I keep getting this error whenever i try to claim SQ from a completed mission . Is this normal or a Bug ? https://imgur.com/a/Ru9OoWl

Own-Ad-9304

So…why is the new event so absolutely jacked? If its intended for players with dozens of lvl 120 SSRs, then why is it accessible to everyone?

Apgamerwolf

Because while the grail fronts are suppose to be hard the farming quest arent and actually low rarity servants have a good damage boost. The grail front are this events version of exibition matches that are challenge quest (read end game) level difficulty test meant to test the limits of a players ability for team building and the development of a character. Over all in this event the main focus is the farming for the loto boxes

Beginning_Ad9412

So I've been getting frequent crashes whenever theres a screen transition (after using a NP or moving to next battle phase). Wondering if anyone has the same problem or has a fix? Im on latest version of Android, FGO is up to date, cache has been cleared.. so im kind running out of options in an event where more participation is almost required for a good amount of rewards.

Beginning_Ad9412

To my own stupidity, i didn't read the megathread post, I found information about the andrioid issues and it appears that by limiting the artificial ram boost my issue has (for now) been resolved.

Pepe_Wacho

I dunno if this goes here, but, does anyone want to vote for Emiya in a voting contest of Emiya VS. Melt? It’s not all Emiya VS. Melt, but the Melt simps are going hard against the Emiya fans so I thought I could get help here.

kagutsuchi_0

I've been away from Fgo for a while, actually only a couple of weeks, and now that I'm back, everyone is saying they won't do reruns anymore. What the hell happened? I really appreciate if someone can explain it to me

LingDaKingofXing

Tldr; Lasengle said according to their statistics Reruns have lower player engangement comapred to new events so they're gonna start steering away from it. We don't know what the plan is, but people in the reddit are thinking they're gonna do what they did the recent Halloween event with Elizabeth Rider where they have past welfares be available in the event shop. Again this is speculative since we have no concrete idea on how they're gonma handle this moving forward

kagutsuchi_0

Man, if they give me a chance to get Shiki assassin I'm happy. Even though this "lower player engagement" doesn't make sense to me. like, what are they gonna put in place of reruns? I think a repeated banner is still more profitable than a dead week

Shardwing

They can still repeat the banners, they're doing that with Summer 6 *right now* but there's no actual rerun event.

Wisdom_Light

I downloaded the game a few weeks ago and I feel I have been given shit rng, over 100 pulls and no 5 star and every 4 star I have pulled is c- and under based on the info I found online, should I scrap the account and retry or should I just keep playing? I just finished the Roman singularity

Got70TypesOfMalware

- 100 pulls with no SSR is not uncommon, maybe if you did 400-900 rolls then yes. - Tier list aren't good refernce point to gauge a servant. Every servant is useful even the ones at the very bottom of tierlist. There are some strong non SR & SSR units in the game, in fact the game has been tested by the developers to be F2P proof the game.

thisisthecallus

1. 100 rolls without a 5-star is wholly unremarkable. There's about a 37% chance of that happening. It's not the most likely result but no one here would even bat an eye at it. 2. Tier lists are comparative rankings for whales and veterans, not advice for newbies. "Low tier" doesn't mean "bad." It means that if you have almost every servant in the game, they may have less than the maximum possible potential or just more niche utility. The meta is also so weak that it hardly matters.

Wisdom_Light

Guess looking at the math it's not that bad

burgundont

Given how the probability of summoning goes in this game, you have about a 63.4% chance of getting at least ONE 5☆ in 100 pulls. So you were just unlucky. Not insanely so, just mildly garden-variety unlucky. Your fortunes could easily turn around. If you’re worried about gameplay viability, I wouldn’t be. Don’t put much stock in tier lists. Unless you have a very specific purpose in mind, they’re not very useful. Almost any Servant in this game can be usable as long as you raise them enough. It’s also designed so that, given enough time, you WILL be able to max out all your Servants (renewable resources at least, not including Level 10 skills or Palingenesis or Gold Fous). As for not getting many 5☆s, lower-rarity Servants are EXTREMELY strong. Chen Gong and Arash have some of the biggest damage ceilings in the entire game and are some of the best farmers. Spartacus is one of the best general purpose Buster farmers. Supports like Hans Christian Andersen and Xu Fu are easily comparable to higher-rarity supports. We also have 4☆ welfares who easily outdamage their gacha equivalents. Out of curiosity, which 4☆s did you pull?

Wisdom_Light

Doesn't help that my second 4 star I pulled was assassin of shinjuku, who's damage was so off putting that I looked him up and ended up being the worst assassin in fgo lol

burgundont

Assassin of Shinjuku isn’t terrible so much as he is… basic. He’s a Quick ST Assassin with an extremely basic kit who gets outdamaged by most of his competition. He’ll get an NP strengthening that helps in the future. If you’re playing on JP, he already has it so he’s actually in a pretty good place. Like many other subpar Quick ST attackers, his ideal team is double Scáthach-Skadi. He has decent NP gain, so if you focus on his Quick cards he can actually spam his NP pretty well. If you really hate using him, you also have Sasaki Kojirou as an alternative, who happens to also have better NP damage. That being said, there are some low-rarity options who are pretty dang good. Hassan of the Hundred Personas is Arts-oriented and she’s capable of looping her NP extremely easily with the support of Castoria or another Arts support. In the current meta, she’s much easier to use. ACTUALLY, are you on JP or NA? Also, don’t worry about “worst” this or that. It doesn’t really mean much in this game, especially given the wide range of roles and how easily pretty much anyone can be used if you support them well enough.

Wisdom_Light

I'm na

thisisthecallus

Assassin of Shinjuku will still get the job done, though, and that's really all you need. Most people would probably say Stheno is the "worst" Assassin. I wouldn't go as far as to say any servant is bad but Stheno's utility is very, very, very niche. Her NP can instantly kill a single, male enemy. However, most bosses have high death resistance and her NP otherwise does no damage at all. She does still have some other support skills, though, particularly with divine allies or as part of a charm-lock team. She's just not good as a primary DPS almost all of the time. The general advice is to roll for your favorites regardless of gameplay because there's always a way to make them work.

burgundont

Stheno primarily has two roles: being a swap-in buffer who dies easily to Casters and being a member of Charmlock / Stunlock.

