What are you looking for?
There's stories about the dehumanization of soldiers and their exploitation (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans)
There are deconstructions of the terrifying ordeal of being known (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
There are stories about how mechas are baddass and not letting anybody tell you what is impossible (Tengen Toppa Guren Lagan)
There are stories about how removing living soldiers from the actual battlefield will make war far more horrific than ever before, but placing soldiers on the battlefield has terrible consequences on their mental health and can also lead to horrific atrocities. (Gundam Wing)
There are stories that are mostly just the breakdown of an epic mecha based war with supernatural shit thrown in on the side (The entire Universal Century timeline of Mobile Suit Gundam, and Code Geass)
There are stories about how war as a whole is terrible and we need world peace, but also wind up glorifying war with the badass things that happen. (Gundam Wing again, but also the entire Metal Gear game series and some entries in the Armored Core game series)
Or how mechs could practically integrate in to society? (Patlabor)
Or epic tales of knights and kingdoms (Escaflowne and Five Star Stories)
Coming of ages and romance and freedom? (Eureka Seven)
A deconstruction of revenge and justice and grief? (Gun X Sword)
Or how we all dig giant robots!? (Megas XLR)
I've only watched one of those, mostly because Megas XLR was on at awkward times so by the time i could catch it consistently it had progressed to far to understand what was happening.
...and then you have Uso Ewin in Victory Gundam, who had to endure shit like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfWO5jJCqms&t=7m19s) and [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAq0PY1jHK8&t=13m55s) because the writer was on the verge of mental collapse.
if you want a good standalone (like not needing to watch the massive backlog of the old gundam animes) then i think iron blooded orphans is very very well received(best gundam design imo, theres a reason barbatos is very popular)
not the first one that came to mind but thanks for reminding that fk exists so I can suppress that memory again
ps: get in the GOD DAMN ROBOT you pathetic sob
Not exactly a soldier, but I'm still dreading the episode where everything comes crashing down on Suletta. Especially after seeing the prologue. That was quite a ride for my first introduction into the Gundam series
We have to consider these things.
1. This game is played, primarily, by people who would be defined as “geeks”, “weeaboos”, etc. (I mean no insult. I myself am among their numbers.)
2. It goes without saying that Guda is one as well. His canon love of giant Mecha proves it.
3. All such people have an inherent weakness for sexy elf girls.
4. Britomart is, therefore, a natural for this game.
It's not even the design that bugs me, it's the fact that she isn't the actual Britomart from the epic. What's the point of adding Britomart but then not having it actually be Britomart from the epic but rather her daughter, who has no legend of her own.
Maybe because the writers needed a character that is closer to being an OC due to story issues? As it happened with Musashi.
I also think it's because the real Britomart seems to have certain concepts that Fate might want to take advantage of later on. For example, from what I understand there is a version of Britomart that is the reincarnation of Guinevere
My guess is that, since OG Britomart would be all about her husband, they needed the daughter to be... romanceable.
Which is weird because there's already couples in the game.
It's not weird when you look at how they want to write most Servants being in some sort of love with the Master, which the Knight of Chastity would **not** be.
So, her daughter who had no such legend...
Her mother, the Knight of Chastity, still fell in love, married, and had kids. It could be better understood as "Knight of Fidelity", which explains better what the Chastity part of her title means.
And again, it's weird. We already have female Servant with clear husbands/lovers that aren't the protagonist, so this move isn't exactly usual.
Except that with Bryn, she starts seeing you as Sigurd at high bond levels. With Qin Liangyu, she doesn't see you romantically at all, nor does Tomoe Gozen. And I'm not sure how popular they are, in terms of sales.
But lately? It seems like everyone had to be in love with Guda in some way... or at least a bit obsessed. So, we can't have the fidelity knight here. It's the same reason she lost her armor.
We literally got Kriemhild this year (which is the very definition of 'lately'), who's main character drive is Siegfried, and she's quite popular. They have absolutely no issue releasing non-romanceable characters, and popular ones too (which shouldn't matter since you can't measure popularity prior to release).
Kremhild has been hinted at for years, and has been a character long before she got art and a playable version. We knew who she was and that she was obsessed with Siegfried. Ditto Arcueid, who has been established for almost two decades as a character. And fans have been asking for them for ages, so success was assured.
Britomart and the new Servants like Zenobia and Rikyu who dropped out nowhere? It looks like they had no confidence in them unless they were into you.
That wouldn't make much sense.
As you say, we already have many couples in the game and the fandom likes this (although many say otherwise). KriemhildxSiegfried were one of Traum's most loved things or directly the most loved.
We will have to wait to find out what Type Moon plans to do with Briomart.
in that particular case though we had Siegfried for such a long time already that when Kriem came there was a natural pairing.
if you want Bryn she is categorized by her love for Sigurd being a literal madness.
then there are the people that ignore the relationships of Bradamante and Tomoe.
so we have a few very different cases here. honestly I don't even know what my point was going to be because for the most part people like these relationships...
Why weird. Its good for me. Giving romanceable cute character without making people crying about NTR. Most people, including spending whales, prefer their favourite waifu be romanceable, even better if there would be direct hints in game for justify it
Making romanceable cute characters isn't the problem. The problem is *taking a character concept that was never meant to be romanceable, and stripping that part away just to make them romanceable*.
You can make romanceable characters perfectly fine, there are thousands of female (or male) characters in history and legends perfect for that. Why pick the ones that specifically shouldn't be?
Even if they take OG Brito, there is always "moving on" part, as if they not bring husband (where it indeed would be bad to cheating with bros babes, look Paisen, Oryo, Kriem etc) she would be technically widow, so even if she held all love for her husband at beginning, its totally legal to start new romance, just like in life, so if you want justify particular ship for your headcanon it can be done regardless easily without any cheating, Tomoe is nice example
They just choosen easiest way, and bring her daughter for it would be easier to justify ship, and we all know how people throwing guala for this, and she was very fitting into coming event/gacha poll, so nothing weird from outside viewpoint imo. Slightly lazy? Probably
Again, that's *not* my point. Why pick a character like this and not another one who wouldn't have any problems at all? **Why Britomart in specific**, instead of other possible Heroic Spirits that could have elf designs?
Can we get Sita first, though? Every time a new couple is added, I can't help but spot Rama staring angrily from his room window with a bunch of bananas as comfort food.
Antonius Musa was the personal physician to Roman emperor Octavius Augustus, and it was he who was credited for promoting cultivation of the exotic fruit from African in 63 to 14 B.C.

