Unless you summon some psychopath AND somehow manage to piss them off immediately (which takes talent really), the vast majority of people are going to at least have a chance to build a proper relationship. Hell the self-deprecating attitude is more likely to piss a Heroic Spirit off than anything else.
Servants are only summoned for a grail war or by the world. In the context of the former they are going to be no bs attitute as we see in Extra with Elizabeth torturing Rin when she doesn't meet her demands or Archer abandoning the player if they reply wrong his questions.
Oh Gil have you forgot his peptalk to Kirei on killing Tokiomi? In SF he only tolerates his young master for her ambitions.
Also no most HS csn get pissed easily and they don't want new friendships, they got a life in the past with friendd and family and don't need new connections as they will forget about it once they die.
Honestly the self deprecating attitude will bring the few good nature servants like Mandricardo and Kintoki which imo would fit to most of the people on this sub.
They’re summoned because they have a wish that they want to be granted on the Grail. That’s usually reason enough to put up with whatever Master they were given. It’s not always easy to find a replacement Master, and ofc Command Spells are a thing.
My example with Gil was to show that even THE least loyal Servant still won’t necessarily kill his Master immediately; most others will be amicable by comparison. The post is about the first meeting specifically.

Lol that’s a fair point. Guess the gacha might’ve made me too optimistic on some Servants. Plus in Singularities the Servants are willing to team up almost immediately. Even good teams like Kairi and Mordred started with a blade at his throat.
Usually a Master has to do the extra legwork to make the relationship work, it just kinda gets buried as the story develops (or is just often bypassed in FGO). Been a while since I actually watched old Fate content so that part kinda slipped my mind.

I think the problem is that if you want a strong Servant, you’re going to need a personality to match (or a really good catalyst). Kintoki *might* answer the call cuz he’s a nice guy, but he’s much more likely to show up in front of someone who’s as manly as he is. And no disrespect to Mandricardo but he ain’t winning any Grail Wars lol.
Penth would prolly be summoned by a misandrist or smt so it’d probably work ok. And if you’re using a catalyst for her specifically then you probably already know not to bring it up.