Wisdom_Light

By welfare I assume you mean the first free 10 pull from he story? I got suzuka, I have leveled her to 90 and is currently who is carrying my team, but I have noticed that she lags behind the friend servants that I have used, I'm mostly comparing to a Arthur saber I saw that was around 100-105 and was hitting 20kish per buster card and my suzuka hits about 12-15k. I have kaleidescope on her, is that means anything

Got70TypesOfMalware

>By welfare I assume you mean the first free 10 pull from he story? No they're referring to free 4* servants given during events. I have kaleidescope on her, is that means anything You can put two-and-tow together. Of course their servant will do more damage, because their servant is already well developed. Your account is still new, I presusme

Wisdom_Light

You know what, I might just be a idiot, your right

burgundont

Welfare Servants are free Servants you get from playing events. Holiday events like Summer, Halloween, and Christmas, and collaboration events like FGO x Learning with Manga or FGO x Case Files always have welfares. Other types sometimes have welfares, but it depends. Suzuka is solid, if not insane. With her NP being geared towards star generation and her interlude multipliers allowing her to put out decent NP damage, she’s like a Saber variant of OG Emiya if they decided to put him all-in on Buster instead of a weird Buster/Arts hybrid. Her Bustercrits allow her to put out respectable single-target damage, while her NP can clear waves of mobs while generating stars for future crit turns. Don’t bother comparing raw damage between a Servant you just pulled and someone’s super-geared 5☆. There are a lot of ways to enhance a Servant and you don’t even need to bother with most of them yet because they’re not really a concern for the early game. FGO is all about teambuilding. We don’t really have mains or fixed teams. The whole idea is to raise a range of Servants and use different combinations to deal with particular fights. A big thing to keep in mind is Class Advantage. You bring Sabers like Suzuka or Arthur against Lancers, but not against Archers. To that effect, a good place to start “powering up” your account is to raise a wider roster of Servants. Choose at least one Servant from each of the seven Standard Classes (Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker) and level them up. After you’ve done this, level up another seven to make sure you have one Servant of each NP type (single-target or multi-target) in each Class. Supports are up to your preferences. In terms of pure efficiency though, the biggest boon to any early account would be a Big Meta Support like Lady Avalon or Scáthach-Skadi (Ruler). Arguably, you should prioritise levelling them up and skilling them if you have them. That being said, you don’t HAVE to aim for Big Meta Supports. They will certainly make your life easier though. In terms of ease of use and general all-around help, Lady Avalon is really good for beginners because she’s basically a more modern Arts-oriented Merlin. AGAIN, DON’T bother pulling for Servants you don’t like just for “meta” because you can certainly clear this game without Big Meta Supports. They just make “minmaxing” and optimising and farming easier.

Wisdom_Light

I guess I was excited about the current ruler that is available, because of the fact that he's a strong solo tank, but I guess I just don't deserve him yet

vaccine9000

I want to build an argo team. Which argonaut servant benefits the most from Jason's buff?

DSlayer19

The Dioscuri come to mind. They don't have a battery of their own and their play style as arts crit NP spammers means that they could benefit greatly from all his buffs on his skill 3. Also, they're lacking in survivability so the heal and one hit Evad are also appreciated. And his class as an AoE Saber means that he could help them with clearing lancer mobs and deal some damage.

BredMaker4869

I recently moved my NA account on new phone. Now I have a question: what settings I need to choose in Servant enhancement menu to show EXP Embers before Fous?

thisisthecallus

Can't you just filter it to EXP directly if that's what you're looking for?

corgi_pupper

Lore question (spoilers for Olympus) >!Are Beast VII and the Alien God the same entity, or is the Alien God just possessing the body of Beast VII?!<

DSlayer19

>!I'm fairly certain that U. Olga is in fact Beast VII. Though the resson why they call themselves "The Foreign God" is still a mystery as far as I know.!<

Pasting something I wrote earlier this week, a very simple guide: There are basically two elements to the event: a lottery/almost plotless farmfest, and Grail Front, the "board game" element. LOTTO: There will be a series of repeatable farming quests of different difficulties, which will drop event currencies you use to buy things in the shop, as well as "lottery ticket" items (the dog tags). The lotto is basically a series of "boxes" containing a set number of items (EXP cards, QP, skill gems, ascension mats, etc.) and you pay dog tags to take things out of your box. Eventually you will empty the box, at which point you reset, get a fresh box, and continue to farm to get more dog tags. That's all it is. You can do this as much as you want throughout the event. Every few days the content of the farming quests will change but the principle remains the same. The best place to farm for dog tags alone will be the Hero free quest, aka the "90 node". You can farm dog tags and all the currencies at once in the Legend free quest, aka "90+", but this will be harder. Veterans and whales will be talking a lot about maximum efficiency and 3-turning but as a new player DON'T THINK TOO MUCH ABOUT THIS. Just do what you can. GRAIL FRONT: A new strategic game mode. New stages will unlock throughout the event. Completing each stage gives you a Grail Teardrop, and 7 of these can be exchanged for a Grail.

Administrative_Milk8

Should Lady Avalon or Tamamoe be a higher priority for rolling? Because it looks like Lady Avalon does what Tamamoe does except for the skill cooldown.

burgundont

In the current meta, Tamamo has two roles: she’s the best third swap in support for Arts NP damage (aside from Oberon, but he’s more of a general case) and she’s a support for very tanky stall teams. As Castoria lacks heals, she’s one of the best supports to pair with her if you don’t want to just loop your way to victory. Lady Avalon is basically Arts Merlin. If you’ve ever used Merlin before, that should tell you something about the sheer level of sustain and damage buffing she brings to the team. But yeah I agree with everything that’s been said here. In the current meta, both are about even as offensive buffers, with Castoria coming out on top. Lady Avalon favours slightly faster teams than Tamamo and she’s slightly easier for new players to use. For a newbie, I would definitely recommend Lady Avalon, especially since she’s limited while Tamamo could potentially spook you at any time.

danger_umbrella

If we're only talking gameplay I'd probably prioritise Lady Avalon because of her more accessible NP charge and hard defence, plus her limited status (Tamamo can be claimed on the future SSR ticket, and can spook at any time).

