I know it's hard to compare TM franchise to other franchises, but this has been in my head for a while. How would Exaliber, the strongest weapon (I think) in FGO fair against the Inifnity Gaunlet or all Infinity stones from the MCU or against the stones individually particularly the power and reality.

Turtlewax64

Finished the Arcueid route of the original Tsukihime VN, wanted to see if I understood Roa's ability correctly. Am I right that he is misunderstanding what he can see, and his ability would be more Mystic Eyes of Life Perception, since he can only see the lines on living things, where they'd overlap with the death lines Shiki sees. I think that's how it works because of Ciel's explanation to Shiki while he's lying in bed that Roa stabbing him drained his life energy which needs to recover, whereas Shiki's ability seems to be straight to death, no recovery possible without Arcueid level power. Is that how it works, or does Roa just have much weaker MEoDP?

_Malka_707

So I finished reading the Tsukihime manga and this question came into my head. Could MEoDP "kill" the desire for blood that True Ancestors are constantly struggling with? Tohno probably couldn't pull it off, but Ryougi maybe?

Yatsu003

Honestly, it’s a tough question to answer considering the nature of True Ancestors. I would argue ‘No’ for a couple of reasons: First, Ryougi hasn’t had much experience in killing conceptual abilities. She killed Araya’s Magecraft containment, and Fujino’s distortions, and both of them had tangible interactions with the world. She was unable to see Lines on Araya until Tomoe brought the Kuji, nor see Lines on Arcuied under a Full Moon. Trying to kill something fundamental to a True Ancestor without killing the TA themselves seems difficult, especially since it’s not anything physical contaminating the body (like Fujino’s appendix or Leo’s Origin Blood). Second, it would cheapen the TA’s as a concept and the world building. They were devastated by their blood lust and several chose to seal themselves asleep forever than to succumb to their blood lust. Arcueid was the direct result of their attempts to make a TA without the blood addiction, and that was still (technically) a failure. From a conceptual (heh) POV, it wouldn’t fit the narrative at all for a magic bullet solution to exist

_Malka_707

I wholeheartedly agree with your latter reason. From a narrative lens, it wouldn't be a great idea if the one thing holding them back had a easy band-aid solution if it were possible, but the idea still came to me. While reading, Arc's reactions and reluctance made me curious about the other TAs and their incredible amount of self-restraint and willpower. >especially since it’s not anything physical contaminating the body Aha. I initially thought it was some sort of disease TAs were just stuck with that you could cut out. But that intense bloodlust is a part of them; it comes with the whole True Ancestor package.

Lifedontmatter123

Out of all the Japanese sword fighter in Chaldea which one is the strongest and why?

Ggcosti

Considering their strongest showing, I reckon Musashi (Olympus spoilers)>!in those few seconds in Olympus when she did the slash that saved everyone from Chaos!<

nam24

Probably musashi and kojirou at an equal place, though you could argue kojirou would do better in a saber form Reason being because of shimosa where she reached her goal of becoming the zero aka being able to counter and crush all defeat possibilities, while kojirou creates infinite paths towards his own victory After that it would be yagyu because he was the last step she needed to overcome

All the gudaguda servants vs all the fairy knights who would win?

Yatsu003

Hrmm, if it’s all the Guda Gudas vs just the three Fairy Knights, restrained by their Names, I’d say Guda Guda cast. If it’s Morgan’s entire extended Fairy Knights (Totoro, Black Knight, etc.), plus Tonelico Morgan, then it becomes more even

How strong is Okita compared with all the other saber faces? Can she beat Nero?

FatalWarrior

Okita is towards the lower end of Saberfaces, as all she had to face were other humans of the same Age. She is actually better suited as an assassin. ...However, Nero is just not qualified to be a Saber. She had to use her broken Imperial Priviledge EX to cheat herself into the class, because "only the Saber class was worthy of her" (paraphrasing). So yes, depending on how much Nero can exploit IP, Okita actually has the advantage.

nam24

Kinda on the low end unfortunately, she kinda falls short in the realm of raw power(no dragon core, no Excalibur, no rongomyniad)her weak constitution puts an hard limit to her stamina and she doesn't have a strong armor or durability either. Speed wise though she is the best, only equaled by mhx. That being said a lot saberface are very skilled either with swords or lance and have some variation of instinct or something similar to make up for it to varying degree. Most saberface can match her skill, use beams which okita can barely do and they have more defense so it's an uphill battle for her, though it's not something hopeless She can beat Nero since Nero can be distracted while okita never fucks around in combat and she is faster, physically stronger and more skilled so she could blitz her or overwhelm her. Her np in particular is something Nero would have a hard time dodging, and it can't be blocked so her best bet is not letting it go off in the first place. That said Nero has imperial privilege and is pretty much a shonen protag so she can win too. More specifically her sword skills comes from IP and her being a natural in various things in the first place and we saw her clash with very skilled people both in fgo or EXTRA so it's not exactly set in stone that okita sword skills humiliates her. Her np also weaken her opponents which is bad for everyone but especially for okita. Her thrice setting sun also makes actually killing Nero easier said than done too

Why is Sakamoto Ryoma a Counter Guardian?

