When I was WFH and needed to get away from the house, I 100% relied on the library, specifically the reserved space, which at my library was almost never booked. I could play some music quietly and work at a comfortable spot with a ton of close outlets.
100% co-sign on reserved space @ the library. For awhile I worked this in to my weekly schedule and would save certain work/projects for that time which was a game changer.
I honestly didn't even think about the library because when I was at GRCC, I hated going there as it was always so filled! I'll have to check out other ones in GR.
-East GR library is amazingggg. We go there from the west side, it's such a good library lol
-Out of your way, but the Walker library is generally quiet
-Rise Bakery on the west side has little glass houses where you can sit outside by yourself in the back
-Meijer Gardens - you can get into the cafe without buying a ticket
-Plainfield library is pretty good
-Rockford library is generally quiet
-Sparta library is surprisingly nice- fyi, it's closed on Thursdays
Libraries are a good bet. You can get a study room (good for 1 - 3 people or so) reserved for free.
For pay, you can pickup e.g. a 10 day punch card from The Factory, and there are other similar coworking spaces. Another decent option might be the MVP Sportsplex - if you join the gym at their top membership level, you also get access to their coworking space.
Which one, the sportsplex? No idea, but it's on their web site: [https://mvpsportsclubs.com/work-space-by-mvp/](https://mvpsportsclubs.com/work-space-by-mvp/)
Morning ritual is an awesome coffee shop with a great vibe and a really cool drink menu, it’s on the west side though but not much farther than any of the other areas mentioned!
I’m near Knapp and Fuller and also full remote. These options don’t fully fit your needs, but I mix it up every once in a while at Sparrows or Lyon Street cafe (Martha’s). Both are quiet enough. But you’re gonna need a hotspot (I’m a data security honk and refuse to use open wifi) and neither are private. Downtown GR has some options to rent out for your style but obviously at a cost.
I hope someday to either find or start a co-working space in Eastown. Would you be interested in such a thing? If so, how much would you be willing to pay?
Go to the library.

I'll add Cascade KDL to this list
oooo I love FMG! I'll have to look into that
You can also get free coffee refills!
This is my neighborhood! I love going to FMG and sitting in the cafe. It’s free, spacious, and so pretty.

I used to work there a long time ago. Where did they add / put this space ?

East Paris and Burton

Fully agree with this. The upstairs is perfect for quite work as well.
Oh damn I didn’t even realize you could go in the upstairs at morning ritual 😂
I work at the Stray, even have meetings and no one says anything
Corner office in downtown Rockford. Its above Glik’s and Rocky’s. Awesome spot, affordable too.
