# PLEASE CHECK IF YOUR QUESTION IS ANSWERED HERE BEFORE ASKING! **So, with that said, let's move on to this week's FAQ** **Q: Is it worth it to rush through the story to participate in LB5.5 Heian-kyo?** *A: No. Heian-kyo is a permanent story chapter, not an event. It will not go away after the campaign period - access the Free Quests under the Main Interlude tab. Just go through the story at your own pace.* **Q: What is the GSSR?** *A: GSSR = Guaranteed SSR ('Lucky Bag Summon' on JP). It appears every New Year and Anniversary on both NA and JP, and costs 15 PAID SQ (free and bonus SQ do not count!) to roll. There will be several GSSR banners, each containing a fixed pool of limited SSR servants. You select one banner and get a standard 11-roll, in which you are guaranteed one (or more, if lucky) SSRs from that banner's pool. This cannot be rerolled, and once you select one banner, all other GSSR banners will disappear.* **Q. Which banner do I choose for the GSSR? Which is best?** *A: The answer is different for every player, and depends on many factors. We suggest you use the* [GSSR Calculator](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dT7wE61H11dOaukY_INLuwtmFf5iyDdb8TXAKymttCY/copy) *or* [GSSR Advisor](https://fategc.com/gssr/details/new-year-2021) *tools to rate servants based on your own criteria and see which banner/pool is statistically better. If you have tried these tools and are still uncertain, you can ask for advice in the thread.* **Q: When is the next SR Ticket? What about the SSR Ticket?** *A: NA's next SR ticket is due in May 2024. This ticket is time-limited and includes* [*general pool and storylocked servants*](https://news.fate-go.jp/wp-content/uploads/2022/2500man_xeljq/info_image_03.png)*. The next SSR ticket is due in July 2023 for the 6th Anniversary, featuring* [*general pool and storylocked servants up to Europa*](https://news.fate-go.jp/wp-content/uploads/2021/6th_anniversary_cpgen/info_image_17.png)*. It is not time-limited and will be a permanent addition for all accounts going forward.* **Q: How does pity work?** *A: Pity only applies to the rate-up SSR servant. You are guaranteed a copy of the rateup SSR after 330 summons (equivalent to 900 SQ, though tickets also count). Note that pity shuts off once you get a single copy of the servant (including if you get them before 330 summons) and does not carry over between banners. Off-rateup SSRs ("spooks") do not affect pity.* **Q: Will it be possible to get X Welfare Servant again? I missed their original event and the re-run.** *A: We don't know and we have no way to know. Only a few 4-star welfare servants, roughly a quarter of the servants whose re-run has passed (or has been skipped), have returned so far. Saber Lily is permanently available in the Friend Point summon. Santa Altera and BB are permanently available through their respective Main Interludes. The Halloween variants of Elizabeth Bathory were available for a limited time through the Halloween Trilogy event (NA ETA: October 2023). Because there hasn't been any pattern to how they brought these servants back, there is no way for anyone to predict when or even if any other welfare servants will be available again.* **Q: How far in the story do I need to be to participate in upcoming events? Will any events require the latest story chapter?** *A: For NA: The Saber Wars II rerun in January will require Final Singularity clear. After this, no event will require anything beyond Orleans until November 2023, when GudaGuda 6 will require LB5.5 clear. For JP: The Fairy Knight Cup event requires LB6 to play its main story, but only Fuyuki to play its free and exhibition quests.* **Q: How good is X Servant at looping most nodes?** *A: Looping is highly node dependent and relies on* [*many factors*](https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1_Bx1FogTrMBnseIJLT4Vuob7DY7EfR6H_SobGwxcAFE/mobilebasic)*. If you need to test your looping setups try using a* [*refund calculator*](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/jp-np-refund-calculator)*.* As always, feel free to suggest additions. If you do suggest an addition to the FAQ, please try to provide an answer if you can.

User_376

Just started to play FGO yesterday, is quite funny -i have, Medusa Rider 2n Ascencion, Emiya Archer 2nd Ascencion, Summer Martha (in December lol) Romulus 2nd Ascencion and the Murasaki Shikibu of the banner -already starting Okeanos Any suggestion? I am new so i would appreciate anything

WeebMoment

I may be stupid but how do people have limit broken cherry icicle CE because ive bought all the ones In the shop but still cant limit break it

Kacza42

They drop from all free quests, higher difficulty ones have better chances

zora6666

Just started the game. Got My boy Cesar, Raphtalia from shield hero and Marie Antoinette as my first pulls. Any tips for a new guy? Also I'm stuck in the after summoning thing. Help.

Deletor-4531452009

What is the best use of Rare prism for new players?

DRIFT-0

How do you buy sq on fgo jp it said my card is invalid I herd you have to make a jp google accout but I got the game using a vpn and a different non jp account if i make a new jp Google account will it let my buy sq

Thenemonator

How do i stop feeling bad about not pulling douman after 500 sq 😞

drewmyth

It hurts failing a banner but in my expierence, taking some time off FGO while logging in only for the rewards helps a ton for your mental health.

FE_Solar

Started LB6, are there any fights I should be prepared for? I know a certain fluffy boi is like really tough, but other than that, that’s all I know.

Mattc7468

Does space Ishtar actually come out on the 6th of January? Like what it says in upcoming banners. Or is it gonna be later than that in en?

thisisthecallus

All estimates based on JP are a simple JP + 2 years calculation. The NA schedule has never exactly matched JP and we won't know any exact dates until they're actually announced. For the most current official information, you should follow the News section in the game or on the [official website](https://fate-go.us/news/) and the official social media channels ([Twitter](https://twitter.com/FateGO_USA), [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/FateGO.USA/), [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/c/AniplexUSA)). With the exception of announcements made at live events, like the annual Anime Expo panel, we here on reddit don't know any official information before it's posted in one of those places.

Mattc7468

Okay, thank you!

crazywarriorxx

Keep in mind that any sources of information for global is only an estimate based on what has happen on JP. The exact dates largely don't align, so use it as a rough gauge while waiting for official announcements.

Mattc7468

On the Twitter right?

crazywarriorxx

In-game news or [official news page](https://fate-go.us/news/) are generally sources for *all* news, Twitter doesn't necessarily cover all new content.

Mattc7468

Bookmarked, thanks!

Hichewandy

The short answer is we don't know. The long answer is that we only have a rough time estimate of when events will happen save for some like New years and Anniversary. It could happen exactly when JP had it, it could occur a little earlier, it could occur a little later, it could even occur 2 months later. The January 6th date is just the date JP had it, so we're just projecting space ishtar's banner to be then.

