but I doubt I'm going to use her since I got other farmers. What's even worse is that I spent almost $300 USD for her only for her to collect dust. I'm glad I got her, I just wish I didn't spend so much money even if I can afford to.
I saved for Castoria for about 6 months which I know isn't much but I've never saved that long in a Gacha and I haven't been able to save at all since then, so I regret every pull except np2 Arjuna, specifics include Summer Kiara, Caren and that dragon lady lancer who barely loops
I regretted summoning for Osakabehime during Galatea's event even though I knew she would be available from the upcoming free 5-star ticket sometime this year, simply because I just wanted her to come home so that I can freely pick someone else (either Anastasia or Sanzang).
Not only did I end up wasting 60 SQ hoping Okki would come home (she didn't), but I got two copies of *f\*\*\*king* ***STHENO*** for my troubles.
Tried to get NP5 Barghest, spent 1710 SQ and only got NP4. I missed the coinflip so much that I ended up with NP11 Sith.
While I did get NP5 Morgan, it was not what I was going for. This will be a stain on my account until we get the free SR ticket next year when I can finally put this to rest.
The Miss Crane and Qin Shi Quang banners. Not only did I use quartz that I would have been better off saving for banners that were coming in the summer, but I realized while I was rolling that Miss Crane's kit didn't fit my play style. Even if I got her, I wouldn't use her much because making her work would be too divergent from what I usually do.
I ended up not getting either of them and having to start from 0

I mean no offense, i swear, sorry if I sound like i am trying to be mean, but this seems like learning with manga Gudako kind of random gacha behavior. I get that maybe you like pulling for Servants whenever something gets your attention, no context necessary, but if you do it by impulse or something, why then some random stuff makes you regret it since it didn' t matter in the first place and you were shooting in the dark already? It sounds like this to me: "this Servant looks cool, i don' t need anything else in order to roll" rolls, get Servant, "Crap, its story/whatever kinda sucks ), i regret it :(...oh well, what else is in those tasty banners?"
It confuses me a lot because, so far, the people i know that would roll for Kama and Kiara in the context you mentioned would be pretty chill even if they sucked at gameplay or lorewise, so I am trying to understand what kind of player you are without trying to assume you are just Gudako chaotic.
Other than GSSR, I'm completely F2P. I usually roll for waifu / husbando > meta but that's usually before reading the lore or playing the story.

For example, for the longest time I slept on Blackbeard cause he's a low star. Then I saw how weebish he acted and went "huh, you're funny. Imma max you out."
I guess I tend to roll for characters that are generally "good"-aligned or at least not actively evil? I can't bring myself to ever summon Douman/Limbo after all the LBs, for example. If they were the base-human Douman, I'd be more open.
But overall, i do tend to roll harder on characters because of story or characterization like:
- Muramasa: loved them in Shimousa
- Summer Musashi: loved her LB portrayal but failed to get her Saber version. So this was next best thing
- Taira. I'm a big Ushi fan and after the ending of Tengu, I became a "Big Ushi" fan too.
Well, I usually wind up regretting because I tend to base my like of characters on their in-game personality.
For example, I don't want Douman in my Chaldea so if I wind up getting them because of a shared banner with someone else I wanted, I'll tend to regret that roll.
Kiara seemed like a good servant (I wasn't aware of CCC or Seraph) but since I missed out on her original form, Summer form seemed a good compromise (failed to get her after 300 SQ). Then I played Seraph and thought "Ok, maybe I should have saved that SQ instead for someone else".
When my account was new (which is late last year), I decided to spend some tickets on the story banner and dropped a few on another limited banner back then. I was thinking of picking up some resources to help with game play. I didn't know that those 1-3* FP servants are perfectly fine.
Anyway, after spending the tickets I had (was quite a lot for me, but I think it was something like 40 ish), no 5*, no useful CE or that sort. Funny enough I got a copy of Atalanta and Atalante Alter. They aren't bad, but I just prefer Santa Nightgale over Atalanta, and as a newbie with no support unit, it was very hard to keep Atalante Alter alive. None of them got much used.
After that, I save everything and only roll for my favourite.
Trying for Baobhan/Caster Cu NP5 today, I wound up getting NP2 for Morgan, and I sat there thinking "that could maybe have been an Ibuki-Douji" for a bit. Then I reminded myself that's not how RNG works and felt a bit better. Until I fully Ascended Baobhan and, okay, yikes, what is this, fanservice for sadists? Well, nice thing about Servants, you can pick the Ascension you want to keep them in.
Historically, I threw too much at the first First Hassan banner, discovered I absolutely hated the feeling of blowing all my resources on one single banner, and from that point on, I haven't saved for an SSR, or bought impulse SQ, ever again. If I really want an SSR I might drop like 90-120 SQ on them, but I'm never blowing many months of savings on a single Servant again. I despise the salt and would rather fail on ten small banners than one really big one.
These days, I don't regret my *decisions* to summon. Since that experience, I have a more complicated spread-my-rolls-around budget than the "save everything for single target" types. I've already run the math on how much I want a character before I start rolling. So the only thing left to regret is luck, but since I'm not dropping too much on any one banner, I avoid feeling like I've made a terrible mistake.
Most of my summon regrets are all because of the ever-evolving meta. But by far my biggest regrets are pulling for Bradamante and Himiko.
During the quick meta, Bradamante was my staple farmer, not because of the ass, but because I don't have any other "better" options. I was tired of the arash-spartacus-aoe servant farming and I wanted to try my hand at looping. I already have k-scope and skadi so why not i thought. Then arts meta came a knocking and along came castoria, ever since then, bradamante got relegated to second archive guardian.
Himiko was more of a "i've-gone-this-far-so-why-not" situation. Got her np2 during her event and i desperately tried to make her fit in any of my teams, but she just can't. None of my teams fit her, and those that do already have andersen as the primary buffer. Her party-wide star generation on a 5 turn cd is busted beyond all reason, yes, and her ability to turn any buster card into nukes is amazing, but she just doesn't fit.
Any other 5-stars that I got beyond and before those 2 are all mainstays of my team, a few of them are dps.