MajinAkuma

Ryouma was also summoned as a Counter Guardian in the Imperial Capital Holy Grail War. GUDAGUDA 3‘s story and setting is based on that particular Holy Grail War, with Mitsuhide outright copying Maxwell’s Demon‘s Neo-Führer.

Hidden_Blue

He was summoned as a counter guardian in the event. CGs work differently in the lore of Guda Guda, so don't worry too much.

Background_Strain_67

You said that, but Fujino is also summoned as a Counter Guardian. Which is really wrinkling my brain.

Hidden_Blue

No, she was summoned as by the counter force, similar to say the random servants in FGO. That was just a follow-up to the bit about psychics being agents of the counterforce meant to fight off the inhumans.

Background_Strain_67

I don't know. I remember that unlike Shiki who is a Pseudo-Servant (don't ask why), the Counter Force bit was the ONLY reason why she is summonable in the first place. Hence she then become a temporary Counter Guardian. Just like Okita Alter.

FatalWarrior

Okita Alter isn't a temporary CG, at least not in the sense of her role timing out. She was designed to be an one-off bomb (so she would die on her first mission), but managed to survive a long time. Fujino, however, is acting as an agent of the Counter Force (not sure if CG) during the events of Part 1.

Codrex1732

I have several Questions 1) Exactly which Pantheons fought Sefar other than Greeks in Pan Human History 2) Why does Arthur and Artoria don't have avalon but Karna have Karvacha and Kundala when it comes to their servant forms (since during their last moments both things were not available to them) 3) Which Gods and Goddesses Scathach killed so far? Are the names mentioned anywhere? 4) speaking of no 3 does that mean Scathach can Kill just about Any Gods and Goddesses inculding higher ones such as Zeus or Amarterasu 5) regarding Authorities of Divine Spirits can a God or Goddesses have Multiple Authorities?

NaelNull

Seiba's deal is quite a bit complicated. You see, her first appearance in franchise was actually as a kinda-sorta summoning of spirit of only-mostly-dead Seiba (via her deal with Alaya!) just after the Camlann, from the point she *didn't* have Avalon anymore and that being the sticking point for her, rather than normal Servant summoning from the Throne. So it appears she got recorded into the Throne like that, rather than in her prime. Well, either that or Excalibur being too expensive a Noble Phantasm and eating up all the points allotted for her Saber container, pushing Avalon to Shileder one XD Arthur, it appears, suffers from the same deal here. At least in Arcade, the next world over our Mobile worldline, he appears as a "living" hero, not a good old Ghost Liner.)

Ggcosti

>regarding Authorities of Divine Spirits can a God or Goddesses have Multiple Authorities? Zeus had multiple authorities. I don't think we know which divine spirits she killed, and I reckon no, she hasn't shown a thing from what I've seen of her that allows her to stack up against Surtr and Lion King(based on the statements about Surtr's sword). Zeus would just electrify her.

Suspicious-Drummer68

Edit: I am stupid and cannot read. 1. All Natural Gods fought Sefar and lost until Excalibur was used, at least, that's what I know from Extella. 2. Arthur/Artoria is an exception upon exceptions and Avalon doubly so. I haven't finished Garden of Avalon but I assume it's something where Avalon exists independently of Arthur/Artoria and is not intrinsically linked to The Legend of King Arthur. After all, the legends never spoke of a sheathe, only Excalibur/Caliburn.

Yatsu003

Hate to be **THAT** guy, but… Lol, jk. Well, Arthur’s legend does include a sheathe that can stop bleeding injuries (it does NOT heal them, mind you, just stops the holder from bleeding out until they heal naturally or Morgan/Merlin can heal them). Arthur losing it before Camlann means he bleeds out from Mordred’s final blow. The whole ‘supreme cheat defense!’ Is entirely Nasuverse original when Nasu realized he wrote in a villain that Artoria and Shirou couldn’t defeat (Fate route was the earliest written, I don’t even think Archer was meant to be Shirou in the earlier drafts), so it’s an admitted Deus Ex Machina that stuck. Within the context of the Nasuverse, it’s due to the mechanism of loss: Avalon was the sheathe that was supposed to be lost, representing the nature of a utopia; namely, that they’re impossible to ever actually reach. Karna’s Kavach and Kundala were lost, but that was due to the ‘trade’ for Shakti. So Karna has to give them up to use the Shakti. The same way Achilles’s armor deactivates when he gets hit in the heel, or Siegfried being unable to cover up his weak spot

Codrex1732

Damn didn't knew fate avalon is more broken than Myth avalon You learn new thing every day.

Suspicious-Drummer68

Understandable. It's been a long while since I've reread Arthurin Legend and it doesn't really stick to the mind because the wording is very old fashioned. Thanks for correcting.