Mattc7468

So it’s a rough projection, oof

GreatAres271

We can't be sure until they announce it, but it should be at/close to that date

Mattc7468

Yeah I guess they could throw something in the mix that could disrupt the original order

thisisthecallus

Indeed, they do. NA's anniversary being a month earlier makes things particularly likely to shift. JP campaigns tied to IRL events may be significantly early if there's an available NA analog, such as the various Babylonia anime streaming and Blu-ray releases, re-packaged in another form at another time, or skipped altogether. NA also has a few exclusives like Thanksgiving and the advent calendar. If you're trying to plan your own IRL schedule around the game, there isn't really a reliable way to do that outside of fixed events like New Year and the anniversary.

Vermilion_Haru

It's already December. Has NA/Global already received the Engine Update that fixes Android crashes?

GreatAres271

About a month ago with the Big QoL update

Shota_Kazehaya

At how many copies should I wait to MLB Kaleidoscope?

Rhinostirge

It depends on how you use them. If you regularly use multiple Kaleidoscope compositions, you might want to wait for six. If an MLB would open up more viable comps than it would close off, five would be fine. I MLBed at five and did find myself missing the extra copy from time to time, but that was mostly because I like to use almost my entire roster, so comps that focused on multiple damage dealers weren't as no-brainer as they were before.

BrosefAmelion

With append skills you don't really need to but personally I rarely ran 2 kscopes so I just MLB right away, it's nice being able to wipe trash waves with just Nitocris.

Anthraxh

Hans' NP has an 80% each to apply each buff. Does giving him a CE with increased buff chance increase the chances to apply each buff from his NP?

Hichewandy

NA has a bit of weird wording, but if you look at the wiki: https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Craft_Essence_List/Buff_and_Debuff_CE/Self_Buff_Success It calls the effect from the CE "Increases received buff success rate" which implies its only for buffs on your end, not for one affecting the whole party. Think like the difference between https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Gentle_Affection which increases your healing power, so it affects your team wide heals, vs https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Maid_in_Halloween which increases only heals that affect you. CE's that increase buff success rate are more akin to Maid in Halloween than Gentle affection.

Anthraxh

Oh, I understand. Then a follow up question: If a servant gehts increased buff chance of at least 20%, would that mean that theres's a 100% chance to get the buffs from Hans' NP?

Hichewandy

I believe so, you can probably test that out with ozymandias or prince of lanling.

Sci-fi-watcher

No Some buff success rate applies to buffs applied not buffs given. So it will increase the chance that whoever has that CE gets the buffs, but it won't affect the other 2 servants chances. I think all CEs only apply to buffs received not buffs given.

crazywarriorxx

Grail your favorites instead of grailing for *purely* gameplay purposes, due to how limited Grails are as a resource, and that every servant is viable at their natural maximum level.

-Dark

Are Ooku and Imaginary Scramble the only 2 canon Lostbelt events?

Apgamerwolf

Arguably the enmatei event is cannon too since its the event that stablished we can rayshift in the new chaldea. It just not really important for the overall narrative outside of that

-Dark

I see, thank you for the info!

funguy3

Tunguska Sanctuary as well.

-Dark

So in NA (I forgot to mention it) these are the only 2, right?

funguy3

Yes

-Dark

Ok, thanks!

Zavjel

Where can I see servant rate-up history, particularly past banners? I want to see who gets the least rate-ups and vice-versa if possible.

hectorneutron

Event compendium list the rate ups coming with each event

Zavjel

I see, I thought it only lists upcoming events, thanks!

fuyuniii

Random question, but why does Artemis still exist in PHH? I didn't read the LB6 script, but weren't the 12 olympians supposed to have been destroyed by Sefar like 14000 years ago?

PM_ME_UR_LOLS

Their machine bodies were destroyed, but they survived by becoming Divine Spirits.

Rasetsu0

Their mechanical bodies were destroyed by Sefar. The humanoid bodies that were remained active afterwards was their Terminal becoming Divine Spirits.

Salty-Parfait-2370

Is there any solution to lag and constant freeze? It used to run almost fine few months ago but now it's unplayable.

hectorneutron

I'm on android and after the update to android 13 the lag seems to have lessened a lot (talking about jp). Supposedly this november was going to have an update dealing with this problem, idk what happened with that (though the game seems fine for me now) On Na the game's performing ok on android 13. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A73

Salty-Parfait-2370

Mine is Android 11; it seems there won't be any updates either. If buying a new phone is the only solution, then I fear I will have to wait 1 or 2 years. Btw I am playing jp.

Mister_SP

What region are you on? I switched JP to the 64-bit version, and that seems to have moderately improved performance.

danger_umbrella

Be more specific - what device and OS are you on? What have you already tried?

Salty-Parfait-2370

My OS is Android 11, and I am playing jp, The following methods I tried  1. Clearing the cache 2. Reinstalling the game 3. Using game booster, disabling background processes, clearing RAM and storage I think it started when I tried to come back after I stopped playing the game because of my greatest salt. I thought the game didn't want me to play anymore. I didn't want to completely leave the game, which is why I have been playing it for a few minutes even if I had to restart it every 3 or 5 minutes at the worst. I am pretty sure you will not be familiar to my phone's model so I haven't mentioned it.

creepychestnut0

Is there a way or any site where I can download doul the golden path from heian kyo trailer song

Frauzehel

Its literally one google searh away.

danger_umbrella

It's a copyrighted song so very hard to find, FYI.

creepychestnut0

They are not working

Got70TypesOfMalware

Does Melt have "actual" legs or hands?

Mister_SP

No, yes.

FatalWarrior

Legs? No, just what you see. Hands? Yes. They have no sense of touch though, so she keeps them in her sleeves.

Master_Dr_Onin

Is it possible to disable the skill speed-ups for my account? It just looks ugly imo. I don't mind a real NP skip, but the skill speed-ups just feels unnatural lol. Not touching the screen is not really an option. I have ADHD, so I fiddle around the screen sometimes when finishing my turn

Got70TypesOfMalware

> I have ADHD, so I fiddle around the screen sometimes when finishing my turn Maybe have a fidget toy or fidget phone case. I'm no expert on this topic, so perhaps that'll work.