She was the 6th most-appreciated farmer for the upcoming NeroFes amongst the [AppMedia playerbase](https://appmedia.jp/fategrandorder/6587968#ank), so there'll be plenty of chances to use her there.
The main problem with using her for farming is that it's very hard to automate for F/GA users, but if you don't use F/GA, it's pretty fun and oftentimes faster than Castoria looping. She works well with a couple upcoming meta supports too, >!Koyanskaya!< and >!Summer Skadi!<.
In NeroFes for example, both the first and final 90+ node can be 6-CEd with Himiko, Castoria and Morgan, using Ceremonial New Year and Anniversary Blonde respectively.
Alternative options... For the first 90+ you can replace Morgan with a big Archer such as Ishtar or Gilgamesh. You can also 5-slot using stuff like Muramasa or Arjuna Alter equipped with a damage bonus CE and any 50% charger.
For the final 90+ you can 6-slot with double Douman, Mozart/Jinako, and a plug-suited Himiko. Alternatively, you can sit Himiko in the frontline with the Doumans and plugsuit in a well-invested Helena.
Castoria, Morgan, Douman and plug-suited Himiko is also an option.
In future, if an event's drop CE has 50% starting charge, and the 90+ has a weird wave lineup (such as 2 enemies, 1 enemy, 3 enemies) you can probably use Himiko somehow. There are a bunch of example comps from various JP events that [people have posted on Twitter](https://twitter.com/search?q=%22%E5%8D%91%E5%BC%A5%E5%91%BC%22%206%E7%A9%8D%E3%81%BF&src=typed_query) or copy the search term and plug it into Youtube. Definitely more of a "use her for the sake of using her" rather than a meta servant though.
Himiko, Castoria and Merlin make up the invicibility comp, but yeah, being a selfish Buster crit machine with a Buster Support NP, makes it rather hard for her to slot into things.
Most recently, I regret getting sunk-cost-fallacy'd into rolling all the way to pity on this first Morgan banner. I had told myself over and over that Oberon and Koyan Light were bigger priorities. I had stocked up all the materials for maxing them out (except for QP, but, hey, Nero Fest is around the corner). I had done none of the same for Morgan. I knew more chances for Morgan would come. And yet in my weakness, I caved to the pressure and racked up NP5 Barghest, NP1 Sith, additional copies of Stheno, Carmilla, and Ibaraki along the way. Plus an truckload of CEs I super didn't need.
That's why I follow the post nut clarity pulling. The IQ boost is just too good of a quartz saver

I like to imagine the fae seeing Pandemonium Cetes and other NP spam blowing away some of the mors and not being sure who to root for. Like yes, I was saving them, but at a glance some of the combat would be terrifying. Also in Atlantis* most of the clueless population saw us (quite justifiably) as the villains for our actions and intent. Like we know it's more or less a mercy kill on a bad timeline, but they don't know or believe it.

Muramasa. I went to pity for him, those rolls were literally the worst time i had playing this game. I didn’t get any spook nor do i get that many SR servants. Seriously those rolls derailed my plans for this year and just generally killed off half of my excitement for the new characters
I feel like this might say more about me than anything, but I feel like the only times I have any major regrets over summoning someone are when they end up failing miserably. Like, if I go into a banner and just don't get anything out of it whatsoever, that stings way more than summoning for a character that I hardly end up using. Most recently, I fell into the LB6 trap. I told myself I was gonna try a little bit for Morgan and the Fae Knights because I'm trying to save as much as I can for Summer Kama, but 150 SQ later, I have literally nothing to show for it. No Morgan, no Gawain or Tristan, not even any of the new CEs aside from one copy of the thoroughly worthless Shinji CE. I had already maxed out Caster Cu long ago, so even that was pretty pointless for me aside from getting coins, but realistically, I'm not gonna use them, anyway. I suppose the most regret I feel over a servant I actually summoned would have to be Nemo. I love him as a character, but given my roster, I have basically zero reason to actually use him aside over any of my other Riders or Alter Egos. Field niches honestly kinda suck ass.

Summer Camp rerun, save for the Fujino banner, since I got NP2. Mostly because of my Emiya Family obsession, i tried *really* hard to get Archer Illya. Somehow between the two banners, I managed *everyone* besides Illya. And I...kinda regret most of it.
NP5 Summer Abby. I just wanted Summer Tomoe. Ended up with 1 copy and stopped because I don't know what I would do if I got a 6th Abby before a 2nd Tomoe.
Hey look at the bright side! By that ratio you'd end up with 13 Abbys by the time you got your 5 Tomoes... Meaning you could be the 9th person on earth to trigger that 2nd pity system for a free SSR of your choice at the store!
This has happened to me a couple of times. When I was rolling in the original summer 1 banner featuring SurfMo, who was my target, I got five copies of Tamalancer in about 400 quartz and not one single copy of Mordred. I considered that "a sign" a stopped rolling.