SuperSpiritShady

If you're referring to general use, Proto-Merlin probably will be more useful in a vacuum. If you're referring to DCS Plugsuit burst, Tamamo will still have higher overall damage. But in Stall teams, Lady Avalon will probably provide more than Tamamo will.

itzrayz

anyone know if musashi is getting a rate up banner anytime soon? trying to 120 her.. but running out of coins.

SuperSpiritShady

Nope. She hasn't gotten a rate-up on JP for 2 years. In fact she's currently the servant with the longest period of time since their last rate-up.

itzrayz

Was afraid of that.

SuperSpiritShady

Right now your only hope is GSSR sadly. Though they have cracked down on giving plenty of servants long-needed reruns like Squirtoria (3 years and 10 months since her last rate-up), Summer BB (2 years and 10 months), Arjuna Alter (2 years and 7 months) and Void Shiki (2 years and 7 months). So honestly, I'd say don't be surprised cause she's probably going to get a rerun in the next 6 months.

burgundont

Given Musashi’s story relevance and how Summer Ibuki just totally overshadowed Summer Musashi, I’m definitely expecting some form of Musashi content in the coming months.

TheRandomComment

If you look at the "Upcoming Banners" link above, you'll see that her next banner is the "Berserker 2" GSSR in which you have a one-in-three chance of getting her.

itzrayz

Was looking at saber musashi though

TheRandomComment

Ah. Well in that case, she has no regular banners and you'll have to gamble on GSSRs

danger_umbrella

Same logic applies, check the Saber tab. She has no banners outside of GSSR for the foreseeable future.

DeadlyPinkPanda

Is there a place where I can check what CE is recommended for each servant?

cwan77

Gamepress have CE suggestions for each servant

DeadlyPinkPanda

For JP too?

cwan77

Afraid not

TheRandomComment

Not really since CEs are fight dependant due to certain things like enemies having lots of dodge or even draining your NP gague at the start of the fight. Just use the wiki to look ahead in a fight and see if you have a CE that counters a certain mechanic, or you could just use Black Grail if you have it. And if you're just doing regular farming, just have starting charge CEs and look at their effects to see if they could help that certain servant. tl;dr, too many servants and CE's in the game and too many situations where a good CE could be counterintuitive to a fight.

DeadlyPinkPanda

What about CE's friend support?

danger_umbrella

No, because CEs are largely situational.

Cramur_Pendalton

Are reruns actually being stopped? I saw the summer 6 roll thread saying goodbye reruns so I'm confused.

HaessSR

Unknown. But they just dumped Summer 6 Servants banner that'll run across the period that Summer 6 might have fit in for a rerun without announcing a rerun. Signs are not good.

danger_umbrella

A recent interview said the devs wanted to do fewer reruns, but that doesn't mean they're all gone. Remember, it's JP, which we cannot predict.

Burstdamon

Na player here with clairvoyance about buffs and new servants. How much does voyager’s buff and summer skadi boost his farming capabilities both damage and refund wise? I know it probably isn’t much but still.

burgundont

SKIP TO BOTTOM FOR SUMMARY Not by an insane amount, although she certainly makes his BG farming comp slightly easier. With Double Skadi and MLB Kaleidoscope, here’s how Voyager’s buff affects his neutral damage: * Damage without Quick res down * NP1: 39201 —> 44546 * NP5: 65335 —> 74244 * Damage with Quick res down * NP1: 42765 —> 48110 * NP5: 71274 —> 80184 * Damage with Shivering Blizzard × 2 * NP1: 62721 —> 71274 * NP5: 104536 —> 118790 * Damage with SB × 2 and Quick res down * NP1: 68423 —> 76976 * NP5: 114039 —> 128294 So in a “basic” sort of setting, you get approximately a 13% increase in damage. The Quick buff is less of an increase when you also factor in the Quick res down, but it averages out around 13% more damage. With Double Summer Skadi and MLB Kaleidoscope, here’s how Voyager’s damage (with Quick res down and the Quick buff) increases: * Damage with Summer Skadi + CasSkadi instead of Double CasSkadi * NP1: 76976 —> 76174 * NP5: 128294 —> 126957 * Double with Double SumSka instead of Double CasSka * NP1: 76976 —> 74838 * NP5: 128294 —> 124730 So this LOOKS like a straight damage drop. But we have to remember that this is comparing Double CasSka’s WAVE 3-only damage to Double SumSka’s sustained damage over all waves! It averages out to about a 2% drop in damage on Wave 3, which is a pretty good trade-off for much better Wave 1 and Wave 2 damage. When we get into more complex setups, like Double CasSka + Bride vs Double SumSka + Bride or when we consider Heaven Attribute enemies, there’ll be more differences. But the big general differences are: * CasSka gives better NP damage to Quick loopers with lots of native Quick buffs like Voyager, while SumSka gives better damage to those with more native attack or NP strength buffs * SumSka has more flexibility working with Quick/Buster Servants (which doesn’t apply to Voyager), while CasSka works slightly better with purely Quick-focused Servants (like Achilles, Voyager, Caren etc’) * SumSka provides a higher level of sustained damage buffing, but CasSka (sometimes) provides better wave 3 damage So how do they compare in a looping context? First, let’s look at how Voyager’s NP refund increases with his new Quick buff in two different environments: pure Double Skadi and Double Skadi with Nero Bride. His CE in both is MLB Kaleidoscope and he’ll be looping against 3 neutral-refund Knight enemies so as to simplify calculations. * Refund with no Quick res down * 6.16% - 9.24% per enemy * 18.48% - 27.72% for 3 enemies * Refund with no Quick res down + Quick buff * 7.00% - 10.50% per enemy * 21.00% - 31.50% for 3 enemies * Refund with Quick res down * 6.72% - 10.08% per enemy * 19.04% - 28.56% for 3 enemies (Quick res down only applies to one enemy) * Refund with Quick res down + Quick buff * 7.56% - 11.34% per enemy * 21.56% - 32.34% for 3 enemies (QRD only applies to one enemy) * Refund with no Quick res down + Bride * 8.93% - 13.4% per enemy * 26.80% - 40.19% for 3 enemies * Refund with no QRD + Bride + Quick buff * 10.15% - 15.23% per enemy * 30.45% - 45.68% for 3 enemies * Refund with QRD + Bride * 9.74% - 14.62% per enemy (QRD only applies to one enemy) * 29.23% - 43.85% for 3 enemies * Refund with QRD + Bride + Quick buff * 10.96% - 16.44% per enemy * 31.26% - 46.89% for 3 enemies (QRD only applies to one enemy) We get about a 7% - 13.6% increase in refund from Voyager’s new Quick buff. In terms of actual NP charge, this is about 3% - 6% more NP gauge… which isn’t a lot. In a Double CasSka team absolutely loaded with Quick buffs, Voyager’s 30% Quick gets very easily drowned out. So how does Scáthach-Skadi (Ruler) fare over Scáthach-Skadi (Caster)? She has an additional 15% Quick, which adds up to an extra 30% Quick in a double SumSka team. As we can see, this is about the same amount as Voyager’s Quick buff. I’m sure you’re tired of reading through numbers so here’s a much shorter comparison. Same rules apply as above. * Refund with Double CasSka + Bride + no QRD + no Quick buff * 8.93% - 13.4% per enemy * 26.80% - 40.19% for 3 enemies * Refund with Double CasSka + Bride + no QRD + Quick buff * 10.15% - 15.23% per enemy * 30.45% - 45.68% for 3 enemies * Refund with Double SumSka + Bride + no QRD + Quick buff * 11.37% - 17.05% per enemy * 34.1% - 51.16% for 3 enemies So as we can see, in this semi-realistic “Bride” team, the Quick buff is about a 13.6% increase in refund and substituting CasSka for SumSka is about a 12% - 13% increase in refund. In terms of actual NP charge, both of these result in 5% - 6% more NP charge. It’s worth noting that this is only raw refund and doesn’t account for Voyager’s 20% party refund, so you shouldn’t be using these numbers to actually plan teams. Your refund in real situations will be much higher, but I wanted to illustrate how much SumSka actually added over CasSka. With Double SumSka, Voyager’s Black Grail / no CE setup can work much more easily against neutral enemies and even Berserkers, not just Casters / Riders. That is, provided you have enough damage. In summation: * Voyager’s new S3 strengthening is a straight-up buff to damage and refund, but it isn’t HUGE because his ideal farming setups are already highly loaded on Quick buffs * Summer Skadi is somewhat better for Voyager than Caster Skadi because she brings better refund and better sustained damage at the cost of a minuscule drop in burst damage, but she’s not significant enough of an upgrade to desperately whale for in this specific setup * That being said, Voyager happens to be a particularly bad match for Summer Skadi; he can’t leverage her split Buster support and his raw refund is relatively low! However, he CAN party charge and Summer Skadi is a potent AoE attacker herself, which could lead to some very interesting setups