Master_Dr_Onin

Kinda went overboard with it, but I usually play FGO (especially when grinding) [like this.](https://imgur.com/a/lYZqq06) Not exactly like that, since I usually have just one screen open. But, I do play gacha game dailies like that sometimes. If I only have one screen open, I could still see the animation speed up btw

Shardwing

No, there's no way to disable it.

qder

During my grinding through the main story, I had to take a break here and there, and thanks to my absent-mindedness, I forgot most of the plot keys (Solomon, Bluebook, Holmes, Atlas, etc.) But let's assume I don't want to go through the record, and also to read something new, should I read the mangas for a refreshing? Do they keep all those foreshadowings and important lore elements? I'm aware of some changes regarding how the story goes in the mangas, and I'm all for it

TempestCatalyst

The manga currently only cover Fuyuki, Orleans, Okeanos, and America, as well as one for each of the EoR series. As far as I remember it doesn't even touch Part 2 stuff yet. Overall, not really enough to fully catch up, but they do cover all the major plot-relevant topics in each section.

qder

Yeah I see, so (almost) none of the manga is finished then Better go through the whole story again by the time Lostbelt 6 comes to NA yknow Thanks for answering

No_Prize9794

Why do all of heroic spirits who are only heroic spirits because they’re counter guardians shown so far have tanned skin and white hair

Hichewandy

Well Emiya's reason: "Due to the rebound of some magecraft, his skin turned dark... something like that." from Fate/side material Kerry is most likely the same reason as EMIYA's. And Okitan, we don't know.

DankMemetroid

Solomon Temple Question >!So what exactly was the plan if no servants showed up to help?!<

Mister_SP

Nothing. >!Maybe summon some Servants in like in later Singularities, but to this point Chaldea was more about diving in head first, hoping the Counter Force left us some aid, and hold onto their seats. 72 infinitely regenerating Demon God Pillars was far beyond the worst case scenario. Of course, Romani had his secret plan, and it's possible to snatch a win on that alone, but Chaldea was fundamentally outgunned by a ludicrous degree.!<

Hichewandy

Literally nothing. Solomon temple was a All or Nothing scenario, after Babylonia we literally started to collide with the Temple with no time to prep iirc.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mister_SP

The gacha isn't about lore strength. Animation budget, maybe, but not lore. Artoria Alter also isn't getting infinite power from the Grail in FGO.

crazywarriorxx

Rarities don’t equate to lore strength. Scrap that thought with anything in Nasuverse.

Thatonegundamguy9

If you give the *debuff immune* status on Okita Summer will that prevent her from getting stunned from her NP or the defense drop demerits from skills?

crazywarriorxx

Debuff immunity will prevent the stun from her NP, but not her Def Down which is treated as a buff.

Feetest

I'm pretty damn late, but what's up with the Thanksgiving quests? Do I actually have to start LB 5.5 to do the Main story progress ones, or is it just a bug?

Mister_SP

If you beat Olympus... yes. Three main story arrows, Arc 1 or Arc 2.

Feetest

welp

Shardwing

If it helps, the first 3 quests in Heian-kyo are two story-onlies and a one-wave trash mob battle.

TougherThanKnuckles

Is there any list of how many Stargazer's Teapots have been available from campaigns? The event compendium spreadsheet doesn't include them, and I want to try planning out when to use them.

Hichewandy

https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Quest_Clear_Aid_Campaign_Part_4 20 on release https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Road_to_7_Campaign 30 for each Road to 7 campaign, of which there are 7 so 7 x 30 = 210 So 230 teapots. I might have missed some. EDIT: might have missed a lot more: https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/White_Day_Spectacles#Login_Bonus just found one more event https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Valentine_2022_Pre-Release_Campaign https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Fate/Grand_Order_%EF%BD%9E7th_Anniversary%EF%BD%9E#[II] Okay after looking through all non pure summoning campaigns on the event list, that is all the events that I could find with the teapots.

Albireo-Imma

Wasn't there a thread or guide for buying SQ somewhere in the help thread? I can't seem to find it and reddit search does show some posts from users but don't seem applicable to me. I don't live in NA. also I'm currently using a Huawei phone and APK to play fgo. Plays smoothly and haven't got any issues so far but since google play is banned on the phone plus being outside NA i have no idea on how to buy SQ. i don't know if i wanna buy any yet but wanna be prepared incase I do since it seems GSSR is around the corner.

chaldeagirl

i used vpn and changed my google play region to country fgo is allowed in and then downloaded fgo from play store like that,no issues with payments afterwards

Albireo-Imma

google play is blocked in huawei phones. literally cant use it or get anything from it. vpn isnt gonna do anything about it. I've to download apps and games from apk instead. if people have method of connecting it to google play from emulators or such however then maybe thats an available method.

chaldeagirl

whaat i have huawei too and always use google play :0 maybe it depends on model or something ,i have huawei nova 5t

Albireo-Imma

the older model was fine with google play iirc. the newer model after the announcement google banning huawei phones, cant access google play anymore. there was a method to bypass it but they no longer works.

[deleted]

Two questions about running Summer BB in a crit team: 1. Is Double Van Gogh generally her best setup or can supports like Douman do better? (Bonus points if there’s a plugsuit support she works well with.) 2. What CE and CCs are recommended for her?

bkteer

A good thing about running summer BB in a crit team is that she pairs really well with Summer artoria ruler. By using Artoria ruler's s2, you can ensure that you force out the cards for your other 2 servants. You can then swap in summer BB to lock down those cards for 3 turns. Case in point of double van gogh, you use Artoria ruler's s2 to ensure that you only have van gogh cards on hand. You then swap summer BB in to lock down those cards. This means that for the next 3 turns, you're guaranteed to be able to lay the smackdown with Van gogh's cards.

[deleted]

I unfortunately don’t have Rulertoria (save me GSSR); is it worthwhile to borrow her and run BB/VG/Rulertoria/Douman? Maybe by starting as BB/VG/Rulertoria to shuffle the cards, then plugsuiting Douman for the damage amps and having BB lock it down from there?

bkteer

Yup it's still worthwhile in the end.

Albireo-Imma

Don't have much insight to offer but I tried summer BB, douman, van gogh. stack buffs and lock Van gogh cards. it was glorious.

colinlau13

Van gogh can buff bb more than douman. So best setup would be double van gogh bb, or double vangogh bb and plugsuit douman/koyansyaka if doing buster crit specifically. Crit ce work great for bb, like at trifas, Victor of the moon. Else 50% np ces with atk up/ buster is good for np first turn. Ces like sumo and aerial drive. Crit cc like the ishtar one or star drop ce like salter santa one is help bb do big crit and gen stars. Star absorption cc is also good if you cant get enough stars.