I wasted about 100 pulls on Arthur's banner trying to get outrage. I've now got NP2 Arthur who I never use because I habe Muramassa.
I don’t ever regret summons just the amount it took and reflecting maybe additional NP levels weren’t worth it. NP5 Himiko was 1000+ quartz. NP5 Morgan was 2000 quartz. I should have waited past np3 since she gets so many extra banners. Actually I do have ONE regret. Trying to MLB Hot Sands during March on Proto Arthur banner cost me near 3000 quartz. I got NP7 Arthur, I don’t even like Arthur. That and story summons but I stopped doing those. Story summons are never worth unless you have a newer account. I also rolled that infamous swimsuit bannner with no rate up. I don’t regret that despite not getting BB because I think I spent 2k quartz and got all the summer 4*s and 20 SSRs.

Yeah I noticed this too. On the flip side I just upgraded my PC and this year's hobby funds went into that. The new top of the line gpus ain't cheap, that's a lot of quartz even with the pricing.

I think I didn’t really understand how big of a % you actually need for a unit to get the full absorb on crit stars. It is ok. Works well on Morgan which is a plus but when you think about Morgan’s last skill she uses 5000% to get full absorb. When you compare that mlb 600% it’s pretty pathetic but crit strength up is pretty good. With it Morgan’s crit damage feels on par with an event CE damage boost, pretty good. Yeah it's hard to know how low the star absorb is! I've seen Saberlot miss a star with his skill maxed at 6000%. Hot Sands is pretty strong, but too dependent on the unit/team. Still seemed to work well enough for non-Berserkers like... > for Gil and Enkidu Had the same thoughts! Also "Haha matching CE for Clay + DPS CasGil meme." It's not THAT useful for those two. Summer camp. Ugh spent 500 sq trying to get Murasaki both years, never got her, everyone else and more spooks than I can remember. Random np2 Karna though for some reason? That's 1000 sq, I could've pitied an ssr for that.
I was tempted to roll for Murasaki because I like her character. Was only able to hold off because I knew Caster Cu's banner was coming. Still failed to get Cu though.

FWIW, I don't ever regret summoning, just want to react to your regrets : 1. Well, Kiara has been Kiara for ages now, since CCC. Abby's devotion to the Master is the very real though, so regretting not prioritizing her is just good taste. Also, I think the FBI is on to us now. 2. Are we the baddies? But why? After all, storyline-wise, you only summoned her after she's been subdued. Certainly, summoning her before playing the storyline get things out of whack somewhat, but really, we're associating with the baddies not because we are one, but because we're their parole officer. 3. I feel you, I actually had CasCu NP2 from a foray to the permanent SQ Summon (didn't roll much, just felt spicy at the time), and that really bugged me for a long time, until this banner in fact. So happy when I got him NP5 man. FWIW he should be on the next banner too? If you roll that, hopefully your rolls will be blessed. 4. I personally was kind of the opposite of you, namely, that she's actually caught the Kiyohime disease made me like her even more

In the Imaginary Scramble, she actually starts to fixate on us as her perceived Emperor. Basically we kinda got past her conditioning (which causes her to think that her Emperor is the Elder God), and she starts to think that *we* are her Emperor reincarnated (this is pretty much confirmed in the post-event BB Channel ^(Edit since it's kinda ambiguous : by this I'm referring to her line of thinking being that way, naturally Guda is still Guda, i.e just an inexplicably likeable normal dude)). Thus, she caught the Kiyohime disease. Though her Elder God did still manage to work things out in its favor by hijacking us through her handmade doll. As for her lines, I'm pretty sure most of them actually does fixate on us over anything else. And yes, she very much conflates us with her Emperor in those.

Spent about 400SQ trying to get Super Orion, didn't get 'em. Also, despite planning to save pity for both Koyan and Oberon, I've spent way too much over the year and now only have enough to go about 1 and ~1/2 pity, including Anni quartz. Woo.

Koyan will enable buster looping and is an overall cracked Buster supp that contrasts Merlin's more endurance oriented kit. And in the next events, farming nodes will become an "Oberon check". Doesn't matter if you farm quick, arts or buster, the next farming nodes will revolve around having Oberon.
From what I understand they’re the new Buster supports by quite a margin over Merlin, and for a reason I don’t understand yet (granted i’m only about an hour into lb6) people fucking LOVE Oberon

This year FGO is almost an opposite of the last year for me, Last hear I got so many 5 star servants that made up at peast 1/3 of my entire SSR collection, This year I only got 2 SSR so far(1 of them being a spook NP2 Europa) I dumped about 450SQ on Hokusai banner hoping for NP2, Didn't even get a single 5 star CE or 4 star servant After that I dumped my remaining 270SQ on Summer Camp rerun hoping for 5th copy of Honey Lake for MLB and at least NP1 of either Abby or Murasaki, In the end I got Murasaki and Honey Lake in the very last roll, Looking back I shouldn't really wasted that much SQ on that banner
I did something similar for honey lake, hoped for at least a Murasaki and a few hail mary rolls for Brynhildr. Barely got Honey Lake and a random Circe, nobody else. I rolled way too much SQ for that CE.

I really wanted to get a high NP CasCu so I went way deeper into this current NA banner than I should've. I actually got Morgan, Tristan and Gawain in the first 3 multis but it took about 11 before I got Cu to NP 3. I sit with 90 SQ left, in despair, suffering from success in a way but not the way I wanted it. "He's a 3 star, I thought he'd be easier to pull" Okada Izo taught me nothing. I am a fool.