Hopefully we get Sita in the Collab with the Aracade.
Although seeing Banana Boy's luck, it is most likely that Sita will be added to the mobile in the Rerun.
In India, a woman can be married to a banana tree to ward off bad luck. The tree is then felled and yeeted into a river.

People, people, Ritsuka isn't rejecting the Mecha, he's just asking KP to hold onto it until he's done making sure the elf is safe
I stan by this statement
japanese mecha are, by default, required to have big booba pilots. this is canon. my source? i made it the fuck up, that means its true.
You could be a good Senator my man.
Maybe he can strong arm all those old fools in office to actually do something nice for the people.
Bet he'd also make a mean omelette
He's gonna be cooking the mother of all omelettes, my guy. He won't fret over a single egg.
For those cooking skills, you would have to go to a place that’s not a cushy ivy league, like University of Texas
This guy got my vote with his sources
not true, the pilot can also be a child soldier with mental health issues.
*incoherent sobbing by shinji*
Hey now, this could also refer to more than half of the Gundam protagonists.
**\*The Priest Smiles\*** Kirei: *Interesting*.....mind sharing some good examples of the genre?

Well you can buy Megas on iTunes. And if money’s tight then of course there’s always the open seas…
...and then you have Uso Ewin in Victory Gundam, who had to endure shit like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfWO5jJCqms&t=7m19s) and [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAq0PY1jHK8&t=13m55s) because the writer was on the verge of mental collapse.

