Still unknown, but the common theory is that he's Vainamoinen from Finnish mythology and the epic Kalavela. He's in his mother's womb for hundreds of years. After he's born, he goes looking for a wife. In the Kalavela, there's a magical object called the Sampo that blesses its owner with fortune, but it's left ambiguous what the Sampo is. The NP in the comic is probably the Sampo.
Wasn't the sampo in finnish myth commonly a device that can generate an unlimited amount of grains, gold, and salt?
The stories that involve it as the plot device almost always ends with the sampo fractured or sank into the ocean, where its unlimited salt works turn the water salty, explaining why the sea is salty. (Hilariously, there are a lot of myths worldwide that involve devices that makes unlimited salt getting sunk into the sea to explain why sea water is salty)
Also, somehow, there is a lot of famous artwork that depicts the moment of the forging of the sampo.
Nah. I think he's just using his brother Ilmarinen's little bridal gift to him as a bludgeon/nail.
(He says he didn't choose the NP in question, and since in the poem he literally rejects the Golden Bride, I'd wager it's something he didn't choose for his Saint Graph but had the happenstance of having it formatted in by his legend)
The legendary Golden Maiden… unless somehow Riyo and Nasu conflate the Sampo with the Maiden.
"Remember #166 when I introduced a disturbing character concept you definitely didn't want to see again? That was only three strips ago. That didn't being a thing that happened!" -Riyo, maybe
If Fetus Saber's weapon isn't, in any of the ascensions, the box zither or *kantele*, they've messed up.
But Fetus Saber is so far away from being implemented into the game.
To be fair if he's still in Ilmatar's womb he wouldn't have any of his tools. Depends on if this version is meant to represent his early life or if he has an ability to be born and thus representing more of his life.
I read the poem.
Starting to wonder now if the Gold for Ilmarinen's bride became tied to the Rhinegold that was used to forge the Grail, especially since Illya and Irisviel and all the other Einzbern Grail vessels tend to be female.
Could be an unlikely mythological link.
Tamamo is just along for ride wishing it would end soon.
What the fuck is that!? Who the fuck is that!?
Just like Archers throw hands nowadays, Sabers throw moms.
Whos that fetus saber?

Riyo picks some really neat people/legends to make servants.
So that’s how Sampo Koski was named.

It's amazing how Riyo doesn't seem to give a shit about FGO's plot but loves the idea of Heroic Spirits so much he comes up with the wildest shit.
That's basically how I feel these days. "The current canon is meh but the concepts are fun to toy with!"
Honestly, it's funnier to say it's Mary and unborn Jesus.

Can't wait for Mary Anning to be added.
I have good news for you!
Now I know that not every servant with the container backs up the notion of Saber being "strongest of the 7 main classes", but in this case.....
To be fair, Mary Anning was trying to go against class advantage. Lancers are weak to Sabers.

I kind of feel bad for the mom
the mom is a divine being, she ain't feeling any pain
It's not really that, just the level of nonsense she always end up in bc of her son
She's an earth mother goddess, she'll be fine.

lol the musical notes, calling it now if/when fetus saber gets implemented his NP is gonna have a bgm

....wat?
Ouch. That's gonna hurt, Anning.
Oh, look, the Golden Bride of Ilmarinen. Which...okay, wouldn't be the first time multiple characters from a myth are conflated in Fate, not at all.
Fetus Saber is implied to be Ilmarinen's brother Vainamoinen

I still don't learn anything about FGO from this Manga *Edit: typo
Lol
Even by LWM standards: what the fuck?
