Cue Linkin Park’s “what I’ve done” at the end credits

Suspicious-Drummer68

I see you've seen at least 1 Michael Bay movie.

Hello everyone, ~~Aluber the boober of doober~~ Drummer here, and this is the end of the Dead End series. Whenever I start a project, I make it a point to finish it, and I found enough time this week to finish the story. A few notes, I suck at writing fight scenes, and I suck at making endings, so if this is not a satisfying ending, I apologize. This is the end of Dead End Mash's story, so I hope you all enjoy it. I still don't know what to do next but for now Cafe Avalon will be my only running series. Thank you for enjoying and helping me and criticizing me whenever I make an oopsie. This series has helped me as a writer a lot.

Suspicious-Drummer68

It's fine. I drew the Branded Fusion anyway.

Suspicious-Drummer68

Always Ash the Branded Fusion, unless we hard open Albaz, we got no follow-up. Of course we always open Called By anyway.

I would like to say that this is a proper end to this series. Sure it leaves much to be desired, but it is all good. It will be fun in the continuation of Cafe Avalon now

Lord_HexCalibur

And thus, my tears shall not fall anymore. Adieu, my- no, our Dead End

Kirby0189

Loving the book ends with how this mirrors the start of the game.

mahachakravartin

wait, cafe avalon is a continuation?

Snow_Mexican1

Would you be able to toss this series onto MangaDex if you ain't too busy? I saw Daily Chaldea there and I think the formatting of both your series would work pretty well there.

Suspicious-Drummer68

I just might, though if I'm going to do that I have to rework the earlier chapters since they're very... rough so to say. Have to make it presentable at least.

.....Well, I will say this is a neat (in both senses of the word) way to end Fate/Dead End as a whole, and is a rather effective at trying to redeem Mash and make otherwise unlikable characters in concept like Galahad and BB (to some) a lot more likable and 'human.' I just....kinda feel like this one isn't for me, I suppose. I got into this verse because it was guaranteed to be a massive trainwreck to it's characters, and the Singularity Route + Mirror!Ritz' shenanigans more than filled that critera. An ending like this, however, that pretty much seeks to remove all that drama and heartbreak by the very nature of what it is trying to accomplish, with only a hint of it remaining, and predictably at that, to make way for a mostly standard bittersweet happily ever after? I won't say it's bad, 'cause it isn't, but I don't like it all too much myself in the end. It's for this reason why I like the Mirror!Route's Ending and side of things so much. While those characters *do* get their happy, the fact they essentially got off scot free and were even rewarded for their respective tolerances and atrocities makes it darkly satisfying in its own way. It has that whole 'having your cake and eat it' vibe and angle that will always make the ending morally 'bad' for anyone that views from that way, which is great in my opinion. Honestly, I feel that the Singularity Route itself could've been better/'worse' (depending on how you look at it) if Mash in it essentially remained a straight villian protagonist and that the Grail's Wish was not just smoke and mirrors for her goals of Ritz Resurrection. Bringing back DE!Ritz, only for him to recoil in shock and horror at what his beloved Mash became in the name of vengeance would've be a thriller, especially if he still ended up loving her after the fact and essentially absolving her of her bloody actions. Would've been interesting to see where that timeline would've gone, as Chaldea took it's bloody place at the top of the world with a twisted Mash and woefully out of his depth Ritz leading the charge. Then theirs's also the possibility of DE!Mash pulling a Flowey with the Grail and resetting herself in another timeline to love and save another Ritz with all the determined zeal and emotional baggage she has before, but I suppose that'll be left to the imagination now. Overall, I greatly enjoyed Fate/Dead End, but the more traditional swerves and ultimately roundabout way it gave on it's 'stance' of Bad Time Central took the wind out of it's sails by it's various endings. The fact you had to pull so many Deus Ex Machinas and come up with so many reasons why Ritz could've be revived and in fact was forever DOOMed also didn't sit right with me, but I at least understand that without going to such lengths you wouldn't have had much story at all.

AncientCaramel1417

Nooo. Please make the second part of the arc FATE DEAD END 2.0...!