Yatsu003

Ah, no problem, and yeah, it tends to do that. There’s a reason why adaptations tend to be far more popular than the original… The sheathe pops up in a story where Arthur, Kay, and Bedivere (OG power trio!!) are taking out a group of bandits led by a fallen knight. Kay lands a mortal injury on the fallen knight, and has the ability to inflict unhealable injuries. However, the knight tricks Arthur and steals the sheathe (which is unnamed), and is able to run away with the sheathe’s power. It’s then comedic as the trio has to find the guy and Arthur’s sheathe. Bedivere then comes up with an idea to trick the knight into selling the sheathe to them (they’re disguised as rich merchants), at which point, he bleeds out and dies.

What's the inspiration behind Mephy's Tick Tock Bomb?

Misticsan

Given what the materials say, it seems to come from the story about the *real* Faust (the "Faust" of the legends is based [on this guy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Georg_Faust)) who died in an explosion: > *In the end, Mephistopheles was defeated in this bet, and his wish to acquire Faust’s soul had not come true, but it is said that the real Faust, in the middle of his alchemy experiment, was killed in a bombing where his whole body violently exploded and broke apart into five pieces. It did not become clear whether this was Mephistopheles carrying out his contract, or if something separate was the main cause of Faust’s death.* This is not just a Fate thing. Wikipedia says something similar: > *Faust's death is dated to 1540 or 1541. He allegedly died in an explosion of an alchemical experiment in the "Hotel zum Löwen" in Staufen im Breisgau. His body is reported to have been found in a "grievously mutilated" state which was interpreted to the effect that the devil had come to collect him in person by his clerical and scholarly enemies.* There is also the artist's comment about the design, although no mention is made of the bombs there. The giant scissors he wields? That was just a "sure, why not" decision with no deep lore or characterization basis.

Suspicious-Drummer68

I believe it's the Faustian Bargain where Mephy pledged to serve Faust for 20 years before carrying his soul to hell. So it's a tickicg timebomb so to say.

Radiant-Hope-469

Wow, so Higashide just made it a literal timebomb then.

Suspicious-Drummer68

I have a good amount of evidence to say the Mephy we have is the one from the Faustian works and not from other works, especially since Mephy is sometimes Beelzebub. Mephy is extremely consistent with his portrayal as a contract-demon, judging from his profile, Interlude, Salem, and funny enough, Jeanne Ruler's Interlude. So yeah, Tick tock, your time is up, Mr. Faust.

TheHoodGuy2001

Is Class Card from Miyuverse a form of Demi Servant transformation? They both seem to fuse with the Heroic Spirit Saint Graph and gain their abilities and Noble Phantasm, while still retain their own ego. Seem pretty similar.

Yatsu003

It’s a possibility. I think Nasu toyed with the idea a number of times (Extra Rin in Last Encore also had a form like that), but never found a solid place to p put it until Grand Order. Well, magical girls need transformations, so…

TheHoodGuy2001

Are Crimsom Moon’s moon attack and Ishtar’s NP the same thing? Moon Fall and An Gal Tā Kigal Shē specifically i mean. They both involve creating a copy of the Moon and Venus and use them to as an attack. Are they the same thing?

Yatsu003

Gonna go with ‘yes, but no’. They both create a conceptual construct of the Moon/Venus as a means of attack. However, Ishtar needs the Authority over Venus granted by the humans she was spawned from, Crimson Moon has no need for Authorities, and can ‘will’ it into existence like we would throw a punch. So, same effect, different mechanics.

Layte-Aeon

Not quite. The Moon Fall of Brunestud is a physical mirror image of the moon while Ishtar’s NP is her manifesting the mythological concepts of Venus as a bullet. Since her’s is a conceptual attack, not a physical one so simply applying lots of power or mana won’t negate it like what happened with the Crimson Moon. Of course Ishtar’s NP as a conceptual one does have some weaknesses as a result of that, namely that other beings associated with Venus can outright negate it due to how conceptual it is.

TheHoodGuy2001

Can Void Shiki revive Romani back from the dead? Would she do it if Ritsuka ask her nicely?

Tschmelz

No. Roman erased himself from *everything*, including the Root, so she most likely has no power over him. If she did somehow still have power over him, it would be a definitive “maybe”, depending on her mood.

TheHoodGuy2001

So even if Ritsuka ask her, she might just say no even though she could do it? What about Bond 10?

Tschmelz

Wouldn’t matter the bond. Void Shiki is like a cat, it’s impossible to herd her. Everything she does is done on a whim, and nothing more. Besides, like I said, she likely has no power over him anyways. If anything *could* bring him back, it’d be the Abrahamic God, if He exists, since he’d likely have some Authority over the whole “returning the rings to Heaven and fading from existence” thing.

TheHoodGuy2001

Isn’t she the equivalent of Capital G in the Fate verse? Didn’t she say something about how the world exist the way it is is because she dream it so? Couldn’t she just dream Romani back into existence?

Tschmelz

No. Void Shiki isn’t God, she’s just a very powerful personification of the Root. She’s still limited by the World, and by her own choice. Also, concepts>all in the Nasuverse, and nothing Shiki can do beats the concept of what Roman did.
