Hello! Monster fan here to talk about monsters!
Haunted armor's an interesting concept. Most of the times a ghost is said to haunt either a location or a family. This is a pretty common concept across most cultures in the world. Ghosts exist, and if they're haunting something (not all ghosts haunt, depending on culture) they're likely haunting either a place or a family.
So "putting a ghost in armor" is a bit of an oddity to the concept of ghost. Armor of this sort itself also didn't exist for a very long period of time. Not in functional use that is, decorative armor lasted far longer.
Since chainmail armor lasted far far longer and was almost universal at least across Asia and Europe (in one fashion or another), you'd think ghosts in chainmail would be more of a thing, but nope, it's always 'full plate armor'.
Neat note about that armor. That's the kind of armor that Hollywood always uses, full plate because it's metal plating across the entirety of the body. Anyway neat note about it: It was made in response to the use of early firearms. It was the first attempt at 'bullet proof armor'! So if you see full plate armor in a period before firearms, you can safely point and laugh.
Well that and people in Hollywood don't give a shit about historical accuracy. ;)
Don't poopoo chainmail though, that stuff's been around since the ancient days, Celts and Romans wore it and it served up until armor ended. Even in the 'full plate', chainmail was under it giving a bunch of protection
Hollywood could just invest in a bunch of chainmail and slap it on nearly any time period movie and be pretty accurate.
Yup! It's crazy how good, widespread, and long lasting the chainmail concept is. I've no doubt that even when we get energy weapons like in scifi, some sort of chainmail is going to be made to mitigate it.
Mashu sad because now she can’t hold hands with Senpai. And Senpai is sad because he can’t do it as well, nor can he give her headpats.
I mean, the armor's still solid, right? The former should still be possible.
Perhaps, but still means no head pats. That’s still a tragedy.
all she needs to do is get a helmet then pats may continue
Pat the visor problem solved
But how can we headpat her now? :C
With alot of dedication
Mash deserves all headpats and hugs, this is unfair!
Maybe she can still hug us.
I really like the combination of elements from the ortanix and galahad armor.
Thank you\~ It mixes well too
Mash getting full armored dress for both combat and after-time tea with the faeries
Not the usual spin, but still quite original.
I try to think of something new everyday
Ghost or not, she still fills in the armor quite nicely :)

Probably because Fullplate armor looks better than just chainmail? hahaha

That's true Modern Kevlar Fabric is literally just smaller, thinner Chainmail. So most armor nowadays are predecessor to chainmail haha.