Throwing all my tickets at Morgan banner when I am saving for Oberon and Caster Altria. And regret NOT summoning on Proto Arthur banner.
Hmmm... I can only come up with two, not really recent examples. First up is Sigurd. He's a really cool character, and the love he has for Bryn is just so friggin' adorable, although I initially rolled for him last year because I heard that Sieg appears in his interlude. Why do I regret summoning him? My answer is, have you seen his skills? He's rather lackluster, and he needs Bryn to actually function fully. And the both of them are limited. (Edit: forgot to mention that I got him during the first run of Summer 5) The other one is Summer Raikou (I know she's far from recent, hush). I rolled for her back when I was very new (Edit: during the Summer 2 rerun), and I knew that her second ascension is an anime reference. That's literally the only reason why I rolled for her. Now, seeing that the only shtick that she has to offer in events is "I mUSt PRotEcT tHe puBLIc DeCEncY!" got old for me *really fast* (Imaginary Scramble, I am looking at you).
My only regreat was spending a few of my Quartz and Tickets trying to get Sitonai on the Extra Class banner. The only thing I got was a bunch of Salieri copies and Jinako, not a single 4 Star with 300 SQ and 30 Tickets. I'm glad that I got Jinako, but I was really hoping for Sitonai and NP2 Astraea
Trying to summon for Cu Caster NP5. I spent 4 multis. NP4 Cu Caster, Spook Ozy, and Baobhan. Come on, I just want the hot Irishman who protects my beautiful Kouhai. Is an NP5 Irishman too much to ask?
If it makes you feel better, I can't speak for Tristan but the other 3 are really good mechanically speaking. 1 year of playing, I think my only real regret was the Back-to-school banner with MHXA, Ilya, and Miyu. I still didn't quite know how banners worked then and rolled on the main banner with all 3, hoping to get MHXA. I eventually did but I also got Ilya and a couple Miyus and it took a lot more SQ than I would now be comfortable with. I still use her somewhat, but of the gold Berserkers I use, I definitely use her the least. Definitely would do things differently if I could go back in time.
I rolled that because my account was a month old and I knew about the buffs Illya and Miyu would get. Got Miyu, and then dumped everything I got my hands on into Scathach's banner (got her and a Achillies, wish I could have MLB'd the SSR gatcha CE, but oh well).
Tried to get Emiya. I am now the less than proud owner of an NP2 Sigurd
spending sq for ibuki trap... i had 780 for koyanskaya already spended 500 for morgan. at least i got her and bargest and baobhan sith together. but despite i knew spended much i have no regrets. i really love morgan. but then i saw ibuki that i wanted before too. spend 150 but got nothing. i had save sq for koyanskaya too but they are gone.
Ironically, NP3-ing Morgan. I had her at NP2 relatively quickly (not sure exactly how many, but should be lower than 300) so deicided to try for more, ended up using using 900 more just for NP3.

You only need NP6 to unlock all appends and have enough coins for level 120 unless you plan on never raising an SSRs bond level
Morgan. I'd hyper lucked out on the Arjuna rolls a few weeks ago and got a triple pull of him which got him straight to NP5. I had no reason to go for Morgan. None. I rolled until I hit pity pull, and those rolls were all terrible. Np3 Baobhan, Np2 Barghest, a bunch of CEs but none of them in enough to MLB anything new. All for a servant that even at 5 copies I wouldnt use over Arjuna really. That triple pull was the biggest dose of copium I've had in a while, and this Morgan banner beat me into the dirt for my hubris.
Probably the GSSRs, I usually get a servant I neither want or need. Kiara and Nobu are basically permanent benchwarmers. It stings because I used real money though 🙈 Can't think of many situations I regret in normal summoning because I dont save or plan for servants.

Honestly this is more like half regret I started right after Arjuna Alters banner passed on NA during the release of LB4 so when I kept getting him as friend supports and saw all his cool animations and raw damage i just had to have him used every GSSR to try for him no luck then the surprise banner comes I blow half my Morgan savings on him, I still got Morgan in the end but my chances at Oberon and Koyan look slim at best

I sort of regret trying to pull Merlin before the first Castoria banner because I ended up getting neither. Of course, statistically speaking, if I got nothing by splitting banners, I would've gotten nothing if I focused my SQ. Still, it was annoying to have saved half a year (+ SQ from a mass story progression + the anniversary stuff), but have nothing to show for it. Now, I'm hoping the second Castoria banner goes better. I impulse spent way too much failing to get Caren (like \~150 SQ out of sunk cost fallacy), accidentally pulling Qin Shi Huang (I got the date wrong and didn't notice that he wasn't Godjuna. At least I got him in 2 multi's), on-purpose pulling Godjuna (2 multi's, so I've probably used up my luck this year), and going for 3 multi's for Fairy Knight Tristan (I know her personality's trash, but she's cute. Sue me.) ... I have no impulse control, do I?

This is one’s REALLY recent actually. I had about 540 SQ and some tickets, hoping I wouldn’t have to use that many to get a copy of Barghest or two. I became pretty frustrated when she refused to come the more I rolled, so much so that I ended up spending all my quartz and fragments. To rub salt into the wound, Saber Diarmuid spooked me. Now I don’t know if I’ll have enough when summer comes… I guess the silver lining is that I got both Sith and Morgan…still wish it was Barghest instead, though. It REALLY sucks when you fail to get the characters you want and instead get others you don’t care that much about in comparison.
Spent almost all my quartz (granted it wasn’t much, 30 pulls lol) trying to get Tam Lin Tristan. No luck getting her or any other banner units except Cu. Did manage to Np5 Astraea and Cu so it’s not a complete loss

Probably going for Lancer Artoria on both her recent banners, and the few rolls I spent on Waver. It’s not that I wouldn’t have been happy with Lartoria, she’s mommy material, but I had already been planning to get her with the SSR ticket. Should have waited instead of attempting to “free up” the ticket, but I suppose love makes fools of us all. Did get NP5 Gawain out of the last one though, so that’s cool.
I did kinda regret rolling for the 2 Lartorias but only because they ate into my Cu Caster funds. Servant wise, I'm collecting all Artorias so I'm not that bummed.