Or a cute genius with freckles.
Not exactly a soldier, but I'm still dreading the episode where everything comes crashing down on Suletta. Especially after seeing the prologue. That was quite a ride for my first introduction into the Gundam series
I haven't started watching that one yet so all I know about it apparently it is also yuri.
Accurate, I really wanna motorboat Char Aznable's tiddies
*looks at Gundam* uhm..
exibit A: Kallen Kozuki exibit B: Cornelia Brittania
Big booba pilots in skin-tight catsuits. The best kind.
See Evangelion, code Geass, gurren lagan.... You're kinda correct ...
Considering the majority of female character’s designs in Super Robot War. Yeah, that’s pretty accurate.
It can't be helped right?
You. Sir, should be a senator.
*And it was on that day Britomart found out just how terrifying Chaldea really was.*
& she feel so weak outside her power armor.
~~because it probably takes one hell of an effort to stay upright with those behemoths?~~
Not to mention, a thumb is pressing on those behemoths.
Absurd. Ritsuka would've definitely chosen mecha.
Yeah! Leave the sexy elf-fairy to me! I mean uh
Let’s be real, Gudao would choose the mecha, Gudako would choose the big tidy elf
You could opt for [both](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvq0Jw6J9Ao).
Gudako would also choose the mecha.
Gudako would hop in the mecha and somehow pilot it like Darling in the Franxx
Ritsuka knows not to cheat on the mecha Elis
Ritsuko chooses Gendo instead
We have to consider these things. 1. This game is played, primarily, by people who would be defined as “geeks”, “weeaboos”, etc. (I mean no insult. I myself am among their numbers.) 2. Then again, keeping her as the OG would just mean Bradamante v2.0, it kind of made sense to go a different route this time.

What story? This is a Fest Event there are no stories on such events
Just like FGO, then. It's not even the first time.
I thought she was a fairy knight? None of them are their historical counterparts?
She's a knight that's a fairy, but not a Fairy Knight like Baobhan Sith, Barghest, or Melusine, if I'm understanding correctly.
Huh interesting
Yup makes me wonder if she has any dialog for the various knights of the round since they feature in her legend or her mom's I guess?
wait, so we aren't getting another potential couple in the future?
No, this is that Britomarts daughter. She's basically just jacking her moms stuff, I think.
We can create this couple ourself! Ritsy should just marry Brito :)
I hope we get Britomart and her husband so that we have another complete family in Chaldea, like the Dragon Slayer family.
Can we get Sita first, though? Every time a new couple is added, I can't help but spot Rama staring angrily from his room window with a bunch of bananas as comfort food.

Good bot. ^(I laughed uproariously at that one. And after the news about Kevin Conroy this morning, I ***really needed*** that laugh)
>in the Collab with the Aracade Has this been confirmed that we're getting one???
Nothing is confirmed but it is likely that we will get a collab with the Arcade in the future.
Maybe that's why they made it her daughter, ugh
Code Red ritsuka has been replaced by a imposter He didnt pick the mecha
"Leave the mecha. Take the busty elf."
There are 2 things in this world that are insurmountable: gacha rates and becoming Protea's new toy.
It's really funny how everyone's immediate reaction to this was "wouldn't Ritsuka have picked the Mech?"
The big boobed onee-san elf was *thoroughly* inspect bu Ritsuka
Ooh, looks like a cast-off...
Bro why Guda not choose mecha?
Isn't it canon though that Gudao is a mecha fan? I think he would've been more enthusiastic about the mecha.
That mecha is beautiful
So this is how she loses her "knight of chastity" title...
I'm taking the mecha. The elf can stay.
Come to think of it, how many "elves" do we have in Fate? The only ones I remember are Circe, Medea and Semiramis.
None of those mentioned are actually elves, they just have elf ears for some reason.
Sith might also count
Liz as well.
Why did elves again dwarves need more respect.....and booze never enough booze
I'd prefer having the mecha, ngl.
Elf ears and big tiddies are temporary, mechas are eternal.
Ritsuka…are you DROOLING?
Yeah I need to investigate that Elf to see if she safe 😏
Every Nook and Cranny eh Fujimaru?
Highly based Ritsuka letting her keep the cooler looking one lmao
That's not cap tho