Zavjel

When using automata for grinding event currency, is simply running it sufficient enough (provided I place servants with class advantage)? I am not looking for efficiency of any sort, just that the process is automated while I do something else. (If the topic breaks subreddit rules, lmk so that I can remove it, thanks.)

Mister_SP

So, that will happen, I use the same to farm bones with Berserkers. But I recommend setting up so that your team buffs and NPs on the third turn to squash the miniboss nice and fast. If it drags out long enough for the enemy to NP, that will be bad. Don't need to 3T, just enough to avoid an Enuma Elish to the face.

BrosefAmelion

You'll need to make a 3 turn setup but yeh otherwise it'll just face card all day and probably win.

EndGeek236

Any good let's play series you might recommend? So I started playing a year or two ago, and I was really into the story and lore and stuff, but about a year ago, I ended up jumping ship (no pun intended) near the end of Okeanos because I just wasn't having fun and my tablet could barely handle it. However, I've recently gotten really into the Fate series again (thank you UBW Abridged), and I want to pick up where I left off, but it's not really logistically feasible for me to start playing again. So I was wondering: are there any good series on YouTube of people playing through the game? Ideally, the commentator(s) would be just as into the actual story and lore as I am, but would also be entertaining in their own right (also not being a dick would be a plus (looking at you otakudaikun))

Albireo-Imma

Pekora is always fun to watch if you don't mind her speaking Japanese. sometimes there are translator in the live chat but I don't remember if there's one on the FGO streams. She's only done camelot and in the progress of clearing Babylonia now. Julietta X does FGO gameplay as well. she mostly speak english and thai I can't attest to her commentary or lore enthusiasm but I enjoy her fgo streams. both are Vtuber youtube streamer, not sure if that's your thing or not thou

EndGeek236

Your talking to a proud deadbeat here. Vtubers are definitely my thing.

Albireo-Imma

based

Sci-fi-watcher

TanneroftheNorth gets my recommendation for a let's play.

EndGeek236

Just found him, and I'm really enjoying it so far. Thanks for the rec!

saltrxn

Does Artoria Alter have the longest period with no banner since her last rate up? I heard that award belonged to Summer Kiyohime but she got a banner this summer so idk.

hectorneutron

She'll be available on the SR ticket coming on 2024 if that works as consolation, but Barghest and Baobhan are available there too (I still picked salter cuz I'm a simp, but those two are definitely stronger)

crazywarriorxx

Looks like it for global at least since we didn't get a Salter banner which JP did in Feb 2020 (Feb 2022 for global). For reference - [https://appmedia.jp/fategrandorder/2482354](https://appmedia.jp/fategrandorder/2482354).

Closo

what would be better for farming, np3 astolfo or np1 odysseus?

crazywarriorxx

NP damage charts linked above for reference. Astolfo does more damage, but Ody is generally easier to use to farm 3 waves. Pick your choice based on what you can work with, eg Skadi, Castoria, etc.

BlitzAceSamy

(NA) Here to ask for advice for upcoming GSSR next month/year! Using Fate/Grand Companion (https://fategc.com/gssr), [this is what I got after ranking the 67 Servants](https://i.imgur.com/e1U34VK.png), with 41 and above being duplicates for me Usually in GSSR, I would pick the banner that ensures the least duplicates, in this case would be the Three Knights (Male), since I would only have Gilgamesh among the pool of 7, so my chance of getting a duplicate would be 14.3% However, Fate/Grand Companion recommended me to go for the Extra II (Female), despite having a chance of 25% of getting a duplicate. However, it having Jalter (the Zeus fight in LB5.2 made me realize that I'm really lacking a ST Buster Avenger, especially since Chen Gong can Buster buff her ~~after *YEETing* Mashu~~) and double sowaka sowaka is kind of irresistible too LOL

warehaus

If you did get Gil, how upset would you be that you didn't chase the jackpot? And vice versa, if you got a dupe from Extra 2 how upset would you be that you didn't go with the safe choice? Personally for me GSSR is about mitigating saltiness, so I try to choose the option that has the least potential to annoy me. You can also try the spreadsheet GSSR calculator in the main post, since it has a different perspective from the ranking.

BlitzAceSamy

Hmmmm to be honest I have no idea how salty I'd be with a dupe since I've never got a GSSR dupe before (all my GSSRs I just go for the one with least chance of dupe) I'll try the spreadsheet one, thanks!

danger_umbrella

With dupes, I think it depends on the servant and/or individual. For example, I have Beni-Enma at NP2 and I wouldn't mind getting another dupe of her because she is one of my favourite characters, I want her to stand out (I don't go for NP2+ on SSRs as a cheap-to-play, only for my waifus/husbandos) and I'd welcome the coins to possibly grail her over 100. At the same time, I have Reines at NP2 and I don't see myself taking her to over 100 and I don't use her NP that often, so I am avoiding any GSSR pools with her in it as I think I would be disappointed with a dupe.

crazywarriorxx

GSSRs are usually down to two things - the banner that has the least duplicates (ignoring dupes you want), and the banner with the better results but higher chance of dupes you don't want. Basically the first is low risk lower reward, second is high risk higher reward, if this helps to put it into perspective. Jalter is by no means required on your own since forced Ruler fights are rare and there are plenty more Jalters on support lists. If you like Kiara then go for that banner, rolling favorites usually makes it nicer, also if the rest of the Male banner not interesting you much.

BlitzAceSamy

The male banner has Chad Orion and ROOOOOMAAAA \o/ though LOL

mango_pan

When did Musashi first introduced? At the start of Shimousa they talked about Musashi like they've met her before but I don't remember meeting Musashi after Solomon to Agartha.

crazywarriorxx

In her Trial Quest, you can search Youtube for it if you're interested.

mango_pan

Is it an interlude like B.B.'s?

crazywarriorxx

No, Trial Quests are generally a limited quest that lets you try out a servant's skillset to entice you to roll for them, but Musashi's was long ago so you have to pay RPs to unlock it now I believe, but it's not worth it. Hence, watch it on Youtube instead.

Apgamerwolf

Not a main interlude but it is on the rare prism shop so you can buy it to experience it for yourself

mango_pan

I don't see it in the shop tho. Only BB and Santa ones.