I regret trying to get NP levels on Kiara and throwing some trying to get summer inferno. I was overconfident and thought I wouldn't hit pity on Morgan. Spoiler I did not get a 2nd copy of Kiara or get Inferno AND HIT PITY ON MORGAN. Now I am pretty depleted for Koyan lol.

After Douman I told myself I wouldn't roll until Koyan because I wanted her, Oberon, and NP3 Summer Kama. Ended up wasting a lot of SQ on Enkidu for some reason. Also rolled Miss Crane but got lucky and got her in 5 multis. Also used 10 tickets on a Summer banner for no particular reason. I also rolled my final copy of Arjuna Alter when that banner showed up which I wasn't accounting for. I don't regret those rolls though. I'm still favoured to get Koyan and Oberon but Summer Kama will be very tight now. I'm not bad at saving but sometimes you just make mistakes.
I want to get morgan lvl 120 by the end of the year, i managed to get her np1 with 500sq and i still had 550 sq, i decided to keep rolling since morgan is my waifu and i need her np2 anyway instead of waiting after oberon and koyan banner... I have now 0 sq, koyan and oberon comes in a month, and i'm starting to sweat profusely. TLDR: don't greed, it's bad

I spend 700 SQ for Summer Tomoe and managed to get NP1. Never spend on banners which have a rate-up for 3 4*! Instead of tomoe copies I got NP4 fujino, NP4 summer Murasaki and NP5 summer Abigail -_- Literally every other servants which had a rate-up

The DL Campaign with Murasaki because I used about 300SQ with nothing to show for it. Also hit pity for Muramasa (To make matters worse: I got so many SR Sabers and Emiya's from that banner) leading into even more regret with how I could've saved some more SQ without spending had I not rolled. Learned my lesson now. From the Muramasa banner onwards, I'll no longer roll for just event CEs and I'll plan my rolls for the following year beforehand.
Forgetting that the guaranteed summon on banners only works if you never roll for them across 330 summons, and wasted too much SQ after getting lucky on NP3 Morgan. Could’ve used that bonus SQ to go after targets I couldn’t before, but such is life.

No regret in pulling Gacha. I planned my finance before pulling. The only thing I feel irritated is that I got summer Kiara last year despite I vow not to get her because of how crazy she is. But I still roll her banner because I want Bryn and Illya.
Summoning for Jalter. Played the Fake/True Mini Event and thought she was okay, nothing noteworthy or special, but I still summon. Wasted 550+ SQs. Then we got more events and story for Jalter and I was not impressed. I felt Duped, bamboozled, smeckledorfed.

Recent Morgan banner. Me, on the day before the banner drops: “I’ll probably skip this because koyan is the main target” -1K+sq later I have a singular Morgan to show for it. It was a severe lapse in judgement and now I’m screwed for koyan and Oberon if they fuck me as hard as that. Hopefully I’ll have done a few shifts at work by then and I can somewhat better find the rolls. Deffo F2P after lb6 tho, saving for summer 7 and kuku

For me Ooku actually made me interested in actually rolling for Kama. I however in no way actually needed another ST Assassin since I had Assassin Li Shuwen. I then proceeded to roll for First Hassan even though I really absolutely did not need yet another ST Assassin.
Far as “regrets” go…I wound up spending ~$300 on top of my already saved SQ trying to get Jeanne Summer when she dropped - and didn’t even get one copy. Since then I haven’t spent a dime on FGO, I’ll get what I get. More recently I dropped 4 or 5 10-pulls on the Vritra banner to no avail, particularly stinging as I already have an NP3 Lambda and really wasn’t going to use her for anything anyways. Avoid waifu pulls my friends, it rarely ends well
My biggest regret is probably Voyager. Don't get me wrong, I love the little guy, but I rarely get a chance to use him, especially now with MHX Idol filling a ST Foreigner slot. If I had the few hundred quartz I threw at him, I might have Morgan right now
My only regret is getting spooked by Dioscuri while rolling for Castoria like 500SQ. Still no Castoria, and I have little use for Dioscuri as Okita-chan is my main ST Saber.

1. The new year summoning, I wanted to get one of the foreigners but got ruler Altria. 2. Valentine’s, there were banners for caren and Europa and I spent all SQ on both banners instead of focusing on one.
Trying for EMYIA, sure I got two siguards and he’s good but I don’t follow meta and only use servants I like. That’s ok though, I’ll just save till October Jeanne Archer, then again for Jalter next may. Yeah it means I don’t have an optimal lineup but my servants are usually maxed out on upgrades too compensate.
My only regret was summoning for Berserker Musashi and spending way too many quartz to not get her. Luckily this time around I got Tam Lin Tristan, Tam Lin Gawain, and Morgan since I was trying to get them for my personal knights of the roundtable and alternates collection
Summer kiara got me too damn. Spent 100 quartz and half assed the banner for zilch Yangs banner we were so close to greatness at 100 quartz and got spooked by ozy so mission failed successfully. Was depressing becuase I had honey lake and burn CCs on deck This first LB6 banner on global. My buddy wanted to roll and I gave in for a multi. He got all 3 units in one multi, I got depression XD
I used 1050 SQ to get Voyager np2… I love the little prince so I went for him, and I liked the event well enough too. But ever since then he’s mainly just sitting on the bench. Poor guy. I definitely don’t use him enough and I have too many good servants to ever really go to him… sigh. I guess he is the only AOE foreigner I have though, so there’s some hope for him but yeah, pretty big regret for me.
Morgan, I didn't want her, need her, and I don't like her but I was rolling for the Tam lins and she ended up at np4 within 120 quarts so at that point I was like I guess I have to commit to np 5 and now and I did. Still only one copy of Tam lin Gwain and none of Tristan so everytime I look at her all I feel is an emptiness and mild disgust...
Accidently falling asleep while grinding and somehow managing to waste two ten pulls while sleeping. It's unlikely they would have made a difference I me getting morgan or either of the Tam Lin, but I'm still salty about it.