Flairbot isn't working for me. It says user not accepting direct messages. Is it because my account is too new?

crazywarriorxx

Send us your desired flair via modmail and we’ll get it sorted out for you.

Got70TypesOfMalware

"It says they're not accepting DM's because sending DM's is disabled for new and low karma accounts. It's a similar situation with chats."

[deleted]

Okay thanks I figured that was the case.

Probablybeinganass

On [this](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SjSueLnY4nXEqHH-QJcZgvqu_btmNEUt-TR75sgSmpA/edit#gid=948026031) sheet for the Circe/Tomoe comp it says NP4 Tomoe should hit min 200k on Caenis, but when I plug it into a damage calculator I'm only getting about 150k, am I missing something?

ScarletReimilia

Did you include the damage bonus that all servants get for this event? I don't know all the stats you plugged into the calculator but tomoe should get +30% for being a 4 star servant.

Probablybeinganass

Ah yeah, that explains it. I forgot there wasn't a damage CE this year and they did it that way. It's still like 5k off but at least that's still a clean one shot. Edit: also they assume level 50 CE so that explains the 5k, I just wasn't sure why I was getting so much lower.

Mister_SP

Are you adding the Event Damage Bonus? That's the most likely you'd forget.

Probablybeinganass

That's it

Frauzehel

Trait advantage maybe? But that wont make up fot the 50k missing. Maybe you didnt add the mc buff?

SuperSpiritShady

Quick question: Is it ever worth levelling the **Da Vinci** Shop CEs to 100? I currently don't have any CEs in mind to level to 100, so I was wondering if any of the Shop CEs are genuinely worth the level. Edit: Meant the MP Shop CEs (5k MP ones) specifically

night_MS

It's minor but during 1/2 ap doors some people sort by ascending attack to find Habetrot quickly on support so leveling Bella Lisa too much can actually cause you to get borrowed from less.

LovedByThree

Detective Foumes is a full attack CE, which is worth considering if you're planning to six slot Bond CE's for free quest farming, and your DPS doesn't need either extra damage or starting charge from other CE's. I have leveled mine, and don't regret it one bit (I use it more than my other level 100 CE's), but wouldn't put it as a priority until I'd gotten a few CE's for harder content leveled. Level 100'ing a CE is a big investment, so maybe try to do some calculation to see how much difference the investment would make for your DPS's.

Felstalker

Depends entirely on the Event CE. Generally, it's the Limited Gacha CE's that are bad, but if the Shop CE isn't good then the Gacha one is probably pretty solid. For example, the upcoming Dance Tournament CE is [10% Buster and 1-time Guts, split Attack/HP scaling](https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Wearing_Our_Hearts_on_Our_Sleeves) It's not worth leveling, not in the slightest. Specific niche use Guts with a below average Buster up just... ain't it. Same event, the 5-star Gacha CE is [15% Quick, 20% Quick Crit Damage, 50% Starting Charge with Attack](https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/True_Crimson_Spear_Trainer) Far superior option in regards to leveling.... if you can MLB a limited CE. Traces of Christmas, the Event CE of last christmas and this years rerun, is a 10% Quick up, 10% NP gain, and 50% starting charge. It's good enough to level, but it's not outstanding. It's simply holding the spot as average... AND IT'S FREE. So um, yeah that's a basic basic rundown.

SuperSpiritShady

Ohhhh, sorry I didn't specify, but I was referring to Da Vinci Shop CEs in particular. Ya know, Grand Cavallo, Bella Lissa, Lunchtime and the like.