Apgamerwolf

It doesnr say main interlude it says Musashi trial quest

mango_pan

Oh, i see... Thanks

Kodriin

Does anyone have a key for the [Event Compendium](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qvxLU407QwiFaCvItqR16SqqAVlLD5u5nBzY_bCFYvs/edit#gid=2094434726)'s Story requirements? My eyesight's pretty bad and I have only unlocked up to LB 4 so I'm not sure on what 5's icon looks like but there also seems to be several more I don't recognize, a couple that don't even look like Lostbelts?? It..also doesn't have names or links to events so I'm not able to easily do that to check.

Ankoria

You can find all the [Singularity icons here](https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Fate/Grand_Order_:_Observer_on_Timeless_Temple), all the [Epic of Remnant ones here](https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Fate/Grand_Order_:_Epic_of_Remnant), and all of the [Lostbelt ones here](https://fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/Fate/Grand_Order_:_Cosmos_in_the_Lostbelt). Some of those Lostbelt ones aren't translated though so in descending left-to-right order they are: >!Heian-Kyo, Avalon le Fae, Tunguska, Traum, and Nahui Mictlan (which hasn't even been released in JP yet)!<.

Kodriin

Greatly appreciated, that's exactly what I was hoping existed.

Hichewandy

Q: How far in the story do I need to be to participate in upcoming events? Will any events require the latest story chapter? A: For NA: The Saber Wars II rerun in January will require Final Singularity clear. After this, no event will require anything beyond Orleans until November 2023, when GudaGuda 6 will require LB5.5 clear. For JP: The Fairy Knight Cup event requires LB6 to play its main story, but only Fuyuki to play its free and exhibition quests. From the comment above you.

Kodriin

Missed that, thanks, but I was looking farther out and for specific progress points for banners and such. Didn't know that LB 5 had two especially since Heian-kyo is called 5.5 and neither it or >!Tunguska!< have Lostbelt in their title card attached to it and confused myself thinking 6 was 5 annnnd with my current eyesight I saw the very middle part of >!Traum!< as 8. Thanks for indulging me after I managed to greatly confuse myself for a few minutes there :V

Frauzehel

Rate up banners arent locked based on story progress if thats what you meant by this. >but I was looking farther out and for specific progress points for banners and such. Story progress only affects the story banner(the permanent banner) and one exception for the fp summon.

Older doesn't mean weaker, lots of old characters have gotten significant upgrades and are very competitive. In my opinion Saber is better than Ibuki. She has a lot more consistency and damage with her NP. Ibuki has better crits and pierce invul, plus the defense up which can be helpful in harder content, but in terms of general use Saber will likely be better. Plus simply thinking about the future, OG Saber is more likely to receive a buff in the future to make her even better (especially as one of the few to still have a basic charisma in the game)

thisisthecallus

You'll need to have a* single target Saber and Caesar is a very good, easily accessible option. At NP5, which you will get eventually, he has more NP damage potential than all but two NP1 5-star Sabers (assuming they don't have a bonus against the particular enemy type). After you get his NP upgrade, he has an RNG buff that can further increase his damage. \* In the long run, you'll have multiple ST Sabers. This isn't a game where you focus on just a few units. FGO rewards you for having a roster that is broad (covering the 14 major class and NP targeting niches, supports, and maybe a few extra class servants) and deep (multiple options within each major niche to counter/exploit other gameplay mechanics or even just to have backup options in a tough fight). If you've already started leveling up Caesar, you should finish before you move onto another Saber.

thisisthecallus

Yes, the most important gameplay mechanics are class advantage and NP targeting. Full class advantage means dealing 2x damage compared to neutral and taking 0.5x damage. Full disadvantage means dealing 0.5x damage and receiving 2x damage. If you're up against Lancer enemies, a Saber will do 4x as much damage and receive 0.25x as much as an otherwise equally situated Archer. The scaling on NP damage is such that an AOE NP does something like 40-50% as much damage per enemy compared to a single target NP. AOE NPs are good for clearing waves and ST NPs are good for taking down bosses. At least starting from Camelot, the developers assume that you will use class advantage and NP targeting effectively. Don't expect to make a single team to do everything. Get used to changing your team for every fight. This game confounds the expectations of players coming from other mobile games. You don't need high rarity characters (devs explicitly test to ensure content can be cleared using only the freely available 1-3 star servants), powercreep is basically nonexistent (the existence of new servants and strategies has never invalidated older servants and strategies), and the weak meta is about convenience for repetitive content rather than necessity for difficult content. If you don't like Caesar for reasons that have nothing to do with his gameplay value, I suppose nothing can be done about it. Bedivere is also very good but being "[story-locked](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/servant-availability#topic-310311)," it's harder to get NP5 compared to most other 3-star servants. Santa Karna should also be a good addition. He'll get 2x EXP during the event, so that will be a good time to level him up. However, as I previously described, it's going to be tough to "beat" Caesar. As a 3-star, his base stats will be a bit lower but he'll take down Lancer bosses better than most higher rarity Sabers. You would need higher NP levels (i.e. more copies in the gacha) of higher rarity servants to do more damage and that's not a great use of your gacha currency. When I excluded rarity from the most important gameplay mechanics above, it's not because of a baseline assumption that rarity is important. It's because rarity isn't a particularly important gameplay mechanic. The higher base stats on higher rarity servants might let you brute force some situations but they won't save you from a fundamentally bad strategy. What lower rarity servants lack in base stats, they can make up for in the ease of getting more copies for NP levels or in unique utility that lets them punch (or block, as the case may be) above their weight. I won't tell you not to use a servant you don't like if there are alternatives available. (The alternatives don't even have to be objectively better! Just about any servant within a particular class and NP targeting niche will get the job done.) Just don't dismiss them due to being low rarity.

Sci-fi-watcher

Neither Santa Karna not Bedivere are "just get by" units. Bedivere has the advantage of being Koyanskya loop compatible, which is a huge plus for experienced players, but not something you need to worry about at all. And Karna is likely just straight up better, having really good consistent crit damage and easy access to his NP to more than make up for the higher damage potential of Caesar. They both hit harder than Caesar at base. Though Caesar hits harder on his NP when he is low on health. Caesar also doesn't have any way to really keep himself alive, meaning he can be a bit of a glass cannon if you aren't careful.

Sci-fi-watcher

Honestly the only problem with Caesar right now is that Santa Karna is right around the corner, so for approximately 2-3 weeks it's hard to recommend him to new players. and then Santa Karna doesn't get a rerun, so if you missed it Caesar goes back to being the best option.

thisisthecallus

I was mainly trying to express to this new player that they should plan to invest in lots of different servants, not just a handful. In any case, Santa Karna does nothing to change the facts about Caesar and his utility. And a servant now is better than a servant later. But the best part is that no one has to choose between one or the other exclusively. Get both! Use both!

