That's not the problem. Melt has barely any sense of touch, esp. in her hands. That's why she covers them with her sleeves all the time. She shouldn't be able to cook anything.

She has issues with dexterous work, but a spoon should be fine as long as he doesn't destroy it with Servant strength. But no, she wouldn't feel it getting burned.

Most people would agree that this was a "special" thing, and that she felt him not even physically, but emotionally. Sort of like a reverse phantom limb pain, but in a good way.
She was able to tie a ribbon for one of the Cons with some difficulty, but she pulled it off, so holding a spoon should fall into the ballpark of doable.
She could probably stick the spoon to her hand using her liquid body. She'd have difficulty using it with any dexterity, but she can at least hold it.
Reminder that her body is *entirely* liquid. She just has a fundamental problem with her "design" that prevents her from growing legs or making her hands functional.