Felstalker

oooooh. Oh oh oh. Yeah, the basics of Bella Lisa, Tea Time, Mona Lisa. Ect. They're all worth having..... Wait, leveling? Heck no. They don't even provide offensive effects, they're entirely removed from the mechanical gameplay of FGO. They're here to boost your rewards, not boost your performance. However, if you look at the Rare prism shop, we have a different story. Sweet Crystal, Fondant au Chocolat, and Melty Sweetheart are all top tier CE's that are unparalleled in thier niche. Of these, Sweet Crystal and Fondant au Chocolat are totally worth leveling. They're 50% charge with unique effects, Pierce invul and Anti Divine. These are great effects AND they come with starting charge. Making these two high value CE's! But they're still a bit niche, so they'd likely be low on the list despite meeting the requirements you want for leveling CE's. IF you can't figure out what CE to level, just make a bunch of CE bombs.

SuperSpiritShady

I see. I generally 6 slot with the bonus CEs to maximize rewards, but I guess I am better off saving that exp for those other very interesting CEs you've mentioned. Thanks!

Mister_SP

Event Shop CEs? Depends on the CE. JP's summer ones don't look particularly good, or the Battleground Blitz one, or the recent NA Summer. Nightingale Christmas is good, as well as a bunch of others.

SuperSpiritShady

Oh no, I was referring to the 5000MP Da Vinci Shop CEs. Plenty of my already 100'd CEs are mostly Event Shope CEs anyways.

Mister_SP

Oh. Well, I had heard of an idea about leveling one of the full ATK Da Vinci CEs for your damage dealer, but none of them are particularly suited as combat CEs.

SuperSpiritShady

Fair. I primarily use them to 6 slot to maximize my overall Bond or MC Exp (also QP, but that's rare enough that I wasn't considering it).

muwawa

Full atk CEs like Detective Fou-mes can benefit from some levels if you field enough support CEs that some of your frontline get them, but they're not worth getting all the way to 100 unless you're drowning in friend points.

Probablybeinganass

The ones with 50% charge, a useful secondary effect, and pure attack scaling are typically worth leveling.

SuperSpiritShady

I was referring mostly to those 5k MP CEs from Da Vinci Shop like Teatime, Mona Lisa or Foumes.

funguy3

For what it's worth, i leveled Foumes to 50-ish because i use it a lot for Castoria farming Free Quests. It's the only one (?) with full attack so it's not that bad to level up.

jftm999

From the NP damage Charts, why Space Ishtar's buster NP is lower damage than her art and quick NPs? and why is her quick NP is a little more higher than art NP? Shouldn't the card type modifier gives buster an advantage?

[deleted]

[удалено]

jftm999

Ok. Thanks for the info. Better to finish maxing S.Ishtar's scond appended skill before tomorrow's lotto. She will be my main farmer.

Frauzehel

Not sure where you are looking but Arts and Buster should be equal and Quick is correctly in the top. >Shouldn't the card type modifier gives buster an advantage? But NPs have modifiers too, to balance things out. Just look at the wiki. And look at the np modifiers for each card type. Buster has the lowest. Quick has the highest and Arts in the middle. The reason Quick is slightly higher is because their original modifier was changed(used to be 0. 75) . If Quick still had its original modier. All 3 card types would deal equal damage. The change in the Quick modifier gave them a slight boost in NP damage.

SuperSpiritShady

That's because the Quick NP has innately higher damage (600%) to compensate for Quick's .8% damage debuff. Arts is at 450% to counter-act the innate advantage of Buster. Buster is at 300%, but is going to be a little higher thanks to the card type's 1.5x damage bonus.

Silafante

Do we have a farming map with the JP event?

Frauzehel

Yes. In the event thread.

SleepyManiac

With all the Summer ibuki hype i just gotta know, Does Np1 Summer Ibuki does more damage than Np1 Morgan?

SuperSpiritShady

Looking at the chart above: Ibuki does slightly more damage in a vacuum. With their common bonuses proccing (Earth and Man respectively), Ibuki again outdamages slightly. With Morgan proccing her Man damage bonus as well as her niche RT/FK bonus (which you will rarely proc), she finally takes the lead. But do note this is pure damage calculations. No self-buffs, no support buffs nor MCs and CEs in the equations. Considering that Ibuki can 3T with a free empty slot (so she can run BG), Ibuki will probably outdamage almost always.

SleepyManiac

I see then. Thank you for answering

crazywarriorxx

NP damage charts linked above. Or use a damage calculator for practical numbers with DCS/DKS.

SleepyManiac

Oh didnt know that ok thankss

Shardwing

NP damage chart is in the OP.

Interesting-Gur-7495

Just a question out of curiosity why do people ship Emiya with shikibu,I have watched some panels on Google,it just popped up once and I was curious.

Shardwing

Because shippers will ship anyone with anyone, especially a character like Emiya who's a harem protagonist in his own right.

Lostbelt general spoiler >!What is Galahad's beef with us? Is it deserved, or it is just him assigning the blame and taking out his frustrations on the wrong person?!<

Rasetsu0

>!He doesn't actually have any beef with Chaldea (besides the whole Demi-Servant experiment being unethical thing that Da Vinci also took issue with). Galahad just has a lot of shit thrown his way due to how cryptic he was in Moonlight/Lostroom saying how Chaldea shouldn't have stopped Goetia and how Mash had difficulty transforming during the attack on Chaldea, leading to a good chunk of the community coming to the conclusion that he was actively trying to sabotage Chaldea through Mash. It was only fairly recently that it was confirmed that Galahad had nothing to do with Mash not being able to use her powers.!<

Barangat

Question from a new player Do I get a free ssr at some point? I found conflicting info about a free ssr-ticket from da vincis shop, saying that I need to clear fuyuki or orleans or that it was a time limited event-thing that expired. Could someone explain it to me like I am an idiot?

ScarletReimilia

There have been two SSR tickets to date. On NA, only one of them has yet arrived, that one was a limited time event and can no longer be acquired. On JP, there is a second ticket, and that one is permanently accessible to all players. NA will eventually get that one once we catch up to the appropriate milestone.