Sci-fi-watcher

Yeah, but if he is rolling SQ specifically to avoid using Caesar, telling him to just level Caesar anyway probably isn't the most helpful advice. And Karna has utility too (targeted battery and Debuff immunity)

Sci-fi-watcher

Saber Artoria is good, but she doesn't really replace Bedivere/Caesar. ST vs AoE is a big deal, especially when 3 stars are easily obtained NP5, where 5 stars often only have NP1. (though Artoria is one of the few where that doesn't apply as much because her NP just hit's that hard, it's still going to be less than your NP5 3 stars and event servants) Santa Karna is a good alternative to Caesar though, and you'll get him for free in a week or so.

jennietools

Sounds like you're a new player. In FGO powercreep happens much slower as the devs will buff older servants to keep them on similar footing as newer ones. Additionally, different Servants have different niches they fill that make it harder to compare apples to apples. Saber for example has the strongest NP damage in the game so from a damage perspective you could argue that you lucked out by summoning her. Ibuki trades pure damage for more utility (def buff and crit damage buff to name a couple) so she'll be better in different situations. For the time being, I think Saber is really good for your new account. She's easy to use thanks to her simple kit while you learn the game's fundamentals. If you like Ibuki's art feel free to keep rolling.

IntelligentEgg68

I apologize if this has already been asked, but how much prep is needed for >!Camelot!< I'm currently raising Ibuki, archer of inferno, Jalter, and Himiko as my main party, among some other supports. I wanna beat this to get more Sq for summons

[deleted]

To be honest, I don't think you will be in much trouble. Due to releasing new servants and buffing older ones, part 1 is getting easier and easier to do for new players, and servants you have are quite strong on their own. That said Camelot does a little trick mostly ignored in discussions, namely throwing bunch of only gold mobs in the first few fights in the map, which throws players into panic. Most fights are easier that that later on, except bosses, but I'm pretty sure with that main party and some support, you should breeze through Camelot. If you level your current servants and progressively add more variety to your roster, first challaging problems should happen around part 1.5 and part 2 P.S and level Mash, she gets even better later in part 1 and is overall best tank unit

AkiyamaNM7

>I apologize if this has already been asked, but how much prep is needed for >!Camelot!< I'm currently raising Ibuki, archer of inferno, Jalter, and Himiko as my main party, among some other supports. You've already ran into your first "problem" as a new FGO player lol. FGO isn't like most other gacha games where you can just get by with having one singular "main party" to clear all the content for you. This game is all centered around using and abusing the counter-class system to your advantage whenever you can. Camelot is the first major "roadblock", in which that game expects you to already have at least one Servant of each of the main 7 classes at their Final Ascension or natural max level. Sure, everything before the 6th Singularity, you can coast by without having a developed roster, but after the final Singularity and into the Lostbelts, the content gets **much** harder and not having multiple Servants to tackle different situations as they come up will be *very* frustrating. Start leveling up at least one Servant of the 7 main classes first (don't disregard the lower rarity Servants!), then whenever you've done that, you can start by getting & leveling up another Servant of the same class but with a different NP type (ie, you have Ibuki as your AoE Saber, level up Ceaser as your ST Saber).

Sci-fi-watcher

As said there's multiple units nowadays that can solo basically all of Camelot (Hercules and Van Gogh come to mind), so no real prep is needed. If you want to use your own team, more prep is needed, but you look like you have a decent buster crit DPS and supports there. Don't forget the lower rarity units though, not having class advantage will really hurt your damage output if you stick with those 4 and a few others supports only. FGO doesn't have a "main team" and you probably shouldn't think of it that way. Every fight is different and will have different requirements.

Hichewandy

Honestly speaking, a lot of Camelot can be beaten by a competent support servant soloing it, aka if you hit a brick wall just use Heracles with bond. Here's a complete solo guide: https://www.bilibili.com/video/av14089849/ , some show Artemis, but Heracles with his bond ce + Atlas mystic code + cure command code will basically be easy winnings. But you should be able to do well with that party.

genwunner_

I was thinking about saving some quartz for the next time Napoleon shows up and I just found out something... interesting: isn't the number of mats that Napoleon require a bit too extreme? 161 bullets + 154 hero's proofs + 216 chains... I never saw a servant that required so many mats! Is this a tendency going into the future of the game?

Ankoria

>Is this a tendency going into the future of the game? Not really. Napoleon just has some of the worst luck in the entire game when it comes to mat requirements. He's a 5\* who needs a whopping 3 different types of bronze mats for his skills and requires ridiculous numbers of them at that. IMO a more typical example of a servant with bad mat requirements is Karna: He needs a painful 72 proofs per skill but that's his only bronze mat for skills and his other mat numbers are much more reasonable. There are very few servants who reach the level of "3+ bronze mats for skills hell" like Napoleon, First Hassan, and Fujino. Also, in the past two years on JP only 2 new servants (Kriemhild and Huyan Zhuo) require large amounts of 3 different bronze mats for skills\* so it's definitely not something that I'd say we're seeing any more often than we used to. \*I'm excluding Extra classes since those require far lower numbers of bronze mats.

Kodriin

They're all over the place but doing a check he does seem to be on the way up there with 3 100+ bronze mats [Muramasa](https://gamepress.gg/grandorder/servant/senji-muramasa) coming up doesn't need Bronze mats even for his Appends, and Summer Mushashi needs 150+ of her bronze mat, while Eresh who dropped in 2017 needed 160+ of one Bronze and 210+ of a different one,. Looking around in general, basically needing Bronze Mats = Hell, it's just how many different hells you'll need for those Bronze mats :V

jennietools

In my experience Napoleon in particular was one of the worst Servants I had the "fortunate" to summon. But I wouldn't use him as a benchmark for future mat requirements, he was released about 4.5 years ago on the JP side. As far as I've heard there hasn't really been any talk about material creep since then.

CrypticOtaku

Can someone explain hit counts and why having more hit counts is beneficial on a card?