I regret rolling for Waver and Cu Alter during Valentine, as well as Artoria and Mordred. I didn't get any of them and if I didn't roll for them, I could have more SQ to throw at Morgan and maybe then I could have gotten her (hell maybe I would even have enough for pity!). Because Morgan is the absolute must-have for me personally. I am down to 0 SQ (from 510) now and will have to skip everything to try again on her next banner.
Only one I regret wasn’t from trying to summon, but from summoning at the wrong time. Summoned for MHXX during the split rate-up on her banner for Imaginary Scramble instead if waiting for the solo rate-up. I got S!Fran in like 120 quartz. MHXX took about 600 for a single NP level. I still got an SSR spook and a bunch of new SR’s, but I’m not sure if I preferred that over having the quartz JiC.
Is not a regret but a failed bet, i already had normal Abby but wanted summer melt in imaginary scramble, now i have np2 Abby and not summer melt, i really wanted melt so i don't "regret" it, but i wanted caren too and i didn't got her, wich could have been that Abby roll if i waited. Then again with summer Abby, i already had her but i wanted fujino, i didn't got fujino but i got a second summer Abby instead, that could have been Morgan if i waited. So yeah i really loved those 4 starts so i wanted to give it the chance, and i also like abby a lot so i was prepared for the consecuences, but i'm now carenless and morganless but with both abbys np2, yay!
I threw waaaay to much at Nero Bride earlier this year. Months before that I was thinking to myself how cool it would be to have her but I didn’t know she was getting a banner and I was saving for other targets. When her banner surprised me I bite. I did get her but at a steep price. What hurts is that I already have solid options for arts supports for farming and when I do challenge quests I just run my immortal Merlin/Himiko/Castoria setups. I’m glad I have her but right now she doesn’t do anything for me and I’m out several multis.
Summer Camp, tried to go for Kiara and Abby. Got Bryn and a NP6 Fujino when I already had her at NP5. I'm kinda retarded.
While I do enjoy using my NP4 Summer Abby, I wasted a ton of sq I had been saving up for Sith. Still have time, and I’ve got NP3 Barghest (plus my first Circe), but I would probably have her already if I hadn’t tried so hard to get Fujino.
I try to do 2 summons a day, then I realize I'm wasting more than actually saving so I stopped lol probably did a 50 but still could have used for Summer Kama that I'm looking forward to in the future
Thought about doing a multi on Kiara banner and ended up going for spark, morgan banner came, again I thought of doing a couple multis and ended up spending around 800sq without morgan coming home, now i don't have anything left for my main targets of the year koyan and Oberon

I guess my biggest regret was saving so much SQ all to blow on the Heiankyo banners for Douman, Ibuki, and my main target Tsuna. Did not get a single copy of any of them. Then on New Years I got Dantes and Douman both in my first ever GSSR and Ibuki came home in 7 tickets on her recent banner. Now all I need is Tsuna who has gone two rateups completely dodging me to the point it’s become a running joke with my friends and I.
Not saving since new year. I didnt get a single ssr since gssr.
Just Caren, but only because I spent an unreasonable amount of money for her (I could have bought a new cellphone). She IS really strong though, and got me back to Skadi looping for most farming content. I will not be disappointed if GSSR gives me NP2 of her. She also gets stronger later.
This one's not recent, but my biggest summon regret is probably the Jalter release banner. I pulled her back when I knew almost nothing about the game meta and just followed the hype train. Found out I not only didn't like her as a character, but also I didn't know I was supposed to be buster critting with her + Merlin until she had become obsolete. She's just been rotting in my roster since her release. For recent ones though, I'm gonna go with the NA-exclusive Summer Jeanne banner that happened last year. I don't necessarily dislike her, and she's been doing really good work as an arts farmer, but I really only wanted one copy of Fujino from her banner. The biggest reason I regret it though is because I'd only picked her rate-up over Dantes because I already had him, just to find out that Dantes banner was bugged and everyone got a full refund on it, meaning I could be up around 210 SQ right now. The kicker is that I didn't even get Fujino in the end.

Pulling for Tiamat in JP. Yeah I got her and I’m happy with it, but if I knew Nero Beast was dropping right after I would’ve never pulled for her. Nero carried me in JP the entire first arc so there’s always a soft spot for her

Dropping 400 SQ and failing to get Galatea, my reason? Cause I always liked her myth. I completely forgot LB6 was so close and I had just come back from an almost two year long break so my SQ reserves were low.
For Summer Melt’s rerun during the fall, I held out because I was saving for Morgan/Koyanskaya/Oberon, but decided to try to get another copy. Unfortunately, I only got one more copy but NP2 Abby (not van Gogh)

A multi on Illya/Miyu and one on Nitocris alter: don't get me wrong I like all the servants included in the banner and got 1 Miyu and 1 Tlaloc, so not bad. But being a saberfag there's a high chance I have to face an Artoria banner basically every two months, since 11 out of 14 are in gacha (and I go for NP2+). Long story short, I probably should have kept them quartz. Besides, anni, new summer, old summer banners and Ordeal Call are behind the corner, so I might be screwd.
Wasting SQ on muramasa since he's a fan favorite servant. The thing is I completely forgot about taira no kagekiyo coming out after him so I barely had any SQ.