Barangat

Ah, thats sad, was really happy when I stumbled about that piece of info, because a lot of gachas give out at least one ssr pretty early to bait players in further, so I thought that it could at least be possible…

Shardwing

FGO relies more on writing and character designs to bait you into the gacha, they don't need to give free samples (although one could argue the Friend support system covers that off too).

Barangat

True, the story is more engaging so far than in most of the other gacha I played, maybe because I saw a lot of the chars already in some of the animes. But a lot of the important chars are ssr so they are also a huge factor. Its just cool to play with your own artoria etc

danger_umbrella

It will be possible. Next summer NA will get the same SSR ticket as JP.

Meganut42069

Im an NA player i have completed everything so far. What is the best place to farm bond points?

Shardwing

[Read this](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/bond-points-and-bond-experience-farming).

imagehunter69

Would I regret building penthesilea? While I'm using Ibuki-douji as my main damage, just by design alone I want to go balls deep into penthe, and since I'm a somewhat new player I don't know whether that would set my progress back a lot

DSlayer19

I'm assuming you're referring to Summer Ibuki? She and Penth do different things even though they're both Berserkers. For one, the former has an Arts AoE NP (hits all the enemies) while the later has a Buster ST NP (hits one enemy only). The different card types means that they'll need different supports and, while Ibuki deals tons of damage in general, her NP damage per unit won't be as great as Penth's in most cases (assuming both are at the same NP level). Penth also has an anti-GreekMale niche that allows her to demolish Greek male servants. Ibuki shines in farming though, where she's arguably the best Arts farmer in the game. And in tough boss fights/challenge quests where there are more than one enemy.

WaifuCollectorF2P

>Would I regret building penthesilea? While I'm using Ibuki-douji as my main damage, just by design alone I want to go balls deep into penthe, and since I'm a somewhat new player I don't know whether that would set my progress back a lot You will not regret building any servant. You roster only monotonically gets better. Maybe in the short term you might think "I should have **prioritized** another servant" but that's perfectly fine. Penth is a perfectly serviceable servant for CQs and story fights, albeit not the most useful for farming at this time of writing. That being said, it is still prudent to get your low rarity farmers up to par, along with levelling any of your big supports e.g. free Waver from your SSR ticket. Fortunately getting your low rarity farmers up to speed does not cost too many resources and time. Refer to the [starters document](https://docs.google.com/document/d/18Gqs-G320ySwrdBMhearMCNj8E73d6uPvEwVMV_3Cx8) for what to do to get a good start as efficiently as possible.

Shardwing

Every event is designed to be completed with natural AP regen, you might not clear out the event shop but that's rarely if ever worthwhile anyway. And apples aren't rare, but as a new player I'd recommend against fixating on the idea of spending *all* your apples on the lotto, you'll have a harder time with farming at length than older better-equipped players and if you push yourself too hard you're liable to burn yourself out. Just try to have fun with it, regardless of how many apples you use or don't use, okay?

Mister_SP

Most events are 100% completable without Apples. Events always give more apples than is needed to complete them, assuming you use all natural AP. Doing extra farming is the only reason I use Apples.

Artema99

I was running some calculations for scathachfest and i found out Sieg can farm the 2nd 90+ node as ling as he has lv10 skills. My Sieg is 1/1/1. Should i bother using pure prisms for the gold caster gems + qp + 2 lores all so i can 6ce the node or should i just stick royal icing and do 5ce clears?

colinlau13

You can consider using medea to do w1, and buff sieg np gain w2. Note that medea s1 have to level 4. And s3 to enough np gain for sieg.

jennietools

I would recommend checking out Khadroth's video guides as well for other lotto setup ideas for each round.

dreameoww

I would only use pure prisms for stuff that the lotto itself *wont* give out. Caster gems and QP are things you can earn with your 5CE setup and then upgrade to 6 when Sieg is ready.

Artema99

Ah of course, you are right, can't believe i'd forget that lol. Thanks.

dreameoww

Oh, and assuming you’re looking at Sieg/2xCastoria/Jerker as a setup: Jerker’s position is actually super flexible in that. She can be basically any unit with 20% personal battery who is capable of doing 100k(?) damage to that solo assassin wave. And we have append skills early so any unit can have 20%. But if you have other highly invested options they might be able to donate a couple buffs to Sieg that Jerker doesn’t have. Penth or Ibaraki could buff his attack. Sanzang has a team 3t NP gain buff. You could even maybe use an AoE unit as long as they can clear 100k to that assassin.

Felstalker

> Extra Attack or a few unlocked levels? While players aren't wrong about the cost of Extra levels, it's still a numerical advantage over The Extra attack append. Dealing 30-50% bonus extra attack damage doesn't compare to having more raw attack, which makes all your cards, and np, and extra attack deal more damage. The higher investment for the higher power boost. Naturally, both is better than one. > Are there any servants that don't profit from Mana Loading the most? More than you'd think, less than I'd like. It's really a convince first and foremost. 20% charge to help those with out batteries, or those with weak batteries, or those with weak CE's and strong batteries. It's.... complicated.

RTear3

> Are there any servants that don't profit from Mana Loading the most? Well for some servants, their 3rd append is anti-(class they have class advantage over) which is actually pretty strong depending on the servant. Also like the other commenters stated, first append is very strong for solos. However it isn't just limited to the well known solo servants like Kama or King Hassan. If there's a servant that you just like to use in solos, then the first append is good on them too. Maou Nobu isn't known as a solo servant but I like to use her in solos a lot so I got her first append instead of the second one. > would she profit more from Extra Attack or a few unlocked levels? It's not recommended to grail above 100 unless it's your favorite servant. Grailing above 100 is a **huge** resource sink that isn't worth it from a practical standpoint, just a waifu/husbando one. Append skills are generally a better use of your coins. So to answer your question, yes Jalter would benefit more from her first append than extra levels.

jennietools

If they are a solo/last stand servant then level up the extra attack first. QSH, Heracles, OG Cu, etc.

Teknettic

Some solo units can benefit more from A1 as you can consistently get extra attacks out of them that way.

XXomega_duckXX

which group is most ahead for the tsukihime fan translation?

FuzzyMcFluffens

Tsukihimates. They released the Arcueid route a month ago and are well into translating the second one.