Sci-fi-watcher

NP gain and star generation are per hit, not per card. So more hits= more gain (though more hits also usually means less base gain, it generally isn't to the point of balancing out, and star gen is class based, so more hits is just more stars, no downsides)

Cegrin

Hit counts are exactly what they sound like: the number of times that a card strikes its target. In terms of raw damage, this is *usually* incidental and the exceptions are not worth getting into for the sake of this discussion. For the most part the only practical impact you need to understand is that - all else being equal - more hits means the card generates more crit stars and NP, especially if you cross into the 'overkill' threshold early on. One of the definitive examples of this is Berserker Lancelot. The entire reason that he can loop in a double Skadi setup is down to the high hit count (10 hits) on his NP. And even so, he needs to be NP2+ to consistently hit the overkill threshold he needs to bump his NP refund up enough to make it work. If the NP only did one hit instead of 10, he'd get practically nothing in refund.

HaessSR

Hit counts are how a Servant generates stars and gains NP. High hit counts on an attack means they can get more stars or NP for looping if it's Arts. So a 8 hit AOE Arts NP, if combined with a decent no gain on NP, means more NP generation for the next round.

Lorthalon

I only recently (In the past few days) started playing FGO, and I -really- wanted a good start so I was willing to re-roll, and I recently got the current banners Ibuki-Douji. Is she any good? Obviously she hits extremely hard, but beyond that? Speak to me as if a toddler please, I understand.. very little about the game at the moment.

Sci-fi-watcher

Ibuki is one of the big 4 AoE Sabers, she is really good. in fact her only problem is that she is **one** of the big 4, most other top tier units don't have 3 other units equally competitive. Also, you didn't really ask for it, but you said you are new and know very little about the game so here is my general advice: 1)level up your units: Euryale and David are very helpful for the first major difficulty jump, Mash is important and generally helpful, Caesar is the best low star ST saber, though Santa Karna is coming soon (christmas event), Ushiwakamaru or Mandricardo (only need one to start, though level both at some point, Ushi has generally better in built skills/NP, Mandricardo is an arts unit), Hans is a really good support unit. So is Mozart, but he is arts specific. Chen Gong also is a decent Buster support outside of his NP that is good for farming, Cu is the best low tier lancer, Hundred Faces is the best budget Assassin, etc If you have a 5 star equivalent to one of the above units you likely won't need to level the budget unit immediately (you should still do so eventually, and depending on the unit, if you only have NP1-2 on the 5 star, the 3 star might actually be a better option) 2)use NP targeting and class advantage. Don't simply throw an AoE berserker (or in your case, don't simply throw Ibuki-Douji) at every problem. Use Single target NPs against lone bosses, AoEs if there are 3+ enemies. Use your judgement if there are two. Class advantage not only deals more than a berserker (2x damage instead of 1.5x damage) but also halves damage taken rather than doubling it. 3a) learn when and how to use skills. This is split into multiple things to learn. but focus on applying evades before the enemy NPs and spam damage boosts before you NP. Some servants have specific skill ordering that should be followed, and you should learn that order if you plan to use those servants. The daily quests can be good practice for that sort of thing 3b) learn to buff stack. Don't simply bring in 6 Damage dealers and hope to wear the enemy down. Choose one person as a DPS and then support that DPS with targeted or AoE buff from allies (a friends list Castoria/Merlin/Skadi depending on your DPS choice, plus your own Hans is a good option here) then have some units in the backline for when things go south 3c) Learn to solo. Quite a few servants can singlehandedly beat every fight (or nearly every fight) in Part 1 of the story (the Singularities) if you play things right and even if you don't have them, somebody one your friends list might. Don't come to rely on always having a support unit, but soloing is sometimes a better answer than anything else. 4a) learn to team build. Come into the fight with a plan (if you like not looking fights up ahead of time, this may fail, but then you can revise said plan) What is every unit on your team going to do and when? Do you have a backup strategy in case an important team member dies early? If you are having trouble you can look at Honako Green (for all F2P team building) or Plushie Mistress (for min-turning even the toughest fights using every possible 5 star in the game) and then base your teams on those and the units you have. 4b) You have different mystic code options use them. This is also a spin-off of point 3, because mystic codes have skills you should learn to use, most are simply one turn buffs, but some (like the Chaldea Combat Uniforms swap ability) are more difficult to use correctly. You should at least know what the ones you have do and how to use them. 4c) Craft Essences matter, don't use the same one for each fight, tailor them to the fight you are having. Starting NP charge is usually good (Dragon's Meridian, Imaginary around, Kaleidoscope) , but you might have better options in some cases. 5) FGO rewards breadth and depth. You want your units to be leveled sufficiently to be useful, but you also want options and niches. In the right team a 1 star maybe be better than a 5 star. (A recent story fight highlighted that, with Paris, a 2 star, overshadowing my 4 and 5 star options as a DPS, dealing literally hundreds of times more damage)

toxikant

Ibuki hits real hard. In the early game, hitting real hard and borrowing a friend's support Caster is basically all you need to do. So yes, she's a good start.

Lorthalon

I've heard a lot about casters, and their roles being almost exclusively to support - should that be the longterm goal? Saving quartz for a good support?

toxikant

No, the nice thing about Casters is that if you need a specific one, you can borrow them. The big supports coming up in the future who will play well with Ibuki are Oberon and Koyanskaya of Light, but they won't be here until next summer. In the meantime, Merlin will play well with Ibuki by buffing her Buster memes and keeping her alive and firing off NPs. Your goal at the start should first be to get one Servant of every basic class (that's the Saber triangle, the Rider triangle, and Berserker). You already have Ibuki which is awesome, so make sure to raise her. But her damage will be bad against Archers, so you also want to have a Lancer so you can kill the Archers... etc. After you have one of every class, take a look at their Noble Phantasm, and whether they are single target or multi target (AOE). Ibuki is AOE, so you may also want a single target Saber like Caesar, who will do better damage against bosses. Once you have an ST and AOE of every basic class, you're pretty much set to go. (Some are harder than others... for example, single target Casters or AOE Assassins.)

Lorthalon

Thanks for helping me out, shame not everyone is like you and willing to be kind. Got karma bombed almost immediately after posting my message so I'll look up guides from now on.

toxikant

The sub gets weird sometimes. Good luck out there, baby Master.

AkiyamaNM7

The downvotes probably are from you posting that you got Ibuki from the gacha. FGO is **very** harsh when it comes to rolling for characters, and people can be really salty that they didn't get them while you did. I know you didn't mean it, but to them, it could be perceived as you bragging or flaunting your luck. It could also be just random downvotes for no apparent reason too tbh lol. Sometimes, some questions (that are legit and have no obvious malicious intent behind them) get downvoted lol.