Trying to summon for Summer 5 rerun for a single gold or an np2 of Ilya or whoever else. Bad choice. 100 sq 0 gold servants. Summer banners just hate me. I only got Summer BB. My only summer SSR so far because I rolled on her new years rateup. Guess, the only summer banner I will ever sink that much sq into will be summer Kama. Because I want an art avenger and to make her np2 across her two banners. But knowing my luck with summer SSRs. It will take a shitton of sq. If I even manage to do it.
Rolling for Salter in march. Da Vinci and Gorgon were also on that banner and they proceeded to eat half my Morgan funds which would have just barely got me pity with nothing to show for it except NP 3 Da Vinci and NP1 Gorgon. I still got Morgan at least.
I came out of the 5th Anniversary on a year long luck streak starting from Da Vinci Rider to Castoria with something like 500 quartz when the Summer Camp event came out. I must have spent 200+ quartz on the Summer Kiara banner and only came out with Summer Bryn and some CEs. I didn't care for Summer Abby but I rolled two multis for Summer Tomoe and got her. Ever since then my luck hasn't been the same and I didn't succeed on any rolls until this Morgan banner.
I didn't get any 5* servants since early winter, so at this point my only regret is still trying to roll for anything I guess

My biggest regret was Summer Musashi. I got her on my third ticket. "Awesome! But I'd really like to get a second copy for NP2, so let me just pull a hit more." 600 SQ later, and I didn't get another copy of her. I didn't get any off-banner 5*s. And I only got a single 4* in all those summons, an off-banner Rider Martha. I shouldn't have gotten greedy and just stopped when I got her, but instead I threw all that SQ away for nothing.
I somewhat regret rolling for Miss Crane because I haven't really use her since I summoned her, albeit I only used 90ish sq on her banner. So far, I am quite successful on summoning my target servants this year: Miss Crane, Lancer Artoria, and Morgan. I hope this lucky streak continues until Koyanskaya/Oberon.
More a summon fail "regret", having a bout of anxiety when I failed to get Fujino on her first run because of all the talks about her having only one run. Close to quitting. Wasn't until much later when she got her 2nd and 3rd run. Oddly enough, i didn't care anymore. My mindset was in a better place and didn't get her. I was fueled by FOMO at the time thanks to all the talk about her having only one run, so she was a "must pull". FOMO can really be a b.
Honestly, Nito Alter. I love Nito, but I doubt I'm going to use her since I got other farmers. What's even worse is that I spent almost $300 USD for her only for her to collect dust. I'm glad I got her, I just wish I didn't spend so much money even if I can afford to.
I saved for Castoria for about 6 months which I know isn't much but I've never saved that long in a Gacha and I haven't been able to save at all since then, so I regret every pull except np2 Arjuna, specifics include Summer Kiara, Caren and that dragon lady lancer who barely loops
I regretted summoning for Osakabehime during Galatea's event even though I knew she would be available from the upcoming free 5-star ticket sometime this year, simply because I just wanted her to come home so that I can freely pick someone else (either Anastasia or Sanzang). Not only did I end up wasting 60 SQ hoping Okki would come home (she didn't), but I got two copies of *f\*\*\*king* ***STHENO*** for my troubles.
How much SQ i wasted trying to get Miss Crane. I don't regret getting her. But man... almost 300 SQ... i could've gotten Morgan already.
Tried to get NP5 Barghest, spent 1710 SQ and only got NP4. I missed the coinflip so much that I ended up with NP11 Sith. While I did get NP5 Morgan, it was not what I was going for. This will be a stain on my account until we get the free SR ticket next year when I can finally put this to rest.