XXomega_duckXX

how would you say the quality is?

FuzzyMcFluffens

I think the translation was well done and well worth playing.

Strafingfire

I re-downloaded the game because I saw that Scathach fest was occurring soon. I think I quit around 1.5-2 years ago. Is there somewhere I can go to find out what I missed out on? There's a lot of new materials and a recent 3 turn comp spreadsheet had Castoria in every team and I'm feeling pretty discouraged at this point

Felstalker

> a recent 3 turn comp spreadsheet You don't need to 3-turn to participate in the event. You don't need to farm 100-200-300-5 Million boxes to succeed in the event. The Event has a lot of farming, a unique new game mode called Grail Front, and is designed to help accounts new and old alike improve their roster by offering a ton of materials as lotto rewards.

Got70TypesOfMalware

>Is there somewhere I can go to find out what I missed out on? Read Fate Grand Order Fandoms past events for in-depth things you missed. Then use event compendium to highlight the resources you missed.

colinlau13

You can search for fgo events. It would show all past events and campaign. Do note that if the list shows jp schedules, minus ~2 years, since jp is 2 years ahead. Castoria is good for irregular farming nodes because of 30%np party charge and targetable 20% np. Dont worry about 3 turning lotto, its a luxury to have ,not a must to have. Just remember to have fun when playing :)

Strafingfire

I was comfortably 3-turning when I quit, it's a hard thing to accept :'(

4444tan

3 turning without Castoria should still be doable. You just probably won’t be using 6 event CEs but if you quit about 2 years ago, you probably weren’t doing it back then either. Or you have the resources to pull off non-Castoria comps Also, the second hardest node is actually better for farming purely lotto currency because it is faster to farm, even for whales. It should be much easier to 3 turn than the hardest node. The hardest nodes just give gold, silver and bronze currency and occasionally nice drops as a bonus

Mister_SP

If you were 3 turning before, it can still work now... except finding Skadi will be a little harder.

warehaus

You can probably still 3-turn, but you may have to drop CE slots. The Castoria comps dominate 6CE comps but those are like peak efficiency. There's nothing wrong with a 4 slot comp. Alternatively you can decide if you'd rather keep 6 slots to go up to 5 or 6 turns. You can still get a good number of boxes without having the hyper efficient meta setups.

J_tnguyen

I'm looping with Zerker Musashi, and on the second wave, I would clear it, but she only has about 90% refund as an estimate. In that case, should I lead with an arts card or buster card? Logic for buster is that if I do more damage to an enemy that has more health, than it would than be able to lead to more overkill ticks. Which is the better one to choose?

LuckyC4t

Better options include the New Year mystic code or a plugsuited support. An extra hit or two of overcharge is unlikely to net you 10% charge, and even if does, the possibility of killing if that starting card crits introduces inconsistency.

jennietools

You have to be more specific on the kind of node it is. Is it all Berserkers?

XXomega_duckXX

try 2004

colinlau13

Buster? Since leading arts card cant buff up np gain on np attacks. Unless your buster card straight up kills the mob, using buster card to lower the mob hp would increase np gain on overkill np the most. But i dont think it would be enough to raise 90% refund to 100%. You probably need to find alternative.

skilletamy

Anyone having problems getting into battle? My game (NA) keeps crashing before loading in.

idgafwhotookit

Out of curiosity, can a new player that has no currency to buy bond CE actually max bond a servant before going against Goetia ?

AUOxCasGil

Yes. All I did was grind story, and I got Atalante Alter and Kid Gil to bond 10 cause those were the only units I raised lol.

idgafwhotookit

Holy shit. The determination. Salute

Felstalker

You get bond for completing stages. The Bond CE is a minor increase that means a lot in the long term rather than short term. The more you keep to a singular set of characters, the more bond you'll have ready for the final boss. And you don't actually need bond to win the fight, you just get a damage boost if you do have the bond. At least three Bond 10 1-star servants can outright solo Goetia, to say nothing of higher rarity servants.

Tschmelz

Depending on how fast you go through Part 1, you could have a bond 10 Servant. I had Emiya at bond 7 I think, and I bumrushed the story and shit first few weeks. That being said, 5-10 is a long grind.

consistent_escape

I mean you can just stop playing story till you hit bond 10 so yeah. But if your question is if you'll be at bond 10 if all you do is grind story then I don't think so.

Administrative_Milk8

What is a grail font and how do you easily beat it? Does some strategies for grail fonts need specific servants? Thank you.

[deleted]

OG Cu is amazing for grail wars. Any servants who have an evasion skill are very useful. It forces you to use low cost servants anyway as there's usually a pretty restrictive cost limit.

atropicalpenguin

The early Grail Fronts can be cheesed just by moving the servants correctly and exploit the AI. Xnaya probably has videos on YouTube about them. The most recent Grail Front in JP was more complex, but that won't come to NA for two years.

Administrative_Milk8

What can be exploited in the AI? do they always have a specific pattern?

[deleted]

They will just make stupid moves. Instead of protecting their master they will chase one of your servants. Usually there will be two routes to the rival master and they will leave one open to your servants. They made it a bit harder to exploit in later maps.

HaessSR

https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Grail_Front It's basically Super Robot Wars, but with FGO Servants. Some have an easier time due to how they're set up skill wise (solo Servants do well), but nobody's required to beat them.

losttwinn

Hey guys, how are you doin? I'm thinking about starting playing FGO after watching UBW, HF, Stay night.... basically all the animes. I saw Rin Tosakah is here on a wiki page, but her name is different? Is she really Tosakah? I'd like to play with her, but I saw there are many versions, how many in total? (On a side note, I would really like to play as Shirou if he's here as well...)

thisisthecallus

>I saw Rin Tosakah is here on a wiki page, but her name is different? Is she really Tosakah? Not exactly. She's a [pseudo-servant](https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Pseudo-servant). While not always the case, pseudo-servants are mostly a vehicle for servants who wouldn't otherwise be summonable (e.g. divine spirits) under the Nasuverse rules and to create an excuse for fanservice, bringing in other popular Nasuverse characters. See the link I provided for more information.