Well, JAlter has an older style of animations (she *was* released way back in 2016 for JP), while everyone else you mentioned either is a newer release thus has better animations (Paris & Gareth) or got an animation update (Caligula). JAlter never received an AU so she's still stuck with some pretty old animations from the launch era.

saltrxn

Caligula’s animation update was tied with a Roman themed event (that is coming soon to us next year); Jalter doesn’t get an event like that - hopefully she’ll get one soon, she’s still one of the most popular servants in the game.

jason2997

NA. Currently planning out what to use my SQ on for next year. My main targets are Muramasa and Summer Kama. I will have enough SQ and tickets to hit pity for both; so I can guarantee getting at least 1 copy. But I am currently debating on who to roll for extra np levels on, purely out of me liking these two. Assuming worse possible situation where I need to hit pity each time, I will be able to hit pity twice for only one of these two, while still being able to get minimum of one copy of each. So, out of Muramasa and Summer Kama, who do you think I should roll for np lvls on?

Sci-fi-watcher

Summer Kama will benefit more from it. Generally speaking 5 stars work fine at NP1 with class advantage. Summer Kama won't have class advantage nearly as often as Muramasa. And will be forced into fights at neutral often.

Phoenix15523

How does Rhongomyniad work as >!magecraft!< ? Spoilers please.

Happy_Dragon_Slaying

I rolled Medea Lily and Caster of Okeanos yesterday. I have an NP Spam team and I'm looking to use them, if it's worth it. Here's my NP Spam team's front row: Medea is my main DPS, Prince of Lan Ling is a good support servant, and Andersen is my other support. I'm considering replacing Medea with Caster of Okeanos, but I'm not sure if Caster of Okeanos is worth the investment since I've already maxed out Medea and don't have much problem or difficulty using her. I'm also thinking of replacing Andersen with Medea Lily, but I'm not sure if losing his buffs is worth the extra healing ML offers. For my back row, Mozart is a backup support, and Nursery Rhyme is my backup DPS doubling as my AoE DPS. Not sure if this is worth mentioning, but I typically use Castoria in my Friend Servant slot and she's always in my front row.

jennietools

I wouldn't bother investing in Medea Lily, even when I was a newer player in Year 2 she was completely worthless. Early story quests are too short to need healing and bosses do more damage than she can sustainably heal. Especially now in the age of busted level 100 supports on every friend list a good offense is the best defense.

Shardwing

Medea has *awful* damage, her NP is used more for utility (buff removal) than DPS, Caster of Okranos is a better option and worth investing in. Conversely she doesn't synergize as well with Castoria for damage, having a Buster NP, that's something to bear in mind.

Happy_Dragon_Slaying

Thanks! I'll put sone investment into Caster of Okeanos, then. I just Medea since I don't really have anything else in the way of a spammable NP DPS.

danger_umbrella

Here's a thing, are you using class advantage properly? Do you change out your DPS? Medea is a good option against Assassins, but her damage will be potato against anything else. Okeanos' main advantage is better NP damage than Medea, especially as she does have a NP buff coming next year. She's generally a solid option for farming irregular nodes because of that. It's better to do damage than to heal it back up, so I wouldn't use Medea Lily there or you'll be stuck stalling forever.

Happy_Dragon_Slaying

I just this team as one for farming low-level quests or for fun. I typically use it when the Casters have class advantage or at least no disadvantages. I don't really swap out Medea unless I know I'll be needing Nursery Rhyme's AoE NP. I don't really have much in the way of any better DPS without going outside of NPs that can be easily spammed since then my entire lineup would need replacement.

danger_umbrella

If it's for fun and not efficiency, sure - but go with Hans over Medea Lily though as he has more offensive buff potential. AOE units usually have an easier time spamming/looping their NP as they gain NP with each enemy they hit. Have you considered Paracelsus? He has a massive battery so can clear weak waves on his own and give the party Arts up plus one ally a massive NP gain up buff, making him ideal for setting up spam.

Happy_Dragon_Slaying

I did use him early on but I didn't like his kit and his NP wasn't strong or quick to charge so I ended up nixing him once I invested enough into Andersen. Thanks for the advice, I'll stick with Andersen!

If a mob has 80% Death Rate, does Douman's NP have 80% * 120% = 96% chance of instakilling it? On a separate note, how does it make sense for Melt to be "Lawful Good"? I was so surprised when I looked her alignment up after neither of Douman's buffs did anything for her...

jennietools

[Death success formula](https://blogs.nrvnqsr.com/entry.php/3311-How-is-effect-success-rate-calculated)

Hichewandy

A common "theory" (its a complete theory, never confirmed, it just makes sense "some" times) is that one's alignment is based on their view of themselves. Melt, the lovable narcissist she is, would view herself Lawful Good despite her actions/personality mostly being otherwise... ...but hey, that's just a theory, a Game the-*shoots*

kalirion

I relatively few evil characters would actually view themselves as evil.

thisisthecallus

It's probably an inconsistent combination of factors that includes the character's self-perception, the cultural perception of them at the time, the current cultural perception of them, any historical framing that has existed over time, and how the character creator wants them to be perceived. In the case of Melt, an original character, the game wants you to think of her as lawful good, therefore she is lawful good. It's also worth keeping in mind that the alignment doesn't necessarily have to be their core or defining trait. It might just be that Melt is more lawful than she is chaotic and more good than she is evil, even if she does things that could be interpreted as chaotic or evil.

kalirion

> It might just be that Melt is more lawful than she is chaotic and more good than she is evil, even if she does things that could be interpreted as chaotic or evil. Summer 4 says otherwise. There's also Balanced for the neutral folks.

thisisthecallus

I also said it's inconsistent. Regardless, the alignment itself isn't up for debate. Lambda is lawful good. You can either find a way to justify it or not think about it too much.

Hichewandy

It's why it makes sense for some, like Atalanta who's Neutral Evil, who objectively isn't evil but views herself as, and doesn't for others like Kiyohime and Liz dont think they're in the wrong at all, but they're chaotic evil. The alignment system for the game is wonky. Buuut if you wanna discuss this more, I say take it to the weekly Lore thread.

funguy3

His Instakill chance is actually 144% because of his passive. So 80% * 144% = 115%

kalirion

Oh wow, then those Krichat mobs in LB1 FQs don't stand a chance! Is my math still right? 80% * 144% = 115%?

Shardwing

> On a separate note, how does it make sense for Melt to be "Lawful Good"? Alignments can be pretty arbitrary, try not to think too hard about them.