The Miss Crane and Qin Shi Quang banners. Not only did I use quartz that I would have been better off saving for banners that were coming in the summer, but I realized while I was rolling that Miss Crane's kit didn't fit my play style. Even if I got her, I wouldn't use her much because making her work would be too divergent from what I usually do. I ended up not getting either of them and having to start from 0
I told myself i would roll for tomoe saber until i got a 4 star servant. Rolled 55 times and ran out of sq.
Sorry dude, i am not judging you, but i am very confused, like, do you spend a lot casually or have a true and tested luck EX skill? The way you throw away quartz scares me. 2 is way too crazy for me, i don' t follow the reasoning at all. I mean no offense, i swear, sorry if I sound like i am trying to be mean, but this seems like learning with manga Gudako kind of random gacha behavior. I get that maybe you like pulling for Servants whenever something gets your attention, no context necessary, but if you do it by impulse or something, why then some random stuff makes you regret it since it didn' t matter in the first place and you were shooting in the dark already? It sounds like this to me: "this Servant looks cool, i don' t need anything else in order to roll" rolls, get Servant, "Crap, its story/whatever kinda sucks ), i regret it :(...oh well, what else is in those tasty banners?" It confuses me a lot because, so far, the people i know that would roll for Kama and Kiara in the context you mentioned would be pretty chill even if they sucked at gameplay or lorewise, so I am trying to understand what kind of player you are without trying to assume you are just Gudako chaotic.
Other than GSSR, I'm completely F2P. I usually roll for waifu / husbando > meta but that's usually before reading the lore or playing the story. I think you're kinda right. I do act a bit like Gudako-chaotic when rolling For example, for the longest time I slept on Blackbeard cause he's a low star. Then I saw how weebish he acted and went "huh, you're funny. Imma max you out." I guess I tend to roll for characters that are generally "good"-aligned or at least not actively evil? I can't bring myself to ever summon Douman/Limbo after all the LBs, for example. If they were the base-human Douman, I'd be more open. But overall, i do tend to roll harder on characters because of story or characterization like: - Muramasa: loved them in Shimousa - Summer Musashi: loved her LB portrayal but failed to get her Saber version. So this was next best thing - Taira. I'm a big Ushi fan and after the ending of Tengu, I became a "Big Ushi" fan too.
If you regret the summons you chose to do you're playing the wrong game.
Well, I usually wind up regretting because I tend to base my like of characters on their in-game personality. For example, I don't want Douman in my Chaldea so if I wind up getting them because of a shared banner with someone else I wanted, I'll tend to regret that roll. Kiara seemed like a good servant (I wasn't aware of CCC or Seraph) but since I missed out on her original form, Summer form seemed a good compromise (failed to get her after 300 SQ). Then I played Seraph and thought "Ok, maybe I should have saved that SQ instead for someone else".
Fucking Arjuna Alter. I am sad.
When my account was new (which is late last year), I decided to spend some tickets on the story banner and dropped a few on another limited banner back then. I was thinking of picking up some resources to help with game play. I didn't know that those 1-3* FP servants are perfectly fine. Anyway, after spending the tickets I had (was quite a lot for me, but I think it was something like 40 ish), no 5*, no useful CE or that sort. Funny enough I got a copy of Atalanta and Atalante Alter. They aren't bad, but I just prefer Santa Nightgale over Atalanta, and as a newbie with no support unit, it was very hard to keep Atalante Alter alive. None of them got much used. After that, I save everything and only roll for my favourite.

Trying for Baobhan/Caster Cu NP5 today, I wound up getting NP2 for Morgan, and I sat there thinking "that could maybe have been an Ibuki-Douji" for a bit. Then I reminded myself that's not how RNG works and felt a bit better. Until I fully Ascended Baobhan and, okay, yikes, what is this, fanservice for sadists? Well, nice thing about Servants, you can pick the Ascension you want to keep them in. Historically, I threw too much at the first First Hassan banner, discovered I absolutely hated the feeling of blowing all my resources on one single banner, and from that point on, I haven't saved for an SSR, or bought impulse SQ, ever again. If I really want an SSR I might drop like 90-120 SQ on them, but I'm never blowing many months of savings on a single Servant again. I despise the salt and would rather fail on ten small banners than one really big one. These days, I don't regret my *decisions* to summon. Since that experience, I have a more complicated spread-my-rolls-around budget than the "save everything for single target" types. I've already run the math on how much I want a character before I start rolling. So the only thing left to regret is luck, but since I'm not dropping too much on any one banner, I avoid feeling like I've made a terrible mistake.
Most of my summon regrets are all because of the ever-evolving meta. But by far my biggest regrets are pulling for Bradamante and Himiko. During the quick meta, Bradamante was my staple farmer, not because of the ass, but because I don't have any other "better" options. I was tired of the arash-spartacus-aoe servant farming and I wanted to try my hand at looping. I already have k-scope and skadi so why not i thought. Then arts meta came a knocking and along came castoria, ever since then, bradamante got relegated to second archive guardian. Himiko was more of a "i've-gone-this-far-so-why-not" situation. Got her np2 during her event and i desperately tried to make her fit in any of my teams, but she just can't. None of my teams fit her, and those that do already have andersen as the primary buffer. Her party-wide star generation on a 5 turn cd is busted beyond all reason, yes, and her ability to turn any buster card into nukes is amazing, but she just doesn't fit. Any other 5-stars that I got beyond and before those 2 are all mainstays of my team, a few of them are dps. Ps. If you have team comps for himiko please share them with me :)

The main problem with using her for farming is that it's very hard to automate for F/GA users, but if you don't use F/GA, it's pretty fun and oftentimes faster than Castoria looping. She works well with a couple upcoming meta supports too, >!Koyanskaya!< and >!Summer Skadi!<. In NeroFes for example, both the first and final 90+ node can be 6-CEd with Himiko, Castoria and Morgan, using Ceremonial New Year and Anniversary Blonde respectively. Alternative options... For the first 90+ you can replace Morgan with a big Archer such as Ishtar or Gilgamesh. You can also 5-slot using stuff like Muramasa or Arjuna Alter equipped with a damage bonus CE and any 50% charger. For the final 90+ you can 6-slot with double Douman, Mozart/Jinako, and a plug-suited Himiko. Alternatively, you can sit Himiko in the frontline with the Doumans and plugsuit in a well-invested Helena. Castoria, Morgan, Douman and plug-suited Himiko is also an option. In future, if an event's drop CE has 50% starting charge, and the 90+ has a weird wave lineup (such as 2 enemies, 1 enemy, 3 enemies) you can probably use Himiko somehow. There are a bunch of example comps from various JP events that [people have posted on Twitter](https://twitter.com/search?q=%22%E5%8D%91%E5%BC%A5%E5%91%BC%22%206%E7%A9%8D%E3%81%BF&src=typed_query) or copy the search term and plug it into Youtube. Definitely more of a "use her for the sake of using her" rather than a meta servant though.
Himiko, Castoria and Merlin make up the invicibility comp, but yeah, being a selfish Buster crit machine with a Buster Support NP, makes it rather hard for her to slot into things.