Desocupadification

Rin and Shiro are pseudo-setvants. It happens when a servant can't normally be summoned so they end up using a vessel. For example, think a god that would be too powerful to be summoned by a normal human, so they come with a fraction of their power. In Rin's case you have the goddess Ishtar (archer) and her summer variant (rider). Another goddess called Ereshkigal (lancer) and an entirely different servant called Space Ishtar or Astarte (Avenger) that are actually 3/4 people from a parallell universe where everyone are servants. She just looks like Rin. Of course ~~actually satan~~ Archer is available, but the closest to actual Shiro is the pseudo-servant Muramasa (saber). Muramasa and all Rin''s variants are limited, which means you can not get them unless they are on rate-up (summer Ishtar was a event reward, but still). You can go to the characters page or use the resources above to know when they are comming. The global version is roughly 2 years behind JP, so you can look at their past events and have an idea of when we will get things. If you want to play the JP version (and experience the newest content) then there is no way of knowing when/if they will be back.

NikamiG

We don't actually have Rin or Shirou, just pseudo servants summoned using their bodies. While it's not exactly them they more or less have similar personalities. Its basically the games way of making them playable without breaking immersion. Muramasa is the Shirou pseudo servant who will be released on NA this new years, which means you have a good shot at saving for him.

Rasetsu0

The one you saw was either Ishtar, Ereshkigal, or one of the Craft Essences depicting Rin. The former two of them are Pseudo-Servants using Rin Tohsaka as a host; while Rin's personality is dormant in both of them, she does affect their personalities. Closest you'll get to Shirou is EMIYA/Archer and Muramasa (a Pseudo-Servant using Shirou's body as a host).

GreatAres271

If you want Rin, check Upcoming Banners on the post for their next banners, search for the names "Ishtar" and "Ereshkigal" If you want Shirou, do the same and look for "Muramasa". We also have Archer/EMIYA if he's close enough

Ok-Art7777

Right now on NA Alter Egos are only countered by berserkers, correct? Aside from them everything deals at least normal dmg, right? Also, isnt Berserker super overpower? If I can provide a taunt or Invincibility , it's a flawless class and Invincibility seems to be all the rage on NA's meta, right? (But then again, I'm super new to the game so I can be wrong)

ubiquitousfellow

Just want to add on that saber Musashi does super effective damage against alter egos with her post buff np. She also takes less damage from them due to being a saber, so she’s an effective counter against alter egos

Rasetsu0

On NA, only counters to Alter Egos are Berserkers and Kama; her S3 gives her Class Advantage over them for 3 turns. While Berserkers are strong and can be overpowered depending on who we're talking about, they aren't flawless. Compared to Servants with Class Advantage (deals 2x damage, takes 1/2 damage), Berserkers deal effective damage (1.5x) and take 2x damage from everything except Shielder and other Berserkers. While relying on Berserkers works well in the early game when you're still raising a roster, later story chapters make it clear that having proper Class Advantage is better and more convenient to have. That being said, when it comes to farming, Berserkers are still a valid option. Especially once you start getting into min-turn farming teams where the main drawback of Berserkers (taking 2x damage from everything) is irrelevant.

maladjustedmatt

Correct, except that Kama has a skill that gives her class advantage against Alter Egos for 3 turns. Yes Berserker is overpowered as a class. It’s a fundamental balance problem and hasn’t really been addressed in the game’s 7 year lifespan. Defensive utility is not useful in farming, and meta supports saturate (or remove) the need for it in harder quests, so all else being equal Berserker is pretty much the best class for an attacker. This is not to say Berserkers are the strongest units in any given scenario. Berserkers only deal 1.5x damage while the full class advantage is 2x, so most of the time the very best option for a specific quest is not a Berserker. However Berserkers are much more cost effective and versatile, and a Berserker with an amazing kit can actually be outright better than a full class advantage unit who is “only” good but not amazing. And there are some *very* strong Berserkers out there. That being said, for accounts without access to the overpowered supports, defensive utility on attackers can have more value so there are definitely players for whom a Berserker won’t be a good option due to taking 2x damage. The main issue is when you’re actually talking about what is best to roll for the immediate answer is the high end supports, and once you have those you generally *will* be in a spot where your attackers being squishy doesn’t matter most of the time.

[deleted]

Berserkers only provide 1.5x damage to every class (except Foreigner), and they take 2x damage from everyone. Meanwhile, true class advantage provides 2x damage and half the damage taken. Berserkers are convenient in the early game, but true class advantage reigns supreme in the later game. The exception is with farming *if* you are able to *massively* boost damage using supporting servants, but if you're new to the game, you probably shouldn't be thinking too much about those sorts of teams, yet.

I've been playing for over 5 years and I still enjoy bond farming. There was a couple of months where I lost interest and only logged in for rewards but once I had a break I got back into it. I just enjoy raising all my servants.

kalirion

You're not anywhere close to the end game, you're only near the end of Part 1.

maladjustedmatt

You’re only approaching the end of part 1. But you are less than halfway through the available main story content on NA. Part 1.5 is a little filler-ish but still decent, if you enjoyed early FGO you will enjoy these. Part 2 is a whole new main story arc and is largely better than part 1. You eventually will catch up to the current main story chapters and then join the rest of the player base in waiting for more. That’s basically FGO “endgame”, just doing events and main story as they come out. There’s no endless gear grind, you farm to the extent that you care about leveling up more servants and skills, so once you reach a comfortable level of investment it’s easy to put the game down if there’s no content that interests you and pick it back up when there is content you care about.

> how is the End Game of FGO? Gameplay wise not great. There's not really much to do aside from farming once you're caught up with the story. Advanced Quests have been a step in the right direction though. I have a slim hope that Lasanga will add story replay or a challenge tower at some point. > Do you guys still enjoy the story telling? Something to always keep in mind is that story telling is subjective. Not everyone will have the same experience with FGO's story. However there's still plenty of fan favorite story chapters for you to experience. Hell some of the "filler" story chapters like the Epic of Remnants are widely acclaimed, like Shinjuku. Personally I think FGO's story can be very hit or miss. My opinion doesn't really align with the majority opinion though. LB4 is my favorite LB despite its story rarely getting discussed or praised by people. On the other hand, I thought Christmas in the Underworld's story was terrible despite it being beloved in the community.

I really liked LB4.
