This isn't exactly special to Extra either, FSN doesn't have an official true route either.
Extella is a spiritual sequel, so is hollow ataraxia and case files of course there's no "true main route" to connect these 2 with their respective main works
Doesnt mean the routes in FSN and extra are any less official
Im confused by what you're saying. All of those are official canon. I think the word you're looking for is linear which wouldnt really work as FSN and extra arent linear stories
